Literally floating in ammo. It was fun, at first I thought it was unplayable but I remembered that you can shoot to lose ammo.

Literally floating in ammo. It was fun, at first I thought it was unplayable but I remembered that you can shoot to lose ammo.
It's like a drunk shooting simulator. The concept is actually pretty fun. Just throw in some light platforming and some bad guys and you've got yourself an interesting game.
Huh - interesting idea, a little frustrating in practice though. It would be interesting to score shots based on *how bad* your aim was at the time - award more points for harder shots, that kind of thing. Nice job.
Nice idea, I OMG'd when I got to the third level! It's a little frustrating, though ;-)
Bit frustrating, but I liked the concept
I never imagined that the more ammo you have, the crappier the targeting is. But it's deliberately made this way. I just had to empty my bullets, aim, and fire. Rinse and repeat.
A fun concept, wish there were more levels or maybe some enemies. I ended up just shooting until I had 1 shot left then using it hit my target then pick up 1 more shot in the last 2 levels.
Yeah, sorry guys, got my level editor working super late. Originally there was going to be puzzles that required you to use the aim spread as there was going to be sections where your view would become locked. Glad to hear you folks are liking the concept though!
Nice concept. Fits the theme well. The game definitely needs more levels.
Cool game ! But needs more level ^^' And muscis also. And balacing after all because that is too easy to shoot all your ammo before recharging them one by one for being accurate.
Great idea thouhg, keep coding !
It was an interesting concept but it was too easy to get around. It fit the theme well though, and I did try to hit the targets with a full load of ammo but it seems my old reflexes are too slow lol.
The concept was well thought out, but could have used a few more mechanics to actually make this into a game.
I found the randomness of the crosshairs a bit too chaotic, maybe some swaying motion might have been better with the radius and speed determined by the amount of ammo you have. That way, aiming would still be hard, but more a matter of skill instead of luck.
Since there is no disadvantage in having low ammo, there is little incentive to actually conserve it. A simple modification would be to add score tally where you get a higher score when you hit a target with full ammo. You could award medals or stars according to the score achieved. That may increase replay value.
Loading levels from text files sounds like a cool concept to create a lot of levels fast. Shame that it didn't seem to work out for you.
Oh, loading from text was pretty great. Cranked out the three levels here in about 30 minutes (but alas those were my last 30 minutes). Ideally, I would also have an in game editor (that saves to text, but then I wouldn't have to make them in a text editor). And yeah originally the idea for requiring more ammo would be some puzzles would lock viewpoint and then you would need to have a certain aim spread to hit a target or something similar.
Interesting idea. The gameplay narrows down to just wasting ammo and steadying your aim so maybe need a little rethinking. Seems there's really no way to lose. It was a fun experiment.
Fun play on a straight forward idea. Interesting and annoying whilst totally playable.
Short but enjoyable game! I agree that enemies would make this game fun! The concept was easy to understand and grasp. I could see the possibility of added depth, in carefully scoping out levels to see if you could safely waste bullets and refill them later or not!
Cool concept ! With a bit more polish and more gameplay idea, it could be really fun to play :)
Cool idea to dig, i would have liked to see the concept exploited a little bit through some more levels, it's a nice thing about the level generated out of text I guess it took you some time that you could not spend on level itself but now you have it :) As been said it kinda looks like a drunk shmup simulator xD as it became a bit easy with few bullets, it could have been interesting to add a bit of difficulty with moving enemies, and interpret the thing on the number of bullets shots, rather than of the number of bullets remaining : ie when having more bullets you shoot with some kind of shotgun, but not accurately, and when you have no more you just shoot 1 straight bullet like a railgun, accurately :p it could also be fun as a 2d top down to make the scope smaller... It's just some idea based on your own one as I think this could result a neat original gameplay :) Nice take on the theme, good job ! Cheers !
Really cool idea for the theme :D It gets a little bit easy ones you know the mechanic of losing all your bullets will lead you in a better accuracy :P Other than that great work!
