I forgot to mention that the game autosaves at the mailbox screen if you want to come back to it later. :)

Interesting. Not completely sure how to lose, but that's okay! :D I like it!
Thanks for the feedback. The holes are on a timer. If you try for a higher score, you might end up away from the ladder with no way back. Glad you liked it!
I like the sound effects a lot, lol. Especially the "ding ding" I also like the newspaper explanation at the beginning :)
Hahaha One of my friends emailed me and was like "is that Chuck's voice on the rings?". Thanks for playing and the comment.
Mspaint art style is best art style
Personally, I love pixelart. I'm just not good/fast at doing it. Would have needed 48 hours just to animate the dude in pixels :) Thanks for the comment.
Seems like an interesting concept. I found it irritating you didnt know how many "Ding-Ding" coin/rings you had collected, and I got stuck in a room on level 1. I played again and progressed easy enough. PErhaps when you get stuck in a room detect that for the player and provide a 'game over' prompt?
Good attempt though! :)
A little confusing, but also cute game. Sound fx were awesome! :) Really nice!
Love the sound effects made me laugh so much. the "DING DING" was my favorite good job.
Ha every time the guy said he had to go back down, I was like, "Uh no I think you can retire now". Silly man...
I felt a bit lost and didn't fully understand the mechanics. I like the sound effects and I think the option for simple graphics (much better that the ones from my 1st LD) was probably a good one, considering it's your second game.
Congrats on finishing the competition!
Thanks so much for all of the comments! Even if its not the best game out there, I am so glad that people are enjoying it :)
haha, best part of this game was "ding ding"
Awesome voice acting !
"Ding ding"
Tagline: Mr. Anderson decides to rid his debt by collecting golden Sonic rings from within the sink hole near his house. Will he succeed or will he find out his money mosh pit really is the pits?
Ahaha, I actually started drawing them like Mario coins. I guess I shaded the interior too much and went more for a sonic ring :)
As far as sounds, I do not know much about sound engineering. With the time constraints I just hit record and started making noises. I was most surprised at the rumble sound. Even though it was me making grumbly noises, it doesn't sound bad. :)
Oh my. I hope that's not what's going on beneath my house. "ding ding"
I like the "ding ding"s. :)
Alright. I finally got the time to play your game. It's pretty simple, but that's not necessarily a bad thing at all. The graphics could've been better, but they did what they were there for. They were much more professional than mine at least.
As all the others, I liked the sound effects XD
You captured the theme. One issue I'm having is that the gampelay became a bit boring after a while. It would have fun to have seen more elements and mechanics put in to play as you progressed. Still, the game was decent, and pretty enjoyable.
Good job!
Thanks for the feedback. I definitely planned on having more things happening. When I finally debugged as much as I could, there were 3 hours left. Instead of trying to add new things and possibly destabilizing it, I went for submission :)
Awesome sound effects :D
not a bad little game! awesome sounds haha
Sound and concept are really awesome! I had a bit of trouble getting the guy to go where I pointed, though. Would've liked to have a display that counts how many rings I collect, too.
Simple looking, but very fun game! I included it in part 22 of my Ludum Dare Compilation video series! :) http://youtu.be/7oB_8pUypJo
Thanks for the comments.
Jupi got greedy in the video. The ladder was right there :P
