That was actually pretty fun. No idea how I managed to beat it, though, cuz I felt like I was pretty bad at it :P

It felt really satisfying to block an incoming enemy with an attack, and even more so when they then ricocheted into another enemy or two.

Would've been nice to know right off the bat that you needed to kill every enemy in the room to advance, but eh, not that big a deal. Maybe just put a door or something that opens when they all die just so you don't think you can go through.

I think you need to give the player a bit of time before the boats appear. I had already taken a few hits before my worker even started on the tower.

Otherwise, pretty nice. Obviously more variation would be better, but that's an issue a lot of compo games have given the time limit :P

Awesome game!

This is what happens when you buy discounted locks from some shady warehouse guy.

Apparently I have the ability to bring people back from the dead! I couldn't seem to grab the key from the captain the first time, and accidentally left, but I didn't seem to be able to go back through the gate, so I went all the way back around, and he gave me his speech again. Not a huge issue, though.

@flatgub I think you have limited ammo. I think I ran out once, and there are ammo pickups a couple places.

Anyways, great entry!

Also, the lock is busted...

Really nice idea, I like it!

A couple things, though:

First off, I think this game REALLY needs the classic minesweeper 1st click invincibility. During one of my plays, I got most of the way through the maze, got a new board, and proceeded to smack my face into the wall on the first click, and that's pretty frustrating because I didn't do anything wrong, yet I'm being punished for it.

Second, I think that the maze was a little difficult/repetitive. Single wide segments are good, but I think the ones you had were just a tad too long. I think you need to occasionally give the player a little bit of breathing room to relax and be able to make a mistake. I felt the maze was a little repetitive in the fact that I felt like I always needed a left arrow. Most of the maze involves going left. On the other hand, I never cared about right arrows. They were never useful. Now, they wouldn't kill me that often, but they would still set me back a bit. I think a more well-rounded maze would have alleviated that symptom a bit.

Also, I think what would have been nice is if revealing all the green squares activated a button that would give you a new board, so I could still have the option of clicking any remaining arrows I had and wanted you use. Not too big a deal, but would have been nice.

Overall, pretty nice game. I think it just falls short in a couple areas that make it more frustrating than it should be, but they still could be fixed to make this a more enjoyable game.

The rant may sound like I'm hating on your game, but it just makes me kind of sad when a nice idea ends up being blocked by a couple shortcomings.

I think you might have some sort of issue with entity cleanup or something. The game can get really laggy.

First, I started just clicking a lot to shoot a bunch of arrows:

Still, a decently fun game. I did like how you had the "Jumpjuice" meter that was a pretty nice alteration on a standard double jump, allowing more jumps if you just didn't jump as much.

I was a little confused as to what a good strategy was.

Also, at one point both of the customs officers just sat on one of my guys who was holding something and skyrocketed my fine. I got like a $200,000,000 fine :P But I still continued on to the next round...does the fine actually come out of your cash?

I got kinda annoyed at the auto-drop control, especially since I was moving multiple people around and would tend to move them to an intermediate spot before deciding exactly where I wanted them.

But anyways, nice concept! Too bad I suck at it :P

Pretty nice puzzler, could see this expanding.

I must say, though, I really didn't see the point of the "charge" thing at the top. First of all, it took me forever to notice it, and kept getting really frustrated about why I was randomly being teleported back up. Once I did notice it, I spent a lot of time just waiting for the charge to fill back up so I could do something. It also didn't really give you a chance to simply look around underneath and see what was going on.

I also didn't really see a point as to WHY I could only use my powers for so long. As in, there didn't seem to be any point to the restriction. I think it makes it better if there is some reasoning behind why I can only do something for so long. There were not really any puzzles based on doing things underneath quickly, or whatever, and most of the time there isn't really anything you can do without going back and forth, so it just got really frustrating having to sit there until it filled up every 5 seconds.

All in all, I know I'm really ranting about that charge bar thing, but I actually really enjoyed your game and think it could be a great full game! I just hate to see good games ruined by simple frustrating things.

Nice game! It would've been nice to have some things explained, like the fact that the green blocks expanded your snake, but I think the fact that they were surrounded by lava at least draws your attention to them and makes you assume that they do something useful.

I'm glad you only needed two green blocks on level 4, because otherwise I don't think I would've beaten it :P The other two blocks ended up falling to where they probably would have been unreachable for me.

But nice game overall! I wish there were more than 4 levels, but that's pretty good given the time limit.

I think that the movement was a tad too sensitive, though. I'd find myself trying to sort of shimmy towards the edge of a platform and I would just end up jettisoning myself off the edge.

I think one thing that isn't necessary, but I would've liked, is a bouncy-jump. As in, keep jumping if I hold up. Not too huge a deal though.

I think it would've also been cool if you had a floaty-er jump while under water to sort of help you jump higher and get out.

I think one things I didn't like was the fact that the icebergs had giant pixels compared to everything else. It made them feel kinda weird.

Yeah, as others have said, the camera can be a little jerky when you hit something. I'm guessing it's location is based on the speed of the sub, which is set to 0 when you collide? Maybe make it more based on input, or at least a combination? Either that, or have like a "maxCameraSpeed" to say the furthest the camera can move in one frame? I don't know, I'm just throwing out ideas for some reason. Don't mind me.

I have to say, though, Venus is WAY too hard. Even once I found a better approach (go for 2, not 3, and stay away from the core) it still took me a while. There were a couple times I hit every pocket but still didn't have enough resources.

But still, great overall. Especially the newscaster sound effects.

I got a little frustrated at a few points. First off, I didn't realize you could jump to slide up walls. Secondly, I didn't know you could double jump, so getting the red key in the last level was annoying.

I think one complaint I have is the controls. They feel a bit wonky. I feel like hitting the arrow should make me level off in that direction if I hold it long enough.

Like, If I'm going straight up, and now want to go straight right, I want to just hold right. Instead, to go perfectly right I need to hit right to get myself pointed somewhat right, then level myself off with up and down. It just seems a little complicated.

But still a nice game!

Took make a little while to figure out what was going on. I think I figured it out.

I felt that it didn't really spawn enough yellow things. I felt there were long periods of time where I was just sort of sitting there, or just trying to avoid things.

Also, I think it may have been spawning some things off screen, or at least right on the edge. Sometimes I saw a bit of a yellow or red box that was barely on the screen.

I think it started off way too dark. At first, I had no idea what the heck I was doing because I couldn't really see anything.

I liked that your light dimmed over time as your batteries dies.

It felt oddly satisfying to just plow through the upper layers with a fully upgraded drill.

Also, does it only spawn 1 Unobtanium each time? The first time I really looked for it, I got to the bottom of the map and swept back and forth a couple times without being able to find it. I may have confused it with a diamond, though.

Anyways, pretty fun!
