Brilliant as hell, 5/5.
Little funny game, I would love to see it developed further. Curious that this was a real story!
The slow movement doesn't fit well. However, idea is cool and I think it is a good base to start developing more levels. And graphics are impecable.
Awesome game, I love how you approached the shapeshifting theme.
Mechanic idea is good, it is a nice take on the theme of the shapeshifting. I don't understand how you manage to kick the enemy out of the map, though, but you have a good base to work on. Keep it on!
Great game, it is a really funny mechanic that uses well the theme. Graphics are cool too.
However, I don't understand what are the requirements to win or lose.
Cool runner and interesting theme. Nice one.
Hard and cool! It is impressive!
Cool game and polished entry. It is pretty addictive!
I like how you approached the shapeshifting theme, it is pretty funny xD
I love the theme, the audio and the graphics! I laughed hard!
Gameplay is good too, though I think the kawaii form shouldn't have a cast time for using its ability (that does not mean you should quit the casting animation, that animation is awesome)
Just an opinion, but I had a really fun time, good job!
Great game. It is addictive! Good job!
Cool game, took me a while to figure out the theme, but it is good overall. I want that yarn too hard :X
Nice game, very original and innovative idea. I love how you made good puzzles with such simplicity!
At first it was hard the understand how to play.
But later, it was cool! I love the idea of the shapeshifting UFO beam.
Really interesting idea. At first is a bit hard to understand, but I think it has a lot of potential.
Cool game, gameplay is original and addictive!
Really great game. Congratz!
Cool game, good mechanic idea.
I had a problem running the web player, had to download it
Awesome game. Please develop it further!
Flawless! Very well polished. Just a pity we can vote on Mood, it would have a good score as well
Graphics and sound are cool! I like the idea too. However, controls are buggy, so it is a bit hard to play.
Funny humour, the game is nice to play too. Controls a bit messy though.
Cool graphics and gameplay, it is a bit addictive too. Good job!
Funny and polished game. I specially like how you managed to work the shapeshifting theme.
Cool game, nice scape the room entry. I want to know how the story goes on!
Cool game. Lot of work for 48 h!
Cons: Hard to understand what to do
Pros: innovative, cool minimalistic art, nice idea en clever usage of the theme
Overall, is a good game
Great innovative game, I love the concept. However, face-recognition is complex and subjective, I saw faces that weren't considered as that by the game. But I liked it.
Since the gameplay is look-based, what about a mobile VR port? Like Cardboard or Oculus Mobile (this one works better than Cardboard). Game has very little text, it is look based and has minimalistic graphics, so I think it would be great to play it on VR.
Great entry, very polished, awesome graphics and audio.
I just think that maybe it would have been better to focus only the puzzle part or the action part, I see two good ideas mixed that would have been awesome if developed apart. But it is just my opinion, and the game is great overall
Graphics are great! Gameplay is fun too, a bit challenging but cool. Nice one!
Perfect game. 5/5
Wow, it is addictive. Really funny, good and original take on the shapeshifting theme.
I reached lvl 6! And wizard's laugh reminds me to Skull Kid, don't know why
Really good storytelling, nice graphics and nice audio. Interesting theme, mixing noir and vampires.
Cool narrative experience. Nice
Audio and graphics are stunning. It is hard to see the theme, but good work!
5/5 game. Great moving story, it made me feel sad (and sort of relieved when I saw Moth Dad...)
Nice game. I think controls could be better, clicking to move is a bit buggy, classic arrows or WASD would have work fine. It would be cool if UI popped up when you die, too.
Good game overall, nice one!
Nice entry, very innovative. You have been very brave to develop for VR! I tried on webplayer and it seems it would be very funy to play with VR.
Is there an option to make a build for mobile and controller? Maybe Oculus mobile, I know it is not the same quality but I am sure lot of people would download it.
Great game, 5/5! I laughed a lot!
Nice funny game. I think plane's controls could be perfectly UP and DOWN. The instructions are hard to read in-game because you are running a lot. However, it's addictive.
Nice entry! I think there are too much shapes, maybe 3 or 4 max would work well
Idea is good, but it is hard to understand. Colliders are a bit buggy, maybe would be better to use box colliders instead of mesh colliders.
Graphics are fresh and neat, by the way!
Hard to understand what is going on. However, the concept of the game is a nice usage of the shapeshifting theme
A bit hard at the beginning. But I specially like how you approached the theme. The game is good overall
Hey, that is a really funny game you got there. I specially like the smooth controls, and how you incorpored the shapeshifting on a 2D shooter.
I tried to shapeshift but the only thing that happened was a message that says "Cool Down". Am I missing something?
Cool game, audio is perfect, and it is easy to learn to play! A bit short, but I understand that it is a jam and it is ok if it is not long. Well done
A bit hard to attack, but hey, it is a good game. And it looks like it has a lot of work behind it.
Audio is a bit rare. Overall, the game is nice, funny level design. And yeah, lava is too hot :X
Cool little game, it is good overall and pretty funny.
Difficulty curve is well set
Awesome game! I like the way you shapeshift when you die on next levels. Nice one!
That's a bouncy crouch!
Idea is nice, theme is hylarious and art is amazing, but gameplay is a bit hard (and sometimes you get stuck on large hallways). Maybe instead of key combinations, single keys would work good.
Keep on! You have a nice base.
Cool game, graphics are neat. However, I felt as if the framerate was a bit low.
About the gameplay, it is rather interesting! I like how you made the puzzles. Only issue I see it is that It would have been nice if grabbing objects had some sort of feedback, like a glowing aura, for example.
Good job!
Yeah! I got it! The five headed man!
Nice job, original and funny idea.
I like the theme, it is funny and interesting. However, it is hard to understand how to play
Funny one, I like this humour xD
It is a bit short, and it goes slow. But it is a nice concept, this would be great for a procedural game.
Beautiful graphics and funny platformer. Nice work!
Art is amazing. Audio is good too.
Gameplay is nice, it is a funny mechanic, and the physics work good. Though maybe it could be worked a bit if you are going to develop it further (for a Ludum Dare is ok). Maybe seeing mushrooms when they are in air, or playing with how high you jump before smashing.
Really good work, very polished!
Can't comment much about gameplay, it is unfinished and I understand that.
But hey, graphics and animations are amazing, seems to have had too much work!
It is hard to understand, also there are some issues with window scaling.
It is an interesting idea, though :)
Nice game. Great idea for shapeshifting, it is pretty addictive. Audio and graphics are neat and polished.
Funny and addictive. Love the sounds xD
Maybe it needs a bit more of gameplay, but it is good anyways. Graphics and audio are awesome.
Cute game. A bit buggy, needs some polish, but it is a good base. Graphics are nice, by the way
Though there are lots of Diamonds-type games, I like how the way you incorpored the shape-shifting. Good job
Interesting game, I like how you designed it to make the player want more transformations. The only thing I see is that it is not clear what is the entrance to other maps.
Cute lil game. A bit hard to jump on big chicken mode but funny, specially when you die as a fried egg. Audio is lovely.
Really nice game, cool graphics and audio. Nice job!
By the way, buttons on the pause UI doesn't work
Amazing game! Love the aesthethics and the theme!
Really cool, addictive game. I think it would work great as a mobile game
Nice work, polished and funny. You have a good base to work over it!
Nice entry, it is really really funny, I love the idea of being the bow. And graphics are extra cute!
Awesome game! Great game design and cute graphics. Congratz
I think it is too conventional. But well, graphics and audio are good, and overall it is funny to play.
Audio and graphics are great. I like the Monster reference you told on your post! Controls may be a bit rare but it is a good game overall.
(En twitter estan haciendo una lista de juegos españoles de LD35, por si queréis apuntaros aquí https://v.etherpad.org/p/ld35jamona)
Concept is cool, nice little story based.
However, all options were always Go North, South, East or West. I like the idea of a random generated story, though. I think it would work better if you could see a small map that only shows where you have been, that way you can keep the random, but game would be clearer.
Good job
Cool little game, funny and addictive. Maybe I would quit colliders on the plants, but just an opinion, the game is good overall!
Cool entry, high innovation because it was designed for an arduino controller. However, I don't see the theme.
Music fits really well, too!
Cool little game, it is pretty addictive.
Love it, I had a great time. I want to know more about AMAZIN.
Cool game, if graphics were better it would be great, but I understand you could not because of time. Good work.
However, there are two things about builds:
-For WebGL you need to upload the zip folder to a website that lets you a player, like Gamejolt or Itch.io, otherwise it looks like an downloadable build.
-Unity WebPlayer looks like an download too, you have to upload just the .unity3d file to a web, (like the two I told you before)
Nice game, reminds me to IQ tests.
I think it would work as a mobile, changing the controls to taps would almost do it.
Nice shmup, gameplay is rather original. Graphics are nice too. I had a good time with it!
Clever mechanic idea. I love the art and the audio. Main character strongly reminds me to Old Spice ads
Cute game, creative and original idea. Graphics and audio are nice too.
I laughed ot hard, man. VERY HARD.
Since you used Fungus, I think one improvement to the game would be to add some sort of "consequences" to the choices. Maybe a little side story. Not much, because it can become a real design madness, but when I finished the first thing I wanted was to try again to see if I could have other talks! So my opinion it is that would be something technically easy (but challenging in design).
Well, I liked it. You have been brave to trying it alone!
Funny and comic, it made me laugh. Solid and polished entry!
Thanks for the comment. Ads removed, Gamejolt puts ads on all games by default, forgot to quit them
Thanks for the comments and votes!
Some of the ideas you have posted are really good, maybe I could develop this further and design more levels.
I had not enough time to make more levels, but I may upload a post-jam version some day or another!
Nice screenshot. Sometimes shit happens.
Thanks for the comments!
Well, about the title... Pachinko is a japanese gambling game, where a small ball falls in something simillar to a pinball. It is a completely random game, but we thought it could be nice a game that consists on changing a Pachinko's obstacles, so we decided to keep the reference.
Henkan means something similar "to transform". The truth is we tried lots of titles, and maybe "Henkan Pachinko" isn't coherent on japanese (because we don't know japanese), but sounded good and had some relation with the game.
Thank you all for the votes and feedback!
It has helped us to learn a lot. We have enjoyed this LD, we are thinking about making a post-jam version, though we have not much time.
Ratings are good, we thought we had worse results since this edition has had a really good level, when I was trying and voting I rarely found a game which rating should be less than 3 stars. Thanks to all the people who played and voted :)
I don't understand the game at all. However, graphics are beautiful and there are some funny easter eggs.
Cool game, pretty funny! Needs some polish but it is a good base to work on.
Cool game. Maybe a bit hard, but it has a lot of work behind it, so nice job :) Graphics are nice, too.
Inventary is a bit buggy, though.
Great game, I love the story and the message. It has a lot of work, since the town is so big a map would have been great.
Nice job!
Graphics are amazing. Game was a bit hard (or maybe I am too noob) but I was trying again and again just to see what was next. Nice one.
Loved it! 5/5
Nice one! A bit hard but cool.
Graphics are nice, however, would have been better to get all sprites from a single artist instead of mixing a lot
Nice and funny game, but it is a bit hard to control
Nice mechanic, and very polished game. It is addictive.
Wow! A bit hard maybe, but innovative. Reminds me to rubik and similar puzzkes
Love the idea, hilarious!
Look at my big flying moustache :X
Great game! One to play with tablet. It would work well as a mobile.
Cool game. Maybe audio and graphics could be better (audio is a bit repetitive), but the game is funny overall
Very polished entry, good one. Minimal graphics works pretty well, and the gameplay is funny. Maybe it could have been clearer in game how to defeat enemies
Amazing game. Nice job.
Nice game, cool theme. Looks like you put a lot of work on it!
Graphics are cute and the idea is original! It is a good game overall.
The only issue I see is that movement is a bit buggy
Graphics are really great. The mechanic is a nice idea, I think gampeplay could be developed a bit more, but you have a nice base to work on it. Good job
Love the idea, cool graphics and nice theme. However, I see it a bit hard to learn to play
Audio is a bit repetitive and graphics ara a bit messy (but just a bit, I know they are the standard assets, and the home made are not bad)
However, there is something I think you must to see: http://imageshack.com/a/img921/1512/VvXIzL.jpg
When I released that last bunch, they were 276, I don't know how many they were at the end because when I was collecting them back I accidentaly stepped on Shamus.
Objective of the game is to defeat Shamus. The game that way is good. But what I found the best of this game is farming jewels and protecting them on a large 3D environment. As you can see on the image, it is really really addictive. I think that you should develop it further, but focusing on the idea of farming and protecting, because it is funny as hell.
Good job!
Great game, it has a lot of work and depth. Good job!
Amazing game. Funny, beautiful graphics, and hylarious story.
Great game! Gameplay is very solid and it is a polished entry.
Beautiful and relaxing game. It is really similar to the entry we submitted, I think our souls are connected or something!
Gameplay is funny, needs a bit polish but level design is cool. A issue you could improve, bean inventory UI covers part of the map, it would be nice if you found a way to not.
Nice entry
A bit hard for me, but I like the idea of changing the gravity depending of the shape. It is a good base, and a cool game overall.
Cool game, really funny! I like how you designed it by rounds.
Wow! It is a great LD entry. Graphics are really original, audio is beautiful, and funny gameplay. Nice story too!
Great graphics, great fun, and great game overall. Controls are a bit messy, I think moving with WASD would be much better, but nice work.
Simple and funny! Nice game, neat and polished.
High innovation on this one. It is a cute little toy.
Sound maybe repetitive, but good game overall. Mechanics are original! And graphics are good too. Congratz to the little developer :)
Nice little game. It is hard to understand how to play, but it is a cool game overall.
Good twine game, it is a little confusing though, I think it would have been better if it was clearer what was going on, but good job
Graphics and audio creates a great ambient, it suits a lot the game. Mechanic idea is very innovative.
It would be cool if the player received some feedback when interacting with phone/coffee/computer, but it is a good game overall. It is really funny to answer akard. Nice job!
It is a cool game, in my opinion it would be better if you could see more of the scenario (right now it is hard to know where you are going) and maybe make the shifting form a bit faster.
Good job overall, art and story are lovely, by the way!
It is a bit hard to understand how to play, or what is the objective.
Art is impressive, though!
I really like the concept, story is interesting. Nice job!
Nice game. A bit hard, needs some polish, but it is a good base and mechanics are fun. So nice job :)
Nice idea, I like how you worked the possession as shapeshifting. Maybe just a bit more of speed would have worked great. Good job!
A bit hard to me. The idea is good, though.
Polished game, nice mechanics. Overall is good.
Graphics are very neat, but I would have removed the black particles because black heart becames a bit confusing. But they are good anyways
Theme is hard to see. Game is nice, funny, neat audio and neat graphics
Game is cool, would be nice if you could shoot left and right, but I understand it is because of the references. It is funny, and art is very neat, nice entry
Está chulo el juego, es divertido y bastante pulido. Podría quedar bien varias formaciones de enemigos.
Neat game, very original mechanic and good take on the shapeshifting them. Polished graphics too.
However I found it a bit difficult. In my opinion, the most hard task to do is to predict when to change between 2D and 3D, if you could anticipate somewhat when to change between dimensions it would be great.
Funny polished game! Mechanics are interesting.
Love it. Great work, it would be amazing if you developed it further!
Idea is nice, gameplay is funny too. Just a few issues:
-Maybe it would be better if you only had to click once on each shape, right now you have to click twice (one for shifting and other for shooting). In my opinion, would be better one click to shift and shoot at the same time.
-Some sort of audio feedback when you lose a life would be great!
-Maybe it would be cool if you posted the download versions, since now it looks as if the game has a web player, but when you enter the page you have to download.
Overall, it is a cool entry. Nice one :)
Funny! Beautiful and polished graphics too!
Cool game! Graphics are cute and audio creates a good ambient.
Couldn't manage to scape the dungeon, I will try harder! >:D
Good one, innovative! However, if you want to improve it you could implement some in-game feedback when you attack or hit an enemy, so the player knows if the shot has had any effect.
It is a beautiful story! A little more interaction would have been great, but it is moving. Nice one
I could not figure out who Zeus was, damnit! Poor waifu D:
Nice game, very funny concept and graphics.
Idea is good, and graphic style is pretty. However it is hard to control. But nice work.
Nice game, challenging but it is pretty addictive. Looks like it had a lot of work behind. Theme is hard to see, but good job
I had some problems with jumping. But it is a cute platformer indeed :)
Nice job, it is funny to play with shapeshifting portals. Audio is good too
Challenging and addictive at the same time. It is a really solid entry. I wouldn't change shapes between plays, I would mantain it to 4 shapes, but it is just an opinion. It is a great game!
Got 13. I don't know how someone managed to get 40 o.o
It is hard to see which is the objective. With the graphics, I would personally try to draw player's attention to the important elements of the game, sometimes I didn't know where I was. However, I think graphics have a good level, the audio is very neat and it seems it has a lot of work for 72 hours, so good job!
Nice polished game, addictive and fun. Minimal neon graphics are a plus.
I somewhat imagine this as a music game, it would work even better.
Nice work
Cute game, I like the pixel graphics. Gameplay is good, I foun a bit difficult the spikes part, but nothing to worry about! Nice level design.
Nice runner, graphics are neat for a jam, you did a nice job. Theme is cool.
I think if you blocked the camera would work better, when you turn right/left camera moves too and it is a bit messy.
Gameplay is interesting, and it has a lot of potential.
It needs some polish, and difficulty changes a lot on the fourth/five level, but it is a good entry overall and it would be great if you keep developing it :)
Game and controls are a bit laggy. Graphics are amazing, though. Maybe you could reduce lag if you used baked lightning, graphics would not be exactly the same but since you are focusing on color and solid shadows I think you could achieve something similar and have a lot higher framerate.
Audio is good too. It is a cool entry overall.
Gameplay is a bit weird, it is hard to aim if you do not see where the fish has to land.
However, art is amazing, I think handmade with marker and watercolours works really good.
A bit hard but a good mechanic idea. Art is cute and funny.
Nice game. Simple but addictive. It also gives me a good file, reminds me to mangas like Ranma and Dragon Ball
Art and audio are really good. I like the Morgana's theme.
It is a pity you could not implement gameplay, though. But I understand you had little time.
Nice game! I think the shape-matching part could work well solo, without the battle part. It is addictive
Great awesome game! Love it!
Great game. It is a pity we can vote on graphics, they are beautiful even being minimalistic. Though I don't see the theme
Nice little game, graphics are really cool! Game idea is good too. I think controls are a bit hard but good job.
Nice little puzzle game. It is hard to see the shapeshifting theme, though.
Not bad, had a nice time.
You could have focused a bit more on game design, if I am not wrong the game seems procedural. Maybe it would have been better if you did a single level where you as designers could control everything.
Graphics are really cool! Though I think if they were a bit darker they would fit better, but they are very good.
And well, I love the main idea and the story. It is a nice entry overall, so good job and keep it on!
Great graphics. Game is a bit hard, but it is good overall.
Wow... At first it is hard to understand, but it is the only flaw I see, because after a few plays you get it and it becames pretty addictive, the gameplay is really original. Also, I love the idea of the sundial, it is a really nice take on the jam's theme. And the pixel art is stunning, along with the sound it makes a great atmosphere.
I love the concept... and the frog's face :D Maybe something that could help to aim would be great, I'm not sure at all since dragging feels as if you are actualli throwing frogs with your hands, but it is a suggestion. Cool little game, nice job !
For being your first one it is really cool. More to the point, you made it alone, which I think it is already a triumph (since it is hard as hell).
I don't know exactly how you manage to make a burger, I understand that it is because it is unfinished (or maybe I am too noob xD). However it has potential, I like the idea, and the pixel art is cute too. You put a lot of effort into it. You did a nice job. Keep on developing!
It is a cool game. At the start I didn't know where to go, later it become easy, but it was funny. I like how you used the theme too (I am some sort of mythology freak). Art is not bad. I missed some sound there, but overall I think it is a good entry. You also made it alone, which is really hard, so you did a nice job!
Graphics are amazing, really good 3d art for just 72 hours. I liked the atmosphere too.
However, I find it very slow to play: you walk slowly, when you interact with objects they react slowly, and you also have to stop what you are doing and go to lit a torch, which makes it even slower (it may be more realistic, but I find it unnecesary). The second puzzle became boring because of that: you have to interact with a switch so you can go find another switch and then show another switch and it goes like that for another three or four switches, so it would have been nice if the player could do it faster, even if that means that the game has to be shorter.
On the other hand, the rest of the puzzles are nice though. And the game has a lot of work for being made in just 72 hours, it is a good entry overall.
Impressive! I felt a lot of nostalgia. I think you used the theme in a very clever way, it was really funny and immersive. I can't believe I spent like 5 minutes playing Snake xDD Great work.
Wow, great work! When I went to the computer I was not sure about what I had to do. But I like the idea, audio is cool, and of course, art is AMAZING.
Played it to the end. It has an interesting story, it made me wanting to know what happens after that. It is also a nice take on the theme, and the pixel art is amazing. Great work!
Nice game. I like the old school vibe :) It is also very intuitive, and art matches the game very well. Nice one!
Nice game. I like how you came up with the mechanic, simple but funny. Art is pretty neat too. I missed some sound though.
Really good job :D
Cool game, I liked the background story, audio is also really good.
Art is nice, specially for a jam, however it feels as if there are different styles mixed up in one game. Every asset is different from another. I mean: the main character is cartoon, the robots are semirealistic, the background art looks like a high detailed digital painted environment concept art, and the foreground elements look simpler and less detailed than the background (trees, ground, stones). Again, it looks good, but I think that it would be look awesome if it was all the same style or if you are going to combine two different styles, trying to integrate each other.
About the gameplay, it is intuitive and funny. I first tried on Firefox, I couldn't play because it was very laggy as you already guessed. So I later tried it on Edge and it was fine (YEAH, I don't like Edge neither, but it was the first one I clicked on). Sometimes the character didn't respond to the controls but I think it is because of the browser.
Overall you made a nice game, good job guys!
Really hard, those spikes are frustrating, sometimes they killed me without them touching me. On the other hand, I think the idea of having to get the parts for the purpose of building a ballista is good, the monster's movements are pretty neat. I also loved the monster's sprite. I see potential here :)
I specially like how you designed it, every level has a new thing to learn and that is really refreshing.
I found a difficulty gap, though. I reached lvl 8, I found it a lot harder than the other levels. That level is a bit frustrating too, since you can get stuck easily and the only way to get back is to reset all the level (after doing several things). Anyways, overall is a funny nice game :D
It is a cool little game, you did a good job. I love the audio, the art matches the main song well. The game mechanic is not bad, however, I found it a bit strange because the pole has to change position pressing the arrows several times. I understand you did this intentionally so it wasn't the typic piano game, but I think it would match the song's rythm better if the pole moved as in a breakout game, meaning that you would just keep pressing an arrow instead of hitting it 2-3 times, or maybe a mouse control would work too.
Anyways, it is a nice entry :D (P.D.: My score was 18500, I guess I was a bit noob)
The game may be short but I think it is normal, you only had 72 hours. You made a nice game, I love the idea of using the lens device to find out the answer, it has a lot of potentail. It is also a very polished entry: art is cool, music goes well with the game, they both create a nice atmosphere.
I liked the idea of avoiding the light as a gameplay. At first you feel a bit disoriented, you don't know exactly what to do, but on the other hand the controls are easy to learn. It was funny overall. Art is not bad, but what really makes the atmosphere is the audio, which I found pretty neat! And the background story was interesting.
I was going to point out the collision bug, but I already saw it on thhe description. At all, is a cool game, nice job :)
Cool game, I like the idea of setting an environmento to explore and investigate, so the player can come up with a theory. Art is really nice, reminds me to noir films and Sin City, however since it involves investigation it could be a bit easier to understand. But overall, a great game!
This is my theory: Mr Burnwood and Mrs Burnwood lived together. He was aware that Mrs Burnwood was going to sell to Sarah since it was on newspaper, so he prepared the himself : he made a hole through the wall of the kitchen, so he could spy on them. Mrs Burnwood and Sarah met on the living room. Mr Burnwood shot against the wall and killed the one sitting on the sofa, later he stepped out of the kitchen and shot the other one in the living room.
Now this is what I don't have clear: the dead mark on the door, which I assume is someone that wanted to call the security before dying. Blood marks tell me that she was the one sitting on the armchair, but as far as I am concerned the white dead drawings are meant to mark where they were found dead, not that someone went from one place to another before dying. I can only think that the one dead on the dead is Mr Burnwood, but I don't know how, and why there are the blood marks on the floor.
I think you used pretty well the theme, I like the point you are trying to show with the game too. It was funny to read :)
However, the gameplay you tried to add seemed a bit off to me. For example, you can press Y or N to go answer to the cat, but I had the feel that my choice didn't matter, I was trying to understand if the cat's response really depended on my choice, and before I realized that it was just a delusion it was rather confusing because my mind was not paying attention at all on the story (which is the main feature of the game). I think that if you want the player to be more than just a reader, the point is not making the player do things, but making the player feel that he/she is altering the game somewhat (even if it is false, changing just a line may work).
Anyways, maybe this is my opinion because here it is late night and the bed is calling for me. But overall the game is good, you did a nice job!
Concept is simple, but it is not bad, in fact it is pretty funny. Art could be better (ok, it is a jam, it is not that important). Audio is great, really makes you getting in the mood. Nice job overall, and congrats for making it in 48 hours :)
Somehow I imagined this as a music game, I think it could work awesome that way.
@conrad123 Thanks! I am glad you liked it.
@Thrainsa Thank you a lot! And thanks for reminding me of the slide effect. I am trying to get rid of it.
@TomBuston Thanks for the feedback :) I will try to fix the physics of the game, those platforms have some issues. Also I will think of a way for managing the clones.
@kapricornmedia Thank you! ^^ I will check the code and I will try to fix the jumping.
@Quicklyer Thanks! :DDDD
@TangoOscarMike Thanks for your opinion! I will look into the pixelated mountain background. Maybe I forgot to change it when compiling to a higher screen ratio.
@Vaiaphraim Thanks you a lot! About the running into a wall, when I designed the game at first I didn't thought about sticking to a wall. It just happened that while testing the player controller you could do that, so I let it be just in case that part was very hard. Your comment gave me an idea, I think I will add a wall grabbing animation when I make a post jam version.
@AlexanderMerk Thank you for the advice. I will try :)
@felixsoum Thanks! :)
@Digitaldude555 Thank you! I will try to fix the controls. Also, about the checkpoints, they are authomatic but it seems that there is a bug in some of them (I will check them too)
@Aaranos Thanks for your comment! I will try, maybe it could be a solution until I make the grab for the post jam version.
@atcolombini Thank you! Yes, as you said, the ancient technology is the one used to create the characters, the cloning machines, etc. It has some story behind, but it had to be showed subtly because it was a little too much information for a single level.
@Oddly Shaped Pixels Ty! Thanks too for pointing out the physics, I am trying to fix the controller and I also think making it less physic-based will help. I will try to solve the checkpoint bug too.
@Deconstructeam Thanks for the feedback! You are right too, I will look into the physics. I think it will help me to solve the problem.
@Ludipe Thank you :) I like the idea of the scrolling camera, I like also the warp points, both are very interesting. I will think about them for the post-jam version!
@Jwatt Thank you for your comment! I am trying to fix the collision thing. I'll check the camera too :)
It is a bit confusing. UI is hard to read and buggy, it needs some work. But the idea is good and it has a wide range of options, you put a lot of effort into ir! Drawings are funny too.
As I see it, I think you would have been able to finish it with more time. I see potential, it would be really interesting to see it developed further :)
Simple little game, it is pretty addictive. It is also very intuitive, easy to learn while challenging to be good at it, you did a nice job there!
Art is nice, it has a funny background too. But I think the best is the platformer design, I like the idea of playing upside-down, and you managed to balance well its difficulty while keeping the player wanting to try it again and again. Seriously, I died a lot of times, but I didn't stop playing until I managed to beat it xD Great job!
It is a cool little game. I like the idea of hiding into the horse. However, sometimes I don't understand why I go faster, or why I die, it is hard to know if it is a bug or something you decided. Maybe I would try to make it clear to the player, for example, since it is a wheeled horse it would be easier to understand the increased speed if the character is going down instead of up (gravity).
You did a good job anyways, graphics and sound makes you feel nostalgic, and it was funny no try it,
Great concept, I felt nostalgic while playing it. Good sandbox idea. Graphics are cool, too. Some audio would help with the feel. But overall you did a nice job!
Great job, I love the concept, art is pretty neat, sound is cool too, and the controls are really smooth. One of my favorite entries :D
However, although you say it was intentionally, I think a bit more of walking speed would make the game better. Even if you shoot it is impossible to not get surrounded, because (obviously) shooting a stone takes your time, and the force spell has a cooldown. Since shoots and spells need to be like this because you are an "Ancient Shooter", I think that increasing the walking speed would improve the game feel, and maybe the solution for not making the game too easy would be increasing the amount of enemies instead of keeping the player being slow.
Nice one, the jamception idea is really funny. The art is cute, all those geek details on the room are lovable.
I got addicted, damn.
It is really funny, and the best of it, you don't need any explanation or tutorial to understand how to play it. Pretty solid entry, one of the best I have tried this LD.
By the way, graphics and audio are nice too, they make the whole game seem as one of those old ninja arcade.
It is a bit buggy but it is interesting as a new form of breakout game. I think it has a lot of potential (maybe enabling movement, or multiplayer?), if I could vote I would rate the innovation pretty high.
