Fun game, I wish you would have added an attack button. It was fun and nice to play. Controls are kind of sticky. Also, why did you add humor as a category?

Loved the game! Very creative with a nice mood. Little upsetting that there was no EXE, had to compile source myself :(. Hope you get that fixed! Overall a great game; Good job!

Game was quite boring. Graphics were good and audio was great.
Game was great but, could've done something a little more creative then a tower defense.
This game is very challenging and fun. I enjoy the retro view with the TV. The controls are fair. The problem is, I cannot hear any audio in the game. But overall, a good and fun game. Challenging with that classic feeling of victory after getting past the lasers.
Game was pretty good, especially the multiplier aspect. somewhat generic, but still fun!
Great game but I can't put my finger on 'unconventional weapon', I have experienced all the unconventional TOOLS, they were absolutely awesome!
Loving the sound it makes when you jump or make a bubble! really cool game, would love to see the controls made a bit more controllable for the player, otherwise it is super fun to play.

I usually hate sitting through automated troubleshooting systems but this one was EXTREMELY entertaining! One of the best I've played so far, I would really like to see this with a few other scenarios!

Downloaded the zip folder and my computer says it was a virus... Not sure how you made the game but I'd rather not risk it.
It's not bad. I was hoping for more. But I was glad to come play your game, Ive seen you commenting everywhere. Jams are rough...I give props to anyone that even really tries.
The idea behind the game is intriguing, but I would like to see the mechanics have a physical difference when using 'kindness, happiness and good intentions' and for them to work in different ways to mix up gameplay.

Very well rounded game!
My favorite play so far. Not a fan of the controls...they feel fine...just dont like the setup...not a fan of having to use multiple sources for control. Otherwise I really liked it. Camera jump is a hair strong, but i had the same issues in our game...time man. This game is great. Added to my library. Thanks for a great job.
I understand how the game works but it doesn't always work the way you want it too. Sometimes placing a block on a node doesn't do anything, other times it works well. Could stand to have a bit more of an obvious 'IF THE RED GUYS SEE THE GREEN GUY THEY KILL IT AND YOU LOSE' sort of message...
It needs some love. It plays flat. Good start though.

Amazing
The feels I got from this game... As a player I was easy to form a connection with the dog with the clever use of static text over the map. Game play is very minimal but it evokes a very emotional experience.
Was an interesting game, the controls were a bit clunky to use but after playing for a little while I got the hang of it. Well made game for such a short development time too. I would suggest a little more feedback for the player when they do actions such as the enemies flashing when they get hit and a simpler control scheme to begin with. Over all great game.

Interesting game, I can see this being a cool mobile game. Just needs to be more obvious that you need to build up static charge before you can zap the enemies. I'm not sure everyone realized you could move your mouse back and forth faster to make it charge up.

Pretty cool platformer
I think that this game lacks the use of an unconventional weapon... It is pretty much weirdly themed platformer with the odd mechanic of a helicopter paving the way for you. I don't particularly like the fact I have no control over anything besides movement.
Ups and Downs....but i got what i was expecting...and i love it. No Backterria...I haven't beaten it....yet.
Interesting premise, 'Words are weapons' right? Was like playing as donkey kong with letters haha.
Neat idea...that was about it for me. It just wasnt my thing. My wife did not appreciate it at all. lol
There was just something about this...simple....hard...fun. Thanks!

Interesting game... Would like to see the use of 'drugs' to be a bit more creative like the very first one I used at the start to get through the door. (at least i think it was the reason I got through the door) Like warping the players reality briefly to open up a different path.

Seemed like a pretty stock standard game with an 'unconventional' weapon. I think most people in the jam have just made some wacky weapons... Other than that it was a pretty cool shoot em' up!

@Pizzamakesgames screenshot of loading was due to scrappy internet service...weren't sure if the game would upload in time and this allowed us to show uploading during the official time limit. In regards to your control issues we clearly stated that we are fixing some bugs. The programmer is 14yrs old and just started high school this week....my son...he will be giving his bugs when he comes home from school. Thanks so much for your understanding. ?

@soulgame thank you! Getting these stupid bugs fixed asap...mom made me go to bed early on Sunday and Monday was my first day of high school...so I had a bunch of errors I couldn't fix in time. Should have most of them addressed soon.
So my son had a pretty hectic first week of high school and only last night was finally able to get the chance to fix most of his bugs. Turned out a handful of issues were related to github errors on a merge...had a bunch of files get corrupted. Now that he's managed to get most of that fixed we will put together a new post sometime today.

I think overall he did at least a decent job of getting the game running...its a shame he had to have his first week of school at the same time...caused him to really be limited in the hours he had to program this.
I know he had sfx in the game, he may not have got them working properly though.
The controls are most definitely explained on the game's itch.io page...as well as a very small "tutorial" occurs in the ui.

Flobe ONLY uses gamepad. There are no keyboard controls.

There are 3 enemy types, but you have to get a multiplier up to around 15x to start seeing them

the difficulty really begins around the 15x multiplier, it just keeps increasing from there. We will keep working on it. The next level of difficulty is a two colored bar, where you have to collect the correct color on the correct side.

The definition for 2 buttons was vague, some would say that technically the directional pad is a button, some would not....but no, there is no intention to use the keyboard and never was, we realize that limits some players, but controllers are the bees knees baby! You intentionally can't flip the bar, we tried it, but it became confusing to the player to remember which ends were controlled.

Even PS3 controllers are a headache for MAC, especially when trying to program both controller styles to operate. They make it so ridiculous to map them between Xbox and PS. Xbox works on the MAC though
PS4 Controllers do not work on most PC games.
PS3 do but even then you have better odds with a 3rd party controller.
Default is almost always...sadly...xbox controllers on PC

Yeah, we never for a second intended to have keyboard controls. as for the bug...we just didn't have time to fix that for the jam. We are still working on it though.

Well that was silly for you to even try if your controller doesn't have 2 analog sticks, as the directions clearly state use 2 analog sticks. Sorry you didn't get the chance to really play it. As far as keys, well it's simple...I'm going to be making the game for console...not to mention it's nowhere near as fun to play on a keyboard. It's a gamepad only game by design choice....it's only intended to be controlled by twin stick function. Plain and simple.
Again really sorry you couln't really give it a go.

The benefit of the word...lol...well it's a word game. So getting the word correct before the boss fight does 2 things....it will give you a shield on your last life against the boss (so not a bug there), as well as award you an extra life if you beat the boss. If you get the word incorrect, no shield and no extra life.

Well it's only 2 mechanics...I can see how that could be tough. If we separated the 2 mechanics, it completely dissolves the game design we absolutely intended. The entire point is to have to unscramble a word while still playing a shmup. This ain't grandmas Boggle!

Some of the words won't just make sense because you don't know them. Lol...GROW YOUR VOCABULARY. They are all legit words and can be found in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary. When you get a word wrong the game tells you the correct word so you can look it up and learn something. Edutainment at it's bullet hell best.
Also, you are only forced to play the tutorial the first time you play. For a mechanic scheme that's not been done before, it's very important to teach a player how to play your game.
