LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

1337 BEAT AGENT by ConflictiveLabs 2015-05-06T22:43:00

I may just be an idiot, or it may be the fact there is no tutorial/instructions, but there it didn't seem to work. the little arrows shoot squares at my circle, but I always lose no matter which my thing is oriented. Perhaps it's a problem due to fact I was doing it via WebGL? Either way, even if it DID work I don't understand how it fit the theme. A little explanation on that one might be nice.

Super Cupid by panurge 2015-04-23T17:25:00

The instructions of what was going on what, and what the objective was is very unclear. It SEEMS like a good idea, but I had no idea what was happening.

Rare Drop by Artylo 2015-05-07T23:16:00

REally fun game, I enjoyed myself. That said, there were quite a fea flaws. First, on the title screen becauuse the text is in white it is hard to read against the also white background, so it took me a few moments to figure out how to start it. Secondly, it just drops you into the game with the tutorial onscreen. Which would be fine IF while it showed the tutorial mobs wouldn't attack me. Personally, I didn't enjoy getting attacked while still learning how to play the game. Also, on the subject of the tutorial, it pops up at the start of EVERY single game I play, regardless of whether I know how to play or not, thus it just limits my visibility. This could've been esaily fixed by having a tutorial screen as a seperate option. Next, I don't really see how it fit into the theme AT ALL. Personally, it seems to me huge swords with fancy waves coming off of them would be a very substantial weapon against hordes of monster. Also, on the subject of the sword, a sword swinging animation when I attack would've been nice, but I understand I can't have it all in 48-72 hours. Next, the mobs never really seemed to progress beyond the 1 above their head, which I assume is their level. It would've been nice if the mobs got harder to defeat as I grew stronger, so it didn't turn into a boring grindfest, but once again i understand I can't have EVERYTHING. And lastly, after advancing a bit mobs stopped spawning so I had to search over the entire map in an attempt to find them, not a fun process. Surely it would've have been that hard to make a mob spawn every 10 seconds or so? All that said, a delightful little game, and I enjoyed myself (contrary to everything I just said). And I must say, I did like the visual style too. Props to you.

Seems interesting, it would be nice if the link worked though.

Nightcrawler by StreamingBits 2015-04-23T19:30:00

It looks interesting..... But there's no tutorial, and I have no clue what's going on!

The Hicet: Iceburglary by TTFTCUTS 2015-05-09T21:18:00

An injgame explanation would be nice. I thought the point was too gid rid of the iceberg. Also, the game was a little long, at least for me personally.

Laser Kitty Sim by smikulcik 2015-04-23T17:46:00

Ohmygoodness, this so neat! The only thing I have to say though is that it would've been nice if you invested a LITTLE more time into the graphics.

The Room by Fenmar 2015-05-09T22:28:00

It's pretty laggy on my PC. I would just chalk that up to my computer, but reading the other comments I see I'm not the only one. Too bad.

Noodle Kombat by Sandcrawler 2015-05-07T17:14:00

It really sucks you NEED an Xbox controller for this to work, as I don't have one. It almost seems it would've been simpler (and more versatile) if you need purely keyboard controlles, rather than the other way around.

A Game of Drones by TD5 2015-05-07T16:36:00

It's a REALLY Interesting concept, but with one crucial problem. It is VERY confusing. There is no tutorial, guide or ANYTHING in the actual game, you just get thrown right into it! And when the game closes everytime you try to start it it makes it very hard to actually learn how to do anything.

Twitch RPG Brawl by Sharky 2015-05-07T17:01:00

Really need idea to have the game as a twitch channel. However, as others have pointed out, it's VERY rare to get 6 people all on at the same time in order to battle. A single player version would've been nice, or even if you made it only 2 player. Nice graphics 'n all in the picture though.

Candy Factory Simulator 2015 by Eggplant 2015-05-02T12:45:00

*Hears that the graphics were "kinda cute".*

*That is all that matters.*

*Ignores the rest of the statements about the graphics.*

Love is in the air by BabaJaga 2015-04-23T18:36:00

I really liked this! It was wonderful to play through, and the puzzle aspect was really nice.

UN Convention by RockhopperGames 2015-04-23T21:29:00

I LOVED it! It took me a try or two to work everything out, but I thouroughly enjoyed playing this little masterpiece! Only thing though is that you sorta get tossed into it without a lot of explantion. So, a tutorial would be REALLY nice!

Fun, if not terribly challening.

An Unconventional Disaster of a Game by vinnyboiler 2015-04-23T15:59:00

It's a REALLY interesting concept. I can't say I did NOT enjoy playing it. However, it seemed a bit on the easy side, especially after you get hit on one side so you can just focus on the other. Maybe next time 'round you could make it a tad harder? There are plenty of ways to do it: Make the game faster, when you get hit once yyou lose, etc. So, just personally, I lost interest quickly. With more time, I would've loved to see you expand on this idea!

In the context of this game, it's a VERY conventional weapon. So, just personally, I lost interest quickly. With more time, I would've loved to see you expand on this idea!

luddegodofpain by luddegodofpain 2015-05-08T18:27:00

I absolutely loved this game! IUt was a bit hard to get a hold of at first, but I simply chalked the awkward controls up to part of the callenge of the game, and being completely intentional. Everything about it was very fun!

N/a by LadyEmaSkye 2015-04-23T18:49:00

Yeah, so, uh, the game kinda doesn't exist anymore.... But blobfish.

Fjuffy teh kloud by jordgubben 2015-05-09T22:13:00

I AD0RE this game. W0nderful j0b!

UN Convention AL Weapon by coderkeith 2015-04-23T15:54:00

Intersting idea, but it is VERY long. Plus, I lost interest very quickly. Moving a snowman through some government document, getting blown up every two seconds? Interesting idea, just not very entertaining after the first few minutes.

Brain Massage by vamoss 2015-05-06T22:34:00

It sounds, and looks, interesting. But really? You REQUIRE Facebook?

LD35 — Shapeshift

Shape Collector by Jogy34 2016-04-22T22:19:00

Lovely game! It's simplistic, and it's fun to play against the computer. Nice work, especially for 22 hours.

Chameleon Clicker by Dark Arts and Sciences 2016-04-22T22:04:00

Interesting game. Could've used a bit of elaboration, though.

ORIKAMI by Mnemusyne 2016-04-22T21:39:00

Interesting take on the theme. The game is pretty basic ( I got tired after about 20 seconds), but the graphics are PHENOMENAL.

A Soul of Clay by fullmontis 2016-04-22T21:46:00

Interesting concept! It's definitely a bit difficult, and I would've appreciated more flavor text...

Photagogue by ChuiGum 2016-04-22T22:13:00

Controls are easy to use and the game works just fine. The graphics are outstanding.

The backstory, however, is WAAAAAY too long and confusing. The game is simplistic (with no way to heal health), and there's a game-breaking bug where I get stuck in the floor after a jump.

Overall, decent work.

Evolution by Eggplant 2016-04-18T19:04:00

Great entry, A+/10.

Weaponshift by The Vall 2016-04-22T21:55:00

It's an interesting concept! Definitely a bit annoying having it just be the same map over 'n over again -- made it kind of drag, especially since some of those jumps were hard. Controls need a LOT of work, though. Confusing and messy.

I don't understand the problem here.

VampShift: The Bloodening by abaines 2016-04-22T21:49:00

Not a wholeheartedly unique game, but it's well polished. It's rather difficult -- and you don't list the controls anywhere.

Morphing Maria by Frozen Fractal 2016-04-22T22:02:00

Wonderful little game -- best one I've played so far! Clear and straightforward, yet very intuitive. Some of the puzzles were definitely a bit complex -- I had to play through restart several multiple times.
