this was freaking hilarious! i love the graphical style, and the whole concept... haha it's too bad it doesn't actually sound cool when you play... and like... you know... go with the beat or something... but that actually makes it more hilarious... hahahaha yeah! :)
this is cool... would prolly like to see different objects and different ways for them to interact with the environment (little walls and stuff, maybe, idk) cool concept tho, very original...

i liked the vibe, and the graphics, while not amazing had a nice analogous color scheme, which I found appealing.
the controls were pretty solid and definitely minimal.

ha,this was pretty fun... i wish it could be full screen, cuz it's kind of easy to click off the screen accidentally and get whacked.
even though you said you didn't like the theme, it kind of fits in that you are "minimalizing" your enemies :D
yes, wall jumping was a bit wonky... prety fun game though.

i couldn't fully play this game... couldn't get the keyboard changing colors to work for some reason.. don't have an xbox controller, unfortunately. ..

hehe, yeah, it's very easy, i'm working on it though. this is my first game I've made in a very long time. I'm mostly trying to figure out how everything works with Unity. I just made it so enemies can shoot at you... that makes it a lot harder :)
(also, obviously, the list of levels have not been implemented yet!)
@geckojsc: yeah that is pretty much a bug. I fixed that and will upload. Also, i made an android port with autofire and accelerometer controls. also... ummm the asteroids in stage 1-2 are supposed to blow apart... not do that thing they do... although that's kind of neat too... sort of.
thanks alex, yes they are supposed to be different colors, i'm not sure what happened with that, but i will fix it for sure. also, i have not spent any time balancing the difficulty. I will do that so that each stage has a nice excitement curve.
yes, the shooting from behind is pretty terrible... I guess I should fix that... at least in the first level! haha.. I definitely wanna keep working on it until it's more balanced.
remember, this is supposed to be like an 80s game. games were much harder back then! :D
HeyChinaski! I definitely want to put in waves of enemies so there is a nice interest curve to the whole game as well as each level...
I hadn't designed it like that at first, the same gameObject was just recycled over and over for each enemy. I need to think about a good way to implement enemy spawning...
right now there isn't even a moving camera (the stars are a particle system)...
ha, yeah, now that you mention it, i'm adding power-ups right now.
haha, damn... there is a boss battle in my head... haha there will be. i started coding a boss battle, but it isn't done yet. I'm definitely gonna get this game in pretty ok status and post it on google play... cuz... why not?

I loved the graphics and all the text and stuff. the controls were unique but a little bit weird and a little too simplistic maybe.
main thing i didn't like was dying and having to start over from the beginning. :P :D
hey, it's ok, i did the same thing pretty much. the theme wasn't speaking to me. All i could think of was "dig-dug clone"... so i made a breakout clone instead... haha
I think it's best to just make a game at all, no matter what it is. Good job getting something out there! :)

thanks for the comments. I worked on the bugs a little bit. When using the mouse, the paddle can still barely go through the wall if you move fast.. but i don't think it ruins the experience, now.
also, i fixed the brick pass-through, but it kind of made another problem, which is sometimes the ball travels in an unexpected direction if it hits two bricks at once.
oh well... haha i gave it the old college try... :)
and yse, i know it has very little to do with the theme. I should have done a dig-dug clone instead, haha
I liked the first level, but when i got to level two, i got horrible slowdown (google chrome). I have a very fast computer too...
nice game, though... and funny name... i was kind of sort of thinking about doing a dig-dugger myself.
cool music, and interesting concept. i didn't really get many extra resources when i played. one island drifted by and then i died.
oh well....
that was pretty cool... it took me a second to figure out what was going on, but after a second it made sense. wondering why everyone jumps when you press the jump button though...

this is really good! the onlly thing i don't like is the 4-way controls. the controls remind me of an isometric version of the original Startropics.
i think 8-way controls and not limiting to standing on a single tile at once would make the game feel better.
