Interesting idea. Room 9 is unbeatable for me... maybe I should change hat? :)

puppetmaster 2016-04-18 22:40

Thanks for your comment, its a bug. It's fixed in last version.

luquio 2016-04-20 22:27

nice entry!

ggaliance 2016-04-23 22:04

Good music. Good mechanics. :D Good challange. The blue circles can pass through the wall a bit.

bazkur98 2016-04-23 22:49

Not bad, a bit difficult perhaps.

rnanoware 2016-04-23 23:27

Very polished game! I found that the hitboxes sometimes felt a bit small, but overall I greatly enjoyed my experience going through the 10 rooms. Ended up skipping room 10 after about 3-5 minutes of trying simply due to time constraints, but given a bit more time I totally would have played through the whole thing!

mayank-technical 2016-04-23 23:39

Nicely drafted game with cool graphics n sound

chronocrab 2016-04-24 00:18

Great music, fun gameplay, and a nice feel to the game. The atmosphere was pretty cool. I like the idea, though the rooms started to feel a tad cluttered and it got a little tough trying to sneak my shots into overlapping enemies. Still, well done.

fabraz 2016-04-24 00:30

That's one intense Zelda perspective. :)

strike 2016-04-24 05:23

I would have love to be able to aim at 360° instead of being locked into 4 direction. At least that what seems natural with mouse aiming. Except that, very fun game to play. I especially love how if you shoot yourself by mistake you'll change appearance. Good job guys.

hunttis 2016-04-24 13:10

Aiming was a bit difficult (wasn't always clear to me when a shot would land) and I kinda wished I could see the requirements for the level from the beginning of the level. Maybe show the whole level all the time?

Nice work anyway, enjoyed playing it :)

dat_not_my_game 2016-04-24 13:13

A really fun game with nice music. Level 10 was pretty hard.

stanov 2016-04-24 13:20

Loved that! Lot of action, bit of puzzling, cool audio and graphics...

Just one complain - the wizard could have shoot diagonally too :)

aaranos 2016-04-24 14:27

Great game. I like the added touch of being able to hit yourself and change your hat.

apantaloni 2016-04-24 20:25

Nice graphics and sounds, the controls works well, good game overall!

knason 2016-04-24 21:03

nice hat, :) I liked this game!, really great graphics. Well done!

sunflower 2016-04-24 21:12

The gameplay isn't particularly creative, though a twist with watching the shapes' change and striking at the right moment was nice. I quite liked the audiovisuals, too (especially the animation).

Overall, maybe not outstanding, but pretty solid entry nonetheless.

bubuiic 2016-04-24 22:10

itch.io is so incredibly sloooow. It takes 20 minutes here to download the game :-(.

This was a nice game. Graphics and Audio were great, the was a bit short though. And I managed to hit a bug at the end I think. I died twice and on the third retry the shapes stopped moving. This made beating this level quite a bit easier.

chaserbrown 2016-04-25 19:51

Wow! This was really well done! The game felt easy at parts, and I managed to get through the whole thing in 5 minutes without getting hit once, but it was overall great in almost every way - the art, the music, and the gameplay! Great job!

gord10 2016-04-25 21:57

Good job! Mouse shooting should had been 360 degrees, though.

glaze_96 2016-04-26 10:43

Wow, nice!
Had a really fun time playing this! Good difficulty curve too. Had me hooked. Took a while to finish the last room, but I made it!

smilingcat 2016-04-26 18:44

Loved it! A lot of fun. Great job!

jcmonkey 2016-04-26 22:45

nice game, but it felt weird without diagonal shooting. but that could be just me. and i couldnt get past the last level in the 64bit version.

puppetmaster 2016-04-27 20:31

Thanks for the comments and votes!

|- shoot 360° or diagonally -|
We have tested the idea to shoot 360° or diagonally during development but with the moving pattern of the enemy you don't need to move and the game got to easy.

|- post jam -|
In the coming post jam version we will change the moving pattern and add more enemy styles to archive more variety.
The 360° shooting will be back in our focus.

We are happy to see everyone having fun.

geckoo1337 2016-04-27 21:53

Nicely drafted game with cool graphics and sounds. Gameplay is fun. I assume that you could do something really impressive with more time, but it's good enough. Well done ++

anaguilefdez 2016-04-28 08:05

Cool little game, it is good overall and pretty funny.
Difficulty curve is well set

xanjos 2016-04-29 23:50

Concept was pretty interesting and I loved the background music (plus it was funny how your hat changes if you get hit by your own spell).

jacob2512 2016-04-30 05:24

Most amazing game so far... just the right amount of challenge and great music!

in3orn 2016-05-01 13:22

I love this game! So sad it has only 10 levels :(

I think you could try to extend it by some logical clues like portals, mirrors, blocked paths, etc.

Please, let me know if there's another/official/full version in the future.

Ps. I've written about it here (may be interested):

Good theme usage! It's difficult to spot the code to open the door at first.

evanegibbs 2016-05-05 07:03

Fun game! I loved the idea that it is the enemies that are changing shape. :) I think it would have been nice to be able to see the shapes you needed to get at the beginning of the level, but that's a minor nitpick. Overall the game is very charming! Great work. :)

wertle 2016-05-05 19:18

I really liked the moment I figured out that I had to "freeze" the shapes in the right ones to exit the room, it's a fun and simple premise. I would say I kept getting thrown off expecting to be able to shoot diagonally because I (and the enemies) could smoothly move on diagonals. I'd be curious if locking movement to the grid would clear up that confusion and still feel good to move around. Also, maybe bumping the projectile collision just a bit - I often felt I was lined up pretty well with an enemy but the projectile would zoom by. It felt really good when I got an enemy by my projectile bouncing off the wall, those were nice little moments. If you keep developing, that could be a fun advanced thing to play with down the line. At one point I was naked with a jester hat and I had no idea why. The lighting I think really made this stand out, especially with the effects on the projectile, etc. Nice work!

pixelpotions 2016-05-05 20:18

Very challenging (I don't like to say it's difficult, I prefer to say challenging because I had lots of fun trying to beat it!) but this is the charmy on the game!
Loved the graphics and mechanic too, great job at all!

ragnta 2016-05-08 08:21

Nice game. I want more level! :) I think, you can develop a multiplayer mode to the game. :)

oxysoft 2016-05-08 13:24

relies too much on rng. imo, for all that rng, you should have been able to do more precise aiming rather than just all 4 orthogonal directions. music was very good too

cabezotta 2016-05-08 15:49

Solid entry! Good work! :)

wg_phancock 2016-05-09 08:51

I liked the music a lot. I felt like there was a little bit of disconnect with the mouse pointing and only being able to shoot up/down/left/right. It felt like I should be able to shoot at any angle if I'm aiming with the mouse. I think the controls probably would have worked better with a binding of isaac style twin-stick setup, like WASD to move and arrow keys to shoot.

abuzreq 2016-05-09 16:28

Impressive graphics , the game had a balanced difficulty and were easy to learn .The main mechanic is solid and the idea that shapes regenerate again and that you lose some of the shapes you need to open the door created a good tension.
Well done!

I know it's month after the event, but maybe you'll be happy to hear that you're 2nd in my top 10 LD35 summary list :)
