LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Hugline Miami by Figglewatts 2015-04-21T09:49:00

It took me five minutes to realize that the original Hotline Miami was made in a completely different perspective – you have reproduced its feeling very, very well. And killing people with the power of love is always nice.
But I think that the character movement could be a little faster – it really slows down the game's tempo. Anyway – I really enjoyed it.

The Great Debate by MiniBobbo 2015-04-25T08:49:00

I'm not sure how the points were counted, but it was an absolutely ridiculous experience. I love how you threw quotes from Galileo and Monkey Island as well into one game :D.

Velo-City by TeamEagle 2015-04-21T13:18:00

Even without gameplay, it would be still so damn pleasant to watch and listen to. Good job.

Why is there no rating for the Sound category?

Oops... I killed my neighbors by Tork 2015-05-05T15:00:00

The Sims Hardcore Edition.

Pretty unique and satisfying gameplay, with a nice usage of the theme.

Natural Weapon by Manou 2015-04-21T09:01:00

Looks absolutely glorious. And it's actually playable, so I really enjoyed it.

SLICK LICKER by KodingNights 2015-04-24T16:18:00

A tongue which needs ammo - that's what I call an unconventional weapon :D.

6RAVITY by MFEP 2015-04-24T15:48:00

My God... that plot ;_;

The Yellow Jacket Man by Givit Game Studios 2015-04-24T16:28:00

Thugs are so thug that even their dead corpse blood is chasing me. I completely adore the controls. Top down shooter with hack'n'slah-like clicking is something really fresh and joyful for me.

The only problem i have is that you gave me so little health. I almost die from a single touch of the enemy.

Anyway, I really, really enjoyed it.

Protector Of The Shrine by maunovaha 2015-04-21T10:04:00

Very nice graphic style, and the singing really afects the gameplay. Very, very good entry.

Btw, full karaoke tower defense would be amazing :P

Vinnie Cancer by Asado 2015-04-24T17:44:00

This music... something makes it perfectly fitting a theme of a brave lung cancer. It's so, so strange :3.

Also, i like, how well is that sticking to the walls executed. And your dubbing is lovely.

Weapon Against Oblivion by frnknstn 2015-05-05T14:48:00

"Oblivion always wins". This game provokes feelings i didn't expect at a game jam ;_;

Great.

Food by OnePonyGames 2015-04-24T21:21:00

"The gods cursed you this year", every year ;P. It makes me raid averybody around me when I have more than 0 warriors. But it's still an interesting idea; it's nice to see an economic game at jam.

Tongue Lash by benjamck 2015-04-24T16:00:00

A tongue which needs ammo - that's what I call an unconventional weapon :D.

Tongue Lash by benjamck 2015-04-24T16:17:00

Sorry, wrong tab ;P.

So, HERE, we have a goddamn "American McGee's Worms" :D. Seriously, the scariest thing I have seen here. Magnificent.

Using the stapler is a little bit clumsy. It's nice you've written in the description, what to use the stapler for, because I would never get close to these heads in my life.

Good job.

Magic Banana Breakout by dancar 2015-04-24T17:28:00

I don't need banana for scale anymore, 10/10.

Banana jumping idea is brilliant, but it's also very difficult, because these platforms are so small. I liked it though.

Bad Tummy Bunny by PachowStudios 2015-04-21T08:30:00

The best usage of diarrhea ever. 5/5 for audio.

Zombinball by PanKamil 2015-04-23T09:07:00

Thank you very much for your feedback, it's so nice to know you like it :D. We will definately keep working on that project.

Agent Of Souls by Norbex 2015-04-21T08:28:00

When I read I will make people disappear, I didn't think so literally ;). Great idea and level design, and the graphics also has its charm.

Bear Arms by MJaawa 2015-04-25T08:41:00

Very eerie artstyle, for a game about rainbow-puking bear. I will definately remember it.

Btw, you gave us two possible resolutions, and kill count doesn't work on one of them :P. Anyway, for 15 hours of development, it's a really nice entry.

Grief by mantis 2015-04-21T10:27:00

So you have basically made a Super Meat Boy in less than three days. Impressive.

Character physics is interesting. I had problems with controlling this high acceleration and inertia at the beginning, but it all makes sense now.

Btw, doctor's pixel art and the whole intro are pitch perfect.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

URBO by hadesfury 2015-12-18T22:22:00

Graphics are terrific, but it was hard to figure out what district do the question marks belong to (and it was a very important aspect of the game).

Psychra by Noah Ratcliff 2015-12-15T19:05:00

Great music and atmosphere. Like a walk in a surreal forest.
Also, it teached me that my Alt keys are in terrible condition.

Great Nation by StuffBySpencer 2015-12-15T17:04:00

Great idea, it's like Europa Universalis realm decisions made arcade :D. It would be even more interesting if we had limted time for making decisions :>.

Sphere Co.â„¢ by kaype 2015-12-18T13:52:00

Good graphics and great atmosphere. The aiming is super annoying, though.

AFTER GEAR by gene-z 2015-12-17T22:58:00

I head Michael Bay wants to make a movie out of your game. What an explosion fest :D.

Alice had it easy by DraKlaW 2015-12-18T22:42:00

That's a very original gameplay for a plot driven game :D.

Immune by Terrabalt 2015-12-17T22:51:00

A surprisingly satisfying game. Made me wonder if agar.io was made on a game jam :P.

Note: your UI doesn't work properly in 16:9 aspect ratio.

A prison for the mage by Aglavra 2015-12-17T21:56:00

The gameplay came out a little bit chaotic, but in the end - I liked it. You should use this crazy jumping again, in some other project :D.

Atmosphere in this game is amazing, and if it was about some journey instead of growing plants, it would have been absolutely amazing.

SAAAM by Ogniok 2015-12-17T21:39:00

Great game. It looks amazing, and it has The Stanley Parable vibe. But the intro monologue should have been a lot shorter or skippable :/.

SUPER SCIENCE CORP by Hot Box Games 2015-12-17T22:30:00

I like that you don't know what enemy do you deal with until you attack it. So you literally have to shoot first, think later.

Rockets Hate the Moon by nodens 2015-12-15T20:07:00

This face design is a masterpiece.

Vine Runners by ss64games 2015-12-15T18:43:00

A very pretty and creative take on an idea I've seen a few times before. It must be a ton of fun when you have somebody to play with :D. I like that you can start a new game in a blink of an eye.

Unicell Manager by PanKamil 2015-12-15T18:35:00

I'm really glad you enjoyed our game.

And yes, it's the only way to save your nucleus – sacrificing other organella. Also, it was fully intentional that you can't build anything when all your protein vacuola get destroyed :).

Let Me Explain by OwT 2015-12-17T22:15:00

Your art looks amazing and, together with the music, it creates extremely dark atmosphere I adore. Also, it has some silent movie poetry in it - with vignetted details, and long, quiet moments. Good job!

Frog Trucker by zephyel 2015-12-16T15:39:00

Use the 'Fantastic' quality setting if you want to play in slow motion ;)

Shoot & Dash by thesnake91 2015-12-18T13:41:00

Nice game. Two key conrols don't feel forced at all. Also, I didn't think I would get dizzy playing a 2D game :P.

PATRYOSHKA by -SPiRiT- 2015-12-15T16:38:00

In the Windows download, you have put an .exe file, but not the Unity _Data folder ;P. It can't possibly work.

Human Invasion by zamotany 2015-12-17T22:03:00

Brilliant idea, and great execution. Honestly it, doesn't even feel like it needs more enemy types - obstalces on the way totally make this game, forcing you to play the strangest hide and seek.

Stargazer by NuclearCellar 2015-12-15T16:35:00

Atmosphere in this one is amazing :D. The gameplay structure reminds me of a snowy version of Ethan Carter. Anyway, I had difficulties figuring out how to solve the puzzles in the beginning.

LD38 — A Small World

ATLANTIS by OccultOne 2017-05-18T12:30:30Z

Visuals and music are great, but the controls are so counter intuitive that I had to watch your video to know how to do anything. Especially the fact that your action menu is somewhere on the side of the screen (so it's hard to notice it even appeared); or that there is no visual feedback what character is currently selected (there should be at least some circle on the current character's tile). Walking towards a tile should be a default action, and the action menu should be just for choosing something else. Also, turn end doesn't belong in the list of a single character's actions. UI is very important in such games, so it was a major problem for me.

Dots In Space... by davision 2017-05-13T20:06:29Z

A very good entry. Number of possible settings is uncanny, and I almost missed it because I didn't want to pause it with Esc. XD

The game my team made during this jam is based on a quite similar idea, so I really appreciate your gravity simulation :). Anyway, I think the environment is a little bit too static, and after getting rid of all the minor planets it all comes down to just finding one angle and shooting cannons as fast as possible. I couldn't play with a living person though, so I just guess it's not an issue when playing with friends. I guess it's also the reason why there's no mouse controls; they would make it a lot easier to control the gun. By the way, it's great there's an AI in this game.

Congrats!

Shelton's Detour by Dining Philosopher 2017-05-11T17:47:30Z

The idea of heat-based jump height (and heat-based survival) is great, but it mostly meant just waiting n seconds to cool down while avoiding annoyances. I wish this game had some more forgiving level design at the beginning, just so I could screw around a little more with this fun concept. I hope I will see this design explored further, maybe in your next project :)

Anyway, I also liked the idea of round world, and the humour you put into it. It also has quite nice jumping mechanic, and graphics, especially for a browser game.

Quantum Frustum by nusan 2017-05-13T09:44:19Z

That was insane. I loved it :D It's a very nice twist on those puzzle games where you are changing the level layout with levers and buttons, but here you just have too look away, so it's a lot faster and convenient. You don't even have to realize those are puzzle.

The graphics are great and match the premise perfectly, but they gave me some framerate issues on a relatively strong computer.

Anyway, the level design is great, and I'm really impressed you managed to create something so huge during compo. Congrats!

Sandelipe Boxenan by MestreRothLD 2017-05-11T18:19:36Z

This game has a deep and well-thought gameplay, that is also not overcomplicated. I needed some time to come up with an actual strategy, but I knew what I was doing all the time. It also has some nice, consistent graphics that make is all easier to comprehend, and a suitable difficulty level for its 60 seconds time span. A very good entry!

Divine Marbles by pankamil 2017-05-02T21:58:47Z

Thanks for playing, @yirggzmb, I'm glad you enjoyed it :). After seeing your comment, I fixed this issue and released a post-jam version. It also has new character portraits, and some minor bug-fixes.

The Underventure of Polin by manolo_rei 2017-05-12T15:47:36Z

The graphics and audio are super-cute, but it's a shame you have to repeat such a huge level everytime you die. Quite frustrating.

Also, I think that controls would get a lot better I could just see my cursor, and point the direction with it. It's clear this is exactly how it works now, just the presentation is not right – my invisible pointer can be all over the place and I have to guess where it is now, just by looking at how fast the direction dot changes place.

Clean the Dorm by fangzhangmnm 2017-05-18T12:06:40Z

Great mix of 2D and 3D graphics. Moving in this world was very interesting; the fact that elements of the world were actually sprites was almost imperceptible. Models, animations and music are super cute. I also liked the way you are moving from one area to another; it was very immersive and funny, but I can't exactly explain why.

I think that if you already have a wave system, it would be nice to make it an actual tower defense. The only way to loose now is to be bitten by a basically rail-moving insects, so it quickly becomes too easy.

Very good entry though.
