Only One Robot... or may be Boss? by Smirnov48 2013-12-22T18:59:00
Good attempt at a platformer, though the controls felt a bit floaty.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → Daveloper

Good attempt at a platformer, though the controls felt a bit floaty.
Fun game, the music matches the environment and the mood that it tries to create. only caveat would be the level design, sometimes involves a lot of walking which detracts from the puzzle solving element.
My sheep is dead!
I love this game, graphics, animation and sound all very well done.
Good presentation of the mechanics through a slow build up and clear and concise text for the bits that need it.
Very nicely done.
nice idea, adding your number to the board made for some interesting puzzles.
Feedback: movement feels a bit sluggish.
Good point and click, the color choice helped set the mood and making the art minimal reminded me of experiencing vague memories.
I like the idea of multiple endings, gave a glimpse in the 'what if' scenario's most of us ponder.
Only bit of feedback is that I expected to collect all the items, instead of choosing one. perhaps you can communicate that more clearly next try
Good try, didn't have any game breaking issues with it.
Nice idea, liked the camera control. Kept it nice and focused.
It was a bit jarring that I had to rebuy my pickaxe/gun/boots if I wanted to use them.
Good attempt, though I'd prefer it if the paddle moved faster.
Good attempt at the theme. though it wasn't quite clear how you would need to use your only missile.
I liked the presentation in comic form, gave the game more flavour. good presentation of the multiple devices you can use. though I wouldn't have used message boxes, but that's for the next jam ;) Platforming was a bit floaty, but felt decent enough.
Had the feeling it took some inspiration from 'Papers please' but that's only a good thing. Slow presentation gave the game more depth and didn't feel rushed, kudo's on that. The one character for words and names reflected the worker's inability to look outside his work, felt like that drove the point home.
Oh and, yyyy you. ;)
Very good attempt, giving the player only one attempt at an ability felt very sokoban to me, this is a very good twist on that concept. Nicely done!
The story fell a bit flat, the characters felt out of place with their seemingly unknown reason to help each other out, but perhaps I couldn't progress further to find out. Good attempt though and easily remedied through rework and polish.
Felt very inspired my Slenderman, though the sound effects almost had me feeling of a horror game if it weren't for the orchestra hits which felt a bit out of place and comical.
The game would've been easier on the eyes if the webpage background was also black. Red text on a black background is not easy to read unless you really up the font.
Good attempt at a horror game.
Interesting concept, though the sliders overwhelmed me.
Technically a proficient text based adventure game. Though the broken english, odd dialogue and a plot that needs polishing didn't allow me to enjoy this game very much.
The gameplay feels a bit broken, perhaps the bugs restricted the game from communicating it's design. lesson learned!
Nice top down shooter, sound effects matched well to the visual design. functionally correct as well, didn't find any bugs.
I say, jolly good fun.
Only feedback would be that the glove physics were a bit finicky, otherwise fun two player game
I feel like there are some elements missing which would've completed the game, probably time constraints. I liked the uncle interaction.
Liked the art, though it did feel like I was loading more bullets into my gun when it was only one. Nontheless I loved the presentation and the gameplay was well rounded.
I liked the gameplay concept, though it didn't feel quite balanced enough because sometimes it's impossible to jump higher because of missing platforms.
Nice platformer, the controls are bit floaty but feel better then other submissions I've played.
The game lagged alot for me so I couldn't get to really play it. minimalist style seems nice.
Good attempt at the theme, though the difficulty didn't scale leaving the experience a bit lackluster.
Interesting idea of using the wires to create traps.
Functionally a good top down shmup, however the sheer amount of bullets and modes that you could switch between makes the game to unwieldy to really have fun with.
Nicely done, enjoyed playing this game.
Very nicely done, the input felt satisfying and the jumping felt very good, which is rare in all the submissions i've played. very good.
Too bad it it's not done, but that can always be fixed in the next ludum dare. I liked the depth perception, I think your next submission is going to be great.
Very nicely drawn and animated, though the gameplay felt like hitting my head against a brick wall.
Nice attempt at a graphic novel game, funtionally working which is something I can't say about a lot of submissions, well done.
Nicely done, simply but well implemented.
I wasn't quite sure what was expected of me, could've used more guidance.
Incredible art (did you use hexels for this?) and the sound for the opera singers was unique and interesting. In light of the other incredible features the actually game falls a bit more on it's face then it should. It wasn't clear to me until the 2nd try what I was supposed to do. communicating my possible actions would've fixed a lot in presenting this intersting gameplay idea.
The game feels a bit complex from the start and didn't quite communicate the impending doom that those yellow orbs represent, personally I dislike games which have a full page of text for a tutorial, perhaps slowly guiding the player into the process could've pulled more people in.
Good attempt, the concept is interesting but I couldn't see it implemented really well.
Good attempt, didn't find any bugs or functional problems. Though the game was very surreal, I couldn't find a pattern or an expectation of what the game wanted from me because of it.
Nice platformer, only remark I have was that the difficulty curve ramped up to fast.
Fun little top down shooter, though the initial screen confused me as what I needed to do and/or click
Very nicely presented, nice non text tutorial helps me get in to the game, though I could not pass the first enemy.
Good portrayal of the lose-lose situation that politics usually represents.
Excellent work on this one. Graphics, art and gameplay knock it out of the park. you can be proud of this one.
Excellent visuals and very nice concept using the theme. I did however find a bug: I died while firing and on respawn was unable to move or fire. The counter also counted down from 10 to 0 over and over again.
I just thought I would mentioned in case you'd like to fix it for a future update :)
Making a local multiplayer game is a risky maneuver since most reviewer play by themselves, but I can see this gameplay concept be very fun, nice job.
It felt a bit disjointed, the black transitions didn't occur to me as new game but as a cutscene or a piece of exposition.
the mechanic of have one option to survive each new scenario is an interesting one and well implemented, it only needed to be communicated a bit better.
Interesting concept, but infuriating to play. Feels like a slot machine. If you tweaked the concept further it would've played better in my opinion.
Brilliant idea. only remark I have is that sometimes it didn;t recognize a correct shot, but awesome nontheless!
Very well done, the """""game feel""""" was great. Shooting the minigun and killing the zombies was visually and aurally enjoyable. well done.
The cyberpunk atmosphere is very present, the art is unique and had a contributed to the atmosphere. If you like turn based games, this would be pretty good with some more polish and sounds effects.
Fun little side scrolling action, nice sprite working and good game feel (good animation and sound mixture).
I did find the initial puzzles to be a bit tricky, but that could be my ludum dare exhaustion. ;)
Very nicely done, excellent polish on the whole game experience (menu's felt logical and difficulty curve was pleasant) the only feedback I have is that chiptune music doesn't quiet fit with the non pixel art.
I liked the retro feel of the presentation. Game was functional, which is a rare thing in some jam. like the presentation. Text and information was also well represented.
The narrator was Joonas Turner(@kissakolme):)
Thanks for the kind words, everyone!
@victorygarden: thanks for the kind words!", but there is in fact ambient sound throughout the game, with ambiences changing between rooms; the first room of the game is the only exception to this and is intentionally silent.
@Kristof Thanks for the kind words! Making interactive items clearer is the highest priority in fixes for an updated version of the game. Thanks for the constructive feedback :)
@actionremix if you look closely on the final image of the outro, you'll see it.

A creative and well presented idea. The use of sound as feedback for executing platforming correctly works well and makes the experience more engaging. Excellent work :)
Nice submissions Eniko, I like the use of color as a gameplay mechanic
I like the concept and it's visual presentation, however the controls make the game difficult to fully enjoy.
A good effort overall though :)
A good effort for your first ludum dare, and especially considering you are new to unity. Keep on studying and making games :)
Nice idea, well presented.I can't help but feel that the number of enemies increases too quickly. Good effort though :)
Fun game! Drilling across the levels was enjoyable, enjoyed the cutscenes too!
I got a Jazzpunk feel from this, which is a good thing! Interesting concepts but they're well implemented.
The game has a nice sombre atmosphere; thanks to some rather eerie ambience, however the gameplay isn't very engaging.
I feel that the platforming could benefit from having a dynamic jump height, determined but how long the space key is pressed i.e the shorter the amount of time the key is pressed, the shorter the jump height.
Other than that, a well presented effort :)
Fun game, just needed a bit of in game explanation.
Great idea, I loved the idea of a platformer snake. Nicely implemented as well!
Nice submission, controlling the player felt a bit odd, moving and picking up then holding the button threw me off for a bit.
A somewhat straightforward concept, but very well presented; both visually and aurally. The sound does a great job at creating a rather melancholy atmosphere and makes the game richer for it. Very nice work :)
Apparently the dropbox is missing the file :(
Nice game! Only remark I would have is that the melting animation takes a bit to long
Well written, painted an interesting environment.
Nice submission, all the different bars confused me for a bit, but that'll pass with time.
Very well done, kept me hooked to find out what happens. Exceptional mood
Great submission, really enjoyed the anxious ghost state when the monster is close!
The doors introduce a nice hectic feeling but never feels to hard to beat.
Very relaxing and fun. The protect and feed phases of the game complement each other well.
