The difficulty is probably fine for rhythm game lovers, but I felt that the difficulty ramped up a little too quickly after the halfway point.

matestinha 2015-04-21 02:37

I liked the overall feel, just guess I'm too slow to keep up with the beat. Nice game, though!

Great game, I really like the visuals and the music choices. I had a hard time getting the timing down for whatever reason. Perhaps a little more leniency would improve the experience.

raysandlazors 2015-04-22 21:36

It might just be me being terrible at rhythm games, but I couldn't get the feel for the beat the squares were traveling on. A difficulty slider to change the size of the trigger fields would be a nice way to let those of lesser prowess in such games to enjoy your submission :)

I loved the aesthetics. One solid entry here.

cstudios 2015-04-22 21:39

I did not get exactly what to do... should i rotate the cube to match the colors, or?

ithildin 2015-04-22 21:46

Brilliant entry if you're into rhythm games. It is a bit hard, but by retrying you definitely get better. Amazing take on the genre :):)

mcburrobit 2015-04-22 23:07

Surprisingly many rythm games this time around. This is definitely one of the more interesting ones, kudos!

rzfmzn 2015-04-22 23:17

Nicely done :D
Hard to control tho :P

dreyan 2015-04-22 23:18

That retro feel has been captured perfectly! Super polished and challenging game that kept me playing for a long time.

I fail at beat detection. Still - was only going to play platformers but this looked excellent and I love hacking themes. Great job, top marks!

tajger 2015-04-24 11:13

That is what I have always imagined as "hacking". :D

order_of_the_new_man 2015-04-24 11:38

The theme is really good fun, love the art style and the pitch bend down upon dying (didn't take long). Had some questionable timing / button press detection in the WebGL client, but maybe my timing is just off. (Firefox on Windows 7, for reference.)

terrykim426 2015-04-24 15:44

This is quite innovative! Nothing negative from me =D

conflictivelabs 2015-04-24 21:31

Thanks to everyone who played and thanks for your amazing feedback. We are working on a post jam version where we plan to improve the controls, timing and difficulty of the game.

druid 2015-04-24 22:15

This game looks so cool... Before turned it to rhytm game :D Anyway, still pretty good entry :D I played it for a while so, it was fun too! Controls are smooth and music awesome. Good job!

bvanschooten 2015-04-24 22:34

Very atmospheric intro. Game looks polished overall. Interesting gameplay, though I found timing a little difficult. I'd say the main graphical elements could benefit from more visual or light effects.

hexagore 2015-04-25 15:33

Great aesthetic, although it didn't seem like the beats lined up with the music at all. In fact trying to press the arrow keys to the beat really messed me up a lot. Still, I do love these sorts of games so thanks for this :)

phocker 2015-04-28 00:49

i am a loser - i could not figure out how to play - overall it looked and sounded great - nice job

conflictivelabs 2015-04-28 18:20

sP0CkEr2, you have to use the arrow keys to "deflect" incoming "bits" following the rhythm of the song. As you have to match their color too you may need to rotate your "decryption core" with S and D.
The instructions are at the end of the intro scene and in the description here. We should have added them as a README inside the standalone builds and as text in the webpages I guess.

Hope that helps!
(also, thanks for your comments!)

I may just be an idiot, or it may be the fact there is no tutorial/instructions, but there it didn't seem to work. the little arrows shoot squares at my circle, but I always lose no matter which my thing is oriented. Perhaps it's a problem due to fact I was doing it via WebGL? Either way, even if it DID work I don't understand how it fit the theme. A little explanation on that one might be nice.
