While the theme is not really spot-on, the game is really well designed and fun! I kinda wonder how did you make things like the action replay stuff (very meat boy of you) :O
Awesome work!
Holy cow, I love the BW effect. Did you guys make it? Or is it a Unity plugin? Nevertheless, it really made an impression on me. Nice job!!!
Wow...lengthy. The title gave me a good impression! I like the art direction, even though it doesn't match with the theme of the compo. The music gets repetitive after a while and the pacing is sllooooowww. Anyway, nicely done!
Weiiiiiiiird game. Yet fun!
Simple and effective :)
Is it wrong that I like the title screen better than the actual game? haha!
Love the comments from Brian...hilarious!
Curious experiment! Love the aesthetics and the randomness of every creation.
Smooth as hell! I reached over 13000 points and I still wanted to play more. Nicely done!
Thanks a lot for the comments, everyone! :)
I edited the entry text to clarify some things. And also corrected major bugs! Game should be running fine now.
@agmcleod It's a countdown for the meteor. Once it reaches 0, it falls to where the countdown was.
@Brassawiking noted! :)
Sorry! That's a bug I thought I corrected yesterday... i'm at work so I'll correct it this evening. Sorry for the confusion!
@PsenFilip Yeah the background was kind of a rushed thing and an attempt to do something "trippy" lol! But I'm glad you liked it!
Simple graphics and killer gameplay! The objective is kinda hard to learn at first, but after that, it's a breeze. Also I could do without the repetitive music, but that's just me :/
Nice work :)
There should be some restriction on how many drinks should you make for the orders, so that the game would make a better challenge for the player (right now you can make as many things as you want and just place them on the counter whenever). I like it though :)
This game is confusing sometimes...I couldn't pay much attention to the text while playing. Also the level design is not mixed well with the main mechanics (when theres a gap between you and another platform on a higher level, its hard to reach it). Nice work though.
The physics are great, thought they need tuning. Also, that's a killer shader you got there :)
Light effects were cool! The sound effects can be kind of tedious to hear constantly, since they differ too much from the music and atmosphere. Nice job overall!
If only it had some sounds to help with user feedback, the game would be great. Nice mechanics though!
The narrator is a nice touch! although sometimes you go so fast that he can't finish in time lol! I liked the plant area, when you fall on the "leafs" and all. Sometimes the levels were so dark that I had to really focus my eyes too figure out what did I have in front of me. Nice game overall!
It's kind of confusing to play this game; it doesn't have a set objective, items and enemies are not really differentiated and many things happen for no specific reason :/
Serious "Ace Attorney" feelings with this game! I learnt about the whole story and felt tempted to say "sorry this is not Dave" at the end, but I didn't lol!
LOVE the atmosphere and the aesthetics! Game is addicting and the music soothing but the gameplay might need some loosening up. One of my favs so far! :)
The game has its perks, but the fireball shooting needs some adjusting and the final boss needs polishing (you're teleported instantly and when you realize that you don't have time to avoid the boss coming to you).
Game controls well, and the jaws look menacing when they approach you... the rest of the game could use some tuning, specially the music... even pacman has longer loops!
Nice pixelated graphics! Gameplay can get tedious overtime (since you have to wait unitl the sound finishes to click the next object).
Awesome stuff here! It's really difficult to score the ball into the hole...
Aside from that, I love the music change effect when transforming!
Fun game! The aiming controls fooled me for a bit (I didn't notice the jetpack mechanics lol) I like the way it measures your current altitude.
Wow, this game has a really dense background even though the mechanics are so simple! I hope you were aiming for a creepy experience, because if so, you nailed it O_o
Not easy at the first pickup, cute art style though.
Nice game! The narrator gives a very personal feeling to it. :)
Interesting idea, but I don't understand where it ends... I get all the coins and get back to the surface and nothing happens! Maybe you should clarify that a little.
Plus the music is really repetitive...you might want to get a loop that doesn't last only 10 seconds. Overall, pretty good.
Pretty awesome game! The customization features are well thought and balanced. Superb job!! :)
Very nice graphics, but no audio whatsoever... The game could also use some intuition, because making the player figure out the controls is not as simple with a keyboard and mouse as it is with a game controller. still, good job :)
Very cool game! Apparently it's not Chrome friendly, since the framerate is kinda jumpy.
Nice customization features (I dressed as a trekkie with a light saber, trololol!), it's kind of confusing since there wasn't much explanation of what was going on, your objective, etc (inside the game, that is), and that there's little to nothing in the HUD, didn't know how much HP I had left or anything....but it's a cool experiment :)
Interesting and simple idea. Music is repetitive though.
I got dizzy... gets really difficult (and fast!) early on xD
Cool concept... I keep messing the controls though :P
Simple game, doesn't reinvent the wheel lol! Drillo is super cute :D
Can't get past the last 30 seconds. Frustrating but fun! Nice job :D
LOVE the artstyle!! Short and sweet :D
Very accesible gameplay, but with some bugs on the movement, like I once was facing left and when I turned I suddenly appeared a few yards to the right, apparently wanting to hug some of the bugs lol! Pretty good looking game overall :)
Very simple game. Doesn't seem to match the theme. Anyway, nice job!
Nice idea and style, would be best if you could rotate the island with the keyboard, cuz alternating between the steering wheel and the weights can be frenetic at times. Nice job overall.
Cool 2.5D world, music is repetitive...
I can see the intention of this game, but the rules are kinda confusing. Good job with the mechanics tho.
Very atmospheric... Most of the stuff I have issue with has already been said by others (REALLY precise collision detection, unfair random object placement), but overall, I like the feeling of the game! :)
Cool concept, but sloooooooow game. Nice job overall!
Frenetic and confusing, lol! Interesting mechanics, might need some polishment.
The camera is really sensitive huh! One little swipe will feel like a rollercoaster ride. Plus on the first stage, I climbed that lone wall up to the top, and the shark kept going...and like Sandra Bullock in Gravity, I was lost in an empty space. Boundaries man!
W.T.F. am I playing O_O
Creepy! Loved the RE4 shooting mechanics (not being able to move while aiming LOL) hahaha! ;P
Very trippy indeed! My one complaint is the music... I had to mute it within 1 minute of playthrough...
Its a cool idea all around!
What am I supposed to do? Some people are walking, some others are floating...Then you touch one of them and nothing happens, and sometimes you randomly "die" (turn the camera 90 degrees to the right).
I'm confused. Dazzled with the bloom effect, but confused.
Looks good, but the physics get in the way of the gameplay. It could use some other background to help orientate yourself.
Hahahaha! Solubility! Genius xD
A little bit unforgiving, but charming game!
I like the 2.5D visuals: 2D graphics and 3D background. You should have added more stuff to it! Love it overall :)
Wow! Me en-can-ta! Muy bonito el mensaje final :')
Uno de mis favoritos de este LD, sin duda!
Repetitive music, the physics of the objects didn't help much, and the hidden quest is nearly impossible because of its unbalanced difficulty. Nice going, but polish it up more next time!
Haha, nice concept! Music was kind of repetitive, but I like it overall!
I found a bug, where sometimes you start a level on top of someone sunbathing and you can't move. Nice job though!
Simple mechanics and clear objective, cool game. It's missing some music!! Also some hazards, you can't just lie on the durability of the driller.
Good idea overall, could've used some sound effects!
Also I think I found a bug in the water stage, I went to the left most area, and my ship disappeared...
Not a clue of what I was playing, but nice concept!
Very nice platformer, loved the on-going story, the glitch effect and the music! I don't see any connection to the theme though, nor do I see some sort of resolution. Hopefully you'll do a postmortem!
Cool idea, but it needs music!
Nice concept, yet confusing! By constantly switching my focus between the mini map and the main screen, I usually get lost...
Does more for the shoot-em-up genre than it does for the theme of the jam.
The music doesn't loop...so I was fighting the boss in total silence.
I do like the "galaga" treatment and the references to Firefly (the main guy looks too much like Mal Reynolds and the ship looks like Serenity).
Love the "radar" effect of the eyes-closed mechanic. Great idea overall!
I would have put some sort of transition between levels, the change is too sudden! haha
@tutelagesystems Thanks for the feedback! That bug with the Survival Score is now fixed :)
I like how you change the instruments of the music depending of which character you are playing, nicely done!
Simple and effective! Love the glow effect and the ethereal aesthetic :)
Got stuck with the guy who loves old things... but I already traded the sacred processor and i think i didn't have any options...
Nevertheless, I like the design of the robots. That "Seal the deal" is meme material xD
Nice game, can get a bit frustrating cuz you try to select the first end of a call you want to establish but if you select the next one (that just finished a call), the game thinks you want to select that as a first end of a call, so you have 2 "first ends" and you need to deselect them and start over.
Nevertheless, I like the concept :)
Very beautiful game, both the narrative and the visual effects are really well done. I fail to see the connection to the theme though, but I feel the game already shows a lot of personality by itself!
Nice artwork! The game is really chaotic and just puts you in the spot with little room to react. The game has several rules to follow (dont stay in one world too long, only one kind of attack will affect the enemies, etc) but you won't be able to get a grasp of it until the 5th time you try it.
Charming game! I need to strategize my moves before I do anything hahaha! I like it overall!
Couldn't finish it. Character is slow, the worlds are big, and you can't run. Plus there's hardly any direction to take! That only confuses the player.
Also I fail to see the connection with the theme of the jam. Maybe you meant to represent it with the teleportation that the protagonist does to get to that "out of buisness" place, but I don't know if that is the best representation.
These people are stubborn, couldn't get them to move where I wanted no matter how I tried. Cool concept!
Well it's kinda hard to notice when something is good or bad in this game. I could understand that the jellyfish should be bad, but a balloon doesn't look threatening :/ So the tone of the game is confusing. Good narrative tho.
Liking the concept, although the music is really confusing and loud!
Cool concept and nice puzzles! :)
Haunting aesthetics and music. The game is simple and accessible enough to pull you in until the finish. Good job!
Nice little game, the pacing can be kinda slow (I couldn't get to the end, maybe the desert grid was too big and therefore it would take a lot of time repeating the same task in order to fill up the entire desert in green).
I do like the music and the aesthetics! :)
Could've used more polishment on the game feel and the audio. Nice idea, but it might need extra time to get to the point it's trying to make!
Interesting concept! Kinda hard to play by myself, but there's some good potential on this game! Also you should disable the star's collider, cuz it still plays the "ding" sound if I approach the area where it was again.
Cool concept and nice execution but the game lacks sound effects!
Doesn't have any music and the game is not really engaging...nice interpretation of the theme though.
I kept thinking this is one of those games where they trick you into playing a maze game and then scare you! hahaha
Nice execution and style! The first few levels can get a bit boring, though.
Nice idea, I like the page transition effect (although it could've used a little bit more polish) and the continuous change in the music, but the loops in every level are so short that listening to them can get really tedious over time.
Getting odd Katamari and Wario Ware vibes from this game. I don't get how it deals with the Connecting Worlds theme, but I like it!
Nice game overall, but it needs to some visual guidance to help the player know how much health does the plane have, how long do the power ups work, etc. Also the "weird time manipulating power" doesnt show up...and I don't really know how it looks, so I got stuck on the first level.
Love the fusion between the aesthetics and the music! The game is simple and challenging enough to keep me going. Fantastic work!
Heh, this is one way of "Connecting worlds" I didn't think of. Nice job :)
Cool idea, but I don't find the controls really comfortable. Plus it lacks music :(
Might have been better with some sound. Cool idea, but it needs better implementation.
The atmosphere is daunting...love the idea. A bit misleading tho, since from the beginning you think that the voodoo doll shouldn't be pierced. Plus the keyboard controls function by themselves, so interacting with the doll is less immediate than the keyboard controls.
It could've used a little more variety, but the overall result is top-notch :)
Wow! Love the game overall! Very polished and executed, and the music is super fitting to boot! Normally I don't bother with puzzles like these, but I got so hooked, I went and finished all the levels! Definitely one of my Top 5 of this Jam! :)
This game taught me that cats can be bad, even when they are dead haha! Got a lot of déjà vus of Ghost Trick, not that it's a bad thing!
Awesome idea! The puzzles are really well made and the game feels polished. Congrats!
Nice idea, but i'm not gonna destroy my mouse. No matter how cute those cats look.
Nice idea! Some of the segments are hard to react to (I didn't know I could crouch!)
Really nice presentation, but it has some technical flaws, specially when dealing with a lot of stuff on-screen (dancers, particle systems and flowers), where the frame rate drops significantly. Plus the long lasting playthrough can get boring since nothing else happens during, other than having more dancers show up.
Not a bad idea, but its kinda hard to understand...
The title screen breakout is total eye candy, I thought that was the actual game!
Ok this made me chuckle xD
Not really suitable to the theme of the LD, but the artwork is really good nonetheless.
Nice idea! No audio makes it a bit dull, but I like its intentions!
Instead of going from level to level, you generate a new one over the existing one. Good thinking :)
Me recuerda parece un mix entre Monkey Island y los juegos de PC de Mortadelo y Filemon, no se porqué xD
Buena idea! Aunque no pasa mucho en la pantalla y hay sobrecarga de información...
Love how the character inadvertently rolls! Was that by mistake or design? Haha!
Very nice idea for this LD! Havent tried the game as multiplayer, but I see the potential!
Very cool game! Felt like a NES GTA with Backstreet Boys music in the background haha!
Good idea! I had a bit of fun playing it, but the music sounds a bit boring...
I only lasted until level 3 :(
Great idea, fits the theme and presents a good challenge!
Very mysterious looking game. Nice lighting effects! I can see how the level was more intended for multiplayer use, but you still do a good job spawning different types of enemies!
Web version doesn't show the main menu! :(
Please fix that!
Ooooh a pinball game! Good execution and use of the theme.
Nice idea, but its implementation could be better.
I think it lacks some sort of highlighting when it comes to reading orders. A lot of text but most of it is vague. It also doesn't help when time passes while you are reading said orders... and there is no indication of what potion you should make for them.
Also, I found a bug when restarting, the music is played twice!
While the game could use some music, its a really nice idea. Plus the rainbow trail looks great :)
