LD28 — You Only Get One

KOSMOTROT by Todd Luke 2013-12-17T06:05:00

Solid, quirky, and most importantly, it's fun! Loved it!

Aggrogate by halogenica 2013-12-17T08:23:00

One of the more innovated entries I've seen from a pure gameplay perspective. Solid puzzle solving action that I'm pretty sure will cause more than a few sibling fistfights. Well done!

Wraith by AgentParsec 2013-12-22T01:14:00

Very much extremely terrifying. A perfect score for mood from me!

Y.O.G.O HARPOON by 30dogs 2013-12-17T21:10:00

Really cool defense game, and quite challenging trying to keep up with your harpoon and enemy movements. I had fun!

Natural Sheep Care by nka 2013-12-19T00:31:00

Solid entry all around, great work in every category!

Digital Toilet World by Alex Higgins 2013-12-18T23:48:00

Very funny use of the theme! Reminds me of the games that shipped with early versions of windows back in the day, and of myself after eating Chipotle, lol! Great work!

You Only Get One You by mutuware 2013-12-16T18:35:00

Well done all around! Props!

The Colosseum by CryoGenesis 2013-12-16T18:43:00

Insanely fun!

One Move by Flyinpig5 2013-12-19T17:57:00

Ouch! So hard to win at, but oh so nice to look at! I think I'm going to need an easy mode to beat this one...

Get over here! by Nisshoku 2013-12-16T22:51:00

Seriously one of the most fun and innovative boss fight mechanics I've seen in a while. The squire is pure brilliance. This needs to be a fully realized game. Like, right now. :)

Casting Call by OnlySlightly 2013-12-17T06:11:00

Very entertaining, and what a nice interpretation of the theme!

Treasurequest by andrewkennedy 2013-12-19T07:49:00

Love the art-style! I'm currently obsessing over the same sort of thing myself, so this game goes straight to the reference folder! Fun game, and very well polished, great work!

Anomaly One by Doccrazy 2013-12-17T21:37:00

That train! LOL! Cool graphics, and it was fun using the physics to really get some speed up. Great work!

Die Already by eteeski 2013-12-18T17:01:00

Really dug that old-school PSX N64 style! Nothing quite like tossing a 100 knives and then dumbly walking right into them, lol!

Rations, Please! by CosmicAdventureSquad 2013-12-18T23:58:00

So much feels! Simply phenomenal work here, congrats!

Desperado by ShellfishGames 2013-12-16T18:56:00

Solid concept and super-fun to play. I had a bit of trouble telling when the blues were on the hill or not (maybe a color change or angry face animation? I loved how the gui was part of the landscape.

John Power by Anoarith 2013-12-16T17:43:00

Controls were tight and responsive, and what a catchy tune you selected there! I had fun playing this one!

Sand Fighter by sapermysz 2013-12-16T17:51:00

Great use of the theme! Wish there were crosshairs, I was too scared to shoot sometime.

You Only Get One Cube! by cwkx 2013-12-17T08:51:00

Oh man, my face when the cube hit the first time... I just knew I had lost instantly, and was prepared to be aggravated... instead I was blown away! Loved the music and the lighting effects.

One Pickup One Spell - LD28 by ocirne23 2013-12-16T18:15:00

Very smooth and nice to look at. Great gameplay, tons of replayability. The music was an odd choice for the frantic pace. I would love to see this as a full game.

Agent One by DanielSnd 2013-12-19T17:39:00

This is so shiny and polished it almost hurts. Amazing sound, graphics, and presentation! Fantastic job! Nice touch with the santa thug. :)

I would love to see a first impression on my entry, thanks for doing that for everyone!

Dare to Dig! by Mirroar 2013-12-18T01:33:00

One of the most pleasingly "complete" games I've played so far! I absolutely adore this game, fantastic job!

Deep Sea Mining Company by loggs2 2013-12-18T01:45:00

Certainly seems to payoff better if you drill with a singular focus, rather than dredging the seabed, haha! Loved the graphics! A nice concept that was well executed, just need some sound and marine life to fill out the space.

Roses. by Halfire 2013-12-17T08:18:00

What a fantastic entry! Great use of the theme, art, and storytelling. Very well presented.

Tank Shooter by MrJavaFrank 2013-12-17T21:46:00

Simple, but fun! Loved the dirt particle when starting the tank.

Just. One. Second. by kbake 2013-12-17T06:32:00

Didn't have any issues running the game on my windows 8.1 machine. I did find that maximizing the window made pressing the buttons impossible. A bit frustrating because I kept over-shooting and hiding the window by clicking on my browser, haha. Played for around 25 rounds or so, shockingly addictive.

Top Heavy by 302_Dave 2013-12-18T01:51:00

Wow, much more difficult (in a chess sort of way) than it first appears. Great use of the theme and music to create a new type of gameplay!

Singular by nerial 2013-12-16T21:42:00

Awesome progression of fun and difficulty. Very solid and feels very close to a properly completed game.

One Earth by seantheartist 2013-12-18T17:10:00

Extremely well drawn and animated, simply a joy to look at! Wish I could see when/where the rigs were firing back

BL1ND by Shaun LeBron 2013-12-17T21:20:00

Wow! Extremely innovative! I've never seen anything quite like it. Great work!

One chance to save your ass by occash 2013-12-16T18:05:00

Love the concept, but I guess I'm not smart since I couldn't win a single time. Still, I kept trying over and over, so there's something magic going on here!

Dark by Dickie 2013-12-17T08:37:00

This was very simple in style, but the impact of the presentation had me genuinely freaked out!

A Stone's Throw by scoobyben 2013-12-18T22:48:00

Really great idea, and the mechanic was fairly well executed. Would have liked some sound to go with it.

One Wish by miwuc 2013-12-17T21:15:00

Awesome use of the theme! I did my best to make the world a better place, then went back and gave the material wishes and made things worse, too funny! :D

The one shot by jamesy012 2013-12-17T09:50:00

Really cool main play mechanic, but the overblown sound effect at the start was extremely jarring.

Christmas Cookie Craze by UndergroundPixel 2013-12-20T21:24:00

Beautiful art, sound, and presentation (I for one adored the CRT effect)! I had trouble seeing the dropped cookies until my third play-through, maybe some extra sparkle on those so players will know they can follow the crumb trail? The fireplace was an inspired addition, really sets the... mood! :)

One Pot by DomNomNom 2013-12-17T06:56:00

Very interesting concept! I'll be keeping an eye on this over the days ahead to see how big that pot grows...

UNDERDEEP by GeorgeBroussard 2013-12-20T04:17:00

What a solid tiny-little throw back to the "good ol' days" of 3d gaming! I had a really hard time believing this was Unity, the movement, graphics, and feel are so perfectly old-school. Well done!

Also, thank you so much for the comment on my game. Duke3D was the bombshell event in my life that led me to game development; so it's beyond amazing to know you played something I made. :)

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

You Have the Con by OccamsRazor 2014-12-08T03:34:00

So much action and drama just from a single low-fi 'console.' Really love this entry.

birdsong by managore 2014-12-09T02:03:00

Pretty much an instant classic. One of those pure gems that just needs to be shared with everyone I know. Fantastic job putting this together!

Super Flummi by Scam 2014-12-11T03:37:00

Best I could manage was screen 9 after two tries. Really cool procedural design; my 2nd play was radically different from the first. Felt like it missed out on the theme, even if it all really happens on one "screen" we needed to see it change I feel.

Is there a negative to hitting the walls? The sound and blinking scared me away from them.

Hot place by edve98 2014-12-11T03:22:00

Jumped right in without reading the how-to, so it was quite confusing when the buttons on the side didn't work. Might want to make the key-commands more easily understood in-game. Movement was confusing, but I slowly started to understand that different platforms did different things to the player. Recommend some kind of juicy feedback to let the player know something's changed. What does the slow motion gain for you? Great first effort!

BombardeAlien by Igor KinGamer 2014-12-11T03:28:00

Once I caught on to the flight mechanics, the game went from rage-quit hard, to really quite fun and humorous. Got pretty good and sliding those buggers off, just as they were jumping on. :D

Where They Once Were by Hempuli 2014-12-08T04:31:00

Mesmerizing! Amazing mood, lovely graphics. Could not get 2/3 for the life of me... Must keep trying!

Graffiti Escape by LeReveur 2014-12-11T03:54:00

Took a bit of tooling around, but I figured it out and got to the end! The in-game clues were plenty for me. Wasn't sure what the angry crab awarded me, but he gave me the will to carry on, and find the exit.

LD35 — Shapeshift

The Shinobi Trial by Foxtacy 2016-04-19T02:00:00

Dodged 10 Oni and Destroyed 20 blocks once I got the hang of the basics. Not a bad start, needs a good helping of juice to help with the feel. (Camera shakes, more vfx). Wish I could see the score during the gameplay screen. No crashes or weirdness on my end, good work!

Wild West Canyon Crusher by chocobyte 2016-04-18T02:55:00

Really nice to look at, love the style. It's hard to tell when the train is jumping, and it just feels weird that it still follows the tracks. With all the crazy twist and turns, it might be more fun to jump the tracks, so to speak.

Heroic Sex Bazooka by tsjost 2016-05-05T23:51:00

Really solid puzzle game you have here. That final level was a real mind job, but I finally got it after an embarrassing number of replays.

Transformagician by HuvaaKoodia 2016-04-29T19:26:00

I just adore this art style! The music sets to mood perfectly. Great take on this type of game, like you said it is similar to my entry, but yours has a lot more depth with the mechanic. On Level 2 I was able to complete it by simply out running the monsters, once I knew where the exit was.

Photagogue by ChuiGum 2016-04-19T13:12:00

Loved the style, did not love the control layout. Dinos had a habit of walking of the ledges making for a lot of playground for the fights.

Devil's Hand by Kuupu 2016-04-28T04:56:00

Absolutely nailed this overall; felt lacking on the shape-shifting theme, but otherwise a superbly done game.

Limber by Wefiends 2016-04-27T02:44:00

Caught wind of this from "Ludum Dare to Believe," it's so much harder than it looks, but so much fun! The music and art are on point, tons of replay value. Loved it!

RigidBody2D by Biliogadafr 2016-04-18T23:12:00

LOL! You know you have something special when it's fun to DIE in a game, and just watch the AI push your body around. Loved it!

princess, castle, etc by Steve | tacospice 2016-04-21T01:39:00

LOL, the ending(s), so much to love. There's a really solid foundation here, just a shame it's so short. Audio, mood, graphics, and humor are all top shelf.

Warping Ninja by Glockenspiel 2016-04-18T23:05:00

I really enjoyed this concept! With a few tweaks and a bit more complexity (shadow to help open/unlock rooms, etc) this would make a fine full game.

SandShifter by nesis 2016-04-19T03:58:00

This oozes with style and potential. Extremely well presented, progression with new doorways in a central hub was just so well done. Fantastic concept, really hope you expand on this one!

IT Ninja by Brian Mayberry 2016-05-10T13:43:00

Thank you so much everyone! I've copied down all of your feedback, and will be using it to expand IT Ninja into a full project.

Green Knight by PinkIndian 2016-05-05T03:10:00

Bird is OP! :D As the knight, he moves a bit too awkwardly and has too little HP to be helpful. I just waited until bird mode before flying across the levels as fast as possible, pecking eyeballs as needed. Wizard fight was awesome, however.

CatKoonBut by SojaBird 2016-04-18T23:26:00

Gorgeous, adorable, easily one of my favorites in this jam. Wonderful style and mood.

A Worlds World by Hippieshaman 2016-04-18T23:37:00

This was trippy as hell, great use of the theme! Could be used as pure nightmare fuel with VR support. :)

Polymorph by shane1090 2016-04-20T00:08:00

Solid take on this idea, very similar to my own (great minds!) I like that you actually use the shape shifting as part of the world navigation, and the alert states are really solid. Loved it!

Sunshift by guimonpa 2016-04-20T20:07:00

Quite challenging indeed, but it so smooth and fun to control. Presentation is solid, feels like a very complete game.

Robot Escape by rjhelms 2016-05-05T03:40:00

Really awesome throwback style game. I could really see myself having played this for hours as a kid on the old monochrome Toshiba satellite. The perfect blend of hard as hell, and forgiving.

Indiana Croft and the Mysterious Amulet by Dasginger 2016-04-19T03:53:00

Really clever puzzle game, wonderful art direction. One of those you can't imagine getting made in just 48hrs!

ShiftHeroes by Remicy 2016-04-23T05:15:00

Reminds me a great deal of the endless clicker games, but with a heck of a lot less clicking! Really neat idea, well executed, and fits the theme perfectly.

John Wizard by 2Bit 2016-04-21T01:35:00

Great story, awesome core mechanics!

Transmopig by CodeCast 2016-04-19T03:38:00

Game looks very nice. I took personal issue with the transformation meter keeping me from transforming as much as I would like. :P

Perception by Romixal 2016-04-19T01:51:00

Such a wonderful game! After much experimenting with the "parts," I finally found the objective.

Fylgjur by Aaranos 2016-05-05T02:50:00

There's a certain satisfying fluidity to this game. It's way hard to hit those pesky birds with any of the combos that I could find, but otherwise a solid entry!

The Void Walker by Ethan Allwood 2016-04-19T04:11:00

Great design and progression, expertly executed. Not much to add aside wanting to have offensive and defensive controls while airborne.

Henkan Pachinko by AnaGF 2016-04-26T01:33:00

Just about the perfect entry. Nailed all the categories, and there's really only nit-picks to make about the details, solid entry.

Skate Shifter by Chaoslab 2016-04-26T01:49:00

This was like a crazy acid trip, I have no idea what was going on, but I kinda liked it. :D

Pathway by FiSilva 2016-04-18T18:00:00

I just adored the art and feel of this game. Puzzles were quite challenging. Just need a bit more hand-holding on how to transform, otherwise this was an awesome game!

Eggplant’s Dynamic Chimerization by DAT.NOT.MY.GAME! 2016-04-20T17:34:00

Nailed the presentation, absolutely killed it. Unfortunately I'm joining the choir on having no idea what I'm supposed to be doing, but it sure was fun running around making a mess!

Douglas' Escape by pirate_shell 2016-04-20T00:18:00

Solid graphics, sweet animation, hard as hell! :)

Amelie the Amazing Amazon by Matzigon 2016-04-20T00:27:00

With some juicing, this could be a really great beat'em up! I got 57 and died on a mountain of bodies like a champion. It was awesome.

Formorph by Solocov 2016-04-20T17:10:00

Man, this was HARD! The kind of hard that makes you keep trying until you WIN. Had a lot of fun playing :D

Aqualution by DevDad 2016-04-26T02:19:00

Had some slight issues with the camera, but otherwise this was really fun. ESC to quit made me really sad. With the style of the game, I didn't mind the slightly larger download size. Nailed the mood for me.

Inner Beast by 4B 2016-04-19T03:34:00

I was able to start the game and get beyond the menu. However, I was not able to collect the bones no matter how much I tried. It was very difficult to move around the world, too many invisible walls. Loved the ghosts and villagers, and the overall concept is solid.

Shapeshifting Ice Hockey by LavWa 2016-04-18T03:04:00

Took me a while to learn how to aim, and it's not clear what turning into a bear does other than be completely hilarious. With some more polish, this could be a really solid hockey brawler! Good work!

AAA Wars by alexlemming 2016-04-19T01:44:00

Everything about this rules! Pure chaos and an awesome concept, well done!

Score: 115.

ChickenShift by fenwick 2016-05-05T03:22:00

I enjoyed the graphics and animations, the music was a bit too relaxing for how intense the stealth action was, but it's a nice tune. I really enjoyed the change of pace in each level (got to the over head level, but it was too hard)

Bloodbearer by emielboven 2016-05-06T00:04:00

The look, sound, and feel of this game are ON POINT. Didn't feel like the theme was well represented (Werewolf is a shapeshifter, I supposed). Mad props for having such a complete project, that's also a blast to play.

Who Are You And What Are You Doing Here?? by Shatter Point Studios 2016-05-06T00:19:00

Lovely concept, but it does need a bit more polish. The overhead navigation had too many areas that were blocked that just didn't look like they should be blocked. I love how you really do need to ready and study each room before moving on.

It got Paul! And now it's coming for US!!! by UnlikelyRogue 2016-04-20T21:00:00

Spooky! I love games where you really need to study, sit, and wait to plot your next nefarious move. The mood in this is MAXED.

LightShifter by Hyden 2016-04-19T02:42:00

Great overall design, got stuck on the puzzle just after the maze. The lack of shading/light/gradients made navigation more difficult than necessary.

Liborio the Shapemancer by MightyToastStudio 2016-05-06T00:36:00

This was amazing! Solid puzzle shapeshifting, great humor, but a bit on the buggy side. Had a character pass out, and their body flew across the world on level 2.

Light Shifter Temple by SengiG 2016-04-21T20:30:00

Fantastic game overall, loved the style and gameplay. Didn't quite make the connection to the theme, but I admit that I was unable to finish the entire game.

Shapegrammer by APantaloni 2016-05-05T03:26:00

Ok, you win, "Uncle!" This game is a certain kind of genius that makes me brain no work gud. Extremely well executed, fantastic work!

55 Days by V4lesti 2016-04-19T21:48:00

Absolutely stunning work for a game jam entry. It's more complete than many mobile games up for sale! Well done, I'm very impressed. Got 5590 for my first score :)

LD37 — One room

Parts and Labor by Dynamic Panic Studios 2016-12-15T04:37:00

Simple in concept, difficult to master, and just enough goofy physics to keep you giggling. Amazing job on this one, I'm super impressed!

Andi's Moving Company by babyjeans 2016-12-14T03:37:00

Wonderful use of theme, and I adore this concept. It was really hard to learn the controls, but I kind of dig that about this type of game. Nice graphics too; overall a fantastic job!

Light in the Dark by afinkyu_Pheaky 2016-12-15T04:30:00

Spoooky game you got here! Took a while to get the controls down. It was awkward having reach so far across for my blanket and boots. Puzzles were simple, but fun. I enjoyed it!

Claustrophobia by jperlin 2016-12-14T03:30:00

Deep, dark, creepy, and hard as hell! Good job!

The Cold Cabin by Evgiz 2016-12-15T19:02:00

I love that we had similar ideas on settings, and made such different games! Great exploration, graphics, and audio. The 3D/2D effect is amazing. Presentation was so solid, great game!

Little Sandwich by NumNumDude 2016-12-14T01:29:00

Unfortunately I was unable to install/run on Windows 10 64bit.

Abberbury by Splendidus 2016-12-15T05:55:00

Rigged controls and animations, but the characters look so amazing. I jumped in blind and missed that I could block with alt :P

One passage room by Dyn 2016-12-15T05:35:00

Fantastic entry! Everything is really solid, from presentation down to core mechanics. Only bit I didn't enjoy was the control scheme.

Hedge Maze Overlord by Turkey 2016-12-27T15:46:00

Fun little maze game, the graphics were serviceable and I only found one little bug that wasn't a great big deal with placing walls too close to the characters. Kids would really get a big kick out of this game.

Quest of the Wizard by Linear 2016-12-14T01:14:00

Absolute top marks for mood, audio, and humor, but man this game is HARD! I admit that I got completely stuck in the room with the boxes; I managed to secure the orb, but there was no way for me to proceed that I could find. Chairomancer is probably the funniest/coolest villain I've seen in a while. :)

Subway Taxi by ambi 2016-12-14T00:53:00

This game is a lot harder than it looks, in a great way. Took me all of 10 seconds to wedge myself in a ditch and pop out of the world. Killed my first few passengers on accident, took a few off the edge of the map. Graphics are really nicely done. Penalty system for bad driving works well. Great work!

Shush Prowler by Zemmi 2016-12-14T04:01:00

Man, this entry was really solid... once you figured out the mechanic! That ending... stunning!

Cold Day in the Office by ceosol 2016-12-14T05:20:00

So true, it hurts! Hard to navigate, but who cares, just make'em suffer! Loved the music.

The 5th Room by ahmedmohi 2016-12-15T05:47:00

Aw man, this game is really cool! I loved puzzling out the story, figuring out each move to make following the clues. Needs a bit more "forgiveness" with interactions in general, should be able to look at interactive items and have them highlight/be clickable from a wider range.

Needle in a Neighborhood by AAGH Games 2016-12-31T05:25:00

I think that if the controls were a bit smoother, and the locations more interesting, this could be a really great idea for a casual FPS game. My time was 1:38

Legendary Legionnaire 3 - Food Massacre by banana4life 2016-12-23T22:19:00

Like some of the other comments mentioned, the controls handicapped an otherwise impressively complete game. Guest left too fast for me to hobble over and feed them.

Cozy Taxi by ocarson 2016-12-22T17:18:00

This game is just adorable, what a great tribute! Loved the take on the offspring music, did not love the camera angles. Played with my 360 controller and got 12 bunnies. The truck is a bit too loose for my taste, but it certainly adds to the challenge!

Carnival Host by JohnGalt 2016-12-14T03:49:00

I really enjoyed the emotional manipulation in this game, it sneaks up on you! Graphics in wide-screen mode can be seen in the edges, waiting in the wings as it were. Progression of difficulty was extremely well done.

Occupied by Frenchie 2016-12-27T16:06:00

Awesome, if short game. Super well presented from the top-down, well executed and fun to play. I never did figure out how to not shat on the floor XD

Giiver's Hop by MrTroy 2016-12-14T04:40:00

Overall this is an extremely solid entry. Graphics and sound are really nice, and the gameplay is fun, if a bit hard.

Booking Mama by Dege 2016-12-28T19:12:00

Extremely well rounded production overall. The learning curve is a bit too steep, but it's not impossible. Loved the art and presentation, would translate to mobile quite well I think. Great work!

King Of The Pit by pixel_maniacs 2016-12-23T01:31:00

LOL what an amazing idea! Wish I could have played, but the replay video tells the story pretty well. Great work!

Don't Stop Me by breno 2016-12-15T04:48:00

Top notch presentation and style. The game does suffer from a bit of lag when there's more objects on the screen, and the ending sequence stuttered so much it looked abrupt, and I'm not sure if that was by design. Overall, it's really impressive work, oozing with delicious minimalism style that I adore.

NPPTF - Nuclear Power Plant Training Facility by Brickkid512 2016-12-27T16:16:00

Love the humor, love the PDF manual. I would totally buy a scaled up version of this with lots of buttons to press. Great game!

Don't Escape by dringy 2016-12-27T16:33:00

Wow, that don't quit puzzle was quite good. Fantastic concept, and it was fun to play. Only problem I had was using the wads to control the text, as I was expecting mouse input.

RoomEscapeEscape by ijona 2016-12-22T16:32:00
