LD30 — Connected Worlds

DOX30 by WebFreak001 2014-08-26T02:26:00

Seems unfinished. Time constraints suck. :(

It's really cool that you made a map editor though!

Or Else They Will Disconnect You (for Oculus Rift) by Dark Arts and Sciences 2014-09-13T15:55:00

Why make it Oculus Rift only? And why only a mac build? Honestly I think you could have gotten a lot more people playing your game if you added more support.

Linked Colours by Florent 2014-08-27T00:37:00

Good game. I liked the way you constructed a puzzle game under the theme.

Spaced Out by darkshadow 2014-08-27T00:09:00

I thought it was a pretty good game. But as Weasel said it could have seen some more action. But overall I really enjoyed it.

Really nifty and simple concept. You didn't need a tutorial or anything, you just start up the game and jump into the fray. Really clever use of the theme!

Romeo and Juliet, The Game -- make love, not war/suicide! by Arakade 2014-08-26T08:23:00

Can't run.

"Resource could not be found." :'<

Greener Grass by CogentInvalid 2014-08-26T22:34:00

The gameplay was SWEET. The music building up over time was really cool, the graphics all fit together. It was just really cool and I liked it a lot.

Connect and Conquer: Emperors by Moosefly 2014-08-26T08:25:00

Chrome deems the file malicious, cannot download. :<

DigMine QuickFast by aroymart 2014-08-26T08:46:00

NEEDS SOUND! I cannot stress this enough, I really enjoyed this game really loses something by not having sound.

The graphics were pretty cool for the first world (bug people yeah!) but after that the programmer art gets... bad.

The interface was kind of jarring at first, with the way dialogue worked etc. But once I got into it I was actually enjoying myself.

The Stitcher by christopf 2014-09-13T15:37:00

Honestly, why post if you don't even have anything?

Fuco by Zolmeister 2014-08-27T07:38:00

Short and simple, I like it! I liked the opening title animation. The controls had a bit of a delay (I played the web version) but I don't think that's your fault.

The use of the above circle to show how inside the lines you are did a great job of conveying how well you were doing.

I kind of wish there was audio of some sort, a background track or something wouldn't have gone amiss.

Worlds by insane66 2014-08-27T00:18:00

From my understanding, your 10 year old son made this game and you helped him with some little things? Overall, it's pretty cool to see him making a game for a game jam. But I think it's a little too early.

Now onto the game:
I thought the idea and concept was pretty basic. The game was a little challenging and a little fun. One of the things I don't like is if you may be on level 3 and die, it takes you back to level 1. The graphics are okay (I couldn't do anything better when I was 10). I found the game pretty funny with the animal's physics. Sometimes they would be a little slow, or randomly fly around the map. After all it made me laugh inside.

JUMP! by Aborysa 2014-09-13T16:04:00

Fun game. Except you stole me and my team's idea! No fair! (just kidding)

Coplanarity by awsumpwner27 2014-08-26T08:22:00

The level graphics look really cool except for the parts that you can't distinguish between background and not-background. The fact that it opens a console in the background is... weird.

The "fell really far" animation was pretty neat.

Seems like it could have been pretty cool if you had more time. :<

Shattered Worlds by burny123 2014-09-13T15:31:00

Doesn't even launch. I don't even know if this is a proper entry.

The Girl And The Bees by Jely L. 2014-09-13T16:20:00

It's okay. I sort of liked the idea of instead of a literal meaning of Connected Worlds, it's more figurative.

Finger Connection by bibiGN 2014-09-13T15:42:00

Pretty solid idea. But I highly recommend people not to make multiplayer games for a game jam. Unless if you can somehow make them online.

Crossed SIgnals by exoticorn 2014-09-13T15:46:00

Fun game. I wish there was more control over the camera though. Also some proper audio and maybe some type of ball-rolling animation would be nice.

Abyss by Damian Elkins 2014-09-13T16:09:00

It's an okay game. I don't really like the control scheme. If anything, it should have been A and D to rotate.

A Bridge Between Worlds by MoArtis 2014-08-27T01:17:00

Pretty neat idea, but there's no real... game. You might have over-scoped just a tiny bit with this project.

Wraith Hunter by waynaul 2014-08-27T07:45:00

The spirit world feels really cool, attacking and killing enemies feels really good. My only gripe is that I thought the spirit world exit was an enemy and I tried to kill it. Oops.

The level where you had to push the box while avoiding 3 Wraiths was deliciously hard. I could very well see that it was possible but it was super tricky and VERY satisfying to beat.

The music is nice, but it does this weird thing early on where it starts super quiet and then abruptly gets loud. Maybe it's just me.

Substitute Night Watchman by OathAlliance 2014-08-26T08:19:00

First off, I really like the description being in character. As well as the fact that the menu/timer is the main character's phone. Super cool!

The concept is pretty neat, although it was a little unclear at first what I was supposed to be doing. The music was really cool, especially how you changed to pitch to make it seem like you had multiple tracks (sneaky sneaky!)

Definitely could be awesome if you have more time to flesh it out (now that LD is over of course)

Incursion by AccountNo17 2014-09-13T16:36:00

Okay game.

FLIP! by SetArray 2014-08-26T02:15:00

Really cool concept. Puzzles were tricky but not impossible. Music served its purpose really well.

I also really liked that the "Level Complete" sign was flipped on the other side, nice touch.

The Twins by Kojan 2014-09-13T15:36:00

Great game!

Connected Islands by Frugle 2014-09-13T16:02:00

Enjoyed it. Could have used some audio though!

TwitForce by GLStephen 2014-09-03T19:48:00

Kept me entertained for a while. Kind of wish there was more variety with the enemies and power ups.

Two Lives by InfamousIntellectual 2014-09-13T15:52:00

The game was okay, but I thought it could've done better if it was a platformer or something. I tend to not like those types of games where you barely contribute to the action and it just tells a story.

Azuroj by Buttsteam 2014-08-26T17:08:00

@sunflower, make sure that the XNA Redist is installed. Or that the correct mono runtime is installed if you're on Mac or Linux

A Glove Between Worlds by coldman 2014-08-26T05:00:00

I like the graphical style. Movement felt a bit clunky and the music kind of grated on me after a while. Overall a pretty cool game!
