And... What if I don't have the Xbox controller ?
Same here :(
I have a XBox 360 Gamepad, but it doesn't work.
@talecrafter If you were using Google Chrome did you try another web browser? My controllers don't work in Chrome now, even though during development they worked fine.
I was able to get it working with an xbox controller in chrome. I like that you could choose your character, and the idea of a fighting piece of pasta, but it wasn't that much fun unfortunately. Every enemy did damage to me no matter how I attacked. I ended up mashing the attack buttons enough to finally beat the boss.
I really liked the hand drawn aesthetic. It was a really cute game. When fighting I liked how things got into a rhythm and almost became a rhythm game. Though when I first started attacking as the meat ball it took a second to realize that that was his arm and not something lewd. :)
Super game! I love it, thanks ;)
It really sucks you NEED an Xbox controller for this to work, as I don't have one. It almost seems it would've been simpler (and more versatile) if you need purely keyboard controlles, rather than the other way around.
Not everyone have Xbox controllers, so keyboard controls would be very welcome. People might not like the need to switch browser to play the game.
I did make the Xbox controller work on the game and I find the concept interesting, Handdrawn graphics also are a plus, always. :)
But I kind of got lost while playing singleplayer, with all those meatballs flying. Also, killing the meatballman was a little bit easy!
Nice work going for the compo, though! That's always a +1, because I'm not able to do it! :D
Nice entry. Some problems with attack range (I would stand in a place that meatball couldn't hit me but I could) and a bit too easy. I also found the tie with the theme a bit weak...
Question, is there any difference between characters?
@yuigoto
The need to switch browser is hit and miss, I have had quite a few people say that it works fine in Chrome. It may just be a few versions of Chrome that doesn't support the controllers.
@nihilaleph
The difference between characters is their attack range and height of the attacks. (Even then it is a really small difference)
Singleplayer was a last minute add and needed more changes. But I figured more people would play if there was some kind of singleplayer, rather than just multiplayer.
