I enjoyed this quite a bit. Very cool idea - it was fun to see what the game said. I think you could emphasize the memory aspect a bit more - maybe the number of turns influences whether the story has a good or bad ending? I only had two complaints: the connection to the theme is pretty weak and sometimes the game did not recognize my clicks. Overall, great game.
Fun little game! I appreciate having an in-game how to play screen. A few times I thought I was done for, but was able to squeeze into a crack. Well done!
Very impressive to make an actual NES game. Worked fine in my emulator. It is very glitchy but but charming. Only issue was at first I didn't understand that I could mine gold anywhere (was expecting ore to pop up or something!) Good job!
Pretty fun! At first the game was very easy, but started to get challenging by level 5 or so! In the heat of the moment I would forget the number each color needed, so I feel some display on the cubes themselves would be nice. The mix up on failing to match orange cubes actually saved me once, so that punishment should be rethought! All in all, very fun!
Completly surreal haha. Loved the aunt graphics. I could never find a bad auntie. Feels unfinished but I'm glad you just ran with it.
Fun game. I had the same problems as CayoDaves but overall enjoyed it. It was cool that you could push the red blood cells to safety as an alternative to shooting bacteria.
Very cute! I liked the music and art. Very polished as well. The hearts felt a little meaningless, or is that a joke at cats having nine lives? Regardless, some kind of loss condition or score would be nice. I wish I could watch the cat instead of having to keep my eyes glued to the keys, haha!
Thank you for the comments everyone.
@Almost: Ah I see how you did that. If I expand on this it will be interesting to think about how to fix that. Maybe spread fish and powerups farther apart.
@VDOgamez: Beneath the surface made me think of volcanoes and then melting rock. Somehow, when I was trying to think how that could be fun, I came up with this lava fish thing, haha!
Thanks for the comments everyone!
@mrexcessive: That's strange. Thank you for letting me know. I can't reproduce these errors. Anyone else experiencing them?
I would say to make sure num-lock is on but you said both sets of number keys were not working. Could some outside program be blocking or redirecting your input? As for Q, maybe fish #1 was dead?
Thanks again for all the ratings!
WhiteWolf93, thanks for the kind words! I do plan to enter again in August. Hope to see you then as well!
This a pretty cool game. I like the double views (top down and perspective). I found myself switching between them to locate prey and figure out which way was left and right. Good job.
Very nice graphics and smooth controls. Good balance between risk and reward of diving deep. I enjoyed it!
Yeah my character got stuck on walls. Also, many times bats would trap me since you can only throw horizontally. I still enjoyed the game though. Good, simple graphics and mood!
Extremely ambitious game. It's rough but once I figured out the controls, I had a good time. The ants are very picky about digging and I never understood the mating mechanics. This game could be a lot of fun, I hope you continue working on it!
Enjoyed this one. It's nice you can play it by yourself or two-player. The input works well. Only confusion for me was I wasn't sure which turret I was controlling at first, and accidentally killed my partner haha. Good job!
Not a bad Breakout game. The background was pretty cool although the paddle was too closely colored and blended in. I wish there was something outside the board as well. Weak connection to the theme but I did enjoy the music!
Fun little game! I especially liked the HUD graphics. Didn't realize the blobs were evil at first - they look too cute!
I really liked the sound in this game. Art was not bad but inconsistent. The darkness mechanic worked well, but was a little monotonous. It would have been nice for some things to break up the rhythm, like faster moving objects or bonuses that light up for a second and disappear. Overall, good job!
Fun game! The puzzles were pretty well designed and the mechanics, although few, were well used. I would say the difficulty ramped up slowly for me, but I love the types of games. I thought your music was fine! My only complaints were mirror rotation and not being able to remove a placed item. Overall I enjoyed it though!
Fun game! The AI was fun to watch in itself. I also liked the art. Good job!
I played the compo version. Great art and sound! Nice use of shaders and other effects. Gameplay was fun except jumping was inconsistent and I would often stick to walls. The frame rate also slowed pretty badly during the boss fight. Think I'll go back and see your improvements in the web version. Good job!
The game ran fine for me! It was pretty relaxing just swimming around collecting stuff. Good job.
I hate ticks so this was satisfying! I liked the strategy of leaving them for a while so you can get more points later. I was a little confused at what was happening during level transitions (thought I had lost). Overall, good job.
First off, something about the ant sprite makes me really like it. Besides that, good foundation but needs work. The camera makes the game very hard to play and my head kept getting stuck in platforms. Good first entry though.
Playing around with the mechanics is fun. I could see this expanded!
Nice game! I enjoyed the art! I also liked the two-level design, but the platform generator does need some work. Many times I would start the game below the ice platforms or directly over a large hole. I also thought the platforms were too hard to see.
I love the art style and the arcade theme. I feel that the game might be better controlled by the mouse, but maybe that was by design? (Just read your comment. Fair enough!) I found myself playing this longer than expected. Great reimagining of a classic!
This was pretty funny and a good time! The art was very nice and I loved little touches like the fish swimming around you. I felt like reaching the bottom of the sea was a little too hard and took the focus away from seducing the fishermen. A small bug: you can swim beyond the edge of the screen at the water's surface. Overall though, very well done!
This was pretty cool, although as a programmer I am biased. The puzzles were simple but well designed and paced. Only complaint is I wish the commands were shorter to type. Good job!
One of the more innovative games I've seen so far. The controls are very complex but I was able to get the hang of them. Very nice!
I'm impressed you were able to make such a large area. The atmosphere and writing really stand out. I did have trouble with the chase as well. Besides that, maybe there was too much empty space, but all in all I enjoyed the game!
Good first entry! I found a small bug that the game would not send down the final sinner if two people were in the cage. My only other complaint was the sound was a bit loud.
A nice little exploration game. The jetpack was a good idea - I often dug too far down. Good job!
I like it! Sharing a controller heightens the chaos. Even by yourself watching the cats move around is fun. I especially liked the graphics style.
Fun! Fast paced and well balanced. The coins were nice to add some strategy and risk.
This is really cool. I love all the little funny touches on the world map. Great idea and execution. My only complaint is scrolling with the mouse wheel is inverted from what I'm used to, but that's minor.
Nice filters. The gameplay idea is great - I would love to see it expanded upon. Great job.
I liked the two-health system - could add some interesting strategy. It took me a while to figure out the controls but they're straightforward once you do. Good job!
Loved the voxel-style graphics. The backgrounds are slightly too busy - things tended to blend in. I think stronger shadows might help with this. Good, simple gameplay. I enjoyed it.
Pretty cool little game. I had some trouble with collisions: it felt like the turtle's collider was too big and I got stuck on walls. At first I wondered how this fit the theme but it has a fun twist. Good work!
Very nice! Great, simple art and sounds. My only complaint would be the "floaty" controls make precision jumps difficult. Luckily, I only had trouble with that on the last level. Enjoyed it!
I like the idea of this game. The third dimension is very difficult. Controls were pretty smooth for me. Good job!
I loved how you managed to make block-pushing puzzles feel new with a simple mechanic. Difficulty seemed to spike after a few puzzles, but overall I liked the level design. Great job!
Great art and sound! The waves and music really set the mood. Gameplay is not super interesting but it's fun to sail around. Good job.
Fun game! As you say, I think this is a good base for something more. Relaxing but still challenging. I did try to get the best score before moving onwards. The stars changing position each reset was a little annoying, and some placements were hard to see. Overall, I enjoyed it!
Nice game! I love how bullets are affected by gravity. Boosting was fun as well. Once, an alien strayed so far from the play area I died trying to catch it. But, had fun with this one. Good job.
Great base, but needs more content. Still, I had fun with it. Good controls and I loved the art. Good job!
Good job! I played the web version on Firefox - seemed to work OK. The character graphics were very nice and I liked the music. My biggest complaint is that input is unresponsive - the player keeps walking for a bit when I quit holding forward and does not jump immediately. But, overall, I had fun.
Fun game! At first I was confused because I did not realize planets would move towards your mouse cursor when beamed. Afterwards, it was fun bumping the planets into place. I feel like some indicator of how much tractor beam strength you have would be nice, and planets locking into each other after the dotted line disappeared was unexpected. I think the game is fine without music. Impressive number of levels as well. Overall, I enjoyed it.
This was very cool. I loved the mixture of Twine and Unity - that worked really well. The story was well written and the art was great, but I wish there was audio to really set the mood. Good job!
I liked the comics! Platforming was difficult since it was difficult to control the Jack. I liked the music but it seemed to stop after being on a level for a while. But, great job!
First off, I love your team logo! The graphics are really the stand-out here. There's some strategy in choosing where to kill the fish so it's easier to grab the souls later. Enjoyed this one!
I loved the graphics style! Game itself is fun but I didn't understand how the dotted lines formed. Enjoyed it though. Good job!
This is really fun! Simple and easy to play but requires strategy. I played it on Firefox with no issue. I miss sound effects, but I enjoyed the minimalist graphics. Good job.
Really cool. Great controls and graphics. I liked the music too. It's just really fun to fly around! Good job.
I really like this game. Great use of the theme. I think some might think the audio is grating; I thought it was really charming. Collision and controls could use some work, but I really like how each successive astronaut has to traverse a slightly more difficult version of the puzzle. Great job.
I thought using real photos was a cool idea and good use of the theme. Gameplay was simple but worked pretty well. I wish the level layouts were a bit more varied though. Good job!
Fun game! I did not understand what to do at first, but the controls are really nicely done once you get the hang of it. Good difficulty. I enjoyed it!
This was really great. I loved the graphics style, and the audio really complements it. I've played another game with the same mechanic this LD, but I think this is better balanced and polished. Good job!
Pretty cool. Liked the music and art, though I think the player character has alight mismatched style. It's difficult, fast-paced fun. Good job!
Really nice use of shaders and the audio was spot on. Very difficult. It's hard to grasp how the small ball's physics work. But, overall great job.
Great audio! I had some weird collision issues and finding the sword was not communicated well. The game creates a good mood though. Great job!
This is a great idea! I played the compo version and was going to complain about the camera and shaky jumping but it seems you fixed that! I don't think you need to add any goals or unlocks really - this could just be virtual Legos. Seeing others' worlds is pretty impressive. Good job!
Thanks everyone for playing, rating and commenting!
You will get a game over if you allow too many negative thoughts to stay alive. They also affect your move direction, so that can be a problem!
In the post-compo version I'll be sure to include a better tutorial and add some harder enemies in the late game.
Thanks everyone for the comments and ratings. I had a lot of fun; can't wait for December!
A very cool idea, but needs a better tutorial and controls. I loved the mechanic enough to keep playing though! Good job.
Really great. I loved the alien portraits and humor. At first it's hard to figure out what to give aliens, but it makes more sense as you play. Enjoyed it!
Cool idea that is strangely fun. I missed audio but the graphics were nice. Good job!
Great art style and cool mechanics. The camera was very unique and set a good mood. On level 2, the characters kept sticking to walls which I thought was a bug, but looking back I had just shortened the thread by accident, before I knew that was possible! Overall, I enjoyed it!
Cool game! There's a lot of clicking involved (it would be cool if you could automatically send ships). I liked the music and the settings menu was nice. Good job!
Cool idea and good use of the theme, but the execution could use some work. How you build things doesn't seem to have any effect later on, there's a lot of waiting, and the heal link button effectively does nothing. The audio is great though. I hope you can expand on this!
I'm not sure I understand the mechanics but still had a good time with this. It's fun to build bridges and then watch your civ expand on it's own. Good job!
A fun little toy. I like how the big creatures turn to your side if you touch them. They tended to get stuck a lot though. Good job!
I love the bunny sprites! Great music. I think difficulty ramps up too slowly, and jumping feels too floaty, but it's fun to play. Good job!
Loved the graphics and music, especially the story panels. Controls were strange. I found it easier to use boost to steer instead of WASD. Fun game!
Great art and mood! Controls were a little annoying for me (used to jumping with space). It was also a bit difficult to jump and attack. Great game though!
Cool game! I thought the graphics effects were a nice touch. It's a bit hard to get the hang of but I enjoyed it after a few games. Good job.
Cool idea. Took me a while to get the hang of. I ended up having to wait a long time to expand since I didn't realize each planet yielded one mineral type. Really fun though. Good job!
Cool take on a two-worlds platformer. Good controls considering they're in space. Good job!
I liked the music! I'm not really sure what happened... I guess the dragon came at me from behind because I suddenly teleported to the next island. I second locking the mouse to the screen. Nevertheless, it's a great idea to expand on. Good job.
Great audio here. The popping sound is very satisfying haha. Simple idea but executed well. It would be cool if we could somehow affect planet generation. Good job.
Great first entry! It's very difficult but fun once you get the hang of it. I wish the game would skip the title screen when restarting.
The polish on this is very impressive. The game is very fun too, although I basically just ran around haha. I loved how hectic the game gets at times. Great job.
Sucker for pixel art so I enjoyed that. The mechanics are smartly done. Reading the instructions, I was confused about moons, but playing around with them - they make sense. Undo and more audio would have been nice. Great job!
Loved the music and audio! The ghost mechanic was cool, and made the game even more fast-paced. Good job!
Very beautiful game! Art, music, mood are superb. I feel like the intro is long-winded considering the length, but this would be a great beginning to a full game. Shame you couldn't work in some interesting gameplay. Very impressive though! Great job!
This was really good! I enjoyed the story, art and music. I wish things were a bit more open-ended but I understand time constraints. Good job!
That was fun! Great voice acting and it was strangely fun to nod and have the characters react. I encountered some graphical glitches with the "How To Nod" billboard showing over the floor. I also wish the mouse was more sensitive. But overall, great job.
Very charming! Took me a while to figure out what to do, but I liked exploring the planets once I did. I actually liked trying to figure out what to do, although the screws could stand out a bit more. Good job!
This game is really good. It seems simple at first but there is a lot of strategy involved. Difficulty curve was well designed. Art and sound are a little plain, but overall great job!
Gets very difficult very fast! I loved the idea. If this was easier, I think it could actually be used to help people learn internet safety. Great job.
Haha this was great. Loved the voices. It's very difficult but I almost made it! I think some awkward music would really tie it all together. Good job!
Fun game! Very difficult but I think losing one coin when you get hit (instead of starting over) helps soften the blow. I got some choppy movement but no other bugs. Good job.
I really enjoyed the art, music, and light-hearted mood. I wish the backgrounds were also hand-drawn, just so everything fit together. Great job! I hope to play your entry next time!
The lack of smooth movement is pretty strange. Impressive you programmed this in C++. Good job!
This was cool! Loved the art style. Gameplay was fun, though I think an easier learning level would have been nice. Also, it never seemed to let me move diagonally which was strange. But I enjoyed it!
A simple idea but pretty fun. Some weird things happen if you build structures right on top of asteroids! Sometimes, asteroids spawn right on top of Earth too. Good job!
Loved this game! The art and music was great. I actually did not have much problems with the compo controls. I did get some strange bugs when clicking on stars. The level would garble up towards the end, but always completed. Great game!
Wonderful music. It's impressive that you basically created two games here. I would say the difficulty in comet mode should increase faster and the click "radius" could be larger. I enjoyed it!
Really cute! Loved the art. The stealth mechanic worked well too. Great job.
Great idea. Good use of the theme. The different worlds help to change up the gameplay. I liked the graphics too.
Wow I love this idea: bullet hell on a cylinder! Also loved the halftone shader. Not much connection to the theme though. Great job!
Great mood here. The gameplay is not bad either. It took us a while to figure out how to play, but it's actually quite strategic. The web version is very slow but it worked fine on the desktop. Good job.
Loved the music! Game is really hard but I was able to stay alive for a bit haha. Good job!
Cool idea and good level design. Could have used some audio, but I understand the time constraint. Good job!
Loved the mechanic in this game! Only trouble I has was with destroying the stacked cubes: the phone seemed to clip through the cube in front of me, so it was hard to use sometimes. Loved the grassy feeling of the hidden world. Great job.
I loved the graphics! I thought the spaceship piloting worked well and was pretty fun. Audio would have been nice, but I understand time constraints. I feel bad for the little aliens though, haha! Good job.
Really cool how you used this simple mechanic. I loved the art too. Great difficulty ramp. I just wish there was more audio. Great job!
Great idea! I think with some refinement, it could be the foundation for a great puzzle game. Currently, I think timing is emphasized too much over puzzle solving. But very innovative. Good job!
Cool game! Controls are floaty but the game owns it, so I didn't mind them. One strange thing: if you fire on a down-ramp, your bullets go into the floor. Almost got me killed. I enjoyed the music! Good job.
Haha very unexpected! I liked how the beginning is so calm. Wonderful art and music. Really good job.
This is really cool. One of the better uses of the theme I've seen. I think difficulty could ramp up faster. It took me a while to understand the asteroid game. Greta job!
Solid mechanics and interesting game design. It's nice when developers take to the time make in-game instructions too. Good job!
Great game. I especially liked the art and mood. Moving was sometimes annoying since my fox would often move too far, sometimes pushing carts against the wall. But overall, I enjoyed it!
A sad message, but very well communicated in the game. I liked the graphics too. Good job!
Very touching game with phenomenal art. Great job.
Cool game! Loved the use of gravity switching, although it was a little buggy and too sudden. I wish there were some more sound effects. But overall I enjoyed this game. Great job!
I liked the simple graphics. Yeah the game is hard, but I enjoyed it. Good job!
Graphics are nice, and I liked the music. Control scheme worked well for me, but platforming was difficult since movement was so sensitive. Good job!
Difficult game, but a cool idea. I could never get very far, but I did enjoy the graphics. The sound effects were well done! Good job.
Pretty basic platforming but controlled great. I liked the art and music, although some sprites had strange perspective. You created a good mood. Great job.
I loved the graphics and music, but I felt like the sound effects didn't fit (but what can you do in 48 hours?). Controls well and fits the theme. Good job!
It is very difficult. I think if you fell down slower, that would help a lot. Good idea though, and I liked the music. Good job.
Haha I played this for way too long. The audio reminds me of Mario Paint, which is great. Loved it!
Cool music and art! Controls were very smooth and I loved watching the ship fly around. Could use some more balancing and I encountered some graphics glitches when transitioning between worlds, but overall, great game.
Good use of the theme. Switching towers between worlds adds a different dimension to my usual TD strategy. Great job!
Nice art and audio! Sometimes, on small planets, it would not let me draw two lines - maybe because the first was covering it? But fun little game. Good job!
Very funny game! I especially loved Link and the ending. The at is very good too. Great job.
A nice story experience - I think that's fine. Every game doesn't need action. I liked the music and art! I think a some of the art could use some polish, and the font was missing characters, but I did enjoy it. Great job!
A cute old-school platformer. Enjoyed the art. Tight controls as well. Good job!
Fun game! Reminds me of Oregon Trail in space. You put a lot of content into this! Could use more polish but overall, well done.
Great art! Very difficult but in a good way. Controls were interesting - really felt like you're in the water. The music could use some work, but it's better than nothing! Good job.
The audio and graphics are some of the best I've seen so far! Mechanics took me a while to understand (I just jumped into the game and came back to read the description). Very impressive game. Great job!
Simple platformer but fun. I liked the sound effects! There are some strange physics: sticking to ceilings, inconsistent double jumps, but controls were responsive. Good job!
This game is very impressive. Great polish and superb pixel art. One issue: the SFX clicks for me if a few of the tall guys die at once. I could see this as a base for a full game. Great job!
This was pretty cool. Impressive you basically made many games in one. I liked the retro pixel art. It came together with the sound to make a cool mood. Good job!
Wow great mechanics. Simple but very challenging. I also liked the graphics. Thank you for spending the time to make in game instructions. Great job.
This is great for your first game, never mind your first Ludum Dare. It's not buggy and runs smoothly. I liked the explosion animations. Good job! Hope to see you next LD.
Cool simple platformer. I liked the variety of powerups, but some of them could last a bit longer. I saw some graphics glitches (seams in the tiles) but nothing major. Great music too. Good job!
Pretty confusing. I felt like I was beginning to understand but then something would work differently! Still, I had fun exploring the world! Beautiful graphics and great mood.
Very impressive to learn Game Maker in that time frame! The art is really nice. I like the music too. At first I would just stand on the bridge and shoot the enemies, but then I realized I had a time limit so I was more adventurous. Sometimes it's hard to walk across the diagonal bridges. Overall, great job.
A little hard to understand at first, but it's fun to play with a friend, so good job! Controls are smooth and did not find any bugs.
Great idea! I kept getting finger-tied trying to move the border - I think it might be better if you used A and D since that's more common (and move the fish with the arrows). Fun graphics. Overall, I enjoyed it!
Haha really charming. Nice to play games like this every once in a while. I really liked the graphics. The heart Earth and star backgrounds were very well done. Great job.
Controls were very strange - not what I expected for a train! - but I think they kind of add to the charm in a way. Audio was great. Great job!
Cool idea. I liked the half-way point reveal! Some of the jumps were pretty hard, since momentum behaved a little strangely. Good job!
Very hard but so cute! I loved all the animations and quirky characters. I felt so bad when one of the poor aliens exploded but it's too funny not to flick a few over there sometimes. I wish they did not twirl around so much when you hold them, but I suppose that just adds to the charm. Great job.
I loved the graphics and music. The gameplay is nothing new but it is well designed. For some reason, the game was very slow and stuttered even on the lowest setting. Firefox if that matters. Still, I enjoyed it. Good job!
Great art and sound effects! I though there was some really smart design choices that led to great gameplay. Missed some fast-paced music and better connection to the theme. One of my favorites so far! Great job.
Great art. I loved the designs for all the places, especially at night. The click box for the book in the shop was slightly off, but I did not encounter any other bugs. Good job!
I'm always impressed by 3D games. I braced myself when I saw the platforming level but it was actually pretty fun, despite the slight input lag. Combat was fun too, and I loved the death animations. Good job!
This was something else. Great art and sound. I loved the transitions between planets - very polished. The game is really easy, but there's strategy if you're going for a high score. Good job!
Nice sim game! It's a little slow paced, but easy to understand. I love the art and design! great job.
I loved the launching mechanic, although I think speed should ramp up a little faster. The physics worked well. Simple but interesting game. Good job!
Great use of the theme. Solid mechanics although it's a little slow paced at the beginning. Loved the graphics. I have a soft spot for XNA games so it's good to see one, although downloading dependencies will turn many off. Great job!
This was cool! I especially liked the intense sound. Smooth responsive controls. I had s strange effect where the smoke from my jet pack always displayed behind the prism. Great job!
Cool game! I liked the graphics although the camera whiplash made me a little nauseous. It's really cute though. Good job!
First off, I want to thank you fro streaming your Ludum Dare work - it always helps keep me motivated for mine! As for the game, I appreciated all the jokes and the graphics are charming. It gets a little overwhelming when you have a bunch of zeppelins to remember which routes you set up. Impressive for 48 hours!
Cool game. I liked the hacking mechanic. It was difficult to keep up with the green hackers and also read hints / deal with police. I especially liked the music, one of the better tracks I've heard in the compo. Good job!
Good game! Solid mechanics. Sometimes the game would not let me go through doors unless I ran into them a few times. I'd also say the music was too quiet. The art really cracks me up for some reason. Love the bears and the Bomberman-like main character. Good job.
I liked the backgrounds, although sometimes the characters blend in. Level design is not bad, but doesn't utilize character switching much. Enjoyed the game though - good job!
Cute game! I loved the art and gameplay. Sometimes snowmen would jump out at me right after melting the snow - not sure why! At first I wasn't sure how this fit the theme until I read some comments, but wrapping the game world around the screen is brilliant. Good job!
Good game - gets me into the winter spirit! Interesting take on the classic Memory game. I liked the piano, but wish the eggs outside were more winter themed.
Thanks for the comments so far! I went experimental with the art; sorry it hurt your eyes!
@mrexcessive: You get score for keeping the stars in view, so you want to guide the camera in such a way to keep them from going off screen. Having two with you at the end is good! I really wanted to make a better tutorial, but ran out of time!
Great graphics and sound! I like the contrast in style between the TV and real worlds. It was a little hard to get a handle on movement, but good entry!
The music and art are spectacular. The game is also very polished! Gameplay is very shallow but I loved watching the dragon fly around. I felt the intro was a bit too long for such a short game. Great job though! It's so impressive you were able to make all the art in 48 hours.
Game gets hectic very fast! I liked it though I wish use of the theme was more creative. Good job!
Really nice! I loved the art! Controls were tight and mission scaling was well done. I loved just watching the AI cars drive around! Greta job.
Really great entry. I love the screen effect. You see places you can't get to yet and wonder "What's there?" A great feeling to have in a Metroidvania!
The game frustrates at times. I think the combination of the fish-eye distorting distances, limited checkpoints, and extremely sensitive movement made it feel that way. I thought I needed to build all the nests to beat the game, but I wish I saved more sticks for that bottom-right wall-jumping area!
Still, I'm determined to beat it eventually!
Great game! Simple but fun. I loved the music but the volume is a bit too high. Eris mode was the best, because avoiding red orbs adds some challenge. I think the game time could be lower for a faster feel. Good job!
The mood and audio is very well done. I liked the screen change gimmick though it took me a while to figure it out. Nice game!
As others said, the game is bare bones but the idea is great. Congrats on your first LD!
Love the art, especially the title and results screens. I think the game would handle better with simple WASD movement and using the mouse to attack. The loading time was very long - I think a downloadable version might have suited this better. Besides those nitpicks, I had fun with this. Great job!
I liked this one! The art is really charming and the sounds are nice. The interface could use some polish and it took me many tries to actually understand. Overall though, great job.
Also, I couldn't get the web version to work in my browser, Firefox, but the Windows version worked fine.
Very nice! Smooth controls and great art and music. I loved the exploration aspects, especially the hidden passages. At first I had trouble finding the controllable character (didn't notice it until I accidentally fell into water) and some holes were very hard to get out of. Overall, I enjoyed it!
Nice game! Simple and easy to play. Phasing added some strategy. I don't see any reason to ever deactivate autofire, so maybe it should be on by default. Good job!
I didn't like having to install, but the game was fun! Very hard, but not frustrating. I found that just ignoring the enemies was easier than trying to shoot them. Overall, good job!
Controls were hard to get a hang of but the concept is fast-paced and fun. Love the inclusion of local co-op. Good job!
I'm always impressed with multiplayer games in LD, even if you had a bunch of post-release bug fixes. It took a very long time to load for me. Game itself is fun but very chaotic. Overall, great job!
Great game! Absolutely love the art. The mechanics are a nice twist on this type of game and having a random map keeps things fresh. My biggest complaint is that digging controls are sometimes unreliable. The game also took a long time to load - I thought something was wrong since there wasn't a loading bar. But overall, really loved it.
Great use of the theme. Controls were smooth and easy to use. Good job!
Great use of the theme. I thought the controls were very good, but a bit overwhelming at first. I wish the magnifier was needed more though - some areas with secret tiny passages would have been cool. Good job!
There's a huge amount of content here, and it's well polished. I'm really impressed! Love the art and music. Great job! Will definitely be coming back to this game.
This is really interesting. It's pretty funny, and I enjoyed playing it. I don't really think it needs choices or some other "gamey" convention, just a better conclusion. I wanted to see my curses have some effect! Great art and I loved the boot sequence. Good job!
Great pixel art! Cool idea to use a shield as a weapon. The game is very polished, though I thought taking you right to the title on death was a bit abrupt. I'd love to see more.
One of my favorites so far! Wonderful art and sound. The gameplay is quick and polished. When I first started, I expected the "fire" button to actually fire a bullet or something, so I was a little confused. I quickly figured it out and had a blast though!
Great job!
Cool game! I liked the music a lot. The different control schemes for walking and controlling Qi helped mix up gameplay. Good job!
Cool art and sound! I liked the crt effect. Prices were a little steep. I loved how ridiculous the story was! Good job!
Great art and music. Really created a good mood. For me, the controls were a bit strange, but I did get used to them. It's a bit petty, but I wished I could skip the cutscenes after a while, though they are beautiful! Good job.
Cool game! I really liked the audio. For me, the character sprites were very blurry. Combat worked well. Good job!
Great game! Simple mechanics but you do a lot with it. Love the art and sound, but missed music. Controls were generally great, except it was difficult to throw the hat while jumping. Great job, though.
This was really great! One of my favorites so far. Very polished for a jam game. The art is wonderful. My only complaint is the extreme walking speed made it frustrating to precisely roll rocks around at times. Good job!
Really cute cats! The art is really nice. The fact that you went through the work for the space visuals adds a lot. I also liked how you tied in the theme. I did encounter a bug, where I was able to pick up two items graphically and the game seemed to only register one. It fixed itself once the item broke, though. Good job!
Wow, powerful message! I won't lie - it did make me a little emotional. I loved watching the girls grow up. I think even without the deeper purpose, the game is fun in that respect. The art is very nice too. Great job.
Wow! Very polished! The art is really phenomenal. The only thing that annoyed me was pressing Z to use legos would sometimes try to open a closet instead, if I was standing close to one. This resulted in poor Mouse's demise at least once... Great job!
Loved the art and sound! Absolutely rad, man! A bit difficult to see what's going on at times. I think some enemies move to quickly to avoid or are too large and opaque. Collisions also confused me a bit. But really, I just enjoyed the spectacle. Great job!
Wow this game is huge! Had a lot of fun exploring. I felt the controls may be too sensitive, but still, great job!
Really nice! I liked the music and art, and the physics were smooth. For some reason, I felt a little claustrophobic with the scale of the art - wished I could zoom out more - but that might have been by design! I'd love to see this expanded on. Good job!
I love the idea! This game seems extremely ambitious. I did have fun exploring and using spells, and the game has great mood, but I never really found anything to do. I'd be interested in playing a more polished version for sure.
Really funny idea! It's a bit strange you can't blink with your right eye, but it doesn't make much difference. Great job!
Great game! Funny! I loved the gameplay and the presentation. Art was wonderful, and I liked how you can change your character - nice touch. I feel sound effects would have really added a lot, and 10 rounds was too much. It was also annoying when I figured out the rule but received no good words for it. Overall though, great job!
I like the gameplay here, and the art was simple but enjoyable too. I too had input issues, and the menu was difficult to use. The game is also very hard, damn the 5-ton spell! But overall, good job!
Oh, really sorry about that bug! I've never encountered that. If you don't mind me asking, were you playing the web or Windows version, and what was the error message?
Anyway, thanks for commenting! I'm glad you enjoyed it regardless.
Thanks everyone for the comments! I'm glad you like the game.
When you run out of film, the game should end once you collect all the photos. There's no way to get more film - just try to get the most points with what you have.
Great idea, I'd love to see it expanded on. Good job!
This was fun! I loved the art and music. I think the difficulty curve was a little slow to build. I thought the scrambled text at the beginning was a nice touch. Good job!
Great atmosphere and sense of speed. I loved how the obstacles react to the music. Sometimes it was difficult to see walls against the sky, but maybe that's intentional. Also, it seems this game does not tackle the theme at all. Regardless, it's very fun. Good job!
Cool game! I liked playing around with grappling. The art was very nice too. Good job!
Amazing art and music. Everything fits well and is very polished and smooth. It really feels complete. I also liked the slower-paced feel of this. I was stuck forever on the switches before the first skull, but finally passed it. Very good job!
Loved the gameplay here! You have to be pretty strategic or run out of spells to use. Good job!
I loved the story and ridiculousness of it! The gameplay is very repetitive but it's fun to see the demons' bodies pile up on the ground. I liked the music too, but I wish it looped better. I enjoyed it though!
Cool mechanic! Really polished game. It was sometimes difficult to redirect bullets, mostly due to it all sharing the left mouse button. I was impressed by the level design and content though! Great job.
The camera work is really great here. That and the music create a great mood. The platforming works well too. I'm impressed you were able to make such a large level! Good job!
Wow, I enjoyed this a lot. Funny, great art, good music. Some of the puzzles are a bit obscure - reminds me of old-school adventure games for better or worse. Great use of the theme. the game revolved around it, and I loved the twist at the end. Great job!
I'll repeat what people are saying about the lack of checkpoints. Still, I really enjoyed the mood and overall concept. It's cool that it's Oculus enabled as well. Good job!
I love the art and music here. I'm alone right now, but I plugged in two controllers just to play around with it. I think it will be fun to try out with friends later! Controls are a bit sensitive, and I encountered a weird bug where my owl's head shrunk after hitting a wall, haha. Great job, though!
This was pretty fun! Good art and controlled well. I think the waves were a little long, and I experienced some frame-rate drops. At first I was getting bored but more flavors really helped with that. Great job!
At first I didn't see the enemy description at the top so I was quite confused! But, I enjoyed the game after seeing that. The music was great and I thought the pace was perfect. Good job!
This was fun to play. It's always fun to have audio in this style for ludum dare games! The character art is also pretty charming. I do wish I could fire in a different direction than walking. Good job!
Wow cool game! I love the mechanics. Probably my favorite interpretation of the theme so far. Music seems a little strange for this game but I liked the sound of it. Great job!
Wow, this is really good! One of my favorites so far. I loved the mechanic - simple but there's a lot you can do with it. The art is good too, though I felt background was a little busy. Regardless, great job!
Very good game. Excellent level design, art and sound! Your graphic design always inspires me.
I enjoyed figuring out how things worked. Keyboard controls are difficult to use, and button prompts might have been nice, but I wonder if they would take away from the discovery.
Only other critique is I feel use of theme was a little weak. Overall though, another wonderful entry!
This was cool! The visual effects were well done and the sounds fit well. I was impressed with the foam's physics too, though it took me a while to understand using it to jump. Good job!
Cute graphics and I liked the music! Fun little tower defense-esque game. One complaint: it took me a while to figure out what the "fire" button is at the beginning. Good job!
Love the simplistic art and great music. The gameplay is not that innovative, but the way the rhythm is presented is. I liked using demons instead of circles traveling along straight lines. Good job!
Ah cool idea! I think this is one of my favorite uses of the theme. Great art and music, and well polished. Good job!
One of my favorites so far! Great controls and I really loved the art. Great job!
Loved the colorful art style! The way rooms lit up as you fought in them was neat. Sometimes it was hard to see the enemies through all the effects though. Good job!
One of my favorites so far! Great use of the theme. It's fun to try new combos and figure out what each piece does. Art is great too. Good job!
Interesting mechanic, definitely something I'd like to see expanded on. Great job!
Very interesting game! I don't think I've seen anyone else use this idea for the theme. I kind of liked typing things in, made the experience more tactile. Good job!
Great interpretation of the theme! It's fun to try and keep the rhythm and move around. I got a friend to play with, but even single player I enjoyed playing with it. Good job!
Oh great use of the theme! Art is nice too. I liked the sounds a lot, but I wish there was music. Only other complaint is it's difficult to run with the E key while using WASD. Fun though! I'll have to try this with a friend!
Fun idea! I liked the bomb animations. I think the mechanic might have been easier to use if you could drop bombs anywhere, but maybe that wouldn't fit the theme of the game as much. Good job!
Cool idea! It took a while to understand, and the camera moves pretty strangely. I liked the art a lot! Good job.
I have to say, excellent level design. I also really liked the music, and the little effects such as stars moving backwards in rifts. Great job!
I really like the art and mood in this game. Not mush sound, but what's there is well done. Controls well. I feel it's a bit hard, and ammo was not that useful. I liked the open ended level design. I got a lot of index out of range errors when I first loaded, but the game ran fine. Good job!
It was very hard for me to play with these controls, I think allowing WASD as well as arrows would have solved it. The game was fun though! Funny and has a lot of charm. Good job!
The art is beautiful and really sets a great mood! The game is also pretty funny. I loved flipping tables. The blur effect was a nice touch. I'm not sure if this game is losable? Also never really found a reason to jump. Regardless, it's fun! Good job!
Incredible game! I loved the whole thing. Only problem I had was figuring out that Rocky's right hand was also supposed to be matched. I loved the rhythm aspect mixed with figuring out the patterns. Fantastic!
Fun game! I thought the serious music against the cute art was very funny. Sometimes there seemed to be nothing to jump to, but other than that, I had no problems. Good job!
Wonderful art and sound, I love this style. The gameplay is a little simple, but it's fun to launch seeds. I was able to jump out of the play area by touching the walls, but luckily it transported me back to the start. Good job!
Cool take on Dr. Mario! Fun art and good music. Connection to the theme could have been better, but it's a good game regardless! Great job!
Fun game! I like the concept a lot. Trying to keep the wok hot while avoiding pigs was fun, although easy. I did encounter some display and collider issues. Nevertheless, I enjoyed the game. Good job!
Funny game! I thought the chickens were pretty well balanced. Controls worked well, but it does take practice to get the hang of it. Good job!
Wow, guess I should not have expected anything else from the title, haha. My inner five-year-old loved it. Art and presentation was great! I also had trouble with doors, but everything else was smooth. Gameplay is pretty hard and standard, but that's not necessarily bad. Great job for your first jam!
This was really cool. Loved the style and music. It was difficult, I think enemy hitboxes are a bit too large. If you did this in three hours, I can't wait to see what you can do with more time!
I love the concept here and the menus are really fun. Good music. I thought the difficulty was fine but I'm used to harder arcade games. I did get a null-reference exception on game over, but I just closed the dev log and the game worked fine. Good job!
Great game! I think my favorite thing was the writing! Art was beautiful and I though you used lighting very well, not only to create mood but also puzzles. One criticism is your character was so floaty it was hard to control at times. Really enjoyed this one!
Fun game! Weapon 1 seemed the best to use, but maybe I didn't understand the others. Art is really great and audio is nice too. Good job!
No bugs here! Great music. I never really understood the game but had enough fun watching the slugs move around and popping bubbles. Good job!
Good game you made! I liked the art! It's pretty buggy though as others have said. The sound effects added a lot, good job there!
I loved the simple see-through art style. The game itself was strange and difficult to figure out but still very fun to explore. Good job!
