LD29 — Beneath the Surface

The Mine by Almost 2014-04-29T02:57:00

Very impressive! It ran smoothly for me and the AI was always fun to watch. I will just echo others and say I wish there were more things to do, but I understand the time crunch!

Ablate by VDOgamez 2014-04-29T04:07:00

Nice game! Looks simple but has quite a lot of depth. I do agree it is a bit slow but the bombardments help keep up the pressure.

Reggid by bombjack 2014-04-29T22:51:00

Fun game! The controls act strange if you use the wasd keys instead of the arrow keys. Great art! Simple premise but I like it.

Heart of the Cards by roaet 2014-04-30T03:31:00

I enjoyed this quite a bit. Very cool idea - it was fun to see what the game said. I think you could emphasize the memory aspect a bit more - maybe the number of turns influences whether the story has a good or bad ending? I only had two complaints: the connection to the theme is pretty weak and sometimes the game did not recognize my clicks. Overall, great game.

You Are a Mole! by valgriz 2014-04-29T23:19:00

Fun little game! I appreciate having an in-game how to play screen. A few times I thought I was done for, but was able to squeeze into a crack. Well done!

Dwarves Manager, NES Game by Khopa 2014-04-28T21:32:00

Very impressive to make an actual NES game. Worked fine in my emulator. It is very glitchy but but charming. Only issue was at first I didn't understand that I could mine gold anywhere (was expecting ore to pop up or something!) Good job!

DownDown by mrexcessive 2014-05-04T03:09:00

Pretty fun! At first the game was very easy, but started to get challenging by level 5 or so! In the heat of the moment I would forget the number each color needed, so I feel some display on the cubes themselves would be nice. The mix up on failing to match orange cubes actually saved me once, so that punishment should be rethought! All in all, very fun!

Sim Aunt by RobotLovesKitty 2014-04-30T04:19:00

Completly surreal haha. Loved the aunt graphics. I could never find a bad auntie. Feels unfinished but I'm glad you just ran with it.

Beneath The Skin by minibutmany 2014-04-28T21:40:00

Fun game. I had the same problems as CayoDaves but overall enjoyed it. It was cool that you could push the red blood cells to safety as an alternative to shooting bacteria.

Platform Hero by greysphere 2014-04-29T02:19:00

Very cute! I liked the music and art. Very polished as well. The hearts felt a little meaningless, or is that a joke at cats having nine lives? Regardless, some kind of loss condition or score would be nice. I wish I could watch the cat instead of having to keep my eyes glued to the keys, haha!

Firefish by Snicklodocus 2014-04-29T02:49:00

Thank you for the comments everyone.

@Almost: Ah I see how you did that. If I expand on this it will be interesting to think about how to fix that. Maybe spread fish and powerups farther apart.

Firefish by Snicklodocus 2014-04-29T03:10:00

@VDOgamez: Beneath the surface made me think of volcanoes and then melting rock. Somehow, when I was trying to think how that could be fun, I came up with this lava fish thing, haha!

Firefish by Snicklodocus 2014-05-03T22:29:00

Thanks for the comments everyone!

@mrexcessive: That's strange. Thank you for letting me know. I can't reproduce these errors. Anyone else experiencing them?

I would say to make sure num-lock is on but you said both sets of number keys were not working. Could some outside program be blocking or redirecting your input? As for Q, maybe fish #1 was dead?

Firefish by Snicklodocus 2014-05-21T21:19:00

Thanks again for all the ratings!

WhiteWolf93, thanks for the kind words! I do plan to enter again in August. Hope to see you then as well!

Amongst the Sand & Spice by ghostmaple 2014-04-29T04:12:00

This a pretty cool game. I like the double views (top down and perspective). I found myself switching between them to locate prey and figure out which way was left and right. Good job.

Debt Diver by aaronj 2014-04-29T03:55:00

Very nice graphics and smooth controls. Good balance between risk and reward of diving deep. I enjoyed it!

Nuclear Waste Zone by granut100 2014-04-29T02:02:00

Yeah my character got stuck on walls. Also, many times bats would trap me since you can only throw horizontally. I still enjoyed the game though. Good, simple graphics and mood!

Anterraria by Sim00n 2014-04-30T03:42:00

Extremely ambitious game. It's rough but once I figured out the controls, I had a good time. The ants are very picky about digging and I never understood the mating mechanics. This game could be a lot of fun, I hope you continue working on it!

House of Clouds by Azzar 2014-05-04T03:16:00

Enjoyed this one. It's nice you can play it by yourself or two-player. The input works well. Only confusion for me was I wasn't sure which turret I was controlling at first, and accidentally killed my partner haha. Good job!

Bricked by twelveplusplus 2014-04-30T04:07:00

Not a bad Breakout game. The background was pretty cool although the paddle was too closely colored and blended in. I wish there was something outside the board as well. Weak connection to the theme but I did enjoy the music!

Can You Dig It? by otato 2014-04-29T04:00:00

Fun little game! I especially liked the HUD graphics. Didn't realize the blobs were evil at first - they look too cute!

BTS-1337 by icereci 2014-05-04T02:58:00

I really liked the sound in this game. Art was not bad but inconsistent. The darkness mechanic worked well, but was a little monotonous. It would have been nice for some things to break up the rhythm, like faster moving objects or bonuses that light up for a second and disappear. Overall, good job!

IO - Reflection/Puzzler by oranebeast 2014-05-04T03:33:00

Fun game! The puzzles were pretty well designed and the mechanics, although few, were well used. I would say the difficulty ramped up slowly for me, but I love the types of games. I thought your music was fine! My only complaints were mirror rotation and not being able to remove a placed item. Overall I enjoyed it though!

Rat King by woodenrabbit 2014-05-04T03:55:00

Fun game! The AI was fun to watch in itself. I also liked the art. Good job!

Amy's Rescue by WhiteWolf93 2014-05-04T02:47:00

I played the compo version. Great art and sound! Nice use of shaders and other effects. Gameplay was fun except jumping was inconsistent and I would often stick to walls. The frame rate also slowed pretty badly during the boss fight. Think I'll go back and see your improvements in the web version. Good job!

ResourceDivers by Rock48 2014-04-29T03:49:00

The game ran fine for me! It was pretty relaxing just swimming around collecting stuff. Good job.

Folicular Rustling by 4sap 2014-04-30T03:50:00

I hate ticks so this was satisfying! I liked the strategy of leaving them for a while so you can get more points later. I was a little confused at what was happening during level transitions (thought I had lost). Overall, good job.

Ant's Revenge by shalskar 2014-04-29T01:55:00

First off, something about the ant sprite makes me really like it. Besides that, good foundation but needs work. The camera makes the game very hard to play and my head kept getting stuck in platforms. Good first entry though.

Virus LD48 by EmberKirk 2014-04-29T02:42:00

Playing around with the mechanics is fun. I could see this expanded!

Badass Pinguin by theundeadwarrior 2014-04-29T01:18:00

Nice game! I enjoyed the art! I also liked the two-level design, but the platform generator does need some work. Many times I would start the game below the ice platforms or directly over a large hole. I also thought the platforms were too hard to see.

Beneath the Surface by Milktoast 2014-04-29T23:32:00

I love the art style and the arcade theme. I feel that the game might be better controlled by the mouse, but maybe that was by design? (Just read your comment. Fair enough!) I found myself playing this longer than expected. Great reimagining of a classic!

Mermurder! by Root Beer Barrel Boys 2014-04-29T03:07:00

This was pretty funny and a good time! The art was very nice and I loved little touches like the fish swimming around you. I felt like reaching the bottom of the sea was a little too hard and took the focus away from seducing the fishermen. A small bug: you can swim beyond the edge of the screen at the water's surface. Overall though, very well done!

Robot Digger 3000 by fernandomdr 2014-04-30T04:01:00

This was pretty cool, although as a programmer I am biased. The puzzles were simple but well designed and paced. Only complaint is I wish the commands were shorter to type. Good job!

Blundergaffe by teamluckyred 2014-04-29T03:40:00

One of the more innovative games I've seen so far. The controls are very complex but I was able to get the hang of them. Very nice!

New Dawn by Penguincat 2014-04-29T23:14:00

I'm impressed you were able to make such a large area. The atmosphere and writing really stand out. I did have trouble with the chase as well. Besides that, maybe there was too much empty space, but all in all I enjoyed the game!

Hell Manager by ATTA Games 2014-04-29T01:32:00

Good first entry! I found a small bug that the game would not send down the final sinner if two people were in the cage. My only other complaint was the sound was a bit loud.

Digger Grave by ajfischer 2014-04-29T02:37:00

A nice little exploration game. The jetpack was a good idea - I often dug too far down. Good job!

Feill Fadalach by NiallM 2014-04-28T18:29:00

I like it! Sharing a controller heightens the chaos. Even by yourself watching the cats move around is fun. I especially liked the graphics style.

Dig Master by cirolve 2014-04-29T02:23:00

Fun! Fast paced and well balanced. The coins were nice to add some strategy and risk.

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Connecting LD30 to the Real World by Will Edwards 2014-09-04T21:05:00

This is really cool. I love all the little funny touches on the world map. Great idea and execution. My only complaint is scrolling with the mouse wheel is inverted from what I'm used to, but that's minor.

Connect with the Dirt by Larzan 2014-09-05T22:32:00

Nice filters. The gameplay idea is great - I would love to see it expanded upon. Great job.

Spirit World by vico87 2014-08-29T20:30:00

I liked the two-health system - could add some interesting strategy. It took me a while to figure out the controls but they're straightforward once you do. Good job!

Nexxuz by rustybroomhandle 2014-09-04T22:46:00

Loved the voxel-style graphics. The backgrounds are slightly too busy - things tended to blend in. I think stronger shadows might help with this. Good, simple gameplay. I enjoyed it.

The Turtle Escape by Transmit 2014-08-25T22:32:00

Pretty cool little game. I had some trouble with collisions: it felt like the turtle's collider was too big and I got stuck on walls. At first I wondered how this fit the theme but it has a fun twist. Good work!

Heart Star by AdventureIslands 2014-08-25T21:01:00

Very nice! Great, simple art and sounds. My only complaint would be the "floaty" controls make precision jumps difficult. Luckily, I only had trouble with that on the last level. Enjoyed it!

Willy The Triangle by coolo 2014-09-11T21:09:00

I like the idea of this game. The third dimension is very difficult. Controls were pretty smooth for me. Good job!

ENTANGLEMENT by mtrc 2014-09-04T01:52:00

I loved how you managed to make block-pushing puzzles feel new with a simple mechanic. Difficulty seemed to spike after a few puzzles, but overall I liked the level design. Great job!

The Trader by TravisChen 2014-09-10T20:52:00

Great art and sound! The waves and music really set the mood. Gameplay is not super interesting but it's fun to sail around. Good job.

Twinkle by ReddogStone 2014-08-26T21:15:00

Fun game! As you say, I think this is a good base for something more. Relaxing but still challenging. I did try to get the best score before moving onwards. The stars changing position each reset was a little annoying, and some placements were hard to see. Overall, I enjoyed it!

Space Fight 3000 (II) by ComaToes 2014-08-26T22:16:00

Nice game! I love how bullets are affected by gravity. Boosting was fun as well. Once, an alien strayed so far from the play area I died trying to catch it. But, had fun with this one. Good job.

PLANETOID by Kortuga 2014-09-12T03:51:00

I loved the art and music in this game. The video helped me understand the game, and it's fun to explore. Good job.

Stratera by highlyinteractive 2014-09-10T21:09:00

Great base, but needs more content. Still, I had fun with it. Good controls and I loved the art. Good job!

Technical Nightmare by se1by 2014-08-26T22:10:00

Good job! I played the web version on Firefox - seemed to work OK. The character graphics were very nice and I liked the music. My biggest complaint is that input is unresponsive - the player keeps walking for a bit when I quit holding forward and does not jump immediately. But, overall, I had fun.

Links by esayitch 2014-08-27T17:41:00

A fun twist on 2D shooters. Links made you stay alert to both screens. I liked the simple graphics. Great job!

byepolar by bentog 2014-08-26T20:56:00

Very nice! A pretty simple idea but one I haven't seen much. The puzzles were well designed. I did run into a few problems while pushing blocks, but the levels are short enough that reloading isn't annoying. Great job!

E.T.I.T. by BinaryPie 2014-08-26T23:04:00

Great use of the theme, and fun as well! The way signals focused as they got larger was smart. The spaceship driving feels a bit unnecessary but was enjoyable all the same. Good job!

Orbit by Noah Ratcliff 2014-08-25T21:17:00

Fun game! At first I was confused because I did not realize planets would move towards your mouse cursor when beamed. Afterwards, it was fun bumping the planets into place. I feel like some indicator of how much tractor beam strength you have would be nice, and planets locking into each other after the dotted line disappeared was unexpected. I think the game is fine without music. Impressive number of levels as well. Overall, I enjoyed it.

Advesperation by dook 2014-08-29T20:10:00

This was very cool. I loved the mixture of Twine and Unity - that worked really well. The story was well written and the art was great, but I wish there was audio to really set the mood. Good job!

Jack Primus: Peacekeeper by TeamQuadratic 2014-09-12T02:25:00

I liked the comics! Platforming was difficult since it was difficult to control the Jack. I liked the music but it seemed to stop after being on a level for a while. But, great job!

Grim Gateway by radmars 2014-08-27T16:56:00

First off, I love your team logo! The graphics are really the stand-out here. There's some strategy in choosing where to kill the fish so it's easier to grab the souls later. Enjoyed this one!

Luna by CrownCity 2014-09-05T21:35:00

Very hard but really cool. Who knew a ladder could create such an interesting mechanic. Graphics and music are nice too. Good job!

Ice by ice cold muffin 2014-09-12T02:38:00

I loved the graphics style! Game itself is fun but I didn't understand how the dotted lines formed. Enjoyed it though. Good job!

Circling Circles by Linus Lindberg 2014-08-26T22:47:00

This is really fun! Simple and easy to play but requires strategy. I played it on Firefox with no issue. I miss sound effects, but I enjoyed the minimalist graphics. Good job.

A World Between by Mekuri 2014-09-04T01:40:00

Really cool. Great controls and graphics. I liked the music too. It's just really fun to fly around! Good job.

Moonstone by NightShadow0 2014-09-04T22:51:00

I really like this game. Great use of the theme. I think some might think the audio is grating; I thought it was really charming. Collision and controls could use some work, but I really like how each successive astronaut has to traverse a slightly more difficult version of the puzzle. Great job.

Steel Saviour by Aifryz 2014-08-29T20:38:00

I thought using real photos was a cool idea and good use of the theme. Gameplay was simple but worked pretty well. I wish the level layouts were a bit more varied though. Good job!

TransmissionForce by Binary Gambit 2014-08-28T21:09:00

Fun game! I did not understand what to do at first, but the controls are really nicely done once you get the hang of it. Good difficulty. I enjoyed it!

NECLiD by 0x0961h 2014-09-04T21:49:00

Great use of the theme! I liked the simple graphics. The music was a bit grating and also didn't loop well, but fit the mood well. Pretty deep puzzles for a block pushing game! Great job.

Binary System by rogueNoodle 2014-09-04T20:59:00

This was really great. I loved the graphics style, and the audio really complements it. I've played another game with the same mechanic this LD, but I think this is better balanced and polished. Good job!

Virus Quest by jeffrydegrande 2014-09-04T21:41:00

Pretty cool. Liked the music and art, though I think the player character has alight mismatched style. It's difficult, fast-paced fun. Good job!

wrldDIVISION by orbitantlers 2014-09-04T21:38:00

Really nice use of shaders and the audio was spot on. Very difficult. It's hard to grasp how the small ball's physics work. But, overall great job.

Sweet Dreams by Frankus 2014-09-11T21:23:00

Great audio! I had some weird collision issues and finding the sword was not communicated well. The game creates a good mood though. Great job!

Hexahedron by Jon Fischer 2014-08-28T21:19:00

This is a great idea! I played the compo version and was going to complain about the camera and shaky jumping but it seems you fixed that! I don't think you need to add any goals or unlocks really - this could just be virtual Legos. Seeing others' worlds is pretty impressive. Good job!

The Subconscious by Snicklodocus 2014-08-28T22:10:00

Thanks everyone for playing, rating and commenting!

You will get a game over if you allow too many negative thoughts to stay alive. They also affect your move direction, so that can be a problem!

In the post-compo version I'll be sure to include a better tutorial and add some harder enemies in the late game.

The Subconscious by Snicklodocus 2014-09-16T04:03:00

Thanks everyone for the comments and ratings. I had a lot of fun; can't wait for December!

World Absorber by crneumre 2014-09-04T21:20:00

A very cool idea, but needs a better tutorial and controls. I loved the mechanic enough to keep playing though! Good job.

Alien Gift Exchange by zazery 2014-09-05T03:07:00

Really great. I loved the alien portraits and humor. At first it's hard to figure out what to give aliens, but it makes more sense as you play. Enjoyed it!

Data-Man by Hyoga-3D 2014-09-08T22:13:00

Cool game! I loved the graphics. Definitely a nice update to Pac-Man. The ghosts rarely seemed to chase me but maybe I just didn't notice. I also loved the music! Good job!

Transmission by ljdp 2014-09-05T20:52:00

Cool idea that is strangely fun. I missed audio but the graphics were nice. Good job!

RED Thread by NickZangus 2014-09-04T22:03:00

Great art style and cool mechanics. The camera was very unique and set a good mood. On level 2, the characters kept sticking to walls which I thought was a bug, but looking back I had just shortened the thread by accident, before I knew that was possible! Overall, I enjoyed it!

fyuse by cy4n 2014-08-27T17:35:00

I love the movement mechanic! Collecting planets was really fun too. I wish there was some sound, but everything else was well polished. Great job!

Connect and Conquer: Emperors by Moosefly 2014-09-11T21:17:00

Cool game! There's a lot of clicking involved (it would be cool if you could automatically send ships). I liked the music and the settings menu was nice. Good job!

H.O.C.M.A. by Techblogogy 2014-09-10T20:20:00

Cool idea and good use of the theme, but the execution could use some work. How you build things doesn't seem to have any effect later on, there's a lot of waiting, and the heal link button effectively does nothing. The audio is great though. I hope you can expand on this!

Space Pioneers by Vudu 2014-08-28T21:03:00

I'm not sure I understand the mechanics but still had a good time with this. It's fun to build bridges and then watch your civ expand on it's own. Good job!

Microsystem by Linkigi 2014-08-27T17:27:00

A fun little toy. I like how the big creatures turn to your side if you touch them. They tended to get stuck a lot though. Good job!

The Bunny Theory by cudabear 2014-09-05T21:23:00

I love the bunny sprites! Great music. I think difficulty ramps up too slowly, and jumping feels too floaty, but it's fun to play. Good job!

Asteroid simulator by crazyrems 2014-09-05T21:05:00

Loved the graphics and music, especially the story panels. Controls were strange. I found it easier to use boost to steer instead of WASD. Fun game!

The Legend of Light by Yword 2014-09-05T22:22:00

Great art and mood! Controls were a little annoying for me (used to jumping with space). It was also a bit difficult to jump and attack. Great game though!

zero_sum by FakeHair 2014-09-05T21:12:00

Great idea. Makes me nostalgic for some reason. The web version is very slow on Firefox, but Windows version worked fine. Great job.

Planetsmacker by Moocowsgomoo 2014-09-05T21:08:00

Cool game! I thought the graphics effects were a nice touch. It's a bit hard to get the hang of but I enjoyed it after a few games. Good job.

Connected Worlds Defender by pcmccull 2014-09-05T21:19:00

Cool idea. Took me a while to get the hang of. I ended up having to wait a long time to expand since I didn't realize each planet yielded one mineral type. Really fun though. Good job!

The connected worlds of a guy and his spirit by srakowski 2014-09-05T21:51:00

Cool take on a two-worlds platformer. Good controls considering they're in space. Good job!

Use the Stones by SeanWiles 2014-09-05T21:45:00

I liked the music! I'm not really sure what happened... I guess the dragon came at me from behind because I suddenly teleported to the next island. I second locking the mouse to the screen. Nevertheless, it's a great idea to expand on. Good job.

Solar Annihilation by atgaubatz 2014-09-05T21:48:00

Great audio here. The popping sound is very satisfying haha. Simple idea but executed well. It would be cool if we could somehow affect planet generation. Good job.

Burger Beat by TrickFishPie 2014-08-25T22:05:00

Great first entry! It's very difficult but fun once you get the hang of it. I wish the game would skip the title screen when restarting.

Disconnecting People by Once Upon a Team 2014-09-12T02:14:00

The polish on this is very impressive. The game is very fun too, although I basically just ran around haha. I loved how hectic the game gets at times. Great job.

Planetary Shift by Flatgub 2014-09-05T22:15:00

Sucker for pixel art so I enjoyed that. The mechanics are smartly done. Reading the instructions, I was confused about moons, but playing around with them - they make sense. Undo and more audio would have been nice. Great job!

Notes from a Mad Mage by Razoric 2014-09-09T20:54:00

Loved the music and audio! The ghost mechanic was cool, and made the game even more fast-paced. Good job!

Sinister by Joe Williamson 2014-09-08T21:30:00

Very beautiful game! Art, music, mood are superb. I feel like the intro is long-winded considering the length, but this would be a great beginning to a full game. Shame you couldn't work in some interesting gameplay. Very impressive though! Great job!

TERA - World's Intelligence by NicePenguins 2014-08-26T22:57:00

This was really good! I enjoyed the story, art and music. I wish things were a bit more open-ended but I understand time constraints. Good job!

O.R.B by OhFiddleDiddle 2014-08-25T22:24:00

That was fun! Great voice acting and it was strangely fun to nod and have the characters react. I encountered some graphical glitches with the "How To Nod" billboard showing over the floor. I also wish the mouse was more sensitive. But overall, great job.

Worldly Traveler by MrTedders 2014-08-25T21:48:00

Very charming! Took me a while to figure out what to do, but I liked exploring the planets once I did. I actually liked trying to figure out what to do, although the screws could stand out a bit more. Good job!

PitBall by dcampos 2014-09-11T21:47:00

This was pretty fun. I enjoyed the controls, although it took me a while to figure out how to jump higher. I think horizontal movement was too quick though. Good job!

Iter Bellum Deus by Piscythe 2014-08-28T22:06:00

This game is really good. It seems simple at first but there is a lot of strategy involved. Difficulty curve was well designed. Art and sound are a little plain, but overall great job!

Chipset-0 by deepnight 2014-08-25T20:49:00

Good game! Very polished. I loved the graphics. Really feels like it could be the beginning of a complete game.

The controls gave me some problems; climbing was fine but I think a single jump button would have helped me.

Networkaholics by gmfk07 2014-08-28T21:26:00

Gets very difficult very fast! I loved the idea. If this was easier, I think it could actually be used to help people learn internet safety. Great job.

Planetary Marriage Counseling by WeaselZone 2014-09-04T21:33:00

Haha this was great. Loved the voices. It's very difficult but I almost made it! I think some awkward music would really tie it all together. Good job!

Daydream Runaway by psychonull 2014-08-28T20:46:00

Fun game! Very difficult but I think losing one coin when you get hit (instead of starting over) helps soften the blow. I got some choppy movement but no other bugs. Good job.

Connessi by Cash 2014-08-29T20:53:00

As others have said, my biggest complaint was the controls. But, the game is pretty imaginative and I had fun playing it. Good job!

Cat planet by lorniebear 2014-09-12T03:01:00

I really enjoyed the art, music, and light-hearted mood. I wish the backgrounds were also hand-drawn, just so everything fit together. Great job! I hope to play your entry next time!

Untangle~! by Konrad Zegis 2014-09-05T21:40:00

The lack of smooth movement is pretty strange. Impressive you programmed this in C++. Good job!

I Think I Broke Something by Otrora Games 2014-09-09T20:21:00

This was cool! Loved the art style. Gameplay was fun, though I think an easier learning level would have been nice. Also, it never seemed to let me move diagonally which was strange. But I enjoyed it!

Colonized worlds by Gabe 2014-08-28T21:52:00

A simple idea but pretty fun. Some weird things happen if you build structures right on top of asteroids! Sometimes, asteroids spawn right on top of Earth too. Good job!

Hello Worlds by dustyroom 2014-09-12T03:45:00

Loved this game! The art and music was great. I actually did not have much problems with the compo controls. I did get some strange bugs when clicking on stars. The level would garble up towards the end, but always completed. Great game!

Gravity: Connected Worlds by Seraphic Media 2014-08-25T22:11:00

Wonderful music. It's impressive that you basically created two games here. I would say the difficulty in comet mode should increase faster and the click "radius" could be larger. I enjoyed it!

Sneaky Nessie by barryrowe 2014-09-12T02:42:00

Really cute! Loved the art. The stealth mechanic worked well too. Great job.

Around the Worlds in 80 seconds. by Vinyl Pixels 2014-09-04T22:18:00

Great idea. Good use of the theme. The different worlds help to change up the gameplay. I liked the graphics too.

Enaxius by Orange 2014-09-05T02:58:00

Solid gameplay and great graphics. What sound effects are there are good but more audio would have been nice. Good job!

HopSlide by managore 2014-08-26T20:37:00

Very cool! I loved the yellow room mechanic. Managed to find 4 of the letters - red room stumped me and I'm not sure where the sixth is. I'm sure I'll be back to try again!

Impact by fallingBear 2014-09-10T20:57:00

Wow I love this idea: bullet hell on a cylinder! Also loved the halftone shader. Not much connection to the theme though. Great job!

Enduring Atlas by dickpoelen 2014-09-04T21:27:00

Great mood here. The gameplay is not bad either. It took us a while to figure out how to play, but it's actually quite strategic. The web version is very slow but it worked fine on the desktop. Good job.

High Flyer[DEMO] by Mallot1 2014-09-11T21:56:00

Loved the music! Game is really hard but I was able to stay alive for a bit haha. Good job!

Symbiosis by vividhelix 2014-09-10T20:36:00

Cool idea and good level design. Could have used some audio, but I understand the time constraint. Good job!

R-elink: A link between worlds by RaycoSantana 2014-09-08T22:05:00

Loved the mechanic in this game! Only trouble I has was with destroying the stacked cubes: the phone seemed to clip through the cube in front of me, so it was hard to use sometimes. Loved the grassy feeling of the hidden world. Great job.

Space&Slaves by Alexander Shukalo 2014-08-27T17:23:00

I loved the graphics! I thought the spaceship piloting worked well and was pretty fun. Audio would have been nice, but I understand time constraints. I feel bad for the little aliens though, haha! Good job.

Close Your Eyes by nonetheless 2014-09-09T21:07:00

Really cool how you used this simple mechanic. I loved the art too. Great difficulty ramp. I just wish there was more audio. Great job!

Transforce by ZoneOne2 2014-09-09T20:42:00

Great idea! I think with some refinement, it could be the foundation for a great puzzle game. Currently, I think timing is emphasized too much over puzzle solving. But very innovative. Good job!

The Hoverator by Viza 2014-09-04T22:33:00

Cool game! Controls are floaty but the game owns it, so I didn't mind them. One strange thing: if you fire on a down-ramp, your bullets go into the floor. Almost got me killed. I enjoyed the music! Good job.

Sol by pikkpoiss 2014-09-04T01:59:00

One of my favorites so far. I loved the concept, graphics, and sound! I was able to get a planet to be stable, and reach 30k population; but a rather large asteroid eventually hit it haha. Great job!

This Little Piggy... by InfectionTeam 2014-09-10T20:11:00

Haha very unexpected! I liked how the beginning is so calm. Wonderful art and music. Really good job.

Connected Retro Worlds by yodamaster 2014-09-08T22:00:00

This is really cool. One of the better uses of the theme I've seen. I think difficulty could ramp up faster. It took me a while to understand the asteroid game. Greta job!

Human and Alien by BoskoSokolov 2014-09-10T20:23:00

Solid mechanics and interesting game design. It's nice when developers take to the time make in-game instructions too. Good job!

Nature Trial by Naytron 2014-08-28T21:40:00

Great game. I especially liked the art and mood. Moving was sometimes annoying since my fox would often move too far, sometimes pushing carts against the wall. But overall, I enjoyed it!

Inner Self by Cstudios 2014-08-25T21:59:00

A sad message, but very well communicated in the game. I liked the graphics too. Good job!

Once Inside by TautNerve 2014-09-05T22:39:00

Very touching game with phenomenal art. Great job.

Caught Between by rooter4 2014-09-09T20:35:00

Cool game! Loved the use of gravity switching, although it was a little buggy and too sudden. I wish there were some more sound effects. But overall I enjoyed this game. Great job!

The Beginning by Nuclear Napalm 2014-09-08T22:10:00

I liked the simple graphics. Yeah the game is hard, but I enjoyed it. Good job!

The Story of a Fabulous UniRaptor and Fifty Seven Aliens by pi_pi3 2014-08-29T21:06:00

Graphics are nice, and I liked the music. Control scheme worked well for me, but platforming was difficult since movement was so sensitive. Good job!

Escape the World by bogdanmaier49 2014-09-09T20:14:00

Difficult game, but a cool idea. I could never get very far, but I did enjoy the graphics. The sound effects were well done! Good job.

Spy On Me by Fahmi 2014-09-05T22:10:00

Loved the graphics and music - really set a nice mood. The flashing colors mechanic is very clever. By studying the map you can pinpoint where the target is pretty well, if they slip up. Good job!

Dr Blake Saves the Universe by sikosis 2014-09-12T02:31:00

Pretty basic platforming but controlled great. I liked the art and music, although some sprites had strange perspective. You created a good mood. Great job.

ScrollShift by diamondgfx 2014-08-27T16:42:00

I loved the graphics and music, but I felt like the sound effects didn't fit (but what can you do in 48 hours?). Controls well and fits the theme. Good job!

Filter Prism by spacedoubt 2014-09-12T03:36:00

It is very difficult. I think if you fell down slower, that would help a lot. Good idea though, and I liked the music. Good job.

NOODLE FEELING by Magdev 2014-09-09T20:48:00

Haha I played this for way too long. The audio reminds me of Mario Paint, which is great. Loved it!

Starpiercer by Schrodinger Games 2014-09-08T21:36:00

Cool music and art! Controls were very smooth and I loved watching the ship fly around. Could use some more balancing and I encountered some graphics glitches when transitioning between worlds, but overall, great game.

Fire & Ice by NnelGdaBandit 2014-09-05T03:02:00

Good use of the theme. Switching towers between worlds adds a different dimension to my usual TD strategy. Great job!

FLIP! by SetArray 2014-09-04T02:26:00

Great use of a simple mechanic. I liked the music. I would say the puzzles get formulaic after a while - if you expand on this, some obstacles with other mechanics would help. But, for 48 hours, great job!

Collision by Alphish 2014-09-12T02:47:00

Good game! I liked the various different music. Graphics are simple but well done. Quite a bit of content too. Great job.

Linked Planets by Crazy-Goat-Media 2014-09-09T21:11:00

Nice art and audio! Sometimes, on small planets, it would not let me draw two lines - maybe because the first was covering it? But fun little game. Good job!

Crossworld Club by Artamus 2014-08-28T21:34:00

Very funny game! I especially loved Link and the ending. The at is very good too. Great job.

Yggdrasil by stevens_studio 2014-09-08T22:26:00

A nice story experience - I think that's fine. Every game doesn't need action. I liked the music and art! I think a some of the art could use some polish, and the font was missing characters, but I did enjoy it. Great job!

Kate by LaFleur 2014-08-25T21:35:00

You created a great mood here. I love the art and the subtle glows. I unfortunately could not complete it because I was feeling claustrophobic, but I think people who like mazes will enjoy this.

Becky's Adventure in Mirrorland by vctr_seleucos 2014-09-04T22:15:00

A cute old-school platformer. Enjoyed the art. Tight controls as well. Good job!

Silent Sky by GeeItSomeLaldy 2014-08-29T20:59:00

Fun game! Reminds me of Oregon Trail in space. You put a lot of content into this! Could use more polish but overall, well done.

Waterfly Octus by gillenew 2014-09-08T21:16:00

Great art! Very difficult but in a good way. Controls were interesting - really felt like you're in the water. The music could use some work, but it's better than nothing! Good job.

Star Tycoons by MechanicMoon 2014-08-29T20:16:00

The audio and graphics are some of the best I've seen so far! Mechanics took me a while to understand (I just jumped into the game and came back to read the description). Very impressive game. Great job!

World Portals by Keevinw 2014-09-11T22:46:00

Simple platformer but fun. I liked the sound effects! There are some strange physics: sticking to ceilings, inconsistent double jumps, but controls were responsive. Good job!

ULTRA DEATHSTORM by Simplexcity 2014-09-04T02:20:00

This game is very impressive. Great polish and superb pixel art. One issue: the SFX clicks for me if a few of the tall guys die at once. I could see this as a base for a full game. Great job!

Relative to Scale by Peach Pie Productions 2014-09-10T20:45:00

This was pretty cool. Impressive you basically made many games in one. I liked the retro pixel art. It came together with the sound to make a cool mood. Good job!

Trapped in a Computer by elkiwydev 2014-09-09T20:29:00

Wow great mechanics. Simple but very challenging. I also liked the graphics. Thank you for spending the time to make in game instructions. Great job.

Galactic Empire by Stan Sypek 2014-09-04T02:31:00

This is great for your first game, never mind your first Ludum Dare. It's not buggy and runs smoothly. I liked the explosion animations. Good job! Hope to see you next LD.

Super Alien Bro by nerd burglars 2014-08-29T21:11:00

Cool simple platformer. I liked the variety of powerups, but some of them could last a bit longer. I saw some graphics glitches (seams in the tiles) but nothing major. Great music too. Good job!

Inbetween Lands of Grass by From Smiling 2014-08-29T20:22:00

Pretty confusing. I felt like I was beginning to understand but then something would work differently! Still, I had fun exploring the world! Beautiful graphics and great mood.

Cosmos Kings by Mr. 2014-08-26T21:46:00

Very impressive to learn Game Maker in that time frame! The art is really nice. I like the music too. At first I would just stand on the bridge and shoot the enemies, but then I realized I had a time limit so I was more adventurous. Sometimes it's hard to walk across the diagonal bridges. Overall, great job.

Fire & Ice by Rehacked 2014-09-04T02:05:00

A little hard to understand at first, but it's fun to play with a friend, so good job! Controls are smooth and did not find any bugs.

Cyber Goopy by TurboViking 2014-08-27T17:07:00

Great idea! I kept getting finger-tied trying to move the border - I think it might be better if you used A and D since that's more common (and move the fish with the arrows). Fun graphics. Overall, I enjoyed it!

Heart Earth by Team Sloth Fox 2014-09-04T02:10:00

Haha really charming. Nice to play games like this every once in a while. I really liked the graphics. The heart Earth and star backgrounds were very well done. Great job.

Galaxy Train by biscuitWizard 2014-09-08T21:21:00

Controls were very strange - not what I expected for a train! - but I think they kind of add to the charm in a way. Audio was great. Great job!

Fuel Runner by RobotFriend 2014-09-04T01:45:00

Cool idea. I liked the half-way point reveal! Some of the jumps were pretty hard, since momentum behaved a little strangely. Good job!

Let's be friends! (But some will die) by RFMTeam 2014-09-04T02:36:00

Very hard but so cute! I loved all the animations and quirky characters. I felt so bad when one of the poor aliens exploded but it's too funny not to flick a few over there sometimes. I wish they did not twirl around so much when you hold them, but I suppose that just adds to the charm. Great job.

Polar Dash by Cheesefork 2014-09-12T02:18:00

I loved the graphics and music. The gameplay is nothing new but it is well designed. For some reason, the game was very slow and stuttered even on the lowest setting. Firefox if that matters. Still, I enjoyed it. Good job!

mast by jmf 2014-08-27T16:37:00

Pretty fun. The controls were fine for me. At first I just stood around and shot the enemies until I realized I needed to collect the letters. I wish it had some more sound effects. Overall, good job!

Lethal Reflection by steve 2014-09-10T21:04:00

Great art and sound effects! I though there was some really smart design choices that led to great gameplay. Missed some fast-paced music and better connection to the theme. One of my favorites so far! Great job.

Alice Anxiety by jukimv1986 2014-09-10T20:31:00

Great art. I loved the designs for all the places, especially at night. The click box for the book in the shop was slightly off, but I did not encounter any other bugs. Good job!

Orange by JaJ 2014-09-08T21:54:00

I really enjoyed the message in this game. Played it in Firefox without any issues. Graphics and music were great! Good job!

Breach of Dimensions by ursagames 2014-08-27T16:51:00

I'm always impressed by 3D games. I braced myself when I saw the platforming level but it was actually pretty fun, despite the slight input lag. Combat was fun too, and I loved the death animations. Good job!

Pulley Planet by Patacorow 2014-09-04T21:16:00

This was something else. Great art and sound. I loved the transitions between planets - very polished. The game is really easy, but there's strategy if you're going for a high score. Good job!

Northlonde by Martins 2014-09-09T21:02:00

Nice sim game! It's a little slow paced, but easy to understand. I love the art and design! great job.

Intergalactic Delivery Services Corporation by sP0CkEr2 2014-09-04T21:54:00

I loved the launching mechanic, although I think speed should ramp up a little faster. The physics worked well. Simple but interesting game. Good job!

Glass Heart Empire by Steven Colling 2014-09-04T22:23:00

Great use of the theme. Solid mechanics although it's a little slow paced at the beginning. Loved the graphics. I have a soft spot for XNA games so it's good to see one, although downloading dependencies will turn many off. Great job!

Gargantuan by TheGreenTie 2014-09-05T21:00:00

This was cool! I especially liked the intense sound. Smooth responsive controls. I had s strange effect where the smoke from my jet pack always displayed behind the prism. Great job!

Bacon Installer by badlydrawnrod 2014-09-12T02:53:00

Cool game! I liked the graphics although the camera whiplash made me a little nauseous. It's really cute though. Good job!

99 LuftWaffels by quill18 2014-08-27T17:16:00

First off, I want to thank you fro streaming your Ludum Dare work - it always helps keep me motivated for mine! As for the game, I appreciated all the jokes and the graphics are charming. It gets a little overwhelming when you have a bunch of zeppelins to remember which routes you set up. Impressive for 48 hours!

DrOpLeTs by nicso 2014-09-05T22:28:00

Smooth animations and water effects. Simple platforming but works very well. It wasn't obvious to me that the first moving platform was damaging. Great job!

City of Marble by strong99 2014-08-29T20:47:00

Cool game. I liked the hacking mechanic. It was difficult to keep up with the green hackers and also read hints / deal with police. I especially liked the music, one of the better tracks I've heard in the compo. Good job!

Simple Realms by mramaizng 2014-08-26T21:05:00

Good game! Solid mechanics. Sometimes the game would not let me go through doors unless I ran into them a few times. I'd also say the music was too quiet. The art really cracks me up for some reason. Love the bears and the Bomberman-like main character. Good job.

More Than a Glitch by Pavel M. Dlouhý 2014-09-11T21:28:00

I liked the backgrounds, although sometimes the characters blend in. Level design is not bad, but doesn't utilize character switching much. Enjoyed the game though - good job!

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Puddle maker by mrhill 2014-12-14T23:20:00

Cute game! I loved the art and gameplay. Sometimes snowmen would jump out at me right after melting the snow - not sure why! At first I wasn't sure how this fit the theme until I read some comments, but wrapping the game world around the screen is brilliant. Good job!

Mailman by WojWorks 2014-12-14T22:33:00

Moving the screen was a cool gimmick, and I always appreciate good use of the Wilhelm Scream! Good job.

SnowCard by mrexcessive 2014-12-10T23:13:00

Good game - gets me into the winter spirit! Interesting take on the classic Memory game. I liked the piano, but wish the eggs outside were more winter themed.

Screen of Infinite Detail by Snicklodocus 2014-12-10T20:23:00

Thanks for the comments so far! I went experimental with the art; sorry it hurt your eyes!

@mrexcessive: You get score for keeping the stars in view, so you want to guide the camera in such a way to keep them from going off screen. Having two with you at the end is good! I really wanted to make a better tutorial, but ran out of time!

Isiphudi by hbocao 2014-12-14T22:36:00

Cool game! I liked the are and the way items appeared on the map to purchase. I feel like some weapons need to be rebalanced. Good job.

Save Me, Dad! by CAT_IN_THE_DARK_WOOD 2014-12-10T22:47:00

Great graphics and sound! I like the contrast in style between the TV and real worlds. It was a little hard to get a handle on movement, but good entry!

Spiral Wings by Joe Williamson 2014-12-09T22:54:00

The music and art are spectacular. The game is also very polished! Gameplay is very shallow but I loved watching the dragon fly around. I felt the intro was a bit too long for such a short game. Great job though! It's so impressive you were able to make all the art in 48 hours.

Super Arena Hell! by randomdragoon 2014-12-14T22:43:00

Game gets hectic very fast! I liked it though I wish use of the theme was more creative. Good job!

Law Breaker by deepnight 2014-12-09T23:01:00

Really nice! I loved the art! Controls were tight and mission scaling was well done. I loved just watching the AI cars drive around! Greta job.

birdsong by managore 2014-12-09T22:25:00

Really great entry. I love the screen effect. You see places you can't get to yet and wonder "What's there?" A great feeling to have in a Metroidvania!

The game frustrates at times. I think the combination of the fish-eye distorting distances, limited checkpoints, and extremely sensitive movement made it feel that way. I thought I needed to build all the nests to beat the game, but I wish I saved more sticks for that bottom-right wall-jumping area!

Still, I'm determined to beat it eventually!

Harvestier by killthealias 2014-12-29T22:25:00

Great game! Simple but fun. I loved the music but the volume is a bit too high. Eris mode was the best, because avoiding red orbs adds some challenge. I think the game time could be lower for a faster feel. Good job!

Labyrinthian by BlackBulletIV 2014-12-14T22:40:00

The mood and audio is very well done. I liked the screen change gimmick though it took me a while to figure it out. Nice game!

Endless Worker by sweenist 2014-12-29T22:29:00

As others said, the game is bare bones but the idea is great. Congrats on your first LD!

GTAlien by Pulsartronic 2014-12-14T23:08:00

Love the art, especially the title and results screens. I think the game would handle better with simple WASD movement and using the mouse to attack. The loading time was very long - I think a downloadable version might have suited this better. Besides those nitpicks, I had fun with this. Great job!

GraviFlip by oh_andrej 2014-12-09T23:09:00

Fun, creative little game. I enjoyed the Gameboy-esque graphics! The mushroom enemies were very tough though!

The Lonely Realm of Tom Thaum, the Space Wizard by JJEvil 2014-12-10T23:53:00

I liked this one! The art is really charming and the sounds are nice. The interface could use some polish and it took me many tries to actually understand. Overall though, great job.

Also, I couldn't get the web version to work in my browser, Firefox, but the Windows version worked fine.

ROCKROCKET by Backterria 2014-12-09T19:58:00

Very nice! Smooth controls and great art and music. I loved the exploration aspects, especially the hidden passages. At first I had trouble finding the controllable character (didn't notice it until I accidentally fell into water) and some holes were very hard to get out of. Overall, I enjoyed it!

STS (Simple TopDown Shooter) by TheScragglyMan 2014-12-10T23:26:00

Nice game! Simple and easy to play. Phasing added some strategy. I don't see any reason to ever deactivate autofire, so maybe it should be on by default. Good job!

Dark Vaimanika by d3garcia 2014-12-14T22:55:00

I didn't like having to install, but the game was fun! Very hard, but not frustrating. I found that just ignoring the enemies was easier than trying to shoot them. Overall, good job!

Dual Assault by maxmetallica 2014-12-29T22:46:00

Controls were hard to get a hang of but the concept is fast-paced and fun. Love the inclusion of local co-op. Good job!

Thieves' Honor by Mach60KAS 2014-12-14T22:59:00

I'm always impressed with multiplayer games in LD, even if you had a bunch of post-release bug fixes. It took a very long time to load for me. Game itself is fun but very chaotic. Overall, great job!

Hunt The Yeti by Elisée and friends 2014-12-11T00:16:00

Great game! Absolutely love the art. The mechanics are a nice twist on this type of game and having a random map keeps things fresh. My biggest complaint is that digging controls are sometimes unreliable. The game also took a long time to load - I thought something was wrong since there wasn't a loading bar. But overall, really loved it.

Escape from the Credits by badlydrawnrod 2014-12-14T22:44:00

Great use of the theme. Controls were smooth and easy to use. Good job!

Rainbow Maze by FrozenCow 2014-12-14T23:12:00

Great use of the theme. I thought the controls were very good, but a bit overwhelming at first. I wish the magnifier was needed more though - some areas with secret tiny passages would have been cool. Good job!

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Emitter by Humanoid 2015-04-30T03:35:00

Pretty cool concept. Simple graphics but they work well. I know it's petty, but it annoyed me to have to click the retry button on a keyboard only game, haha. I thought the puzzles were well designed. Good job!

Underground Hangovers by Deconstructeam 2015-04-28T03:46:00

There's a huge amount of content here, and it's well polished. I'm really impressed! Love the art and music. Great job! Will definitely be coming back to this game.

Temple Pop by Todd Luke 2015-05-02T03:34:00

This is really interesting. It's pretty funny, and I enjoyed playing it. I don't really think it needs choices or some other "gamey" convention, just a better conclusion. I wanted to see my curses have some effect! Great art and I loved the boot sequence. Good job!

Shield Maiden by bitslap 2015-05-03T04:39:00

Great pixel art! Cool idea to use a shield as a weapon. The game is very polished, though I thought taking you right to the title on death was a bit abrupt. I'd love to see more.

Mable: The Journey by tripleVisionGames 2015-04-25T02:53:00

One of my favorites so far! Wonderful art and sound. The gameplay is quick and polished. When I first started, I expected the "fire" button to actually fire a bullet or something, so I was a little confused. I quickly figured it out and had a blast though!

Great job!

The Qi Disciple by Jerre 2015-04-30T03:41:00

Cool game! I liked the music a lot. The different control schemes for walking and controlling Qi helped mix up gameplay. Good job!

Gorilla Warfare by Bemmu 2015-05-01T03:48:00

Cool art and sound! I liked the crt effect. Prices were a little steep. I loved how ridiculous the story was! Good job!

Daygore Bunko by SonnyBone 2015-05-02T02:59:00

Great art and music. Really created a good mood. For me, the controls were a bit strange, but I did get used to them. It's a bit petty, but I wished I could skip the cutscenes after a while, though they are beautiful! Good job.

Yoyokidz by Noxlof 2015-05-04T03:57:00

Great game! Loved the art. Little touches like switching characters are wonderful. Quite a lot of upgrades and enemy variety too. Good job!

DAGDROM by Ditto 2015-04-28T03:54:00

This is really cool. The graphics are great. I liked the writing too. Maybe it's just me, but I didn't realize I could right-click for a while, but I did eventually figure it out. Good job!

Wok by savethejets1 2015-05-06T04:33:00

Cool game! I really liked the audio. For me, the character sprites were very blurry. Combat worked well. Good job!

Adventure Lamp by ryguydavis 2015-04-25T02:30:00

Great game! Simple mechanics but you do a lot with it. Love the art and sound, but missed music. Controls were generally great, except it was difficult to throw the hat while jumping. Great job, though.

Lucid by rxi 2015-04-28T04:01:00

The art and especially music here are very nice. Great physics too. It requires a lot of precision to hit the birds sometimes, which got frustrating. I thought there was a weak connection to the theme as well. But, I'm really impressed with the game! Great job.

Alien Crab in the Ghostmaze by Xaychru 2015-05-02T02:52:00

This was really great! One of my favorites so far. Very polished for a jam game. The art is wonderful. My only complaint is the extreme walking speed made it frustrating to precisely roll rocks around at times. Good job!

Spacecat Meowpatrol by _Rilem 2015-05-05T04:44:00

Really cute cats! The art is really nice. The fact that you went through the work for the space visuals adds a lot. I also liked how you tied in the theme. I did encounter a bug, where I was able to pick up two items graphically and the game seemed to only register one. It fixed itself once the item broke, though. Good job!

One of them by Pierrec 2015-05-05T04:56:00

Wow, powerful message! I won't lie - it did make me a little emotional. I loved watching the girls grow up. I think even without the deeper purpose, the game is fun in that respect. The art is very nice too. Great job.

Hide 'n Squeak by TijmenTio 2015-05-02T03:28:00

Wow! Very polished! The art is really phenomenal. The only thing that annoyed me was pressing Z to use legos would sometimes try to open a closet instead, if I was standing close to one. This resulted in poor Mouse's demise at least once... Great job!

Saber Disk by Neonlare 2015-05-04T03:45:00

Loved the art and sound! Absolutely rad, man! A bit difficult to see what's going on at times. I think some enemies move to quickly to avoid or are too large and opaque. Collisions also confused me a bit. But really, I just enjoyed the spectacle. Great job!

Sun Wukong by Mr. Jif 2015-04-28T04:06:00

Wow this game is huge! Had a lot of fun exploring. I felt the controls may be too sensitive, but still, great job!

Crump Rush by OnlySlightly 2015-04-29T02:45:00

Really nice! I liked the music and art, and the physics were smooth. For some reason, I felt a little claustrophobic with the scale of the art - wished I could zoom out more - but that might have been by design! I'd love to see this expanded on. Good job!

Weathermage by Exeneva 2015-05-06T04:24:00

I love the idea! This game seems extremely ambitious. I did have fun exploring and using spells, and the game has great mood, but I never really found anything to do. I'd be interested in playing a more polished version for sure.

Wink Murder by 2kah 2015-04-27T01:34:00

Really funny idea! It's a bit strange you can't blink with your right eye, but it doesn't make much difference. Great job!

The Great Debate by MiniBobbo 2015-04-21T21:24:00

Great game! Funny! I loved the gameplay and the presentation. Art was wonderful, and I liked how you can change your character - nice touch. I feel sound effects would have really added a lot, and 10 rounds was too much. It was also annoying when I figured out the rule but received no good words for it. Overall though, great job!

RandomSpell by animanegra 2015-04-22T20:58:00

I like the gameplay here, and the art was simple but enjoyable too. I too had input issues, and the menu was difficult to use. The game is also very hard, damn the 5-ton spell! But overall, good job!

Specter Snap by Snicklodocus 2015-04-21T02:23:00

Oh, really sorry about that bug! I've never encountered that. If you don't mind me asking, were you playing the web or Windows version, and what was the error message?

Anyway, thanks for commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed it regardless.

Specter Snap by Snicklodocus 2015-04-28T02:54:00

Thanks everyone for the comments! I'm glad you like the game.

When you run out of film, the game should end once you collect all the photos. There's no way to get more film - just try to get the most points with what you have.

You Are The Sun by Crefossus 2015-04-22T21:20:00

Great idea, I'd love to see it expanded on. Good job!

Dream Extension Finger by NAL 2015-04-30T03:09:00

This was fun! I loved the art and music. I think the difficulty curve was a little slow to build. I thought the scrambled text at the beginning was a nice touch. Good job!

Velo-City by TeamEagle 2015-04-27T01:25:00

Great atmosphere and sense of speed. I loved how the obstacles react to the music. Sometimes it was difficult to see walls against the sky, but maybe that's intentional. Also, it seems this game does not tackle the theme at all. Regardless, it's very fun. Good job!

Can i fly? by komjaur 2015-04-24T01:09:00

Cool game! I liked playing around with grappling. The art was very nice too. Good job!

Crayon Poke by Raiyumi 2015-04-29T02:57:00

Amazing art and music. Everything fits well and is very polished and smooth. It really feels complete. I also liked the slower-paced feel of this. I was stuck forever on the switches before the first skull, but finally passed it. Very good job!

Wizard's Bellow by Eigen 2015-04-30T03:04:00

Loved the gameplay here! You have to be pretty strategic or run out of spells to use. Good job!

Allium: Rise of the Leek Knight by srakowski 2015-04-24T01:34:00

I loved the story and ridiculousness of it! The gameplay is very repetitive but it's fun to see the demons' bodies pile up on the ground. I liked the music too, but I wish it looped better. I enjoyed it though!

Fathom by Joe Williamson 2015-05-04T03:39:00

Cool mechanic! Really polished game. It was sometimes difficult to redirect bullets, mostly due to it all sharing the left mouse button. I was impressed by the level design and content though! Great job.

Nuclear Autumn by phi6 2015-04-26T04:11:00

The camera work is really great here. That and the music create a great mood. The platforming works well too. I'm impressed you were able to make such a large level! Good job!

Badass Inc by deepnight 2015-04-21T02:02:00

Wow, I enjoyed this a lot. Funny, great art, good music. Some of the puzzles are a bit obscure - reminds me of old-school adventure games for better or worse. Great use of the theme. the game revolved around it, and I loved the twist at the end. Great job!

CatAclysm by MaesK 2015-05-06T04:11:00

I really like this concept! Makes for some fun puzzles, and who doesn't like kitties? I thought the game took too long to get to give a challenge. I loved how the cats move around, making things more unpredictable. Good job!

HALLAWAY by benmcnelly 2015-04-25T02:21:00

I'll repeat what people are saying about the lack of checkpoints. Still, I really enjoyed the mood and overall concept. It's cool that it's Oculus enabled as well. Good job!

Super Splash Fistiguffs by Team-KwaKwa 2015-04-22T21:16:00

I love the art and music here. I'm alone right now, but I plugged in two controllers just to play around with it. I think it will be fun to try out with friends later! Controls are a bit sensitive, and I encountered a weird bug where my owl's head shrunk after hitting a wall, haha. Great job, though!

Burrito Socorrista‏ by Gipzo 2015-04-21T21:58:00

This was pretty fun! Good art and controlled well. I think the waves were a little long, and I experienced some frame-rate drops. At first I was getting bored but more flavors really helped with that. Great job!

What They Want to Hear by nknauth 2015-04-21T01:44:00

At first I didn't see the enemy description at the top so I was quite confused! But, I enjoyed the game after seeing that. The music was great and I thought the pace was perfect. Good job!

The Cheeseburgermogrifier by gaarlicbread 2015-04-22T21:05:00

This was fun to play. It's always fun to have audio in this style for ludum dare games! The character art is also pretty charming. I do wish I could fire in a different direction than walking. Good job!

Super Recoil Gun by cleitoneldorn 2015-04-28T03:40:00

Wow cool game! I love the mechanics. Probably my favorite interpretation of the theme so far. Music seems a little strange for this game but I liked the sound of it. Great job!

Purging Cuddle Kingdoms by Crumpet 2015-05-03T04:46:00

Wow, this is really good! One of my favorites so far. I loved the mechanic - simple but there's a lot you can do with it. The art is good too, though I felt background was a little busy. Regardless, great job!

A Knife Made Of Whispers by managore 2015-04-21T01:37:00

Very good game. Excellent level design, art and sound! Your graphic design always inspires me.

I enjoyed figuring out how things worked. Keyboard controls are difficult to use, and button prompts might have been nice, but I wonder if they would take away from the discovery.

Only other critique is I feel use of theme was a little weak. Overall though, another wonderful entry!

Slam Jam Bakery by DragonXVI 2015-04-29T03:08:00

This was cool! The visual effects were well done and the sounds fit well. I was impressed with the foam's physics too, though it took me a while to understand using it to jump. Good job!

Bees Bears Buzz by CowShark 2015-04-21T02:08:00

Cute graphics and I liked the music! Fun little tower defense-esque game. One complaint: it took me a while to figure out what the "fire" button is at the beginning. Good job!

Robowar by resty 2015-04-26T04:02:00

I liked the reflection mechanic. The way the mirror moves is really interesting but still intuitive. I liked the music as well. Great job.

I dont want to hear it by ekun 2015-05-03T04:58:00

Love the simplistic art and great music. The gameplay is not that innovative, but the way the rhythm is presented is. I liked using demons instead of circles traveling along straight lines. Good job!

Frazzle Dazzle by hexdie 2015-04-29T02:50:00

Ah cool idea! I think this is one of my favorite uses of the theme. Great art and music, and well polished. Good job!

Flail Rider by jushii 2015-04-25T02:35:00

One of my favorites so far! Great controls and I really loved the art. Great job!

Dreamscape by Peach Pie Productions 2015-05-05T04:38:00

Loved the colorful art style! The way rooms lit up as you fought in them was neat. Sometimes it was hard to see the enemies through all the effects though. Good job!

Does It Shoot? by Four Quarters 2015-05-04T03:53:00

One of my favorites so far! Great use of the theme. It's fun to try new combos and figure out what each piece does. Art is great too. Good job!

Warpstrike by TheAsuro 2015-04-21T02:14:00

Interesting mechanic, definitely something I'd like to see expanded on. Great job!

Catholic Apologetics Simulator by Kalman90Grape 2015-05-03T04:34:00

Very interesting game! I don't think I've seen anyone else use this idea for the theme. I kind of liked typing things in, made the experience more tactile. Good job!

Hoop Fighter by Aumni 2015-05-04T03:49:00

Great interpretation of the theme! It's fun to try and keep the rhythm and move around. I got a friend to play with, but even single player I enjoyed playing with it. Good job!

BOOMerang! by BroCade 2015-05-02T03:09:00

Oh great use of the theme! Art is nice too. I liked the sounds a lot, but I wish there was music. Only other complaint is it's difficult to run with the E key while using WASD. Fun though! I'll have to try this with a friend!

Emotional Golf by CamRFWhite 2015-04-21T21:50:00

Fun idea! I liked the bomb animations. I think the mechanic might have been easier to use if you could drop bombs anywhere, but maybe that wouldn't fit the theme of the game as much. Good job!

The Hand That Feeds by Skinny Jean Death 2015-04-27T01:13:00

Cool idea! It took a while to understand, and the camera moves pretty strangely. I liked the art a lot! Good job.

Crystalline by TheMeorch 2015-04-29T03:02:00

I have to say, excellent level design. I also really liked the music, and the little effects such as stars moving backwards in rifts. Great job!

NOPAEW by Anikki 2015-04-25T02:47:00

I really like the art and mood in this game. Not mush sound, but what's there is well done. Controls well. I feel it's a bit hard, and ammo was not that useful. I liked the open ended level design. I got a lot of index out of range errors when I first loaded, but the game ran fine. Good job!

Myland by Kardamom 2015-05-06T04:30:00

Good strategy game! Simple but effective. It seemed pretty well balanced as well, and was not extremely difficult to get into. Good job!

Concrete Escape by Davikin92 2015-04-26T03:55:00

It was very hard for me to play with these controls, I think allowing WASD as well as arrows would have solved it. The game was fun though! Funny and has a lot of charm. Good job!

Megane Fever by Park 2015-05-01T03:08:00

The art is beautiful and really sets a great mood! The game is also pretty funny. I loved flipping tables. The blur effect was a nice touch. I'm not sure if this game is losable? Also never really found a reason to jump. Regardless, it's fun! Good job!

The Rock the Paper and the Scissors by BIZM 2015-05-05T04:33:00

Incredible game! I loved the whole thing. Only problem I had was figuring out that Rocky's right hand was also supposed to be matched. I loved the rhythm aspect mixed with figuring out the patterns. Fantastic!

The Very Literal Fall Of Atlantis by Sergi Montaner 2015-04-27T01:29:00

Fun game! I thought the serious music against the cute art was very funny. Sometimes there seemed to be nothing to jump to, but other than that, I had no problems. Good job!

BLODAU by BlindSkyStudios 2015-04-22T20:50:00

Wonderful art and sound, I love this style. The gameplay is a little simple, but it's fun to launch seeds. I was able to jump out of the play area by touching the walls, but luckily it transported me back to the start. Good job!

Dario DDS by bentglasstube 2015-04-30T03:00:00

Cool take on Dr. Mario! Fun art and good music. Connection to the theme could have been better, but it's a good game regardless! Great job!

Wok Quest! by ogrepixel 2015-05-05T05:01:00

Fun game! I like the concept a lot. Trying to keep the wok hot while avoiding pigs was fun, although easy. I did encounter some display and collider issues. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the game. Good job!

SleepOver by Dege 2015-04-27T01:17:00

I really loved the art! The animations were very well done. Nice music too. Great job!

Explosive Chickens! by zeejfps 2015-05-01T02:58:00

Funny game! I thought the chickens were pretty well balanced. Controls worked well, but it does take practice to get the hang of it. Good job!

Dick Cannon: Police Investigator by ApocoNypse 2015-04-21T21:33:00

Wow, guess I should not have expected anything else from the title, haha. My inner five-year-old loved it. Art and presentation was great! I also had trouble with doors, but everything else was smooth. Gameplay is pretty hard and standard, but that's not necessarily bad. Great job for your first jam!

Indifference by Pibeex 2015-05-01T03:55:00

This was really cool. Loved the style and music. It was difficult, I think enemy hitboxes are a bit too large. If you did this in three hours, I can't wait to see what you can do with more time!

SolSurvivor by Blobo 2015-04-24T01:25:00

I love the concept here and the menus are really fun. Good music. I thought the difficulty was fine but I'm used to harder arcade games. I did get a null-reference exception on game over, but I just closed the dev log and the game worked fine. Good job!

Soul Breaker by DeadFragment 2015-04-26T04:22:00

Great game! I think my favorite thing was the writing! Art was beautiful and I though you used lighting very well, not only to create mood but also puzzles. One criticism is your character was so floaty it was hard to control at times. Really enjoyed this one!

Ghost Con: The Reckoning by TEAM-TIGER 2015-04-24T01:21:00

Fun game! Weapon 1 seemed the best to use, but maybe I didn't understand the others. Art is really great and audio is nice too. Good job!

Bubbles & Slugs by Chaoslab 2015-04-24T01:16:00

No bugs here! Great music. I never really understood the game but had enough fun watching the slugs move around and popping bubbles. Good job!

Food Fighter 2000 by sP0CkEr2 2015-05-06T04:16:00

Good game you made! I liked the art! It's pretty buggy though as others have said. The sound effects added a lot, good job there!

ScarKrow by Carduus 2015-04-26T04:15:00

Great animations! I liked the grappling mechanic too, though sometimes I wanted the crow to just move on instead of attacking. Audio is great too. Good job!

Kitten by GFM 2015-05-01T03:13:00

Quite a lot of content here! I liked the art style and music. The camera sometimes made it hard to navigate levels since I couldn't see the other side of jumps, at times. Also, the death sound is very rough, haha. Overall though, good game!

Llamaism by Diventurer 2015-04-21T21:42:00

I loved the simple see-through art style. The game itself was strange and difficult to figure out but still very fun to explore. Good job!
