The difficulty of the levels escalate pretty fast! Other than that the controls are sweet and I can pretty much say I had fun, so thanks!

Really great! Though a bit confusing, I really enjoyed the gameplay, and the way you used the theme. Just wish I could have more time to read everything.
Excelent work! It felt like a mix between Super Meat Boy (for the gameplay), VVVVVV (for the graphics) and Megaman (for the leaps of faith). I ignored the warning about pressing 'M' to start, so it took me some time in the starting screen. I played it for some time, it's really fun, and really feels like SMB, including the frustration! My poor keyboard must hate me!
Just wish the respawn time would be shorter (it seems the post-compo version has fixed that, though).
Nice colors on the sky and ground but I think the level design needs more care
Really liked the simple mechanics and the character designs were really fun. I enjoyed playing it, good job! :)
Simply LOVED the graphics and the animation! The music is very good too. The gameplay was a little boring, it would be better if it was faster and harder, and a checkpoint would be nice too. After a little while I just got tired. Besides that, the theme wasn't well elaborated, but overall, great entry!
The graphics are pretty neat, and the gameplay was a nice mix of shmup and Bomberman. I'd only advice you to make things clearer on the interface, showing better the HP and when the buff/debuff occurs. I think the AI could be more challenging, too. Overall, it was a nice entry! =)
Take a look at my entry if you have time!
Just could get three endings =(
Absolutely great entry, excelent use of the theme! Loved the allucinations, the first time I waited until I killed myself just to see what would happen. Very powerful, and yet really fun. Five stars on all categories!
You could have explained where we should shoot to earn points
Well, I never had a cat, but it seems it's difficult to keep it entertained! Good entry! I'm interested in studying Three.js too, it would be nice if you share your source code. =)
I wish I could move a little faster. Also, bad AI and collisions. =/
Besides that, nice concept! The music matched the mood nicely!
Whoa! Really great entry! =D
Remembered me a lot of AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! for the Awesome (yeah, that's the name of the game).
Really fun, loved it!
Really powerful. Good narrative, and well chosen words for the links, though I think one of the endings could be a little more elaborated.
I liked the physics used to move the ship. Couldn`t get to the end of it (I`m not a reliable kitten savior) but nice try, I liked it.
Didn`t know exactly what to do in the game, the lack of sound fx and music also made the immersion pretty difficult
I liked the idea, but in the end it started to feel repetitive. Maybe a bit shorter would be better, and cause the same impact.
Excelent entry! The controls are extremely fluid, and the overall mood is great. I'd only suggest you to fade the music out as the player dive deeper, as to give a more frightening feeling. It's already very scary! I didn't found any huge monster, but I kept expecting one to eat me at once!
Nice entry! The gameplay is solid, I really liked the way the crosshair wobble when you move, nice way to enforce strategy. It's addictive, though I'm not very good (my highscore for now is 8000).
Did you use any game engine?
The hitboxes could be really improved. The "platformer" would work better if there was gravity and thrust.
ActionRemix, we couldn't find in time a good way to show the humans' line of sight, but you should wait for them to be facing the opposite direction, then climb to a safe spot.
Your comment reinforce the need for a more informative UI, thanks! :)
namuol, thanks! :D
We'll keep on developing, after the votes are finished we'll release a more complete version!
@Jonochrome, wow, thank you! That's great to hear! :D
I'll work a little more on the humans' screaming, it's kinda hard to emulate it on the Bfxr.
Sometimes, the old is the best. Great entry, congratulations!
Amazing game! :D
Incredibly additictive, just spent more than a hour here. Too bad the interface is bugged, I was almost filling the whole screen when the buttons froze. :(
Anyway, five stars!
Amazing game, but I suck at it! D:
Incredibly beautiful, and the soundtrack matches perfectly. Too bad I won't be able to see the different deepness levels the puzzle must have after some turns, wish I was better playing these kind of games! :D
The viewport should be long enough for the player to plan his moves, otherwise it becomes just a luck game.
Very strong mechanic, and I loved how the music helps building up the tension. I'd suggest you to improve the interface, as to make it clear to which train you'll jump to (it seems a little buggy too). Another suggestion: it really needs balancing, after several attempts the most I could deliver was one package. Maybe if the luck wasn't a so weighted factor; there were some times I'd take almost 20 seconds only traversing the correct route.
Overall, excelent game! Really promising!
I don't have words to describe what I just played, I only know that I like it! The absolute nonsense humor matched perfectly with the sounds and animation. Excelent job, five stars!
Wow, I loved everything about this game! The puzzles got me thinking even on the first stage! The inspiration is clearly from Hack 'n' Slash, but that doesn't take any of your credit! 5 stars!
Well, I'm not sure what to think about this. I guess is to deep for me? :P
The concept is cool, but I didn't understand the purpose of the little circles at the bottom of the screen, and the controls have too little responsiveness. I won't complain about the glitches, since they were mostly fun, but I'd recommend including a reset button. More than once I got stuck in a wall and unable to move, and needed to exit and start again.
The most fun was when I tried to control 4 "dancers" simultaneously. It really looked some modern dancing spectacle!
Wow, this was an amazing experience! The art style, the sounds, the subtle and intriguing story, the exploration space, the mechanics, the "domino" effect on the end, everything was perfect!
I had to play twice 'cause at the first I didn't know what to do with the other characters, so I removed the floor bellow them and threw them to the infinity. :D
I wish I could give you more than 5 stars! Congratulations, this was perfect!
Creepy! Took me too long to find an enemy, though.
Nice work! :D
I'm curious, what should happen when I scan the ball? Nothing happens, neither with the left click nor the right click. :(
Ok, that gave me a feeling of unease. I really like these kind of experiments! Too bad I don't have a Oculus Rift, it probably would way more creepy!
I loved it! Nice tribute to Monkey Island! I thought about making something like this, but ended up making a typing game.
The art and music are awesome too! :D
Complex gameplay, took me a while to figure out how it plays. I'm still not sure what are the rules for which piece "lives" when it's moved.
The art style is incredible, and the audio is competent. It's addicting too, maybe you could only make it a little harder. Overall, it looks and feels like a finished game, excellent job! :)
Wow, nice DOOM-esque game! Loved the graphics and the non-sense mood!
Nice entry! Too bad I can't read fast enough, so I never know what my character is saying :D
Wow, excellent work! The art and music are awesome! I love puzzles! :D
I get it, I myself am brazilian. If you want to, you can get the source code and replace the list of words for a french one! :)
Here a list of different languages for the wordlist package: http://packages.ubuntu.com/lucid/wordlist
One of the best entries so far, I too have made a typing game, but I really liked your mechanics. The art is awesome too! :)
At the end I ended up not countering the spells 'cause they weren't too hard, so maybe the difficulty progression could be adjusted. The theme of the spells match very well the enemies, I was looking forward every time to see the next one!
Oh, and I found out that I really suck to type words backwards (maybe 'cause English isn't my first language) :P
The art style reminds me of some SNES game I can't remember the name, it's very nice! The music is great, matches perfectly the atmosphere! Nice AI too, very realistic! Your team's logo really got me from the beginning with that awesome animation!
As for the downsides: I think the controls are a bit too sensitive, it's difficult to align the car vertically. The lasers are a bit too blinding, I guess a life system would make it less penalizing, since I'd not lose the race instantaneously when crashing. The camera could be a little more responsive to the player too. I'd never know when I could fire a laser, I think it'd be nice to have a gauge bar showing the time until the next shot.
This is a kind of game in which perfect responsiveness and feedback are core to allow the player's fast reaction. It's really difficult to balance everything, even more in just 72h. You have a very promising game in your hands, keep working on it and it'll be great! I'll give you 5 stars! :D
It looks awesome, I'll be waiting until a playable version! :D
Could you release an OSX version too?
Excellent game! The music is great, and the graphics are very competent. The character art really stands out. The mechanics are great, though the controls are a bit slow due to the lag. Nice job, 5 stars! :D
The art and animation are incredible, it looks like a production-ready game! I had some trouble with the combat controls (I'm using a touchpad), and there were some serious bugs (I had to abandon the game because the characters were spawning outside the screen), but despite that, it's a 5 stars entry! Congratulations! :D
The thing I loved the most was the graphics, really nice art. Besides, mechas and lolis are awesome! Too bad you couldn't finish the rest in time!
Oh, my HP reached zero and I didn't die :P
Well, that's really an unconventional weapon! The art is fantastic, excellent job! :D
The mood was really good! I was a little confused at the start as to how kill the enemies, though!
Wow, it's impressive how many mechanics you've put in a game in just 72h! Too bad I couldn't find the One Vodka! :(
The double jump was not very responsive, I couldn't get past the first few platforms :/
The music is great, though! :D
Oh, it took me too long to find out that I should flee the melee attack!
The timing was too hard, maybe you could put a warning just before the impact?
Despite that, it's a really fun game! Great way to develop the theme! :D
Too laggy, couldn't survive when there were many asteroids coming :(
I couldn't figure out what the said purpose of everything was, I guess it's a puzzle?
I always dreamed about being a giant monster! I loved the concept, and the game is very funny, I'd only give the player a better feedback on what is damaging him. The "3D" graphics are awesome too! 5 stars! :D
This is hilarious! As a fan of anime, this really rings a bell.
Awesome, the gameplay is really fluid, it looks like fun to play with 4 players (too bad I don't have who to play it with right now)! The art is awesome too, I loved the little Freddy!
Hahaha, loved the flip-flop animation! Nice gameplabe, but there should be some obstacles in the game. Good job!
Very funny idea! The art is awesome too! :D
Excellent game! I love typing games (I've made on for this LD too), but I never thought about mixing it with anagrams, good job! Some words are too easy, but some are too difficult (I'd slow down the hard enemies), maybe 'cause I'm not a native English speaker. My keyboard doesn't have page up and page down keys, so I had to beat every level; luckily you don't really lose when the enemy gets you. The feedback to the input is really good too! 5 stars! :D
Wow, very funny game! I felt guilty piercing the little pig, though! :P
I love random mini-games like those, they give a WarioWare feeling. My favorite one is the air juggling football player!
I loved the concept, but it was too hard! I couldn't find out what to do, I tried to channel up on the orange stars but ended up dying all the same! :(
I hope you keep working on this title, nice job! :)
The concept is really cool and innovative, but I couldn't guess what to do in the game. I've tried to throw money at the black clouds and at the computers, but neither worked. I got lost and didn't know which rooms I had already visited, and at the end couldn't get to the elevator. The movements are too slippery, and there's too much lag; multiple times I couldn't even pass through a door.
But don't be discouraged by all of this, it's an awesome concept and, if you keep working on it, I'm sure it'll be a great game! :)
This game looks awesome to play with friends, it's so rare to see tabletop games on Ludum Dare! With some graphics on the cards, it'll be great! Congratulations! :D
It's a good idea, but you could develop it a little more. Take a look at Recettear, an excellent game about being a shopkeeper, for inspiration.
Although the gameplay is not innovative, it's very competent. The chicken throwing "skill" it's a bit random, maybe you could make a little more predictable? The art style is simply fantastic, both the characters and the scenario! The music didn't play here, though (I'm using an OSX).
Overall, it looks like it'll be a great game once finished! Nice job! :D
The art style is awesome, as it is the audio on the tutorial. The controls are too difficult (maybe 'cause I'm using a touchpad), and I couldn't beat the first level. :(
The tutorial could have some subtitles too, I'm not a native English speaker, so I couldn't figure out what I should do.
The mechanics are nice, and I loved the Portal-style humor. Nice job! :)
Awesome concept! I simply loved the skills wheel, excellent "unconventional weapon"! The mechanics are awesome, but it's too difficult to coordinate the different movement abilities. It's too easy to get stuck in a hole when you override the boost by mistake. Despite that, it's a fantastic game! 5 stars! :D
The art is fantastic! The gameplay is pretty responsive, too bad you couldn't finish the game in time, even without a proper objective I had fun just running and having the mice follow me! Excellent job! :D
The art and the SFXs are great (and funny), but the controls didn't work for me, the W key wouldn't go up. There's too much lag too.
Wow, I wasn't expecting something as deep as this. Really, really moving. The art style, the perfect music, the subtle animation that makes the characters look like breathing heavily, the long moment after each choice, the impact of the bullet; everything was perfectly forged to make me feel the weight of my decisions. Every choice was hard. Sometimes I was trying to save someone, but then a new character with a sadder story appears. I can't give a 5 stars on Fun and Humor for obvious reasons, but on the rest, you sir deserves more than the scale supports.
Oh, and I'll be waiting until someone gives a hint as how to achieve the ending, I'm really curious!
Magnificent job, even more for a Compo entry!
Excellent art, music and sound effects! As far as I went, though, the unconventional weapon played exactly as the same as any weapon. I couldn't figure out too what the items were for. :/
Despite that, it's an amazing entry! Nice job! :D
Loved the mood! I love puzzles! :D
Unfortunately, the controls are a bit buggy, I was trying to put a door and ended up dying because it wouldn't work :/
Wow, this is awesome! I was looking at the images and wondering how did you make those little pieces, then I realized they were 3D printed! I had never thought about how the 3D printing could revolutionize the indie tabletop game industry, this is incredible!
Excellent concept too, very funny! Nice job! :)
It seems that the game is offline. :(
I'll keep an eye for when it comes back! It looks like a neat idea! :)
Wow, I think this is the most finished game I have seen this LD! I'm in love with the theme, art style, animation and soundtrack! Everything is perfect, congratulations!
I'd only make the initial velocity when the player opens the umbrella a little faster, it's a bit tedious waiting to gain momentum to continue the game. Aside that, I have nothing to criticize! For me, you "won" this LD! :D
I loved the impact of the bullets, it's very satisfying! Seeing the "money" boxes dropping from the enemies and spreading around, then collecting them was very fun too! The gameplay is very good, although I'd give a noticeable feedback when the player was hit, got ammunition or health. The respawn can be improved too, so no enemies or boxes spawn inside the screen or outside the arena boundaries. Also, I didn't understand the difference between the weapons, maybe that's cause I'm using the web version? :/
Overall, nice work! Simple, but very competent! :)
At first I didn't quite understand the mechanics, but as soon as I got it, it became really addicting! I was a little sad when I beat the last level, I wish there were more! :)
If you want to make the game more challenging, there could be a "survival" mode in which the player must face randomly selected sequences of notes and act fast, and see how much time he/she can survive! But I really suggest some faster way to assign notes to the markers on the left, maybe using the arrows to select which marker, and the keys 1 to 4 to select which note to play.
The graphics aren't impressive, but it really doesn't matter much in this kind of game. You could keep with this project in a educational context, it seems perfect to train the musical ear!
Good job!
Awesome use of innovative mechanics! Though, it's too difficult due to the constant stream of ants, there should be a pause sometimes, or a way to blow them farther. When they get behind you, you're basically screwed! :P
Better luck next time! :)
At first I was dying very fast, then I figured out that I could move across the blue wall and found the turrets! Never thought a game would be easier with more enemies then with less! :P
Nice job!
Very fun, can't wait to play against my girlfriend! Seeing the dead bodies rolling is curiously satisfying. This deserves 5 stars! :)
The jumping is a little buggy, though: sometimes the monkey jumps twice with only one button press, therefore hitting the ceiling (and sometimes the chainsaws), and if the screen is too crowded with dead bodies, the monkey can't jump. I'd suggest adding a button to reset the game.
Excellent competitive game, I think you should keep developing it!
Nice concept! It took me some time before I could beat the level, I want some more! :D
The best part is the awesome writing! Good job!
Creepy! I love experimental games like this! :D
Awesome graphics! Loved the characters' art!
The mechanics look ok, but I couldn't guess the outcome of my decisions. I'd advice you to make the feedback clearer. :)
Nice job!
Crashed at first then, the second time, it froze my computer and I had to restart it :/
I use an OSX.
Didn't load for me :/
I've made a typing game too! :D
Excellent art, music and SFXs! The game is too hard, though. Sometimes the enemies appears on the back of the player, and they punch too fast, there's little time to move and then type long words. There's also no used words list, so it's up to the player to remember which ones he/she already used.
Despite that, great entry! It looks and feels very polished!
I'm LMFAO! Excellent job, loved it, 5 stars! The options available to the player and the feedback to his/her actions is perfect, there's nothing to add. I'm curious about the score engine, which data structure did you use to represent the connections between different words/sentences? I'm specially curious about the sarcasm mechanic! :)
It was still in development, @Catblocker. I only published it before the end of the jam to avoid accidents. :)
Excellent entry! I'm in love with the characters' sounds! The difficulty escalated too quickly, though! I had to replay several times one of the initial levels (don't know which one, since the level selection bugged). Also, the controlling keys were A and Z here, is that a bug? :)
