It's cool. The controls are a little confusing, though.

It's cool. The controls are a little confusing, though.
I died too many times so couldn't see what was at the finish line.
Great game. A little bit too hard for me to finish. The chasing spike block was the one I got stuck at.
Really liking the mood. The game has some bugs, like the firing mechanism gets stuck and auto fires at the start of the level. A lot of detail went into the various levels. Also the music and soundtrack is really enjoyable.
It's cool that you're trying something different. Math puzzles are just not for me.
The font looks nice but I can't really rate a game that highly that is just one pixel and seems to have zero gameplay.
Interesting mechanics and varying boss fights.
So many two player games. Just reminds me I don't have any friends :(
Very interesting concept. I guess we all like to be reminded of our own mortality.
Really nice. I made it to level 11 and it became quite tricky! :) The graphics aren't the best but the gameplay is really gripping and the compo theme is well included.
While the theme is quite disturbing, the gameplay itself is engaging, the graphics and audio good.
The game immediately dies when I try to start it.
Interesting and fun twist to Angry Birds type of games. Nice music and humorous mood. Thumbs up.
Oh man installing Pygame on Windows is such a pain. All I have currently is Pyglet. Please make a ready to run executable if you can.
Neat idea and solid implementation. The gameplay is just not for me.
I don't know how to finish the game. I died many times but seemed to be unable to find a way to defeat the enemies.
It has a nice mood. What's the black thing? Some kind of a ghost?
Yeah, it's great. What's more there to say? :)
Very cool game. I love SHMUPS. Nice music, lots of different enemies.
Quite solid shooter. Entertaining mechanics and options to choose different characters. Theme is well integrated into gameplay. Thumbs up.
The game window is huge! I'm glad I have the resolution for it. I don't know how to "play" this game but it's amusing and interesting
Aw, only two levels.
Very interesting concept. Could use a tutorial of sorts, because the gameplay is not immediately obvious.
Unfortunately, very long loading times for me diminish gameplay enjoyment. It's also a little buggy. Sometimes the main character sprite seems to disappear. Nice graphics, nice audio and music. I just couldn't get into this game because of the many idiosyncrasies.
The game is quite confusing but the graphics and the mood is very nice.
Congrats on finishing the game. :)
Looks like a math puzzle. So not for me who's out just for light entertainment and an occasional challenge.
It's quite a basic platformer. The game unfortunately crashed for me.
You get only One Direction, indeed. It's a little tricky.
This game is just way too difficult, if the purpose is to get the ball into the hole. It's not like golf, where you can have some momentum. It's like curling, from hell. I like the general aesthetics and the ability to edit levels. It's just the gameplay that's a little bit of a miss for me.
Nice pixel graphics. Very difficult game though. I managed to die on the helipad :D
Playing a platformer with your left hand is difficult! All in all, looks like a solid platformer. Too bad I can't get past the water obstacle. Also you get one what?
It's a solid platformer. After numerous deaths, I just couldn't finish it.
Cool starting comic panel scroller. Neat idea and a simple execution.
Nice little point & click with an actual story. Well done!
Some weird hitboxing and issues with jumping and avoiding missiles but other than that, pretty neat idea and game.
That was quite enjoyable. Nice art and setting.
The controls are a little awkward but the gameplay is solid in its simplicity.
Indeed it's adorable. Could use some sounds and music, tho.
Neat idea. Just seems to have little in the way of implementation or end goal.
It has cool 3D graphics and a menu interface. I just have no idea what I'm supposed to do. A little bit too complex. A tutorial level would be nice.
It's quite difficult. Reminds me of Cookie Clicker for some reason. The idea is good, the implementation could use some polish (and audio).
Comfy game. Even with zero graphics.
This is an absolutely brilliant idea. Well executed.
I can't seem to be able to start the game. It's stuck at the first screen of text forever.
Long game, a lot of content. Some of the music and art is top tier. Combat system and 'ONE' quite confusing a concept for me.
Cool idea, great execution, nice mood. A little short with not so many mechanics.
Haha, hilarious! :D Also you just totally went Spec Ops: The Line on me.
I'm not sure what to do in this game. The player character is hard to separate from the crowd. You move around, some creepy music plays...?
Really difficult, didn't finish. The checkpoints could be more generously spaced. Other than that, it was an excellent game. Solid all the way through. You could have made some money selling this for the consoles 20 years ago.
Really fun and interesting puzzle game. Well done!
"HaHa! Capitalism wins again!" Indeed. Cool settings and a solid game.
Can't start it on Windows 8 64-bit.
Cool music, but the game is just jumping 3D blocks.
Extremely hard Typing of the Dead type of game. Couldn't make it past 3rd level. It seems I have to fail and memorize the words.
I'm not sure how to play, but it's fun driving around with the boat and the graphics are neat.
Very short, not a lot of gameplay, but made me laugh so points for that.
One of the most brutal games I've encountered so far.
I certainly like the idea of infinite beer.
Solid implementation of a very simple basic type of game.
What was wrong with the web version? Did you try reloading the page? If I know how, I will fix it.
Difficult game. Could get only one extra treat.
Excellent. Beautiful graphics, great implementation. Good idea for the theme.
I need a browser addon or download from Mediafire, which takes like 20 minutes.
Very simple game but the graphical and aural effects are interesting.
What did the doge do? Overall a very enjoyable platformer and certainly one of the games I have spent the most time so far. Many different mechanics which you get to pick.
I'm stuck at first screen after menu and character selection.
Really cool, also really hard. I wish there were checkpoints but that's the theme right there.
You only get one. One what? It wasn't immediately obvious to me. Which is why I can't rate this that high overall. It was a fun game with some humor. A lot of content for 48h.
I had no idea what I was going for and doing but still finished the game.
Excellent game. Only minor quibble I had was the framerate which was not completely smooth.
I think this is a really good concept. The music and the audio is good. I hope you make a post-compo entry that has more variation in the regexes. This could be a fun tool to practice my stagnating regex skills.
I have to confess that I'm lazy and asking me to learn and memorize various text commands to play a game, of which the purpose isn't even clear at the beginning--is a lot. Still, the originality and the shader effects impressed me. You really nailed the console visual authenticity down to a T.
I liked the music and the gameplay was good.
Quite enjoyable space shooter/trading game.
Cool game. I liked the concept.
Yeah the hitboxes are off. The level and game balancing is off. I unfortunately ran out of time in that regard. Touhou and Ikaruga were my inspiration. Thank you for your rating!
Very neat and original idea, IMO. It was well executed. Even if the graphics were very minimal, the gameplay was fun.
I couldn't confirm a path to fly to a planet. The button didn't work.
It's a solid game, even if a bit bare bones.
Very nice looking game. Any chance of getting the source?
It's pretty neat idea combining shooter and cookie clicker.
It was sure an interesting take on the theme. I had a little trouble figuring out what I'm supposed to do and how but once I got it it's pretty neat.
Oh man. Time.deltaTime is your friend. :) Everything went too fast for me to do anything. Still, I see with a bit of bugfixing this would be a fun game.
The third stage where you have to stab the zombie coming your way, after hiding in the cabinet proved a bit too difficult for me. Nice game!
@ManicMiner: It's actually Sculptris, a free software. I highly recommend it. It's fun and fast and pretty much perfect for Ludum Dare. Also retopo and baking in Blender these days is fast and effortless. Yeah, texture painting, rigging, skinning and animating isn't my forte. Maybe for the next time I've mastered those topics. :)
It's a fun game. Minor annoyance for me is how the enemies have zero reaction time, or maybe I'm just bad at the game. The difficulty level rose a little too fast. It's very reminiscent of Hotline Miami gameplay.
That was really lovely. Excellent idea and implementation. I had fun with this game and played it to the finish.
Brilliant! Other than the flippers feeling a bit too heavy as other people said, I have no complaints at all. Great idea and a great implementation.
The networking is cool. The bots were a good idea.
The difficulty spike after the lazers was a bit too much for me unfortunately. Other than that, great game!
It's a fun little shooter. I don't see how you used the theme though.
It was a cute little game. I enjoyed the story even if it was a bit simple. Nice use of the two buttons theme.
I guess it's because it's random, there's sometimes a situation where there's no way up? Also I couldn't figure out the controls. It seemed you could accidentally change direction while jumping up.
Thanks guys for the heads up. I'm really sorry for the mixup. It should be fixed now, hopefully.
Thanks for the input guys. It's good to hear what you thought about the controls. The gliding can be ameliorated with pressing both buttons exactly only when then jump cooldown finishes. Only pressing left or right makes the character stick to the wall much better.
The visual design is superb. I just have no idea what to do in this game.
That was a really, really tough puzzle. But finally did it!
Damn that was really tough but made it in the end. :)
Really great idea and the implementation is snappy. I would like to see this game made into a full product and put on Steam.
The graphics are brilliant. I'm not sure what kills me though. The camera angle also blocks my view of incoming objects. Finetune the gameplay a bit and this is a great entry.
You sometimes get stuck and the movement is a bit glitchy. Nice audio and idea.
The text was pretty hard to read and the game got really difficult towards the end but other than that, pretty solid entry. With a bit of fine tuning this could be a solid product.
It's a little bit heavy on the information frontloading with the tutorial (a lot of reading). A solid rhythm game nonetheless.
Pretty nice game. Very fast. Can't quite keep up.
Good for first try.
Once you get sliding into the wall, it goes too fast, also the blocks move really fast. Is it supposed to be this quick? Simple, but still quite functional and entertaining.
Very nice story and progression. That ending though... What happens next? :)
Hehe. This is great. Different and interesting.
The alchemy theme was interesting, but the potion crafting part where you have to buy the ingredients was confusing and a lot of reading and trial & error. Maybe less ingredients with a little bit easier interface next time?
I love the mood. The graphics and audio is really good. I couldn't find any secrets though? Seems I can just walk around and if I try to open the chest I get stuck at typing numbers and have to restart the game to play again.
The atmosphere and the narrative was very engaging. There seems to be a couple of bugs. The shotgun stopped working after reloading the game (not restarting the .exe). Also the rescue copter came after even when I died and the screen turned to black. Overall, very entertaining little vertical slice.
That's a great little game. Car physics and steering could use more fine tuning. What you achieved in 48 hours is impressive.
The graphics are really nice. The game is very interesting, but it's so short! I would have liked to play a lot more of this.
Pretty interesting puzzle game. Took a while to figure out that is up, down, left and right.
The hit radius on those spikes was huge.
That ending though...
Very good game. The bug where you can't see the choices very clearly is a little annoying but other than that, I enjoyed the game a lot!
Very cool concept. Nice execution. Hard as balls though. Couldn't quite get through the final levels. Once the ship gets crowded it's also difficult to move things around in time. Maybe that's intentional.
Neat idea but it seems quite slow to breed them. Is there a special mechanic for that? It's just a lot of work to keep them separate and hope they pop a new one soon.
Really interesting concept nicely done.
Great music and nice graphics. Game seems fun. WebGL version just seems buggy, couldn't play for too long before the thing crashed.
Pretty neat and fast paced shooter. Quite short though.
I feel like the bats are a little too fast in order for me to aim and shoot at them. It seems very random if I hit or not. The firing sound is quite loud.
Really cool that you came up with a functional first person combat/adventure game. The weapons could have used some fine tuning and I think the enemies move a bit too fast. It was a bit too "floaty". There was no punch to the hits. For a LD entry, this was excellent.
Found a bug they seem to be able to walk offscreen. Also the ending was funny. Couldn't quite keep my finances in order. :D
Very interesting idea. The mechanics are well thought out. It's a little hard to get into and figure out how everything works. A gradual introduction of the mechanics and a type of tutorial would be appreciated.
@somnium: it just felt that everything hit me at once. As a story progression and getting into the game kind of a thing it would be cool if there weren't so many mouths to feed immediately. It was a little overwhelming. This is of course just my take on it. It's not an objective reality. YMMV. I felt I had to hit the grouned running instead of being gradually introduced to the mechanics. Thrown into the deep end of the pool. Even if the actions were trivial, I feel it would still be an improvement over starting to do everything at once from the beginning. You could learn the flow of the game by doing, instead of by reading and thinking.
@Somnium: It may be also UI issue. There are too many visible objects at the same time making me think I have to control them all at the same time, while the starting days do not have to use them. Maybe also simplify the UI and add UI objects as they are introduced?
Cool idea. I think it would be nice to add a story line. Now it's just a beer drinking simulator. Visual novels and adventure games need a little more meat to the bones to be fun. I appreciate it that you didn't just go the cookie cutter route and instead innovated.
Super slick and kickass. The art and the music is superb. The gameplay fun.
@HuvaaKoodia: No the figures not disappearing is not intentional, unfortunately some bugs still remain. Thanks a lot for the in depth review!
@gamepopper: That's a very good idea. Probably first thing I do if I ever make a post-compo version.
Seems you can just spam quack and keep winning. Maybe a cooldown? The graphics and the audio are really good.
I had trouble starting this. Had to guess how to set the proper resolution. Also crashes. The combat mechanics are fun. Once I realized that you can just stun and spam hit it got a little trivial.
First impressions: at first it was pretty fun collecting crystals and avoiding the projectiles but it quickly gets tedious. Especially as the shop items are way too expensive and especially as a useless tip is just a useless tip. Why put it there for the player just to waste his or her hard earned crystals? The game definitely has potential, it just needs tuning.
Pretty fun mini tower defense game. As aurel said, more balance would improve it.
Same as Tex, "connection timed out".
Really cool puzzle game. The music got a little repetitive.
Pretty cool shooter. The particle effects and the lighting especially was very nice. More enemy variety, behavior and AI would have been good.
Man that was much more fun than I expected. I'm not sure about the heating mechanic. Maybe rethink it somehow. The sound was annoying and frustrating. The rest of the game was really cool. Liked the enemy movement patterns and upgrades. This has all the ingredients for a decent SHMUP.
That's fun. I wish the entire rest of the game was done with the art style that you did the characters. I really dig it. At first the music really sounded really bad, but I started liking it as it fits the theme of the game quite nicely. The AI and pathing of the skeletons and the enemies could be better and the controls weren't immediately obvious to me. Really cool entry!
It's kind of frustrating and not easy to get into. The game starts way too hard right at the gate. There are no audio effects to signify any gameplay elements. The game download is HUGE. I can see how with more work this could be a fun game. The player just needs to be tought how the game works with a lot easier beginning levels.
Cool concept. I think there's a little too much waiting around. It would be nice if the game moved on faster, the new numbers spawned faster and the Red thingies multiplied faster. For someone with lower reaction speed, the red dots movement speed at least at the beginning could be lower.
I first thought the yellow balls were points to be collected. :D Very cool and simple game. Good job!
The controls would probably be better if I could use both hands. Fun shooter. The glowy particle effects and weapon upgrades are cool.
First 5 stars for humor. Yes, I enjoy fart humor. :D
Nice audio. More than just BFXR. Looks like a fun game. The mouse seems just very broken. Can't seem to click on any of the drivers options. Once I figured out the mouse the game itself was pretty fun. It's an actual 3D TPS! Nice! :D
The altars have nice UI where you can see the bar in the game world itself.
Where am I supposed to go? If I go up I "reach the surface" and the game ends. There seems to also be no other way to go. Ok I found the route. It would be really nice if there was a better indicator of my non-visible area. Now it all just looks like cave wall. Also a discovered area map would help a lot. Now I'm just running around in circles. :D
The presentation is very cohesive and well put together.
I really like how you can even be hurt by your own fire. Makes it much more interesting and unique. A simple 2D shooter. Works well.
Cool game. Cool graphics. Works very well in browser. Seems I can't progress anymore because the levels are randomized and there are pillars blocking all routes?
Cool twist on the traditional game. It's a bit frustrating that you can't immediately control the blocks as they spawn.
Cool concept. There seems to be no win state? Also it seems to be possible to keep everything going infinitely just by spamming good and bad actions.
Great story and VA. The star system navigation is a bit difficult as the zoom, is so close.
Oh man that's a very tactile. The explosion of things you collected is both very frustrating and spectacular. The gameplay itself is quite simple once you understand. It is very punishing though, a tiny mistake and you have to start all over again. Something I prefer could be a little more forgiving.
Cool game. The levels were randomized? Sometimes it felt there was no way to continue. It was quite fun nonetheless.
It seems there's a lot of backtracking. Going back 20 rooms to just get a key seems a little too much. While the game fits the theme, it seems there's not point in just being slowed down. I don't understand how it is connected to a game mechanic outside wasting time. What is the decision being made? How can a player improve his skill playing the game? It seems just random and there's no reward or penalty for playing the game in a right or wrong way.
That said, you've got the basics of a Binding of Isaac/Zelda-type adventuring game down. The coin mechanic just isn't very rewarding. Maybe by removing most of the backtracking and putting a lower limit on the speed decrease would improve things. Also something like teleporting back to shops (for a cost) would be nice. Like for example Dark Souls bonfire mechanic.
Really cool logic puzzle type of a game. First game I immediately chose the right person, but couldn't for some reason succeed again.
Really cool puzzle platformer. Nice graphics. Some audio would be nice like Beebo said.
Cool looking font. Nice 80's computer style music. Really takes me back. Very nostalgic. You replicated quite well how C64 games were back then. It's a fully functional game with upgrade system and everything.
Good music. The intro was very good. The gameplay itself nothing too exciting but the story and the humor really worked for me.
