Some of these sections seem impossible. :|
More checkpoints, or easier jumps would help.

I was worried I wouldn't be able to run this one. I got it up and running but I was colliding with invisible hitboxes, so I assumed I was missing a dependency. :D
I laughed when I realized the rock paper scissors battles are fake.
@GertJohnny - and some are extremely bad ;)
Come on, some characters lose every time.
You deserve it, great job!
I beat it! I doubt many will, though. Those walljump challenges are unforgivable. What I thought was a cute and easy Metroidvania suddenly turned into I Wanna Be The Guy. :|
The meat and potatoes here were outstanding." - agreed. There's definitely a solid foundation here. Detonating bomb pillars was a fun goal in itself.
The upgraded weapons leave too soon. I believe the upgraded weapons would feel more powerful if they were given more permanence, although maybe I am too entrenched in the genre's tropes.
And thank you for making binaries. A few people have just uploaded their Python source and I haven't been able to play. ;)
Wait, what was his treasure? I missed it!
5/5 cuteness
Success! I didn't think I could beat it. I DO feel good about myself.
I got the ghost octet! Lots of murder in LD 29 ;)
You got my first, and likely last, 5/5 in all categories. : O
Funny parody of the source game.
Wow! I understood it immediately. How did you get so many types of rescue units working in 48 hours?
Wow at this - sick the aliens on the little girls.
You Win font is incredible.
PLOT HOLE!!! :O
USSR develops incredible propulsion technology to get to Neptune, but uses leftover sandwich bags for the space suits.
The other kind of puzzle platformer. Good idea.
5:47/126 - I figured out how to find things without excavating a whole region near the end of the game. :|
How did I fall for Ctrl+W? :U
Wow, I didn't even notice the END message at first.
The farmers are just trying to find their needle.
Nice look!
I believe the difficulty ramps up too slowly.
Whose game can top this game's art?
I adored this - the best puzzler.
I beat it! (With step-by-step help from the author)
The two puzzles are ungodly tough, but its pleasant storybook appearance won me over. There is even world-building with the bunny linguistics, however it is so well-hidden that likely no players will discover on their own.
How do we proceed without killing the children?
Can't move. Did I get eaten?
I'm getting major Operation Neptune vibes here! Was this intentional?
Successful demake of horror genre. Unique sprites for each shooting angle - great touch. Usually people just rotate the sprite, which wouldn't work with your big pixel style.
What a twist!
PS: Give a guy some attack range ;)
394 - WR! ;)
This game makes a lot of sense - pecking along the grain, etc
I'm loving all of the short Metroidvanias in this jam
Why is slow mo so fun?
27159 - world record! : O
I'd like to see this with an elongated player worm!
That surfer is a real pro
This was a game. :)
Twist ending?
2 seaweed - World Record!
5/5 mood
Everybody loves the minecart levels in Donkey Kong Country! I think this would be more fun if, like in DKC, the challenge was to stay on the track, rather than dodging rocks.
Guten tag!
"And if you die, well that would be annoying, wouldn't it? We haven't had a save since before the final boss fight"
Come on, you know what you're doing! I'm not going to keep brute forcing this until I finish it :|
Hey guys, I figured out how to break blocks.
There is another Mario clone where you fall through the floor most of the time. You got ground detection down ;)
I got 9 flowers before I got stuck in a wall. Amazing amount of secrets in this game.
Reveal command is key here. It was the only thing standing in the way of me completing this without help. Lots of different directions time travel could take in a text adventure. Maybe the player travels to the stone age to find the now tapped out cuerlium.
A story-driven runner game is something I haven't encountered before! I believe this is held back by its difficulty. Some sections seem impossible, which is compounded by framerate dips and sparse checkpoints.
I know I've fucked up when the island is perpendicular to the water.
Wow, I feel TERRIBLE :|
Woo, I beat Level 4! Level 2 was the hardest because I didn't notice the powerup blocks.
5/5 humor
A representative screenshot would attract more attention, I think ;)
I await the email!
World Record - 10! :D
(Okay, I figured it out on the second try)
MS Paint? Amazing.
Cute!
Cool! Control +F kept popping up. Was that intentional to increase the challenge?
I'm guessing this is a geography game. Unfortunately, I do not speak Malay(?) or know a single province of Indonesia, so I cannot play. :(
You fooled us all.
AMAZING dialogue.
Presentation is perfect. Nice pun ;)
Figured it out, finally.
I believe I have the world record: 4
Can anyone dethrone me?
I'm sorry, I am too dumb to play this. :|
Tossing arrows feels GREAT
I had a feeling you were pulling a Cohen ;)
Presentation is perfect.
One critique: Dodge seems useless, as evidenced by my running attacks hitting enemies while they dodge. The dodge is shorter than attack ranges, and is even shorter while running. I might be better off just running backwards.
I believe this might be greatly improved by increasing ball speed and shrinking the playing area vertically. The player spends a good deal of time waiting for the ball to return, especially if it makes it past the last row.
I did the last level like five times wondering what I was doing wrong, haha.
Open GOOD%20END.txt
Story was incomprehensible, but I have never seen anything like that before. You get a 5/5 for innovation. Hideo Kojima, is that you?
I have found food, but have yet to find a single person
My high score is 825. I want you to literally beat me at my own game. ;)
@Shigor, Yeah, I am sorry for leaving it out. I felt really sick during the submission day and didn't complete a lot of the features I should have included. In-game restarts, visual cues, and destruction/transformation animations were on the agenda. My biggest regret is not providing a tutorial of some sort. The gameplay is extremely abstract and it would have helped to shallow the learning curve.
If I ever decide to iterate on this game, I will definitely include these :)
Thanks everybody!
PS, I just played my game for the first time since upload. I've improved a bit :)

Massive memory leak. Unity Player was consuming nearly 2 GB by the end of that run.
I normally hate the Wilhelm Scream, but it's perfect here ;)
Am I supposed to fall through the floor? Haha. I really can't tell if this is a bug or I'm playing I Wanna Be the Guy. I think it's a feature, though - Flappy Bird, esque. 5/5 Fun and Humor
I have always been fascinated with laser chess but have never actually played. This is the closest I've come. It's still as cool as I envisioned. I would have liked some harder puzzles!
I made it to level 6 - wow this is hard.
This is the most fun of all that I've played. The reversals are brilliant.
Animations are too cute!
It says there's music. Is it Chrome only?
I survived the deep!
World Record - 43200! : D
Great pun ;)
SFX are 5/5
Humor 5/5
Is there a goal?
I'm jealous of your destruction animations :)
Whew, I beat it! The penguin seemed to be magnetized to a random direction - this increased the difficulty tremendously. Cute level transition.
Wow
Hilarious!
The increasing height of the gradients as you descend expresses the sense of depth quite well.
I have to agree, the jumping is tough to work with. I played another game with a similar issue during this compo, and I couldn't complete his (I beat yours :] )
I believe platformers feel best when they are partially modeled on basic Newtonian mechanics. It appears that you are instantly flipping the player's velocity when he reaches the apex of his jump. It will feel much nicer if the player slows down as he reaches the apex of his jump, then accelerates on the way down until reaching terminal velocity. From there, playing with the constants is all that is needed to find the right "feel."
Combo matches are scary.
Swapping tiles so they fall off - I like this.
I'm jelly of those jelly animations. Difficult game for the colorblind.
How do I progress after picking up an item? The game seemingly stops.
The game is kinda scary with the flashlight disabled :|
We need the KNEE
You made a game! :)
What are katana and cannon?
Rolling around is surprisingly effective. I'm not supposed to dispose of the cookies, am I? ;)
Loved it, played it early on
Smashing through the ice looks awesome!
