I like the action that does not hurt your brain too much. Nice job.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD32 → Brickgun

I like the action that does not hurt your brain too much. Nice job.
Fun, though I will say all of the "unconventional weapons" prices seem a bit high. took me forever to get the first one.
The graphics are lovely.
fun little shooter. nice work!
It looks good! very nicely done in 72 hours.
Maybe an option that allows it to be played in windowed mode? I am not a fan of fullscreen.
I really like the cute voxel art style. I think it should have more of a challenge, maybe a steadily increasing monster spawn rate/monster speed? Cool game :)
Thank you to everyone who plays it takes the time to write a comment <3
Overall nice!
Some music and some more sound effects would really make it better though. God job!
The monsters are really cute! Gameplay could be more varied, but that's understandable for a LD entry :P
Fun game, I really liked the art work. Took a while to get enough money for other weapons, only bought the first one. I liked it, nicely done :)
nice one! liked the art style and the juicy-ness.would of been good if the unconventional weapons had different mechanics to the standard gun. also please add a menu so i don't have to force quit if you make your game full screen! not bad at all for 72 hours though!
The characters are cool, and the controls work well - fun and satisfying running round and shooting things. Would keep playing if there was more variety, could be the base of a pretty good game!
Really nice game with a nice design.
That was just fun. Most time I've spent on any ld game so far. Good job.
Cool shooter, nice crossy-road-like aesthetic as well. Shooting sfx were pretty cool as well. You need to make the weapons available earlier as otherwise you risk players getting bored and leaving before they try them.
Good luck!
Neat graphics, very expensive weapons though :/ I included it in part 2 of my Ludum Dare 32 compilation video series, if you would like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/N2U1d1bXaPI
Pretty Cool game ! The graphics are lovely ! Very polished game, Cheers !
Nice graphical style, and a silly take on the theme.
Some feedback when the player / enemy gets hurt would have been nice, and maybe more of a difficulty progression.
Good work with this! It would be nice to have an enemy count, waves and such type information but the unconventional weapons were really funny. Sometimes I couldn't hit the enemy because my bullets would hit each other. Visually looks nice as well as I always liked the voxel style.
Liked:
- Nice artistic direction, graphics looked very clean
- Good and responsive controls
- Cute block characters
- The block bullets as physics objects was a cool idea. Points being attracted to your character was a nice touch
Disliked:
- Gameplay was simple and not diverse enough to stay interesting
- Took too long to get points (I don't think the rate of enemy spawn ever increased?) and the unconventional weapons from the store were a bit disappointing (I bought the 1000pts one... it shot faster and the game didn't get harder to match my new gun D:)
Very amusing little game, really liked the art in this one.
I must say though, there was no noticeable difference between the guns I tried (on the desktop windows build).
Overall, a nice little game that plays well and is completely adorable, just needs a cutesey soundtrack!
Nice block based graphics and fun to play game. But I found the first weapons I can buy, a bit expensive! Wanna see what can I do :P
I would suggest to improve too, to spawn enemies in something visual like a buidig, a door, platform on the ground, etc.
This was reminiscent of Nuclear Throne - nice work on the visuals and the gameplay was really quick and easy to get into. The weapons could have been more diverse I think - it would've been cool to get better weapons and then move into more difficult areas. Still great work for a weekend!
Brickgun ftw
I loved the impact of the bullets, it's very satisfying! Seeing the "money" boxes dropping from the enemies and spreading around, then collecting them was very fun too! The gameplay is very good, although I'd give a noticeable feedback when the player was hit, got ammunition or health. The respawn can be improved too, so no enemies or boxes spawn inside the screen or outside the arena boundaries. Also, I didn't understand the difference between the weapons, maybe that's cause I'm using the web version? :/
Overall, nice work! Simple, but very competent! :)
