This is really addicting. I didn't stop playing until I feel the minions are just too many to keep track of (more than 20) The MOHAHAHA is a nice sound effect lol

A great game to deliver very believable situation of what happens when alien want to blow earth up! They have to compensate for the lag!!! Hahaha
Nice voice acting and animation when the drone dies too :p
Humorous and excellent execution of the theme! My only complaint would only be the control mechanism. For a fast pace game, the control scheme in this game is not very nifty
Really nice and I see you can code C++ using SFML and also doing amazing art work & animation using SB:S&S EP style pixel art! Nice looping music too!
Definitely the best graphics I've encountered so far!!
Villains in our industry... very realistic gameplay. :P Even it's complicated I think it's also very nice that you are able to make this a fun experience in such a short time period.
It's always great to explode cubes! But I admit I didn't get the point very precisely. :p Excellent graphic & audio presentation by the way.
Really liked this one! Also reminded me of SimCity... :p I think the control mechanism and UI is pretty neat too. The sea current is really original.
The spawning concept is a bit hard to get used to, but I think that different level of NPC behaviour is neat. :)
Interesting interpretation on the theming! Gameplay is simple yet addicting and quite moody. :)
I appreciate the effort you made to make the bullets match the music, I think for certain kind of music it plays out pretty well, and the mapping scheme is something I haven't seen before (like in Beat Hazard), but I still have to say the game itself really doesn't fit the theme IMHO.
puzzle is nice, but seemed a bit buggy? I didn't try out the harder one, but one of the simple one's trigger can pull you back and make the train go opposite direction, even if I actually turned to the right direction.
Nice, now I only hope the fighter can actually shoot too. :P
The feeling and audio in this is very nice. The idea of monitoring communication is rarely seen as well.
What a twisted in the end! I still rated Graphics though, I think the text content can be counted as graphic. :p
Even though the game is not very horror-looking, the mood is really nice. When playing I can't stop thinking what happened. :)
But the clues in game can be arranged in a more meaningful way though, I guess.
Really really unique game and it's quite fun to play. The meaning behind it is pretty profound too. It's abstract yet it's so real.
This gave a very creepy thought: There must be some guy behind my computer sneaking the mines when I play minesweeper.... (*gasp*)
I lol'd so hard when the crowd just swamp me. Well executed idea!
The art style is really nice! Though the game is short but it feels very completed.
Hahaha! Though 1st & 2nd level is unbeatable due to frame rate issue, 3rd level is actually playable because there it got more objects so the frame runs slower!!
I was thinking is this guy deliberately make this so hard...? he must really hate some guy that jump queues.... Kudos!
Excellent animation and art style, and a cute idea for villain. :)
Very good metaphor just by using simple geometries. And the main character's evolving system is really neat and innovative. Kudos!
Pretty cool! Sometimes it's like too many buttons though :p
The flag is really out of place in a village full of cubes (I meant in a good way) :p Yeah, reminded me of some assassin/hitman like game... :)
@gameXcore
I am terribly sorry for forgetting bundle the Love2D DLL's in the download!! God I must have been too tired...
Download link fixed and I assure you this is the same one as 5 hours ago. :)

@feiss
Thank you! I went to rate you game too :) It's very nice idea to combine path drawing and shooting/action games!
@angelk
Thank you! Hope you get around to implement this kind of game in the future!
@Sheep
Yes, it was a literal transposition from "Hero" to "Minion & Boss" in bullet-hell kind of game, and I just want to try out the idea and didn't give it much thought beforehand. After implement it I think I have to take this idea to some other direction, but there's potential.
@SkyWolf
Yeah! I saw a few shoot'em ups actually. Glad you found my entry too! :D
@Freakill
Thank you! Yes, I had a few more ideas for minion ship formations or even more ship types, but I was hoping to at least understand what it would be like with only 3 archtypes of formations.
Then I spent time to fix programming issues and balancing, so I ran out of time. :P
@Husky & KWL_TW
Thanks. :)
@Atomic
Currently the first part of the game is pretty random yes. When I had the idea I was thinking if the player can actually corner the hero using some strategy of calling different formations into the battlefield, if you count all the directions of the 3 archtype formations, it'll be like close to 10 choices and I can't think of a better UI in time, thus the randomness you felt.
@Edocentrique
Thank you :)
@Digiraze
I tried to calculate the speed (vector) of the nearest "incoming" bullet (IMPORTANT: not leaving bullets) to the hero, and basically make the hero go perpendicular ways to that vector. There's another vector to keep in mind: the vector from that particular bullet to the hero.
Make hero go sideways to the bullet's speed vector only, is not good, when you have to "go around" the bullet.
I am sure there are better ways to develop the AI, currently my method don't work when the hero is surrounded with bullets. In that case the information of any particular bullet is not useful, AI has to find a breach in the bullet wall. I think it's a lot harder than what I did.
@radmars
Thank you :) I played NONEX (which replied to me up there, his entry is 8733), and he got the drawing control, which is super great. However, I kinda loved the old school minion formations in bullet hell games though, I'll try harder to find a better UI for it.
@Logun
Thank you. :)
@bushmango Sorry! I am not sure what happened, by thus far I didn't find any problem with Google Drive... maybe it's account setting and/or region related issue on google's part.
Anyhow, I uploaded the same version of game to dropbox, plz check the download links again if you see this. :)
@rftr Thank you!
@Shugor I appreciate the feedback! I wish I had the time to carefully design strategic usage of different minion formations. And of course more weapons & abilities for both the Hero & Boss would have been nice. I'd definitely looking into this part. :)
@Digiraze I think that's pretty clever. Since you mentioned partitioning the objects into tiles, I am also thinking maybe simple BFS (to the exit) works?
@Tobias Thank you for the praise! I should've at least record some pewpew sound or just use bfxr to generate one quickly... :p And yes, I guess I'll have to find some time to do a post compo version just to add sound and more strategy or attacking options. About the cost it's just one of my lazy mistakes... There's no cost for using bullet waves, I just forgot to take it out. orz
@zenmumbler Thank you! Sometimes the mashing can be done more efficiently (like when the hero is camping one spawning point of the minions then don't use that formation), but yes overall it's just mashing currently.
@Dark Thank you! I'll try your game again!
@Pacifist Games & @Mista Koo
Thank you guys both! I'll work on the strategy part pretty soon, hopefully! :p
My only comment: We must protect & preserve our planet!!!
The power distribution concept is nice, and the volcano ball got neat effects too. I also liked the music. But I feel the game is too slow-paced.
The viewpoint of the game is new, and the orbital scenery is fantastic, but I hope the game mechanics can be more clearer (for a strategy game) :) It like after I build certain notority through obliterate a small city and get some ransom, I can just walk around asking for money without doing anything else.
Yeahhhhhh I've got space light sabre! (zwoooooooop)
I was stunned for like 2 sec and lol'd
The gameplay itself is pretty novel, but I don't know if is it just me, I find that unsolvable maps too common.
Oh poor little troll :)
Very nice. I am impressed that you can did this with all those upgrades! Some of them seemed unbalanced, but overall it's great and kept me playing.
Gameplay is simple yet the meaning behind it is profound. And it really fits the theme.
This game is excellent for the theme, super well executed, well balanced, art is very intricate and intresting. Kudos!
Nice graphics, and nice mechanism too! Every unit has its ability is pretty cool, and fits nicely :)
Reminded me of those Street Fighter II car bashings... The main character should have the ability to use hadoken XDDD
Fun to play and the BGM layers are nice. But I think control and framerate issue is a little bit annoying. :)
I loled sooooooooooooooooo hard!
@the author,
Sorry, but it says it's unable to load mono. I am trying to play on Windows7, but there's only libmono.so in the directory, and BUILDS/DALD25_Data/Mono/mono.dll is missing.
I'm a bit reluctant to install the Web Player that is...
Aside from control scheme I think this game is really great for a 48 hrs project! The linear narrative didn't compromise the mood. Feels very immersive. :)
Really nice concept and excellent! though it's hard it makes players think about the choices. Pixel Art is super nice.
Sooo amazing. Watching the timelapse is like: "Fuxk, this guy really did all these in 48 hrs!"
The demon king seemed to be easily overwhelmed by the protectors.. :p
I think the mood and the gameplay mechanism and level design are all pretty nice! Somehow it's like playing Alan Wake reversed. :P Though a lot cuter that's for sure, and the goat. :P
Very nice execution and fun concept of "infection"!
I'm giving high graphic score for this one!
The art style is pretty novel to me, interestingly an all white background for the universe still pretty fits. (to me) :P I only wish it doesn't need installation. But I guess if you used XNA to publish it's pretty hard to do that?
Nice one. Is there red UFO to use? :ppp
Neat animation for the monster :D But is it possible to fill even a single scared-rate bar? :p I loved this concept anyway!
It's sort of like a reversed-omnidirectional snake game! Simple yet excellent art and challenging.
Superb! Making a realtime stretagy game by yourself alone in 48 hours is amazing. I am thinking the pace is too slow or things too scarce for now, but still this is a very cool minimalistic RTS.
Nice little roguelike. :)
Though you didn't implemented the AI part -- I think it also opens up a new idea though. Because asymmetric gameplay in this kind of small scale 2P games is actually quite rare I think.
@feiss
The combination with drawing paths for the minions is really cool! And thanks for rating mine :)
For other people, I've got a "bullet hell reversed" game which is more or less with simliar idea, but without art and sound at all though :p

Sheeeeeeeeeeeps :p AMAZING sprite art works by the way! No idea how you can do that in just a dozen of hours.
Mind = Blown with that control. And Ki-shooting legs/feet is awesome. The boss is a bit tedious though, my only real complaint.
It's pretty neat to combine quite a few different puzzles that also conform to the theme, but I sure find the controls a bit confusing at the end -- I have no idea how I suddenly complete the rotating pattern matching puzzle (every time I try to press left/right all the rings will rotate simultaneouly, or maybe that was intended? :P)
