Very atmospheric, music and graphics both used to great effect.

It's very hard with such a large board, but it's minimalist, fun and fits theme
Despite all its little flaws and imperfections, it's still a fun game. I love these types of arena games.
I love the level of polish you manage to put into this. Really well made little game!
I like it, sooooo moody
Holy crap, the nostalgia is unparalleled! I had such a burst of joy from playing this, thanks! The music was excellent, the visual were so retro but lively and colorful in a tastefull way! I can only complain about the movement for the character ebing a bit buggy and the bosses perhaps a tad too hard. Oh!, and I got to negative health and kept playing, pretty sure your death mechanism isn't working. Other than that, really nice job!
Congrats! Really liked it!
Maybe dropping barrels that float up to damage boats. Graphics and audio are a bit simplistic, buit I'm sure you're aware :)
The slowing down, if not controlled from a design perspective, can make the players want to stop playing, be careful. Either way, it took a bit of guts for going with the 2.5D route instead of full 2 D for a first game, I liked the model! Just some constructive criticism:
- The animation wasn't fluid at all, I could tell when it ended/restarted.
- A more fleshed out environment(rather than pure white maze) and audio would make the feel way more alive.
Anyway, you finished it, it works as you intended and that's a pretty big accomplishment on its own.
great feel to it!
Am I missing anything? Is the game just a piece of critic or is there trully an objective?
Totally outside the box, I love it!
What he said^ But I liked the mechanic for making tiles visible!
Nice little puzzle game! If you make the solution tighter, I can really see it taking off on it's own.
Does it ever end? Anyway, really cool mechanic, the whole game screems of urgency when the limbs are about to become blue! Very nice work!
coolbeans
Not sure how you collect the resources... Pushing them towards the boat doesn't do anything and when sometimes they disappear after I touch them, the resources counters remain at 0
Thank you! And one little thing, it's "R" to restart ahah, the font may or may not have messed up there ^^
That's a bit unfair to say, considering how there is almost always either a glowing mushroom, a wall or a platform in sight, but I appreciate the constructiveness of your comment! Both the Wallgrab and the Glide have a timer that resets when you hit the ground, I just edited the description, thanks ^^ Also, that music thing isn't supposed to happen, I'll check the code.
The bad news is: I don't know how to fix that :(
But fortunately, I'm almost done on an HTML5 port so expect to be able to play it on any platform soon!
I'll check it out! Meanwhile, if you refresh the page yuou should be able to keep playing without any issues
Try running it on chrome.
This is by far the tensest, most well produced entry in the jam in terms of visual and sound design. I almost jumped twice, the first time when ther rat squeeked and then the trumpet player (NICE JOB!!!) But, as MonsieurS said, when I got killed by the blob thing and went back to the start, I felt I didn't want to do everything again at all. Especially when the pace is so slow. You should seriously add checkpoints since your games thrives on the element of surprise, going through all that again and again is just flat out boring after the first time. Still, very highly ranked for me!
I like it! Just think the camera shouldn't rotate at the same speed as the globe, because i you try rotating in oposite directions, you can't really change your relative position.
Very fun, killing is really satisfying! The controls were kinda messy though
Very fun, although easy, killing is really satisfying! The controls were kinda messy though.
Link's broken
Ran it all the way through. It was a nice text based approach, but could've had more depth
Web link seems broken :/
Pretty cool. Good job guys!
Unfortunately couldn't run it (0x000007b) I'm on Windows 8.1 if that helps.
wow, just... wow. I liked it a lot, the game was gorgeous and the dialog, although menial, felt very meaningful. Congratulations!
It's VERY hard, did you come up with it by yourselves or is it an already postulated problem that you gamified?
Looks super pretty!
Can't find anything to kill, though
I LOVE the concept. I'd be interested to see what you would do with a bit more time. The Create tool could be more versatile and the shapes cover the UI, so you might have depth issues!
Very enjoyable! Very Super Crate Boxy, if you've played it, which you must. Good job!
Neat!
Brilliant, very impressive for 48 hours
That's just on another level senses-wise
looks very polished, I love that it's local multiplayer, but I can't help but feel the gameplay is boring. everything is very balanced and there isn't a particular element of skill apatr from the nukes. My sister and I just played for 10 minutes with no winners
COuldn't figure out how to play :(
I made it to up the wall. The concept is definitelly innovative, but idk, it felt a bit the same in every level. Still, nice pixel art
First of all, let me thank everyone for the delightful comments ^^ Secondly, when you drink while you have other options left, you "fail". The real ending happens when you exhaust every way of escaping
I couldn't get past the move metre :c
Clever!
It's too hard, imo, but it's a fun concept. The controls could be tighter, and the instructions clearer, but apart from that.
loved your art and your audio. The game feels great. Best yet!
I like how you interpreted the theme, it seems solidly programmed, I just wish you had made the spaces typeable, because I hit the space bar everytime and it got really frustrating. Oh, also, the sounds were a bit annoying after a few times
I like the game's name azul/rojo. The input is terribly handled, the inertia is very uncomfortable to play with. I really REALLY liked your level design though. I stopped playing in disarray because I got stuck in a wall and when I continued the game there were no colored blocks
You have some cute glitchy backgrounds, the music's adorable and the mechanics aren't common at all. It's pretty fun, I just wish you'd implemented the aforementioned par system
nice particles!
nice particles! didn't quite fit the theme though*
Pretty fun xD
I loved it! So complex and playable for a 48h game! Not to mention pretty, overall 5
Hey man, the game was really pretty aesthetically, but I hope you don't mind I mention some things that could make it a lot better. You probably know this and ran out of time but: you can jump inifinitely, the game would benefit from a health/lives system, to penalize falling on spikes. Also, the ball in the center is in my opinion too small to make experiencing your lovely scenario as great as it should be!
Love the ASCII art! the player's range in the beginning could use a little buff though
Not sure if the jump mechanic is the most effective, but was definitely interesting! Nice art too.
Asteroids, and I was going for a frenetic action vibe, thanks for the feedback!
Thank you everyone, and WatercressStudios I agree completely, I'll be working on improving the game this weekend so stay put if you want :)
It's a dungeon generator algorithm, correct?
I loved the ball dragging effect, also, I think difficulty scales a bit too slow at first
Loved the attention to detail, shame you weren't able to finish it :(
Is there a reason not to have the door always closed?
Controls?
Loved it
interesting, but needs better input handling
I don't get it, explain?
Great music, maybe a bit too short, I'm definitelly reminded of dwarf fortress, the graphics are pleasant and I just want to play more!
Just wanted to say it turns out I had another game running in the background and it was its music I was listening too ^^"
It took me way too much time to notice the alpacas were just darker lammas ahahah Funny though
Loved everything about it, not even kidding. It's strange, sad and heartwarming at the same time.
