Nice meta-game, bookmarked it to come back many times in next weeks.
I really liked your approach to the theme and the style of the game. It would be nice if the screen would be two times bigger, because it is a bit difficult ro play and read text. The game in the end becomes too difficult because of jumping and sliding mechanics.
Oculus Rift + MacOS... the idea of the game is interesting, but this is really the first game I ever see that _requires_ Oculus to play, not allows it as an option
Really liked the idea of the game. Two small issues 1) when playing on widescreen laptop, don't see lower part of game window and cannot make it smaller 2) it is often difficult to predict, where exactly I should stand to interact with particular object.
I really liked the concept and graphics, but the controls, especially jumping, make game too difficult.
The game is nicely dont, but seems too repetitive.
The game doesn't start and shows several "vertex shader compile error" error messages. (Windows 8.1)
REally liked the style of graphics. Played it till the end - all actions were logical.
I absolutely liked this game. It has an innovative concept and allows player to solve the puzzles that have some deeper sense.
I liked the game, it is not so simple, as it seems in the beginning.
The idea is interesting, and there can be a way to develop it further. Fun game, although seemed to simple after several minutes of playing.
Nice graphics and music, but the rules of movement are a bit confusing, especially if there are many tiles.
It is definitely one of the (few) games, that will remain on my PC after LD to replay, explore different endings and share with somebody else.
I accidentaly resized window with the game, and all falling cubes turned into small squares. Don't know, was it a bug, or was this intented. Otherwise, nice time-killer game :)
I liked the concept, but for me the square moves up and down too fast. It would be nice to add some rhythm to the game with some music...
I liked this game, although the jumping seems to be working a bit strange. This makes some levels more difficult. But otherwise very nice game - idea and design.
Great idea, it would be very inteersting to see a finished game.
I really liked the idea of powerups affecting the other world, although they make the game too difficult for me.
I think it would be nice to give several lifes to a player or gradually damage car when hitting obstacles instead of instant death.
I get error messages often. They looks like "Error creating link. xxx.xxx required", where xxx.xxx is some numbers (coordinates?). Nice graphics and sound though.
I really liked the art and animations, but on my PC (Windows 8, Chrome) controls are sometimes unresponsice, especially jumping: when I hit jump one time, the both characters start to jump repetitively. I don't know, is it just me, or there is some bug in your game.
I liked the music and the mood of the game... After I finished first mission, I cannot start the second, because debriefing screen with "you didn't succeeded with finishing this mission" appeared right after start.
I like how you show the amount of lifes left.
I totally liked the game. It took some time to understand, how to play, but when I understood, it was interesting. Makinf a game about such abstract concepts is interesting touch of the theme. And now I know how to differ Glommers and Visitors, which is practically useful for a dreamer :)
Sometimes the block fall through the ground, and then the game freezes.
If I could make rockets fly slower or faster with up and down buttons, it would make the game more fun.
I like music and graphics, but controls worked a bit strange for me. The movements lags sometimes, and it makes difficult to jump on small platforms.
The concept is interesting, but the game gets hard too fast. Maybe you should give player an option to switch between two types of shields and two types of wearpon separately.
I liked the characters animations. It is often difficult to say, where is my character, and where is the enemy
I liked the interpretation of the theme, but the game seems to be not balanced: the player has to few power and doesn't have checkpoints, so the game gets boring already on second level for me. If the power would restore slowly with time, the game would be better, I think.
I was able to play the game, because I have RTP installed :). I liked the graphics (especially interiors), and for me it was always difficult to use some own grahics in RPG Maker instead pre-made tilesets, so I wonder, how was you able to do this in short time.
Maybe you should make a package with RTP included? The file will be bigger but people will be able to play game without installing RTP separately.
What about the game itself, I liked the idea, but it needs more gameplay elements - some stats, different kinds of vegetables maybe... Though, it is a good start.
I really liked your game. It is a gppd puzzle, that has many levels and doesn't get boring, because something new is added from time to time. At start it reminded me on "Fire boy, water girl" series, but then I saw, that the gameplay brings new ideas to that concept.
I cannot run it. There is "Builds.html" file for downloading, and when I download it from Dropbox and open with my browser, I just see Unity starting screen and nothing happens.
It would be nice to have some differens between planes - different types of fairies, for example, or something else. Even if the gameplay on all planes will be the same, different decorations would add much to the mood of game.
I liked the graphics and audio, but the gameplay itself gets frustrating... I would like to see traces of previous attempts, to avoid repeating mistakes.
The animation of movement makes me feel dizzy a bit... A pair of time I definitely fallen through platforms. Otherwise, nice entry, especially for a first time.
I liked the idea itself, but the levels could be designed better: they are too tricky.
Privet :) The game is simple, but fun
I liked music and animations, but it is difficult to attak enenies without getting damage.
The interface makes the game difficult to play^ why not to highlight the chosen construction block, where the building will be built?
The game screen is blinking from time to time, when I play the web version (chromium). It would be less frustrating, if player had checkpoints, for example, respawn on previous platform (not in the beginning of the level).
May you make a file, that doesn't require an installation?
I liked the graphics and the mood, although controls were a bit unresponsive, and this made the game too difficult for me
Really liked your take of the theme. Not only the game has different endings, but this endings form a sequence, that gives some understanding to a player. Cannot say more, because don't want to score the whole thing for others, but yes, it was impressive.
I liked this interactive story. I played it several times, before I noticed your note about "no good ending" :)
I wonder, how such atmospheric beautiful art can be created in 48 hours... Really liked the game, although the ending is sad.
I played the simplified version till the end, and also tried the hardcore one. I liked the idea, although I guessed what this game is about when I reached third level.
It needs work on controls, but art an concept are very impressive.
I liked this game, but I had one problem: Up and Down buttons not only move the player up or down on the ladders, but also scroll page. Sometimes they do one thing, sometimes another, so it makes for me difficult to get to top.
I liked this game, especially how you need to control several parameters at the same time.
Looks interesting, but would be nice, if you would add a list of commands that can be used, if not in the game, so in your post.
And I can see the connection to a theme: there are refugees who try to move to "another world" and escape their old life... Liked the game, although it definitely needs polishing.
Really, why so many people do interpret "connected" as "collided"?
Some green dots are difficult to reach (and this is good, this makes player to think) and jumping mechanics are interesting. On my opinion, two lifes is not enough for the first level. 3 or 4 would make the game more balanced.
Nice game, especially if it is your second try. Small advice: think resolution of your game wisely, especially if you plan to post it on the web page. Many Unity beginnners (I don't know why) make the screen too big, although the game would look out nice in 800x600 or even 640x480. Otherwise, good entry.
I liked the game, esoecially the art and music. The effect of some choices seemed illogucal to me... And some note about downloads: 1) Web version is not working 2) When I downloaded Windows version from GamesJolt, I got 90 mb archive, that included Windows, Mac and Linux version. Please, separate them, so people culd download only the desired version :)
The concept is interesting, but the game needs better control scheme. It would be good to have a list of keys sonewhere in the corner on the screen, because it is not fun to try to memorize them.
It lacks of gameplay.. At least an opportunity to interact with other people somehow. I liked how the surroundings were drawed, but the main character seemed disharmonic (stretched vertically?)
Interesting game, although screenshots made me to expect different kind of game at first.
I liked the design and mood of the game.
The story is told with humor, but still seems too long for me. Otherwise, I liked the game, would be glad to see more diverse levels
I liked how the world changed at night and I really would like to see this game continued (including a talk with David ))
Too often I lose before I even find where I am :D
Graphics and sound are really impressive. The only problem is, that there is no difference between player and other dancers, so it is confusing.
I liked this approach to match-3 game, I think it is innovative. I really would like to see more elaborated version of the game, with scores, title screen, maybe some story...
I liked the mood of the game and the interpretation of the theme. Two small problems: it is easy to accidentally lose a figure behind the edge of the screen, so I would need to start over; after the second scan I get two round holes and one squared, and circle, square and rhombus to fit in... Or do I miss something?
Wouldn't you provide .exe file? I liked the screenshots, but all I see on download link is .love file.
I liked the style and the mood of this game...
I wonder how did you invent this idea, and I'm not sure, that I understood it right. But I finished the game and had fun with it. I liked how the movement was made.
I like this interpretation of "one screen theme"
The most unusual and interesting theme implementation I've seen for now. And a game about childhood. And nice graphics. And I like the word "broaderlands" very much. Good luck to you, thanks for this game.
Linux version is downloaded when I click on Windows link.
I got the idea after several tries, but score is decreasing too fast. I think it should start decreasing only several seconds after particle moved, giving the player time to find it.
I liked the idea. As for me, fonts and snowmen themselves are too small at this make game difficult.
Interesting variation of chess game. Some units are difficult to see on some terrain types, especially after they make a move. And I would prefer to use mouse.
I really liked it! Right today I had similar idea when I was browsing through all those games on playmerket... And idea to make something in different style. And you made it! Wow)
I liked the mood of the game, graphics and sound are lovely. I think it would be good, if the player don't go through the door automatically, but when pressing a certain key.
The concept is interesting, but on my PC jumping is a bit unresponsive. Takes time to get used to it.
I liked the mood of the entry, but the game lacks of background story. The idea, as for me, is not very original.
I liked the game. The idea was interesting, but it would be nice to have a "randomize" button, and also the meaning of knobs, showing when hover cursor over them.
I like the idea of the puzzle, to play it was interesting for me. The game is impressive, especially when I think of doing it in Scratch))
Graphics are very nice. I don't see a clear connection with the theme for now.
Very nice art and animations, and music too... (Although I wouldn't like to listen to this track for too long). But I also don't see connection to the theme.
Interesting concept, but needs to be a bit more diverse. Probably, not only music, but sounds. For example, a sound of smarthphone at the end. The texting message was unrealistic long... maybe main character just dreamed about it?
It is more like visual poem, than visual novel.
I liked the visuals and the audio, but the game was a bit too difficult for me. Maybe it is just me (still sleepy after finishing own entry) but I can barely survive until I'm able to switch map.
I liked the mood of the game, although the movement was too slow.
Too much promotion of the game, not so much gameplay. I liked the concept in the beginning, but the game in its current form gets repetitive soon. I would like to get more feedback about how my decisions influence the expedition. I liked the option to move and scroll camera, to watch the entire planet. The game needs more diversity.
It is very fun, and I enjoyed playing it several times. I think time increasing bonuses should appear more often (every second level or such), it will make the game more balanced.
It would be nice to have some animations, for example, illustrating the amount and state of different ants. I liked the music.
Interesting idea... for me the funniest part was to spawn random animals and watch them. But I think they were to small to identify them, I suggest bigger tiles would look better.
I liked the graphics ans the mood, but the game windows to small. I think game would only win, if the window was 1.5 - 2 times larger with same pixel resolution.
Interesting concept. I liked the way how walls change their position. And yes, I'm feeling a bit dizzy now. ))
I like how it was painted, and it fits the theme. But it is difficult to catch drops.
I got it after a while.. partially. The controls are too indirect, so it is difficult to find out what key has what function exactly. Will try to finish it later, though. I liked the style of the game.
Mistakenly commented instead of another entry, sorry. (Comment was addressed to game Siddhachakra). Your looks very impressive too.
I really liked this game. The controls are a bit strange, but I can get used to it and enjoy the game. It is very good especially considering the amount of time you spent on it. (It occurred so, that I had only about 7 hours in total in this LD too, but your game is much, much better than mine.. congrats)
Simple, but very fun to play, and I liked the graphics. Very solid game.
Nice game with interesting mechanics.
The game was fun to play, and I enjoyed the idea. But I've got a strange bug: when the missile start to fly, the monster and people disappear. I can still shoot lasers, but don't see monster and laser beams. Tried several times and got the same bug. (Windows 8.1, Standalone version of the game.)
It is simple, but fun. I liked to make a combo jumping from one head to another... especially after death)))
I really liked the game. The graphics have solid style, I especially liked, how the monster moves.
Really liked the concept, but don't have enough people to play with. I think this cab grow to a nice party game.
It was an interesting story. The game lacks sound, but is still fun.
On start, it shows an error message: "############################################################################################
ERROR in
action number 1
of Create Event
for object obj_resolution:
Invalid surface dimensions
at gml_Object_obj_resolution_Create_0
If I click "Ignore", the game works normally, although it starts in very small resolution.
I liked the gameplay and the design of the game very much. Good work.
It is possibly a bug: I was able to continue playing after I run out of lives.
The monster is so cute :) It was the nice idea, to show a nice monster in the game. But why are those cops shooting them?
It was a bit difficult, but I finished it. From some point, the cult starts to grow on its own, so you can concentrate on finding "sacrifice" words, and in this case you will do it in time. It would be nice to have some way to win additional time, though.
The game is funny, but the screen moves too slow.
I liked the design of the game, especially the look of the pointer. The look of the monster itself, too. Clearer tutorial would be nice.
It is mimimalist, but clear. I really liked the game. It would be good, if voice acting on the red path would be more diverse. Blue path is made definitely better (and I liked it more))
It requires Newgrounds account to play
Interesting concept, but the rules of combining icons are unclear. I end up with gray screen and don't know, what to do.
It is one of the best games I played in this LD so far. I really liked the art and level design.
When I try to run it on Windows 8.1, it says "Java exception has occured"
Thanks! I really liked the writing and the idea of two true endings, as it seems to me.
I really liked your approach to the theme.
@liquidmedia you can use magic on saplings to make them grow, grow a tree to get high and use magic on what you find there.
@BoltKey Thanks for the feedback. I planned to drop a hint, something like the mage thinking "look what my magic can do here", when approaching the small plant. But sadly I forgot to do it.
It was a bit difficult to understand the concept of your gameplay, but I really like the style of art and sounds.
I liked the message of this game, but I cannot say I liked the gameplay much, and I don't see much connection with the themes.
I think the fact that you lose life when you miss a falling cell makes a game somewhat unbalanced,
