lol this was fun, saw it on Noaksey's stream and wanted to try it. Clever concept and lots of polish esp given the time limit! Nicely done!

Tselmek - No prob, changed the link to a ZIP file instead of EXE :)
muromets/chikun - Thanks! I had ideas for stuff like if you collect the same gun in a row that group will become more powerful than normal and some guns in the stack could have negative effects like shooting a homing missile back at the Player so collecting the guns becomes kind of a Tetris mini-game in itself but I spent too long on the art instead of the code lol Gotta' manage my time better next time.
This is amazing especially given the time limit! You nailed the mood. I liked the GUI/interface in general too, nice and straight-forward interaction with the environment. Great work! Would love to see this turned into a full game.
It's a cool idea for an educational game, it would have been a lot more fun to learn to type this way in school than the programs we were using lol In it's current form it needs a difficulty curve that ramps up even if it's simply increasing the speed sooner...or you could expand and throw in more powerful weapons/ammo to pick up that require typing a full word, or maybe unlocking a treasure chest by typing a full phrase, using a tool in your inventory by typing it out etc. Good work!
Can't for the life of me figure out how to fix the hoverbike but holy crap did this world hook me. At first I was like "oh a jungle adventure game, cool" and thought I'd just click a couple things and move on but when I walked into the facility I was like "woah wait wtf??" lol You set a mysterious tone/atmosphere right off the bat and next thing I knew I kept clicking to see more about the world/mystery. Very cool work, esp in such a short time!
Thanks everyone! Glad you liked it :D
Awesome, thanks everyone! Psyched to see people liked it! :) I'm thinking about doing it up as a full game next!
Jelinib: Maybe that's all actually part of the game and it's SO META that YOU feel like the monster for breaking the game and that's actually the TRUE intention of the design!
...no I am just super amateur at coding lol glad you had fun before you BROKE ALL MY HARD WORK ;) lol
Thanks for the comments! :)
Wefiends: My biggest worry was that EVERYONE wants to play as the Mech over the Ship, we all wanna be a giant robot especially if it shoots faster. So I had to give it some drawbacks (bigger hitbox, slightly less friction so it's less precise to control, and significantly slower Distance coverage) to get the player to view the Ship as valuable too or no one would bother with it lol
That was my thinking at least, I'll let the comments here determine whether that was successful! ;)
Awesome, thanks for the feedback everyone, and thanks for playing! I figured a lot of people playing LD games would be pretty casual gamers so I didn't want to make it too hard for the majority, but I should have included an Easy/Hard toggle for the people who know how to shmup lol In a full game I would definitely have that option.
For anyone wondering the voices are all just free samples ( https://gamesounds.xyz/ ) thrown in at the last second because it felt like it needed some arcade style countdowns and catch-phrases lol I remember thinking as I was doing it "this is such a waste of time I should be adding more enemies or something" but now I'm glad I sidetracked to do some audio based on the good reception it's got. Sometimes the little things are worth it I guess! lol
