LD25 — You are the Villain

Another Castle by RosyPenguin 2012-12-19T05:40:00

Sorry, Mario, looks like this princess...

LD45 — Start with nothing

Poor farmer by Hadik 2019-10-20T03:53:10Z

Haha, I thought it was kinda slow at first too, so I planted a bunch of fields... it got so hectic I couldn't keep up anymore! I had a little bit of frustration having to run back and forth whenever I had to harvest fields. Got a crash and tried again. The second time, I learned to throw wheat in groups instead of running, and it became less frustrating and more fun - part of learning to game the game  My little farmer might be poor but he'll have really buff arms :muscle:

Controls: I felt a little awkward using the suggested AWD to move and Q/E but I'm glad you could also use arrow keys to move and left hand for menu controls. It felt a lot better that way.

There wasn't music, but it pretty much gave me the option to play some bgm of my own (heh, try with some Octopath music!), the game would have been perfect with it :)

Healthy Competition by Elemental Zeal Game Studios 2019-10-20T03:29:59Z

I also echo previous 2 comments- expected to be able to move backwards and still keep slashing in the same direction (though, after the first few times, figured out you can just tap-attack-strafe). The tomato monsters were pretty challenging- I never got consistent with it, but I like that theoretically you can ward off or even reflect the projectiles back (maybe have the projectiles just reverse velocity when they get hit?). I thought it was cool that your attack state/animation would freeze when you dashed so I'd do a joust attack-dash with the broom.

Lots of potential here, was pretty fun :D

FOREST NINJA WIZARD GHOST by johnnysix 2019-10-20T04:48:17Z

Not sure if it's just because I'm colorblind but it was frustrating not being able to tell what you could or couldn't jump on (trees especially). Audio, graphics, and mechanics really come together pretty well - the pixel art is great, and the darkness mechanic + frantic music work well together with it all.

...I just realized the landing/jumping sounds are literally drum sounds. I thought the music was just going all sorts of crazy-drum solo for the frantic feel but it was literally being fed by my character running away from cats. Intentional or not, I think that works really well together for mood.

Post-jam version: Pretty fast paced - I didn't know you couldn't die at first so I was running for my life  eventually, I played at a slower pace to move all the cats to the floor and away from the house and ninja-jumped across the top.

Being able to pretty much jump onto any tree in post-jam (as well as dropping down) felt really good though!

LD46 — Keep it alive

Extinction Intervention by rosypenguin 2020-04-24T00:46:49Z

@peachtreeoath Thanks! I can hear a little of where it feels a little bit like (or you can even insert) MM2 Wily's theme, but strangely enough (according to my music layer names), the music was inspired by Chips Ahoy and Teen Titans.

...I'm not really sure if I can explain it more than that

LD52 — Harvest

It was all for the Tuna by rosypenguin 2023-01-17T23:21:25Z

[Post-Mortem Part 3: Audio](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/52/it-was-all-for-the-tuna/it-was-all-for-the-tuna-post-mortem-3-audio) has been posted! Some of you have correctly identify some features (adaptive music layers when upgrading), bugs (overly loud audio), and other issues with the audio that I do go over in the post-mortem

Also if anyone's interested in hearing the intended music balance or downloading the song, it's on [SoundCloud](https://soundcloud.com/tenlki/it-was-all-for-the-tuna) for free.

Thanks for playing our game!

LD53 — Delivery

Grav Garb by Alchemic 2023-05-19T21:43:42Z

I really liked the audio in this game!

Trying to deliver Human Heart was one of the most difficult things I've had to do LOL.

The generation makes for a lot of "come up with your own solution" situations... I've dived out of zone to speed boost past a field of debris. It was a lot more tactical of a game even though my brain kept telling me it should be a race

I liked it!

After Curfew by machinescreen 2023-05-19T22:38:07Z

Getting captured made me jump IRL - that moment of capture feels so viscerally frightening

"You do a lot with a little here" above feels so right - the art, audio, and gameplay come together to create an atmosphere that is so mysterious and menacing. Well done!

This was certainly one of the most unique games I've played! I was honestly getting into my email-searching mode while trying to solve the puzzle! Really cool takes with fleshing out the characters through their email interactions, and any awkwardness is easily explained by the fact that you're hacking into an old email client. I love it

Dungeonfalls by Majadroid 2023-05-19T22:11:32Z

It reminds me a little bit of Lemmings in a way! The music was very relaxing and planning out + building the path and timing it for the wizard's movements was fun! One of my personal favorites for this jam - the art is clean and pleasing and the music sets a relaxing puzzle-solving mood :)

Postominoes by Rawb 2023-05-19T22:44:29Z

My dad recently started working at a post office and this was surprisingly relevant  The strategy of both packing the boxes and running the routes to unpack them with minimal shuffling of boxes felt very true to reality and also fun  Very nice relaxing feel from the audio, really made me wanna stick around and keep delivering :stuck_out_tongue: Nicely done!

Delivering Better Worlds by T C 2023-05-19T21:01:19Z

I was just playing tetris at first but started to get the hang of trying to match the backgrounds and aiming for points instead of "cleaing" lines haha. Clever and I played through the game a few times trying to get a better score

Delivery Is EVERYTHING by SephoWepho 2023-05-19T22:56:51Z

This was so well done! I like how you used the animalese to sound out the words that were being typed, (I think!).

;) Saw the shout out to It Was All For the Tuna and other really memorable games

honestly unique and fun to play with the touch of your own humor and writing, nice job!

Yuki's mystery by Sevla 2023-05-18T05:05:45Z

Creepy (in a good way)! I don't think I've ever played a horror game from a game jam so this was refreshing. It's hard for me to describe the feeling, but it had me anticipating something, so I wanted to keep going to see how it ended
