Made with processing! I've used it before. I like the song and the fractals. I think that the screen starts side scrolling a little too close to the edge, making it difficult to prepare for incoming wolves.
A fellow lover!
Made in C? Sounds difficult for making a game in 24 hours. Only git hub source?
oooh, you are so evil! Great game! I like the title as well.
He moves a little too fast. I like your music though.
I love how wide screen the game is! Also, nice music.
Cool game. I think the graphics could use some work, and it's hard to tell how much each unit costs. Also, does the game get destroyed properly? I closed the tab and the music continued to play and I had to end the java process. Could be just me though.
Clowns are scary! I only missed one bunny on round 1!
The game is a bit confusing to figure out at first.
A fellow lover! I like how well polished the music/art is and the game mechanic is quite unique.
I like the sound effects!
Lol, this game is fun.
I like the combat mechanics. The police seem a little too hard to kill.
I like how polished the art and music is! It took me a second to figure out how to play though.
Strangely addictive.
I see it's made in Java. Why is there no visible frame? Kinda strange... Also it took me awhile to figure out how the game worked. The robot is small and hard to see at first.
Nice and shiny. :)
Great! The graphics are nice as always. The music was also a nice touch.
Woah, I love the art and game mechanics!
It looks really awesome.
lol, hipsters. XD It's a little gory though...
I really like your name. XD
I love the graphics and minimalism game play!
lols... So, deep. XD
soo totally meta! XD
I love the music and the game mechanic!
boo! File doesn't exist. :/
woah, that was pretty great. I killed Bobby and Craig though. XD
hmm... I couldn't really hear the sounds and there isn't really an interesting game mechanic. At least it looks cool! :)
I'm not sure if your game works the same way, but I made something similar to this once. You had to get 5 in a row as opposed to 6.
WOO! PHYSICS!
Awesome. But it's soooo hard. XD
Looks nice and it's fun to play. :D
Interesting. I kinda like the desert/middle eastern theme you have going on there. I don't really like how it's made in Unity though, but whatever. :P
Interesting. :)
Nice. I love the sounds.
ooh, typing game! :D
Nice one.
Woah, nice innovative idea for a platformer. :)
Awesome idea!
Nice! :)
The controls are a little weird. Reminds me of super meat boy. :)
Actually a pretty awesome platformer! :D
I really liked it. I think if you added a timer and tightened the controls to make them feel more twitchy it would be really awesome.
Awesome idea! :D
Lols, reminds me of a surgeon simulator type of game.
I liked the music. What programming language did you make this with?
Wow.. that was neat. :)
Looked good. Same as others, not really sure what I was supposed to do?
Wow, so many good platformer games this Ludum Dare. :)
Ha, that was awesome. I liked the art and sounds... except there's a huge audio glitch when you get to the sumos.
Nice one! I like the graphics and the game mechanic. The level seems a little small though.
:3
I do like the music. :)
Awesome
Woah... interesting. Makes you think about life.
ugggh, the dialouge!!!! Pretty cool other than that though. :)(
Yes! A Star Wars themed game. I like the style and sound effects. Reminds me of a Strong Bad sketch or something. It took me a bit to figure out what the controls were. You should check out my game because it's kinda similar. I was unaware of agar.io until my sister told me about it.
It's pretty fun.
@dekart Thanks for the feed back! I will keep these things in mind while I work on the postLD.
@grifdail Press SpaceBar! Sorry, I should have made clearer.
@Rys0n yeah, the only way to reset is by refreshing the page.
@JamesMowery
Thanks! I plan on doing a postLD. I'm going to take this concept and try to make it the best I can possibly make it.
Looks awesome. Sounds awesome. Feels awesome. Everything is awesome!
Wow, I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Great use of two button controls. Excellent graphics and audio. Bonus points for an abundance of particle effects!
Thumbs up for HTML5!
Looks really good! Reminds me of Star Fox (which I loved). To me the sound effect when you hit a rock sounds like a harmless bounce.
I played this game for like five minutes until I suddenly realized that since there is no scoring system there isn't really any incentive for me to play for a long time. Plus, I'm pretty sure I do way less multitasking than I already do. :P Good game though.
Looks and sounds really good.
I won! Something I'm noticing about a lot of games is that instructions are not clear (this applies to my game as well). I stood at the fire and just kept pressing x without knowing what was happening. Fortunately I leveled my hammer pretty high and won!
I'm disappointed that I wasn't able to play Hack Life 3.
I can't get over how gross the beer opening part is. I think the sound effect is what really makes it.
I love airplanes... O_O
I would love to try this on local multiplayer
I like the use of more mass = more force.
Sorry. ^above comment^ was meant for a different game. This game is cool too though. I like the hand drawn style.
I didn't get the job.
Nice Documentary!
Nice game. Only problem is I don't like bugs. :(
Honestly when I saw the thumbnail as "Don't clog the..." I thought this would be a toilet humor game. It's interesting though. Controls that invert direction every time is something I was originally going to try.
ohhh noooo... a co-op game? That means to go find someone to play it with. :P Seriously though, it's a good idea. Would be better with sound. Also maybe if there was a challenge to picking up weapons.
Wow, excellent audio and visuals. Short and sweet. I like it.
Nice! At first I just thought it was a Pac Man clone but I actually really like the idea behind the game mechanic.
Pretty challenging
A fun game with pleasant graphics and sounds. I would love to try this with another person later.
I like the use of more force = more mass
This is amazing!
Thank you to everyone who has played my game so far! I really appreciate the feed back. If I haven't played your game yet I will make sure to play it before the weekend is over.
@varuns Thanks for the suggestions, I am trying to think of ways to make the phones look more interesting.
@fabraz Yeah, I realize a lot of people get upset at linearity. If I expand on this I will definitely add more possible paths and endings.
@danoli3 HECK YES!
@ciodavinci Thank you! :D I am definitely considering expanding on this.
@blinry great suggestion, now I just have to figure out how to make that work.
@Red_Fan games Uhhh...
@cakeknuckles thank you!
@TeamScripta thank you! I'm glad to have made a game with some humor.
@Flygamer101 Thanks!
@abcdef65g Thank you. I haven't played very many visual novels so maybe that helped? Yes, the code for this is a NIGHTMARE! Starts out horrible in chapter 1 and gets slightly better for each chapter. Hopefully I can figure out a much more efficient way to do this.
@tomlum thank you! I knew this game had to have sound for it to be any fun.
@UltraRat Glad it made you laugh.
@katekligman Thank you! :D
@siryakko Did you get to Chapter 3 and did you lie and say you were Dave? The theme is meant to be you "shapeshift" into someone else when you switch phones and say that you are Dave from Bungie.
@Green Soda Thank you! :D
@MatMortatti it's meant to be that you the player shape shifts if you choose to pose as Dave from Bungie. You shape shift from "Todd" to "Dave". It's kind of meant to demonstrate how easy it is to use technology to be someone you're not. Anyways, thanks for playing! I hope to polish this game up for a postLD.
@AnaGF Yes, it's based off two friends of mine. I'm interested in non-fiction through games since there aren't many.
@Bobsleigh Yeah, I noticed after watching some people play that the story can be confusing. I will try to improve that.
@Jupiter_Hadley Thanks for playing Jupi! I really appreciate it. Since this is an online Jam I don't get to watch a whole lot of people play my games.
@Digitaldude555 Thanks for playing! You must be the 50th. The Jam rules say it's not recommended but it's allowed. If I get the chance to make a postLD version of this I would probably take them out.
Ugh, jamming on a chromebook sounds awful unless it was a Pixel. I think it's good that you still made a game though.
I really like this interpretation of shapeshifting
I really like the design of this one.
I think it's a good start. Not a whole lot here. None of the costumes seem to be different. Good job on not letting life stop you from entering though.
Nice job, very challenging
I love the art in this game!
Pretty fun, I actually played as the jet quite a bit at first.
When I saw @FloatingGhost compare this to Super Hexagon I knew I had to play it! Fun game. Cool timelapse too, I like how you show what the game looked like in real time in the corner.
This is pretty cool, I love skateboarding. Hope you expand on it!
Man, that thirty days flew by so quickly. Nice story!
I was looking at my first LD entry recently and I wrote "Sorry about how buggy everything is" ha! I did run into a bug in your game where I spawned under the platform when I shapeshifted into the butterfly thing. The art is really cool though! Especially the water color background.
I'm scared to run it, it's asking for admin privileges. O_o
@kitty553 Wow, I just got home and played it and I'm really sorry now. At first I didn't realize why your screenshots included the entire desktop. Also didn't realize it was a Game Maker installer that need run as admin. Love the concept!
I think the music in this game is fantastic.
I thought the floaty thing mechanic was great. Especially how the music slows down when you use it.
I read your blog post, I think it's great you made something you're super proud of.
I hate broccoli so much. I can't believe I fell and couldn't get up, I was looking so fit!
My highscore was 11200. I think this would be an alright game for mobile if all you had to do was touch the correct shape.
I hope you continue to bear down on this game.
This game is surprisingly hard. For those wondering how to exit, use alt+f4!
I read your note in the folder, might I suggest using .txt instead of a word document?
Also, I'm pretty sure that in the unity player settings you can set any default resolution you want. Edit>Project Settings>Player
Anyways, nice game. I like the cubes and the sound effects. I like the interpretation of the theme, shapeshifting into different states of water.
Looks cool!
Looks good, the faces are really cute. Wish I had someone to play it with.
I saw your posts about working towards a steam release, so here are my suggestions. I think you should be able to choose your second shape. It would be fun if you were able to change from a triangle into a circle that could roll real fast down the Triangle of Death into your opponent. Also, the grey arena tiles are pretty boring and can be made more interesting.
Just out of curiosity, why are you switching from Unity?
Hope you make it!
I love how well this fits with the theme. The quotes from Trump about changing really nails it.
I played this for a good five minutes. So depressing. .___.
The music is very calming.
I liked it, I thought the tutorial was pretty good. My one suggestion would be show what each number button does in one of the corners.
I played on windows but I see that it would probably be much better on my phone.
I might try it there later. Why don't you have Android listed under "Downloads and Links"? I think it would make it easier for people.
I got 83.05 seconds the first time
I think this is a unique idea for a rhythm game. I like the music.
Like others have said, trying to follow the rhythm feels a little off for some reason. I suggest making the instruments that coincide with the beat being followed louder that the rest of the song. Also, I think it could help if the drums didn't play when we missed the beat.
Sometimes I feel like my entire life is just spent staring at loading screens. I'm super excited to see a game that plays with that though. Very challenging.
Really fun puzzles! I'm not really sure why, but there is something about this game that makes depth perception difficult. It might just be due to the lack of textures and shading. Regardless, great job! I would love to see a post-compo version of this with sound.
Wait, so I'm a little confused here. This game is only multiplayer? I played it first and came back to read that. Now I feel back for walking out half way through my first game. I went back and played a full game and won! gg Jared.
It's so hard. :O Fun game! :D
I really like the one button mechanic. I definitely got too easy once I figured out how to play though, although I see you added something to counter that in the post jam version. Nice art!
Beautiful game. I love how this is based on true stories. I'm really interested in telling non-fiction stories through games. I also appreciate the message! If you hate what you do material things certainly don't make up for it.
Nice little game, I love Rosie!
Thanks for entering Ludum Dare.
Nice and gory. I like it.
Nice! It's pretty fun. Definitely add the restart button.
I like the idea! I was also thinking about doing some sort of tetris platformer but I couldn't quite figure out how to implement it. Good job!
