I don't really know why, but I really liked this game. Perhaps it was because of the adventurous feel it had to it or something...

Wasn't a huge fan of the audio, but it wasn't bad either. All in all there was a lot included in this game, and I like what you did with the connecting of the worlds. Good job.
I really like the spider AI. Especially how they only occasionally run straight at you and follow you for a short while, and then go back to ensnaring all of the planets. I really liked this entry, great work man.
Mouse sensitivity was very low, and rather difficult to play with. The blue player's shooting would have been better with rotation, but all well. The art was fine. Lack of audio was a disappointment, but we can't all be awesome audio-creators ;). Lastly, hitting ESCAPE crashes the program all together. It was a good concept and has real potential though.
I got a "Computer missing OpenAL32.dll error when trying to run it. All other games have ran fine though, so who knows.
That's a pretty amazing concept and game you have there, wish I'd thought of that. I really like the change in view from game-to-game. Great job man!
I didn't understand why you used the name for the game you did until I actually played it. It was pretty intriguing and definitely has potential. Once you add that zombie defense portion I have no doubt I could play this for extensive periods of time.
Very good game, I love what you did with the wireframe cyberspace.
Interesting take on the theme :)
It says it because it isn't downloaded often, I'd ignore it.
I like how you got it to connect people's houses into a city, very nice.
I like the concept. This would be one of those games you just play in your free time. Similar to the original Pinball game on the old Windows operating systems.
"Oh yeah, sometimes there are metal balls around. I don't know what that's all about..."
Had me laughing haha, good game man. I like how you made it "connect" and humor the player.
Fun game and a cool concept, I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. The music and audio all-together was very nice as well.
Definitely had a spooky mood to it. Love these kinds of horror games. Although it was difficult, you did a good job.
Definitely not something I'd have expected. You certainly have a creative mind.
I really like the concept. As someone had already stated, for some reason I couldn't stop playing until I had won...which is a sign of a good game. ;)
It was an interesting concept, however I agree that it gets very difficult very quickly. Nice music though, it seems fitting.
Kind of gets tiring constantly clicking the arrow keys to move one tile at a time. Graphics could have been better too, but all in all it was an interesting concept and a decent game. I think you deserve a nap.
Compo version is pretty buggy, but it was a nice game regardless. I love the animation in this, I could have never integrated such smooth animation into my games. Even the little things like the flower movement were great, good job man.
Pretty good story. I kind of got bored half-way into it, but I'm glad I stuck through to the end,
Ten out of ten. Amazing graphics, music and story had me totally immersed. You got the mood spot-on. Simply amazing.
Instructions weren't very clear, so it took me maybe a minute to understand what to do. After I figured that out though, it was pretty fun despite it getting difficult quickly.
The music set a pretty creepy mood for this. I wish there was more to this than just walking around houses and t-models, but with some extra content and animation this could potentially become a really nice game.
Agreed, this was a pretty nice game. It made you think a little when doing the puzzles, and the music to go with it fit pretty well.
Really nice game. You can't get too far due to running out of money rather quickly and not being able to obtain enough to buy the line you need, but a fun game none the less.
Entertaining game, but I agree that the push effect is rather drastic.
Good concept. Gotta love programmer art haha, I know how it feels. The constant shooting of the gun does get very annoying however. Level creation was pretty good though.
It was a pretty good game in my opinion. It kept me occupied for a while and I enjoyed playing it, so I guess that's what is important when making a game. Good job man.
Menu controls are rather odd, but all well. It was a pretty entertaining game, although difficult to shoot the enemies at times. It seems to me like you have an obsession with Beyonce though. :p
Like the concept of having a market, most people don't add a store because they are too lazy. ;)
Really the only difficulty I could find with it was getting the recipes. Other than that everything else seemed to work alright.
Pretty different take on the theme compared to everyone else. Interesting game however.
I got stuck and the game froze as well. I applaud you for being the only one I've seen so far to interpret the "Connecting Worlds" as the real world and dream world. I really liked the concept.
Whilst loading the first level, nothing appeared but the two bots. Movement and collision works, but otherwise it is nothing but a black screen.
The idea was good, but the execution could have been better. Game also crashes after three or four losses.
Interesting concept. Confusing at first, but I like it. This is the first card and/or turn-based game I've come across so far in this LD.
Amazing art style and animation you have going there. Music really got my attention and immersed me into the mood of the game.
I couldn't even make it past the first part. Nice concept though.
Pretty humorous game. The audio was pretty good. I wasn't able to figure out how to reach the portal though. Perhaps clearer instructions would be better?
I could not load the webpage to play your game.
I like the concept, and it is indeed an enjoyable game. My only problem is that 90% of the time I could only move and play the game if the pause menu was open, as having it closed would actually pause the game.
Not terrible for a first game. I would focus a lot on collision detection though. Jumping while touching a wall and simultaneously moving freezes you mid-air, and left-hand collision is extremely buggy. When it comes to left hand collision, based one the way the spikes are set up, it looks like each block consists of two parts, and I assume you just accidentally set it to spawn you on the right side of the block instead of the left side when you collide with the right side of another block.
All in all for a first game it wasn't bad though, and it did keep me entertained.
**Adding on to my previous comment:
Also don't forget that they allow you to fix minor bugs such as the collision thing if I was correct about it simply being a typo or something.
I like what you did with the different depths of meteors, stars, and ships. It was an interesting game.
The shop worked, but took me a while to figure that out since it gives no indication. I started with -100.0 money, and jumping off a high ledge and spawning in the middle caused me to continue falling infinitely until I jumped on land again.
All in all it was a decent game though. While basic, it wasn't bad.
How are we supposed to run this? All I see is a .zip file with source code and assets.
I like the style, and I've never seen your take on "hidden" tiles hidden by walls before. Also very entertained and loved your interpretation of the theme. I am very impressed with this.
Interesting little game you have here, definitely raw though. In the web version movement and transformation wasn't working, so I had to download the .jar file.
Very slow on my computer and kind of confusing. Great graphics though, that is undeniable.
I like graphic novels, and this one was pretty good. It really sets a mood for itself doesn't it?
pretty good story-writing in my opinion. I couldn't have come up with that much story in such a limited amount of time.
The UI doesn't even work for me. It just comes up as a completely white/red-striped square with nothing in it.
It's like a game of Risk...loved it.
Excellent RTS. Enemy AI was fairly difficult, but the game was fun none-the-less.
Honestly I wasn't expecting to see a game like this in LD30, but that isn't a bad thing, I really liked it.
My Anti-Virus BitDefender detected this as a malicious file. Game doesn't seem to be working as it should be, and if it is then it isn't explained what to do very well. Interesting concept with the sound though.
I really liked the narration. It was an excellent game, and it's always nice to see a fellow LWJGL user! Only issue I had with it was that I was able to outrun the narrator's voice, starting the next sound-clip before the previous one had finished. Playing both at the same time.
That doesn't take away from the game at all in my opinion though. Great job!
Agreeing with what peejaygee said, I have no experience with Adobe AIR. Just as with him, I chose against running the application. I'm not accusing you of anything, and please don't take offense from this. I just have no experience with it.
Excellent game, and I love how it adapts to your screen. Only complaint is that it was rather difficult to survive more than maybe 15 seconds.
Windows 8 x64 could not run the game.
I liked the graphics style. I could never make graphics like that, my art-skills are too poor, haha.
The download link is broken for me.
Loved this game. Especially how all the snowmen follow you with such a simplistic path, it almost felt like the game "Snake" to me. Amazing entry, very unique and fun. Good job!
Pretty fun, and it kept me interested until finish. Also, I was able to get an infinite amount of light bulbs :p
Really enjoyed this game. I played until I died, and then considered trying again for a longer time. Definitely a quality of a good game!
Pretty much agreeing with everyone else. Has potential to be an excellent game. Currently though, I agree sound and a menu would be nice. Unlike the others though, I like the jerky scrolling.
Good game. I loved the music as well, it seemed fitting. I especially respect the music since it was self-made.
My only complaint is the collision detection with the bullets. At first I thought you had to aim at a very specific point on the zombie's collision box, but then I realized that there WAS ray-tracing being done, it was just...off. At times I was aiming places where there was nothing in the way, and slaying zombies at the same time. Despite this, it was still a fun game and I enjoyed it very much.
Definitely had some great humor in it, and this is one of the few entries I actually loved playing. In fact, I didn't want to stop playing. Nice art style, subtle story, sound, all of it. I enjoyed this one. :)
Your website or whatever website is hosting the file seems to be down.
Very fun. Kind of strikes me as one of those apps that could surprisingly catch on and be very popular. Maybe try it out? It definitely has the potential.
Amazing gameplay, however it was incredibly difficult in my opinion. Good game regardless, and it really set a nice mood!
@zompi
I wasn't being racist when I made the game. It's just that, when it comes to RGB pixels, black is the absence of all color while white is the presence of all color.
Also, the space key was a debugging thing I forgot to take out. It resizes the window to a different resolution.
I agree with what everyone else is saying. It was a very cool idea, and the core logic has great potential. If you had more time for game design I feel that you could have really shown this.
Going off what Soron said, the game was extremely laggy. At first, I thought you had to continuously tap the movement keys to make the player move. You should really look into some optimization.
Loved the story line...definitely kept me interested the whole time!
I tried to complete the first level, but it wouldn't let me open the door.
Very creative
I thought it was a nice game. I also like how (I noticed at the end) that the level numbers are made up of the level themselves. Very nice.
On a side note: While I do think the added elasticity to the blocks was cool, it wasn't entirely necessary for a maze game. :p
Good art. Only thing I have against it is that trying to look at the night sky with the spying glass only shows a random island. :p
Definitely a nicely made game. It kept me entertained all the way through, which I guess is what counts.
Awesome game, I thought it was very humorous seeing all the animals around the fish die!
When I tried running this game everything but the cube was black.
Interesting concept. I like the mechanics, however it is very difficult to keep track of everything with so many blocks.
Absolutely loved it. It was extremely fun, and games like this are the kind that I aspire to make in my future Ludum Dares.
The .jar would not run for me. (Windows 8.1)
Amazing game, but some instructions would be nice. It took me a really long time to figure out that the pause menu was the weapon, and I still don't know how to activate the faded platforms.
As with Sim, it took me a while to notice the icons in the corner.
The zombies would only hit me once, meaning I could stand in one spot and never take damage. Other than that it was alright. Controls were confusing, and at first I thought I was supposed to run the zombies over with my block. :)
Loved the music and voice acting. Controls were kind of awkward, yet manageable. How you came up with such an idea I have no idea!
Excellent game. Really like how we can use our own music for it.
My only complaint is that my ammo was going negative, and for some reason hitting reload shot green projectiles as well as reloading. Looks very nice, however.
Woohoo second best score!
Fun and challenging game, good job mate.
The game crashes instantly for me when trying to run it. Here's the stacktrace:
Error in shader: ERROR: 0:1: '' : Version number not supported by OGL driver
ERROR: 0:3: 'layout' : syntax error syntax error
I'm working on it, sorry for the trouble guys.
I fixed the crashing issue. It wasn't a missing file, there was just an issue with the file-loading code.
Thank you so much for finding that chocobyte. This was my first time using shaders as well, and since it ran on my computer I wouldn't have known what was wrong.
I sincerely apologize for all the problems guys, I'm sure this is as much of an annoyance for me as it is you guys.
Not my first LD, just my first 3D game. :)
I appreciate the input. The repetitive patterns were going to have a part in the gameplay based on what you'd be fighting but I didn't have time to implement that. But yeah I agree, the tiling could have been better.
I'm not sure why the controls acted that way for you, never seen/heard of that being an issue before. This wasn't the intended goal of the game, I literally threw what I had together in the last hour to make it something "playable" haha
Theme is very subtle, but I with the music I was definitely feeling the mood.
It was difficult at first but the more I played the better I got. I like the concept, it reminds me of Guitar Hero.
When I open the game it shows the "Made By Unity" animation, then a floor of some sort and then the screen just goes black.
Super simple, I love the freezing blocks dynamic. Good job mate!
