It took me a few tries, but I made it to the end! I only saved the world for another four years though. :weary:

I like it! The controls are simple yet intuitive. Adjusting the selection with the mouse wheel gave a lot more precision, that was good call. Bridges killed the most people for me, but once I figured out how to line up most of them I was able to manage it.

Overall, the sprites convey a lot of information without much detail, which is good. The sprite work for the obstacles have a lot of contrast and helps you decide what to do just from a glance. The Great Deity sprite is actually really nice, I was almost surprised how detailed it was compared to the rest. The music is also good, one of the better songs I've heard from the jam so far. The marching theme fits the gameplay and overall tone of the game really well, great job!

Overall, great job to everyone involved!

Good game: is kind of easy if you focus on one minion but it become challenging fast if you try to star a group

It starts with a great concept and a good control scheme, is fleshed out with perfect pixel art and good music, and is buffed by a lot of smart design choices. A genuinely great jam game!

Fun twist on the endless runner genre, but the unfortunately controls made the game almost unplayable with a touchpad. I can imagine it could be fun on phone, though!

loved the ending, no complaints - great work!🌋

Really cool concept! Moving the runners around felt really fluid and smooth, and it was generally fun trying to manage the chaos of all of them bumping into each other! And the "final sacrifice" gag at the end got a laugh out of me, as I directed my minions into the lava pit.

I do think this idea would be better served a series of shorter levels though, because I ended up losing all but 3 of my runners, and then the game became trivially easy to manage (Because they all fit together in one group). I didn't really want to replay to get a better score after this, because I knew that I'd probably end up getting culled down to three runners again without a *lot* of practice, just because of how long each level is.

GREAT GAME

If I saved the world for 4 years twice, does that make the world safe for 8 years?

 I really liked how the people were very high contrast with the rest of the terrain making it easy to spot them, when you are in need of frantically moving them around.

:bug: During then ending -- before the doors open -- you can send you followers off of the bottom of the screen and they will die. (it will still count them, so it's a pretty low impact bug... maybe a good sped trick ^_^).

:point_right: I was very hard to manage more then a few people (maybe just on a laptop trackpad, a mouse or ideally a phone might have made it easier).

:star: Overall great job. Thank you for making this!

Really good ! Gamefeel was top notch, graphics did their job really well. There was a big clarity in the visuals (contrast between gameplay elements) and that really helps the game. I had a lot of fun :)

I hope you get all the votes to qualify !

Really fun. Great controls but can become really hectic... Especially crossing bridges was really hard!

Funny thing though, I played it twice and the second time I accidentally ran into a house. I was completely surprised that you actually want to run into those. :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

That was not clear at all... Most likely the other people like @ild-games-llc did not notice that either. Before I noticed that I was actually going to propose to have more people join along the way so it stays hectic...

Wow! This was AWESOME! If you make this into a iOS-game I would definitely play it regularly! This was great! And innovative. The art was really nice and fitting and theme-wise you nailed it! I hate/loved the feeling when I first realised that blue little idiot wasn't going to make it... I had loads of fun. Now if you excuse me I'm off beating my record of 6.

Great game! I love the concept & the use of the theme. It kinda reminds me of Zombie Tsunami haha (: the way you control a group and some people die. The graphics and music are nice. Great job! :D

9 new record

Very fun entry! Cool mechanics, easy to pick up, wonderful music and art. I played through it twice but both times I resorted to just guiding a single small group. Maybe the game could benefit from some elements that force you to - or reward you for - splitting up the group?

I'm surprised this game didn't have the 20 ratings until a moment ago. It's a small yet clever management game, and one that got me in my toes as I tried to manage and keep as many sacrifices alive for as long as possible. With so many obstacles in the way, trying to keep them in a single controllable group proved to be an interesting challenge (and yet, I only figured out the huts gave you extra sacrifices only by my third run or so and just now re-reading the description I figured you can change the circle radius).

The presentation with the pixel art is top-notch and charming, yet I found the aspect ratio to be an interesting choice, while at the same time, an awkward one. I assume the decision to keep the game's aspect ratio like that was to allow for the player to see ahead, but at the same time I feel like the game ends up feeling a bit narrow when in the context of the rest of the itch.io page. The aspect ratio ends up looking close but not exactly like a mobile game, which I have to add would be an interesting thing to see this game ported too!

The music was kind of a surprise, not just because it sounded good and was appropriate, but for how much it reminded me of _Runescape_ music, which I've been played quite a while recently. Probably just a coincidence because of the shared instruments, yet a nice one to be sure.

On [behalf of our team](https://twitter.com/WhalesAndGames), thank you and congratulations for this jam entry! I checked the _itch.io_ and _Twitter_ pages for your _Comic Adventure Squad_ group and I'll definitely be keeping tabs on your games for future jams as well! Cheers! :whale:
