Your game was pretty interesting and the animations were quite good.
Start screen was nice with the controls laid out.
Intro looked really nice with all the blocks falling together. I really liked the percentage at the end.
Cool idea! Coherent looking, I like the 'light', fun atmosphere as well. I can't for the life of me work out a strategy to get my population very high? Should I be feeding the predators? Trying to keep them away from the little ones? Not sure - but had a lot of fun trying to work it out. Like the ranking at the end as well!
Well done, thanks for sharing!
Really liked the graphics and the music on this. It was also nice to have the comparison when the game ended. On the negative side, I'm not really sold on the gameplay... Everything seemed to happen too fast and it wasn't really clear which ones you were supposed to save/control. Cheers!
Loved the animations of the menus and creatures. I appreciate the amount of depth that the game has, where it always feels like I can be doing something to improve. Showing how you did relative to everyone else is a good touch as well. Great job, I loved it.
This was a really well polished game, super pretty and really slick menus, took me a while to realize that the aim was to get a high population and instead just tried to get as many things to eat each other lol
Once I realized the aim was for a high population, I found it was very difficult to outside influence this and that you tend to just reach equilibrium, fluctuating between around 12 and 18 creatures. As a simulation this is great, but actually trying to influence the game in a meaningful way seemed difficult
I love your concept for this game. I myself have wanted to try to do something like this as well. The audio and visuals are really well polished. However there isn't really much you can do in the game as a player. It is really cute to watch however.
I got to 21, not sure if that's good or not. Great music. I love the general visual look. Everything seems well polished and put together. Not sure what triggers the end of the game but I just tried to get the highest population I coudl before it ended.
Really neat concept for a game. It's pretty cool watching all the creatures roam around and eat each other. The visuals are pretty nice and the menus look really slick. The music and sound effects are great too. If there was any improvements that could be made it would be to give the player some more meaningful ways to interact with things. My best score was 29.
What a fun and unique game. The audio was especially well done, and the graphics were good too. Not sure if there is any difference gameplay-wise between being eaten and lair escape - both seemed to reduce my population.
The first time was apparently the charm - got 46 on my first play, didn't break 40 after that. Beginner's luck.
Better to use soft colors.
Interesting idea. The sounds and graphics had a very holistic look already and conveyed a nice mood! You really like those little critters. Score of 47
This game has a deep and well-thought gameplay, that is also not overcomplicated. I needed some time to come up with an actual strategy, but I knew what I was doing all the time. It also has some nice, consistent graphics that make is all easier to comprehend, and a suitable difficulty level for its 60 seconds time span. A very good entry!
I really like the idea, art, and music - that is perfect. But I think that gameplay is not clear. Too many things happening and it seems best strategy is just clicking lairs as fast as you can. IMHO clicking to spawn is not needed and you can spawn with a cooldown - that will remove one point of attention from a player, while will force him to pay attention to what is happening with creatures.
Anyway, Great job - that type of games with inderect controls are my favorite ones.
Awesome Game !!! Easy to understand but still chalenging! I like that stating against average users! Furthermore, the music really sets the rigth tone, u guys really got it! :D
Cool concept! I like the simulation aspects but I wish there was more time per-game to really dig into it and get a feel for how to do well. There's also a bit of a conflict between the simulation aspects and the click-to-spawn mechanic - it seems like there was more possible depth in managing the ecosystem but I could maximize my score more effectively by just clicking and spawning a bunch at the lairs. Presentation was good btw, nice graphics & music. (I felt really bad when I grabbed a yellow creature to sacrifice to a starving red and it made an adorable baby noise...) My high score was 45. Great work!
