Couldn't figure out how to get around the bat after getting a piece of paper with a key on it. It looks like you should be able to make a jump, but I can't for the life of me make it.
Really liked the artstyle and music, though I can't see how this fit the theme at all. The jumping was really nicely dialed in, except for that thing I mentioned first.
Well done, might check it out again if someone leaves a comment on what I was doing wrong.

Very beautiful and good mood. It's just hard to figure out what to do.
This game gave me a strong sense of exploration and adventure I have first experienced in a ludum dare game.
I successfully got 4 papers and had lots of "a ha!" moments.
However, I came to the top of the zombie room and I couldn't go through the door, am I doing something wrong?
On that note, perhaps better visual indication on what was a door yet still fit in with the style.
Anyways, great music and graphics and the random(or-is-he) Miyazaki-like character called Joe made me laugh.
Great work on the art. Also, the background music and drones were nice and fitting. I also got stuck on the bat after the waterfall, so I don't think I got far enough to discover the unconventional weapon.
This game was pretty fun. I feel like it could have used more direction; from outside the first house I didn't know where the entrances to other places were for a while.
Otherwise a really cool concept and I would play this again :)

I have a few nits about this:
1) Transitions need to be clearer, I spent a few minutes until I just ran across the entirety of the first map, clicking down to see where the transition into the forest was.
2) Hitboxes are too big (spider can kill me, even though it is not "touching" me).
I was pretty lost throughout the experience, but, the graphics are gorgeous and the music is soothing and mellow. The game could use some sound effects aside from that...
I really dig the concept of having to summon several familiars to do your bidding, very befitting for the theme ;)
Good luck, great entry :)

The graphics, animation and the solid platforming physics make this one especially shine.
Unfortunately I think I hit a but; I was killed by one of the zombies, and when I respawned I was stuck in ground and couldn't move. I think there also needed to be more player feedback - like transitions between areas and being hit etc. Still it was a good concept, the ideas and the different familiars were cool, and well done on the great atmosphere - it felt like a world I wanted to explore more.
