It is quite hard but other than that it works and feels really good.

It is quite hard but other than that it works and feels really good.
It does not work on OSX, the menu is flickering, the mouse jumping and I can“t do anything.
It is fun, it looks great, feels polished and wow, I am just really amazed what you did in such a short time.
I am the guy who did most of the programming on this game:
Those performance issues should be due to the vram being full, because we did not scale down our textures to sane dimensions.
There are also shadows in the game but due to some last minute camera changes they went missing and we did not notice, now there also turned out to be a bug with the shadows on AMD drivers.
The biggest known issue however is the physics, it should mostly work on the start island, but you should try not to move anywhere else, because sooner or later you will fall through the ground. This is some problem with using bullet physics in a wrong way to generate the colliders or something.
In theory there is also an OSX version and oculus rift support, with the rift support only working on OSX so far, but it still has some issues.
So what I am trying to say is, I am working on a post compo version fixing all those issues, but due to my lack of time I have no idea if it will already be this week or if it will take longer than that...
Thank you all for the positive feedback :)
I just wish more people could actually play it.
I have been thinking about alternative for the input, but all I can think of using gamepad or mouse/keyboard is either too much work (changing the game quite a bit) or not fun at all.
Also I have been thinking about leap motion support, but I am not sure how well that would work due to its restricted fov.
About not being connected to the theme: I wanted to do something with VR, so that already complicated things. At least the player is stationary and most of the game is usually in the players field of view. Also inspiration came from pong and blobby volley which are both games in one screen. But in the end just vote whatever you think of my interpretation of the theme. In my opinion I am not totally off, but there surely are much better interpretations.
