Fun game, love the bubbles that come out of the little sub, it adds such a good visual feedback for when the sub moves. I died a lot haha.

Fun game, love the bubbles that come out of the little sub, it adds such a good visual feedback for when the sub moves. I died a lot haha.
Love the concept and the built in tutorial. Right click also brought up the unity browser menu for me, not sure if it's just me. Would be nice to have an in-game indication on how much battery is left in the light. Seems like there are a lot more stuff in the game, but can't see them!
The little guy is super cute. Nice dungeons, a little more instruction would be nice and some additional interactions.
Fun game! I found that killing things with jumping is easier than trying to melee them. Very cute story. I wish they had longer arms.
Fun concept! I seem to get stuck after I touched a yellow note that said it's a placeholder image that'll contain the story later. Couldn't move after that. Does it only have 1 level? I was hoping to keep going!
The game loaded, but the Play or the Credit button do not work :( once a while I would see a blue bar in the background, so the game won't load right now. I haven't rated it yet, hopefully it can be fixed.
The jump control needs a little more tuning. I like the idea of running in the same room over and over again and the game seems to be endless.
Really cool! The ambient feel of the game really stood out to me. I like the feeling of being deep in the ocean.
The audio was also strong, portraying the mood delicately and the sfx were unobtrusive and matched the "ebb and flow" of the art design nicely...
I also liked the water waviness, made the game feel larger then maybe it was...
The player messaging made the actual "game" confusing to me, but still interesting...:)
The background of the game is completely black right now. Up and down arrows work, that's about it. Is it a bug?
Very cute art! Thank you for having instructions in the game :) I was hoping to have more control over the little sub guy because dodging the bombs was very difficult without having the ability to going up and down to speed him up.
Fun game, love the style. It doesn't really fit the theme though.
Absolutely wonderful game! The visuals, audio, and gameplay are all well done.
Thanks, missed that in my haste!
Sorry about that, Sugarbyte! Our next game will be in Unity web player so all can play.
Interesting! franksbad, was that on Beginner?
@franksbad near the end of the 4th level in beginner there is a wall with no collision. I put it there to teach people about secret walls. I am pretty sure the wall is only one layer thick and you will see more blocks you can break on the other side. Give it a try and let me know if that works for you. Thanks for playing!
It looks great, but it crashes after pressing the first button to follow down the platform :( I really wanted to see what else is there in the game!
Fun and simple. Nice music. It's weird that the game display area's bigger than 1920x1080 in a browser.
Very cute and simple! I kept on killing my friend... I'm a horrible person.
Love the art! A little more instruction would be nice. Took a little bit to figure out what everything does. Played 5 games so far, still haven't able to grow the pumpkin around the rock :( Really enjoyed it!
Hard a hard time with the controls, wished there's more instructions too, got a bit motion sick after trying to figure out what's going on . My favorite part is style created a nice mood for the game.
It's a very hard game, couldn't figure out how to get around the ghost :( Nice attempt, the 3D environment is nice.
Great art, and the music is really good!
Interesting game, it's nice to have a story to go with the game. Nice attempt at your first LD jam!
Interesting concept, still haven't finished it after many attempts lol.
Absolutely love the monsters and aesthetic! It was a little hard to predict the shark's movements.
Interesting mechanic! I made it to level 3 a couple times but kept getting stuck in the blocks there.
Had a hard time figuring out what's going on. But a great attempt at a different style of game comparing to other entries.
I really liked the idea! The art was also good. The controls made it rather difficult though; changing directions when you bounce against the sides makes it very difficult to stay in control.
I really liked this game! It was very hard and the controls took some getting used to but overall it was very well done.
Very challenging, but fun. Took a while for the balls to disappear though, would be nice to have multiple shots at the same time.
I can't seem to get past the first screen. Do I just go right? and it seems like I just died instantly after going right and hitting the first object. Are there any other controls? am I the white dot in the middle?
Very simple concept, but a lot of fun to play. some additional visual feedback for hits and movement would be nice, but it was enjoyable. Nice story :)
Love the gart style, impressed with how much you accomplished using just a few pixels! Had a hard time figuring out what I'm doing, I thought it was broken or the buttons didn't work. Some instruction would have bee great, even just in the entry page not on the game page. Also nice to see a game in a non-conventional screen size.
I had a hard time with the controls, but the game style is nice.
I liked the physics!
Card games are a cool idea! It doesnt seem to fit the theme very well, but is a bold idea.
Nice job!
I like the exploring and RPG-type elements in the beginning. Once I got used to the click-and-select type of interaction, it really worked for me. I'm not sure it translates as well in battle though. Great job overall!
I am experiencing the same issue as Andy, on windows 8.1 x64. I also see the sRGB profile warning.
Confession: I was playing both sides by myself and having fun with it :)
I wish it didnt default to auto casting the choices, but you had to click it each time.
Nice job!
I had more fun with this then I care to admit :) I would have loved to see more enemy types, and the beam that shoots the bullets is confusing because it doesn't hit the monsters sometimes. I like the upgrade system a lot and I think the overall idea is clever and fun!
Nice job!
I like this game. Good depth for the time we had. Art was great. I feel like the game goes a little fast during planning.
Cool idea. Love the art and the simplicity!
Definitely looks like you're aiming for a mobile app. Keyboard controls would have been nice for the web player version though.
Woah! Did not expect this! Really fun game :)
The loop can get kind of annoying after long periods of time, but I had fun!
I did not understand the song I was listening to. But it was strangely bouncy and happy, in contrast to the bloody context of the gameplay itself. I found it funny. I was sad that I could kill the sheep. Poor sheep.
Cute game! I liked the music and the cute sfx...also liked the design progression of each stage! :)
This game was really hard for me, i think its a great idea though! The window opening couldve had some cool effects to make it more "chilly" :)
Nice job!
That's strange, Ted Brown. What resolution are you playing in? Would you mind emailing me a screenshot? tj@poqagames.com.
There was a bug where the player's rigidbody2d's gravity was turned on, and in some browsers/computers, it caused the player to fall off the screen before the player's scripting kicked in and took over movement. Since that meets pretty much the exact requirements of allowed bug fixes (a true that should have been a false, and had nothing to do with gameplay) I've fixed it. If you were unable to play the game before, you should now be able to!
@JJEvil The monsters focus is on the base. They know they have no chance if the try to battle the great Dwarven Red Panda! (Player doesn't have health. Enemies can only attack the base and the towers.)
This game is really depressing. depressing theme. depressing song. Nice job! It was perfect
Congrats on getting the voice of Eeyore :D
This is a really cool idea! I love that you can see your plan play out as you do it...I'd love to see Payday take this idea in their games :)
I had fun dragging in the fish!
The background is really nice! I was unable to discover the secret of IE, unless it's that it is terrible.
Some really cool visual effects!
Nice game!
Loved the graphics and the effects.
NICE GAME. I lost though :( wish I could upgrade my attacks
2 Player games are hard to rate just because its not very common people are rating these games "with" someone to give it a fair rating. That being said this is a pretty fun game, i wish the map moved and there was audio to help sell victory and defeat, but is a great attempt!
Kudos for trying to add network support! :)
I like the music in this game, matches the art style nicely. It was hard to tell when the turns were up and when I was supposed to do things...but pretty fun!
I had fun with this game! The white text against the snow was hard to see. I wouldve enjoyed having a reticule for my gun, and I wouldve loved to have seen snowmen inside the houses maybe :)
Also I enjoyed the tiny snowmen and the secret alleyways...nice job!
Solid game. My issue was with using the edges of the map. If I flew to the other sides I auto fly back (because my mouse switched sides). I did not really like the music for the game but I think the game itself was good.
As many have said, this is a bit of a confusing interface. Please keep in mind that players need feedback to understand the game mechanics!
This game is a great prototype. Its difficult to rate this as a "game", but I did my best :)
Awesome job doing Oculus support!
I loved the "limbo" feel to this. Great idea and I hope you guys decide to finish it! :)
Nice job!
This was a lot of fun! I wish this game could work with one player somehow :(
I felt bad for the guy.
I liked the crab design. It was cute. There was not much of a story. I imagine it is a sort of crablike white leukocyte trying to kill off pathogenic cells. Actually I just read the title of the game. Aliens make sense.
It's fun! I just wish I could move the ship. It became a game of how fast can you click :)
Tanner:
I like it a lot. It's intuitive, simple, and makes clever use of the theme.
Interesting game! I feel like the cat has too much stuff coming at it on the first level, so it was a little challenging, but still fun!
I did not get it :( T_T I got near the end I think.
Really fun! The powerups seemed a but strange but overall a lot of fun to mess around in :)
Nice job!
I really liked this game! I would call it more of an experience, but I had fun delving into the floating classroom dream of a unicode snowman! :)
Nice job!
This is pretty fun - I would like a small tutorial if possible so i'm not so confused on what to do :)
Can you please provide some instructions on how to play? When I open index.html, I just see a blank screen.
Also, you have the game listed as a Web build, but it is not a web build - perhaps host the game on a server that works and put the link to index.html there?
I got the high score hee hee :D (33) Very macho. Nice game.
Wow! I really like this game! It wouldve been great to play up the dischord theme even further, maybe having the music be off key and as you line up the ying and yang harmonize together...Great job!
Also the full game doesnt fit on screen when played on the games ludum dare page :)
Really, really cool idea! I got through the password check part, and i loved the mysteriousness behind it all...Well done!
I finished! I would love to be able to save the character position between shot attempts and have more levels!
Nice job!!
My brain!!! Really complex and a neat idea! Easy to lose track and die, I lost like 10 seconds in :(
Nice job!
Neat idea!
The game looks great and has great potential. I think some shooting sounds (both when you shoot as well as when the alarms shoot) would help out. Most of the time I died, I didn't know I was being hit. It was a bit difficult overall and I couldn't go through the doors, but I like the concept!
I wish i could see a line telling me where my shots would go...also i liked the penguins!
Really liked it! Simple, yet fun. The leaderboards is a great way to retain engagement. What I really liked about the gameplay is that at times you have to strategically switch your concentration to a new "main" ball so you can at least always keep one going. Very cool!
A little hard to tell what to do - none of the options I tried in two playthroughs seemed to reduce or slow, or even speed up, the swelling. Great humor though!
Tried to play this a few times and my water droplet no-clipped through the phone on the second area once I touched the last water droplet. I think the game needs to speed up and might need a better control scheme.
Great for a first game!
One thing that you should concentrate on the next game is giving the player feedback about what they're doing, other than just changing a number on the screen.
I think what kept me playing is the presentation of everything. The reward of lightning was really cool!
Simple but fun.
It was too hard to get used to the controls.
I like the gravity effects!
I loved the lack of instructions. Once I figured out how to control the square, everything started making for sense, and I liked figuring that out myself. I'm still not sure what the inner circle is, and seeing yellow on gray is kinda annoying, but I had a lot of fun with your game!
Very cool game! Pretty brutal though.
You might want to redesign the first few screens to teach the mechanic a bit better. Show people that jumping causes unexpected spikes to appear by making them appear in a non-threatening area the first time.
Took me a while to figure out what's going on and how to play, some tutorial might be nice. Art's very cute and definitely an unconventional weapon.
Interesting story, good to see the chart of the story flow as well.
Great game!
< Erfeo - it's just a stat. As long as you protect your loot (the glowing items), you've beat the stage.
I'm working on an Android version!
Great game! I like the camera work and the animations.
Very cool concept! Always nice to see a pygame games. Hope you finish it!
Clever game!
I definitely had some control issues and had some bugs with slots becoming unavailable after a syntax error. I would've loved if the game started in a less perilous situation - give us something to shoot that isn't about to roflstomp us in 3 seconds, like an inanimate crate or something!
I was critical at first but ended up really liking the puzzle aspect about it. Also, checkpoints ftw!
Great game!
As others have said, the controls are very difficult. Allowing some sort of strafing is a must (aiming in a different direction than walking).
Great first game though!
Interesting weapon! The physics were amusing.
Wow, the post-jam version is so well done! Everything looks so beautiful!
I was hoping to get a look at the source for how you did the art assets, but it looks like it's just the code. Ah well!
Hey! I see that you're linking to a zip of your HTML5 build.
Instead, you should host the build somewhere, like a public dropbox folder, and link to the index.html file as your Web build!
Don't worry, lots of people have done the same thing. Like me. :)
Once I finally figured out how to play, the ending was very satisfying.
I know you didn't have time to put in-game tutorials in, but you could have explained the controls better on this page!
For those wondering, you build devotion by clicking on followers who are standing still. Don't let them wander off the screen - move the tree by left clicking and holding.
Click the button on the right to buy more followers, which will make it much easier to get more devotion.
Got to size 225 in mode 2. Interesting concepts.
Thanks for the comments everyone! Unfortunately it didn't come together until it was too late to balance much. It's funny, our games are usually too hard - at least people are able to see the ending!
Nice entry! I wasn't able to get that third option to unlock.
It's interesting! I like games like this - there's a 'story', there instructions are displayed right on the screen as you play the game, and there's a feeling of progression.
Unfortunately I can't figure out to do with the nodes. I've tried twice and I keep getting stuck after nodes first become an option. I try to click on their upgrade buttons but I think there's a layering issue which causes me instead to move them.
Very nice! The music was particularly good, I'll have to check out their stuff.
For those who can't run it, open a terminal/command prompt and type: java -jar <path-to-extracted-jar>.
Nice game! In the future I recommend combining the 'how to play' and the gameplay screen. This is a game jam, there's not shame in showing instructions in gameplay!
Good start at a game!
Interesting concept! I liked it. There was a display issue where the # of missiles didn't update when I cleared a lap - only when I fired a missile. And of course the aspect ratio issue - next time maybe make a windowed resolution required?
Good job!
