Congratulations. amazing game. I want to play it till the end.
I played Mad Meow: Purriosa's Panic and I thoroughly enjoyed it! The blend of tower defense and shoot'em combat was really engaging and the procedurally generated, Slay the Spire style map kept the gameplay fresh and interesting. I have to admit that the final level was quite challenging, which made it even more satisfying when I finally beat it. Overall, I think you've created a really fun and unique game that stands out from others in its genre. Keep up the great work and I look forward to seeing what you come up with next!🖖🚀🦦
Amazing submission! And is this a sequel to last year's entry? Loved the soundtrack and the art was stellar.
Fantastic game. The art style, roguelike and bullet-hell elements are fantastic. You worked very hard on this and it shows!
Great game! It looks like you had a lot of fun designing the mad max cats which kept the game interesting. I liked the fact that the player and enemies were locked into columns, although I wish there was a visual representation of where those columns were. I also was only ever scared of the one enemy that shoots purple goop, especially as that goop goes everywhere if they die while firing, but it worked well in the boss fight. Overall really solid game with a lot of moving parts!
Combining a kind of tower defense game with moving cars is a cool idea. The graphic looks great. Maybe a smoother movement would be more fun to play. It felt like the vehicles are stuck to some invisible column.
with so much nice graphics and art and effects and progressions, I wonder if it was a choice to leave the bullets just as single paint balls like this.
I feel this could be a cool bullet hell space invaders type of experience

As always, cosmic adventure squad delivers! Such nice, pretty, playful, colourful graphics! A really tight, efficient gameplay loop. Gave me strong oldschool flashgame vibes! The click & drag controls and the upgrade systems were a really nice way to craft something fun and pretty fresh from classic mechanics, all in a really cute and whimsical package. Awesome work to the entire team, and thank you as usual!
The bullets were a little at odds with the rest of the art, though!
The game seemed rather simple though. It felt like just adding one segment with the basic canon and upgrading everything was largely enough to win comfortably; making a big truck is heavily disincentivized by the loss in maniability, increase in difficulty with dodging everything (which can actually become impossible), the financial loss of paying for the new segment, and the risk of losing parts. This balance issue made the upgrade/buying system somewhat irrelevant: by that, I just mean it did not seem to hold any meaningful, interesting decisions.
This is mostly a detail, and the game felt extremely polished and fun and good; incredible job!
Cool game that mashes up a number of genres. There's so much content for a jam game as well. Absolutely in love the character graphics - less keen on the solid colour projectiles though. Also I found sometimes the enemies clumped together at the edge of the screen which made it difficult.
Cool game I liked it a lot. The graphics were really cool and the game was cleverly designed. There was a lot of depth in the progression system, and the upgrades which gave you more power at the cost of a bigger hitbox which I really liked. I found the actual gameplay a big boring at times though unfortunately. The simplicity of the controls, while intuitive, made the game slightly less exciting than everything else. Altogether though it is a really great game with a lot of fun mechanics and visuals
Nice, I enjoyed that ()! I really hope everyone who tries this has the context of your last entry cause man, that got a laugh outta me. I've got a few short points to touch on, but first things first, it looked, sounded and played great, as always. I've gotten through a good few of your guys' submissions, and they're always impressive to say the least, good job! :beers:
That said though, this felt just a *little* off to play. I didn't manage to get through the entire game, just because of the bullet hell sections -- they aren't bad by any means, believe me, but the bullets are too slow and too punishing; enemies will clump together when they attack you, and with the line by line attacks you have set up, they're either completely blocked with bullets, or even just one bullet in the way means you have to stand your ground in the corner until the path is clear (which is typically about 3 seconds, a *bit* too much for a bandit standoff). I found myself doing *reallyy* well down the path, until one encounter caught me in a bad way, and I was unable to defend myself, being brought down from full health on multiple well upgraded pieces, down to a game over.
I *loved* getting to create my own vehicle, I would've been so happy if that had more of a role in the game (just more abilities per part, rather than different ammunition)! Art was wonderful (seriously, good job as always), but as one little critique, the desert does have a little bit of a detail disconnect with the characters. I wish audio had a bit more to it, but what there was was nice! :3
Sorry for my paragraph of critiques, but I hope at least one of them was helpful! Great job once again, I'm excited to see what you've got in store for us next time! Keep it up, each of you!
Oh wow, this was amazing!!! The art's so well done, and the amount of content is mad, I loved seeing all the different truck combos you can make, final boss was additionally really sick. Wish the bullets had drawings instead of placeholders! Also felt a bit hard to dodge everything at once and sometimes there was almost no way out of an attack. Still amazing job, you all did well, I've been following your work since gamename!
Loved it being a follow up to the last entry! It was really fun! Loved upgrading the vehicle!
Some constructive criticism: I died once because there is no cooldown for being hit, got insta-killed.
Wave 5 is literally impossible. The game decides to suddenly send lasers and spreaders that both have 1 million HP and spam 9999999999999999999 other enemies to fill the entire screen.
This game is adorable, as always! Really like imagining it as the implied sequel to "All For the Tuna".
Audio is fun and fitting. SNES-style showdown!
I definitely like the idea of the gameplay, but understand this was a lot of scope for the time, meaning some balance stuff didn't quite make it in. I played a few rounds, but once the truck had 3 modules on it, the lasers would just tear me apart very quickly. Someone mentioned above, an invincibility cooldown after being hit would likely go a long way.
If you do a post-jam update, I'd love to see some visuals for the weapon projectiles too!
Y'all are one of my favorite jam teams, so it's always fun to see what you come up with :)
A really good entry, I don't think i can give you much more praise than all the previous comments. I will say, for anyone that is struggling, that saws are OP (especially at max level), and upgrading your cat is useful too.
Great graphics and very fun to play! The later levels are quite challengging.
Great game! I really enjoyed it, and the art is fantastic!
Graphics and music were cute. Though I initially wasn't even aware that I was shooting back at the enemies, there was near no feedback that it was happening. Perhaps a more obvious projectile than a simple blue ball? Otherwise kudos
Lovely artstyle, interesting gameplay and addicting upgrade mechanics. My only issue beside balancing (on a 4th node, the screen was filled with enemies) was the unskipable intro dialogue which stopped me from trying to play it for the 4th time :/
Incredible! --- it gets pretty brutal towards the end hehe --- but I enjoyed it --- it's like a slow motion bullet hell (at 1st lol) --- amazing vibe & atmosphere, the graphics & sound are great, presentation is on fleek, everything works well in the UI/UX --- on the critical side I'd say the bullet elements are a bit basic and because the truck has such a large hitbox compared to the area covered by the weapons, it feels a bit powerless when blue orbs are raining down on you haha --- but I guess that later one is one of the limitations of the format --- also giving each gun a separate HP box is pretty original imo --- great game from you lot as expected, keep up the good work :-D :sparkles:
It looks like a sequel to your previous LD game with the cute fishing, it's a fun idea.
Some aspect are really really good, and some others feels unfinished. Art is beautitful, I especially like the scrolling ground. Good job!
Tuna cat makes a comeback <3 One note, the audio was very low even with audio setting sliders at max... Nice bullet hell, impressed at the amount of levels that made it in!
Great graphics and fun concept. I found the gameplay fun and addictive, but I did have a hard time progressing very far. Perhaps I chose the wrong upgrades lol but I enjoyed it enough to keep trying.
cool audio and I like how it's a little unforgiving (you know your jam audience). Well done!
So much fun, well done !
This was so adorable! There was a surprising amount of depth as well, with the upgrades! Well done!
Fantastic game! The balance is a bit rough though, it sometimes feels like you take unfair hits, like when the laser enemies start moving while firing.
Super cute graphics and music!
I'm not sure if it's due to animations but I had a feeling that my bullets very often miss the target even though they seem to go through the enemy sprite.
Otherwise excellent game!
Love the concept, love the execution! It could be make a bit more fair sometimes but honestly it's really good for the jam. Congrats for your entry!
Strong game entry, I played earlier on stream if you wanted to watch initial thoughts (timestamps in the description to jump to your game!) [youtube link](youtu.be/VWB4DGknN6k)
