Seven days is my best playthrough. A well made compo entry.
It's quite hard to hit him but it's fun and nicely made.
A fun game! I killed all the villagers, destroyed every building and then fell off the terrain but I went down with a boom, I guess.
Nice memory game concept. A very well made entry overall.
Very cool game, one of this compo's best I've tried so far in my opinion. I don't know if it was due to a bug but I happened to have two arrows that I could shoot and collect from dead bodies. Anyway, great game.
I highly enjoyed this. Interesting concept of a game where message is as important as gameplay. Good idea with the unicycle.
Very addictive and fun game. Great audio.
I'm truly sorry, guys. This is my first Ludum Dare game entry and I cannot work it out so the dropbox would play it right in the browser. Adding dl.dropboxusercontent.com instead of dropbox.com doesn't work for some reason. I'm thankful for your interest in my game entry and hopefully you're not angry at me that the link doesn't work. I'm doing my best to get it to work right now.
Thanks, guys for your comments.
ratboy2713: Hence the game's title is Only One Chance! But seriously, a restart button didn't make it into the game because it was already too late to implement it. Now it's restarting like five to ten seconds after you fire from the cannon and don't hit him.
smash ball: I planned a lot of features but as this was my first Ludum Dare in my life I highly underestimated the utilization of time. I may make a deluxe version later on with more features and a restart button. It also lacks some animation where Souperman flies to the screen after you miss the target and then he states that it's a bad idea to try to shoot at him.
Highly enjoying and well-thought-out game. Thumbs up.
It's quite difficult but interesting.
Possibly the best entry in this compo I've played. It's a lot of fun and really well made.
This is absolutely wonderful in every aspect! I can only imagine where you got the idea for this game. Poor scouts, but it's their own fault anyway, am I right?
Really fun game, very cool exploration mechanics. One of my favs so far.
The mood is excellent as it really grabbed me and persuaded me that I'm not in my room anymore and telling me that I'm in this underground and the only way out is by solving the light ray puzzle. The graphics are great as well. I like this kind of games and this one is really well done.
Great idea and even better execution! It has a wonderful atmosphere with the sub going down towards an unknown with not much light surrounding it while a great music is playing. I also like the idea that you do a research using a camera. It's a unique and deep experience. It's sure a keeper (keeping the desktop version)!
Really fun shooter. Although half of the graphics are only raw templates it didn't stop me from playing to the end. Also the controls don't seem to be very polished, as sometimes I couldn't aim properly but I believe it has a great potential and if you work on this (polish the controls, add more graphics and more levels) this can be turned into an awesome arcade shooter game. By the way I highly enjoyed the music!
I must say I highly enjoyed this even though I got lost with the ship. The game concept is pretty awesome, so is the music. Really well done.
Funny game with a nice original idea! Although it seems a little difficult with the Surf Ace always getting full energy. Only got to the third level but hopefully I'll beat it eventually. Really nice!
This is one of the most insane games I've ever played. The graphics are really good but the fact that you can loose body parts and still go (while listening to a music piece that made me really nervous), makes this a really unique and overall absolutely great Ludum Dare entry! The mood is just beyond words. Keep it up!
Visually very interesting piece. Really cool.
Very cool retro styled game with fun gameplay.
This game's an interesting piece. I really enjoyed especially the parts with the rotating rooms!
It's fantastic. The idea, the execution and I also liked the whistling sound. Does anything happen after the "lift off"? I wasn't sure if I should wait or not. Great entry!
This was especially funny when another player appeared, tried to win the game but died instead. Talking as a game mechanic is awesome. Definitely a fun unlike the title of the game.
It reminds me of an old school Atari style gameplay, which is sure nice. It has a unique charm to it. Would be even better if there were more difficult challenges but I liked it overall.
Thanks! I should have included the instructions with the game. You press any key when you need to speed up. Press any key when the Inuit guy is touching the ice block and lift the key only when you are right above the penguin to eliminate him so he cannot get into your igloo.
Great fun, very good job.
What a cool concept. I can imagine a whole game with many different levels based on this idea (with other challenges to make it always fresh) so go for it if you're thinking about making this as a bigger game. It was fun and I enjoyed the graphics and music as well.
I enjoyed this thoroughly. But first, it sounds great! The level design of the underwater cave reminds me of the good old days, which I prefer. The physics of the sub is nicely done and the fun factor is definitely there!
Finished it and wow what a fun game this was! Would love to play a longer sequel. The music did add the needed feel of tension. I thought the guards certainly could have done a better job at guarding the ships nevertheless it was so much fun playing this!
Nice little game with a likable character. Good Ludum Dare entry.
A really unique experience. Dark, dark material! Even the music is played backward.
Looks good and plays nice. The robo mice are great! But I always get killed by the orange robot. He's tougher than me! It seems.
This was pretty entertaining. If this had a goal (resulting in a victory end game screen) or a score counter it would be even better. Cool idea with the mole people making sure the Earth is safe. I feel safer after playing this game! :)
This is really fun and very nice made as well. However in my fifth or so try I ended up barely moving and all the fishes and submarines were filling up the bottom part of the screen. from an uknown reason. Then an oil got me. Enjoyed this!
A beautifully made relaxation game that I greatly enjoyed.
The screen looks really good. But it seems the controls are broken, I can't move any of the unicycles, the only thing I can do is jump.
I was trying to catch the deers with dashing only but it seemed too hard. Then I found out about the option of shooting arrows and then it became a lot easier, also more fun. The boss battle is really well made, quite hard as it should be. Looks great overall!
Great concept and haunting atmosphere. Would love to play the post jam version with the added elements!
Interesting concept and entertaining gameplay. I liked the mission success summaries. Nice job!
I'm having a hard time running this game in Windows Vista. Too bad, as the game looks really cool from screens.
I forgot to include instructions with the game, so: SPACE makes the character jump and interact with his surroundings. A is for left and D is for right. There is no music nor sound, sorry about that. I hope you enjoy it!
ponywolf: Thanks for pointing that out. I've added another link. Thanks for playing!
Thank you for your comments, guys! I really appreciate them. You're spot on with the physics - I'll fix it in the post Jam version.
SPOILER
You get to the upper cave by jumping on the fly - you must jump in the air and then hit Space once while touching the fly. In the air you hit Space again and he falls down.
Cool retro style game and I appreciated the difficulty settings with slowing down in hard parts. The music track is great.
I've not been really good at these games where you deal with the stock market, ever. Yep, hard but still kinda cool.
Can you NOT die in this game when you reach the castle? Cute idea nonetheless!
So cool. I really like how the ship moves.
Too bad about the second level missing. Nice ideas.
Fantastic idea, so is the execution. GJ. Got almost heart attack when I was at the first level's end and the kid saw me but I still made it to the next level.
Great, well thought out! Can't see what's behind the finger, that's what is irritating when I play on mobile.
This needs better instructions. Also, if you fall down and move the camera right then the enemies jump down from the cliff. The art is nice, I do like it.
Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. It's comments like these that help developers to grow. I'm gonna make another version of the game, soon, where I'll implement all the ideas that I planned for the game and I will add more based on your comments. The "grass thingies" were part of a game mechanic which I really wanted to have in the game but I didn't make it because of deadline.
Yaroslav Kravtsov: Thanks for your honesty. Well, I welcome any comments. Say even bad things, I want to improve!
Yaroslav: nice idea and I think I will implement it in the next version of the game. It reminds me of certain old platformers where you got near the side of the screen and had to wait for the camera to slowly move so the player was in the center. When this compo began I had an idea for a game where your goal was to find Earth. But instead of moving somewhere with the ship, you had to hit certain objects and only then the camera would zoom out a little bit. It mattered where the objects were hit: if the hit was made in the upper left corner then the camera showed more of the upper left region. On the other hand if you hit a wrong object then it would show less in that region. Each game the Earth is always somewhere else. Don't know if this concept would be fun in the end but I'd like to try it.
I was getting quite bored until the level 14 and then boom. Absolute shock in a fantastic way! Thumb's up.
Haven't ever played a game with an idea like this. It's so cool. Really fun.
An armed Christmas tree againts evil snowmen. I dig that idea. Nice gameplay, too.
