This is incredible. The best thing I have seen so far!
This game really shows how much people can create in 3 days, it's really incredible! It's an interesting concept which the art and ui reinforces very well. The mood is perfect. I would've liked some more feedback to show my programs at work i.e. a device lighting up whilst a program is processing
This game is incredible! Every aspect has been done so well. I love how you can see the red and blue lights of the police just behind you, such a nice touch.
I can't actually play it as I don't own a htc Vive BUT your game has provided me and my friends with a ton of enjoyment. We had great laughts watching the update gifs you posted on twitter and kept us going with our own development. Having opened up the game the alien sounds go above and beyond expectation! It's a pity I can't vote :(
Really love the overall aesthetic. The changing of the environment/ music is done really well.
I'm also getting the zlib.DLL error :(
I love the artstyle. Those low-poly trees were beautiful and all the details are a nice touch. Great thought-provoking concept, made me think.
A cool idea, but just not very fun right now as it's painfully difficult. I really like the use of the theme, but the gameplay just needs a tiny bit more balance.
Can't seem to run it. I get a java exception error on Windows 7.
A lot of fun. Really like the feel of the kickback when you fire the gun, feels great to play.
The art is beautiful but the audio really put me off.
Love the faces on the lift, they're adorable! The game-play is fun too, although would be nice if the level changes every time you reach the top or bottom floor .
Loved the soundtrack! Really cute aesthetic and clever use of two button control. Short and very sweet.
Nice looking endless runner with a lot of cool mechanics, recipe for success.
Love the animation and movement of the peons, adorable, like a flea xD
Really cool use of the 2-button theme, I thought the art style was great too. It's a pity the game got stuck when S<0 for the enemy as I would've loved to carry on.
The instructions weren't the best but overall it was good.
The graphics and animation is incredible for this game! The music is great too!
This game has a great feel. The ambient sound is great and the art is beautiful. Are the plants based off real plants? I really enjoyed playing the game.
Cool game, had a lot of fun playing it, the art and animation was good too. The music seems promising but currently a bit repetitive.
This is the best game I have played so far! Really like the artstyle and music is great. The game feels so finished too, there's a lot of polish which is crazy. It would be an awesome game to have multiplayer in :)
Really cool game, with a great sci-fi vibe. Love the art-style and the game is fun to play. The sound effects and music are really good but you haven't made it clear whether it was made for the jam so I don't feel as if it can be voted on.
Weirdly intuitive controls. Enjoyed playing it a lot, and it's really original.
Fun game with a nice difficulty curve. It crashed for me a few times, but other than that very fun to play.
Awesome game, had a lot of fun, the artstyle is amazing, and most of the mechanics are great, and there's a lot of polish :)
The idea is really cool. The instructions are great and I was floundering around for a bit trying to figure out what to do. The audio was good too :)
The aesthetic to the game is really nice, the art and animation is fantastic. There wasn't much consequence to the game-play but it was still interesting to play. Maybe the looping on the audio could've been a bit better.
The graphics are absolutely incredible for this, if I could give you 6 stars for it I would!
Nice game, like the music and overall upbeat mood. Couldn't quite hit the 950+ mark...
Game seems to crash for me when I run the .exe running on Windows 7. Not sure why.
Addictive game! I ended up falling on one of the levels with bouncy platforms and never re-spawning though...
Fun little game. Really liked the ui and music. The balance of the different modules was good and allowed for some interesting tactical play. Would loved to have seen some modules tied to positioning i.e. a lab needing to be next to a station, so deciding whether to spend money had more impact.
I really like the art, especially the lighting on the fireballs. I feel like it would be nice if there was some penalty for missing as right now you can just spam fireballs (maybe he's just a very powerful warlock :p )
A very fun little game :) Took me a few minutes to figure out I could jump across the edge the screen and then it became a lot more fun. I ended up with a highscore of 43 :D I loved the art style and the sound effect for the potato was great. There we're a lot of small bugs that reduced the fun though, like the fact the score went down when you dropped so you could lose your high score, or the fact there's no quit button :p
Difficult controls but a fun game! It definitely fits the theme.
Really cool game, such a great concept for the two button controls! Personally I found the music a bit distracting... but a fun game.
This is a really fun puzzle game, the level design is really good and the mechanics show a lot of promise for more levels. I liked the theme but it felt like some ambient audio was missing (the ball is glowing, would it be making a humming noise?) and for the movement of the map/balls as they roll around it felt a bit silent.
The levels were awesome that you made. It's incredible how with only two controls the puzzles can be so complicated! ( I actually ended up playing it more than once!) Prioritising game play definitely makes sense :)
This game is incredible! Easily one of the best games I've played so far.
A fun little game, the sound effects were fitting and I really liked how well both themes were used. Maybe it was just for me, but the flower images were really low quality and quite blurry, I'm not really sure why.
Cool idea, I really liked the design of the different obstacles, nice variety.
Really liked the level design and atmosphere. Felt Christmassy and creepy, good job.
Cool base of a game. Hope you try and build up on it as it seems promising.
The game is really intriguing. You've created a good atmosphere, I liked the very abstract feel. The gameplay didn't seem to work for me though, I think it was bugged because I restarted the game and the events didn't trigger when I spoke to the same people.
The idea of using 2 buttons for many controls is really cool and fits the theme well.I like the simple artstyle for the game too.
When I play I have a bug where the image in the top right hand of the screen keeps expanding obscuring the right hand side of the game.
Fun game, really like the 'simple' art style a lot!
Although, cacti contain water, so does this mean the cactus hates itself?
This is a really well made game. There's a lot of stuff for only 48 hours, lots of different enemy types and I loved the death animation for the enemy ships. Small things but the music didn't seem to loop and the back of the player ship had no collision which may have been on purpose but kinda confusing. Overall a really impressive game.
Wow this game is actually really awesome! It was quite ambiguous at first what you had to do though. Once I figured it out I had a lot of fun.
Really nice game! I really enjoyed the control and design of the levels. Felt easy to learn but hard to master, would love to play more levels. The music was great too.
Maybe the lives should be seeds rather than hearts if we're getting technical with anatomy :p
Cool idea! Love rhythm games! The music is and art is not to my taste but there's a lot of potential for a great game, I enjoyed the mechanics a lot.
Fun game, really cool concept too! Would love to see it expanded mechanically.
Revenge is always the answer. Always.
So many cool features in this game, I love how the enemies from the previous round are still lying on the floor next time you dish out some revenge.
Really liked the feel of the game, the sound design works really well. Would definitely play more levels :)
The character writing for this game is amazing, they all had a lot of personality. I like overall aesthetic too, the music is very calming:) I feel like it could do with a bit more instruction at the beginning, and maybe some more feedback to show if you've completed an action like trample a plant or complete a quest.
The water looks amazing! The game is fun to play and different. Update and allow us to unlock gloves for Carl, this is a game breaking bug!
Other people have picked up on the major problems so I won't repeat. Overall really good, the art is great, would definitely play a post LD version.
@commodoreKid That's no problem, I was just a bit confused, thanks for explaining :)
@SirJavaGaming It's part of the gameplay (it's a bit ambiguous but you need to press multiple times). - I'll take a look thanks for mentioning it.
Wow this game is incredible. It feels so polished too! I had a lot of fun playing it. The only thing is that the music loop is maybe a bit too short and becomes annoying quickly but it's not a bad sound, just not enough of it!
Impressive considering it was only made in 8 hours and not 48 :) Some of the sound effects are annoying though.
Really love the isometric art style and character design!
The game starts off a bit slow but after a while it feels really good to play. Would be nice if you also controlled the menus using on z and x as well :P
Really fun game. I think the animation and character design is superb. Impressive that so much was done so quickly, the text on the lose screen was a nice touch :) I feel like some of the mechanics are a bit off, such as no double jump after dash and also instantaneous jump and dash which is fair enough when it was only made in a weekend.
The beard on my foreheard is always the hardest to shave off. This is a very accurate game.
I love boss battles, this was great. All the bosses are so different and they all has such distinctive art. The game is not easy too which is great, although it would be nice maybe to have a boss health bar somewhere/ more feedback through audio?
This was amazing! The mechanics were a real joy to play with, and the graphics and audio were superb. The variety of things to do with your forms and their different play styles (especially the fast square and the circle's wall climb and shrinking) was ingenious. Great job overall!
I enjoyed the setting, definitely fits the mechanics of the gameplay.
The art is fantastic! Liked the use of 2d sprites in a 3d world.
Good puzzle game, enjoyed the music but I am not smart enough to play well but I can still admire the work xD
Great stuff! I liked the minimalist graphics style you chose and the use of the angled camera made it feel very different from a typical 'hole in the wall obstacle course' type of game.
This game is a boat load of fun! ( probably more like a car and an airplane full??) The game is really quite polished, my only (tiny) gripe is that you often can't see the obstacles ahead in the level as the camera is small so you are required to fail a few times to learn the level.
This is really fun and only made in under 12 hours, good job! I want to know why the bad sheep are bad, what did they do wrong other than having worse haircuts?!
This is a lot of fun and really addictive! I really liked the sound effects and the use of striped lazers is ingenious, good job!
Tried to play the game on a mac and it didn't work. Switched PC, and it was simple but fun :)
An interesting management game, really like the aesthetic and ui/artstyle. Some music would've been nice too :)
A really fun and very good looking game! The enemy AI was absolutely merciless but it just meant I kept coming back for more :D The graphics and effects were definitely one of the best things about it next to the audio and the gameplay. Excellent work!
Very tricky but incredibly fun once I got the idea. I loved the music and pulsing HUD the most. Great work :D
Cool twist to the genre, addictive as always!
Tried to play it with a friend but it doesn't seem to work on mac. I played it solo, it's impressive and ambitious to make a moba for a jam!
This was way too much fun! For such a simple concept it's great, and the graphics and music are quite good. Excellent work!
Played with a friend and it is awesome! They won so the game is balanced obviously ( I kid!) Top scores from us!
Neat puzzle game! I really like the simplicity, yet still has depth. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish it but still enjoyed it :)
The graphics are absolutely amazing for this game, I couldn't really figure out what all the different potions did though...
The music was good, but unsure what I had to do :)
Played it with a friend we had a lot of fun and funny too! We found that the movement was a bit clunky at times, especially when you didn't want to fly into the crabs!
Hi! Just played it with a friend (in the same room on different computers) and had a lot of fun. At first it was a bit confusing as we thought the walls were the maze, but once we got the hang it was a blast. I think it's a bit easier to play as the hunter than the prey but other than that a sweet multiplayer game
Great job on this! It plays really nicely, the graphics and woodland sound are beautiful and that whistling mechanic is incredibly cool!
Had a lot of fun, really enjoyed the whistling mechanic, it was also executed well (had a lot of fun just playing tunes with the whisteling xD) It was a bit annoying getting sent back to the start of the level every time I was killed.
Thanks everyone for the comments!
@DSSiege11, yeah.. sadly there are a few known bugs with collision with pointy objects that causes the game to get stuck in a while loop. It requires a rework of the art but we are fixing it as I type! Thanks for letting us know and thanks for playing!
This was really fun as well as funny, and had just the right amount of challenge despite the simple concept. Great work!
Gah! This is fantastic, I love pretty much everything about it. My only problem is that I want to play more!
Neat game. Feels very polished.
This was a really nice game, the graphics and audio were great and it was a joy to play. Great work!
This has been executed really well, it feels really polished, well done.
A really fun and cute little game. The animations for the player blob were great and it was a real joy and pretty addictive to play. Nice work!
Really beautiful, but also I feel like there is a lot that could've been expanded on. I would love to see some sort of story to go with the mechanic (maybe even a bit Pixar shorts stylee).
Cool idea, played it with a friend but it seemed a few of the moves were broken (Delayed attack did nothing and A+ only hit for 1 damage when the help said it would hit for 2) Also the music didn't loop. Overall though a fun multiplayer game!
Groovy! I loved the level designs and the gameplay, plus the mechanic of dealing with a whole room of enemies without getting too much damage by strategically converting and then mobbing was hilariously fun. Excellent job!
This was a lot of fun and it looked very good. The twitchy controlling actually gave it an extra level of unusual challenge. Great work for your first compo!
The GB style graphics are very cute and it moves around very nicely! Good job!
Absolutely disgusting, but in a good way? I enjoyed it and it definitely has a strong aesthetic!
Fun platformer but a bit too difficult for me.
Was fun, but needed more instruction as at first I was unsure what I needed to do, especially as the level can play itself.
Impressive for the amount of time you had to make it! Personally, I got stuck after I reached 11 as I couldn't figure out how to change in to the elephant and all paths were blocked by trees, unsure if it was a bug or not. Other than that it was good, liked the origami animals :)
Really quite addictive, really quite impressive what you were able to pull of in such a short time (and in game maker!). Would like to see even more shapes to increase the replay-ability.
Hilarious fun man, the idea was pretty good and you did it well. The enemy AI is just the right level of evil to make a zerg rush inevitable and keep the game's pace up. I might have found a little bug where if an enemy is plowing straight into you they seem to be immune to bullets no matter where fired. Otherwise great work!
This was really well put together and definitely made me think. Personally though I quite enjoyed working, even up 'til the end, there wasn't really a punishment when I failed, I felt no crunch, I was only ever rewarded for going faster (and that's the kinda job I can get behind!) So I guess what I'm really saying is you made your game too fun :p Honestly was really great.
Interesting, played it with a friend he says to nerf triangle. Overall, it would've been nice to have a you win screen/lose screen to really rub in the victory (or loss!) Had fun!
Absolutely loved the game! Great concept, really nicely executed!
Really cool idea , agree with DespiteSoft that the movement was a bit buggy but there was some good puzzles!
This is beautiful, the ambient sound is great too! Even with the instructions I struggled to figure out what to do
Certainly different. I wouldn't class it as a game myself but it well worth experiencing. I can imagine it would be even more immersive with VR.
I got just past the one with only one green and one blue rope, and I gotta say this makes zero sense to me. I get some of the mechanics, but most of it is going over my head as to why ropes interact with each other the way they do...
I'm a sucker for these kinds of games, it was a lot of fun! You definitely nailed the movement.
A nice puzzle game which was well thought through and brought back some memories. Good use of the theme!
Amazing what you did in such a short space of time. The animations on the enemies are superb. The music is great too. The collision with the player was a bit frustrating though, falling through pits when the centre of the player touched it not the feet. Great game overall.
Reminds me a lot of old school adventure games so good job!
Awesome idea for a game, well implemented. The art was fantastic, loved the movement of the ship and the sound was fitting too. The second level was reallly hard though, and I didn't figure out a good way of killing enemies near the tower as the tower ate the materials! Good game!
Good start of a game, the ui for the wand was a bit large at the bottom of the screen, the wand mechanic was a great idea.
Really impressed, this feels really polished! Really cool concept, great music, sound and art to back it up too!
Didn't really understand what to do at first but once I figured it out it was good fun. Stressful but good. The pixel art was fantastic and sound was nice, but it could've been nice if there was more feedback for actions, such as the object glowing on mouseover as sometimes it was hard to tell if I clicked on the object correctly.
The web version also ran of of memory for me. Played it on windows, really liked the character design, the art was great, lots of cool mechanics such as switching character but it seemed like a lot of small things weren't working such as the walk animation stopping.
This game is definitely one of a kind... I only got to round IV before being swamped by Romans (a nightmare inducing experience)
Fun puzzle game, I found it a bit difficult moving stuff around after having placed it. Absolutley loved the animation on the jump pads!
I'm so glad you made this. Really well executed as well, the effects on the screen done nicely and I'm impressed you sourced a phone for the photo!
Simple to pick up yet I could see this being expanded into a great turn based strategy game with a few more mechanics.
Haha a really clever idea for the theme, I like it. I'm a sucker for these kinds of games but it was very satisfying to play. Nicely done.
None of the three links seem to be working for me. Will come back later and try again.
The art is absolutely beautiful and the sound effects really add to the experience. As others have said the game is a bit confusing but still a really lovely art style and feel.
Haha this is great. As others have said the camera could be a bit jarring at times.
Hey! The movement feels great, and I love the way the compass spins in the direction of shooting - great job!
I completed the game but there was zero way I was going to crack "that kind of cipher" by hand, that takes a lot of time! The player character could only seem to move one direction at a time which felt a bit odd... fun little puzzle overall.
Wow wow. This has been the best puzzle game I've played so far. Lovely art, perfect sound to match the gameplay and really good puzzles that were hard enough to take time but not so hard that I felt clueless. That was a really great experience.
The art and ui is fantastic for this game! It felt a bit cheaty to use the constant attack "hack" but it was also kinda necessary. Maybe it would make more sense to design the game around some ai that does attack constantly but you still need to switch around to perform skillful shots/attacks.
Hey! Love the art style and the end squish (it's hilarious and unexpected) - we played it two player, and found it a bit difficult to work out what we had to do at first.
Great job!
An interesting game. The writing is excellent, great humor. Fun to play but it was a bit slow having to wait for everyone to walk around before the dialogue started.
This is super cool! I really love it. Only fun for a brief amount of time but there was something very cathartic about wondering around categorising things. The ui, and graphics in general were superb and added to the feeling of being distant from what I was observing. You definitely nailed the feeling.
A fun little game. The shoot sound was a bit repetitive and it would've been nice to just hold down the shoot button rather than mashing it but still some arcade-y fun.
This is incredible! Great idea, brilliantly realised
This was quite fun. The haggle button seemed to be broken after the first time I used it, but beyond that it was really satisfying travelling around and making some dough.
Pretty funny, and you definitely captured the feeling of a blunderbuss but I couldnt reach the end as my hand was hurting to much.
Absolutely love the fact you did stop motion animation, wow! It looks great! Had no idea how to progress though.
Hey thanks everyone for the great comments! I have fixed a few of the smaller bugs and attempted to fix the crash bug, but sadly I can't replicate it in any way but I tried a possible fix. If you get the crash, please post the error message as part of your comment, thanks again!
Hey, nice game! Really liked the concept, and thought the colour scheme was great.
Love the low poly art and the mechanic feels good to use.
This is a great concept! I love the the feeling of helplessness of not knowing whether a scout might make it back in time. Even more content e.g more goals, more variation etc would be nice but being a jam there's only so much you can do. I would definitely play it if it was improved on!
This was really great, a really sweet point and click adventure!
This game is fantastic for a jam. Well written + well explained mechanics, very easy to pick up the game. Too difficult for me to beat, but a good source of escapism.
A nice aesthetic with a lot of interesting mechanics. Fun to play!
I love the animation and vibe!
@motley
Yeah I definitely should've sped up the typing, seems to be a common complaint
We added an I feel lucky button before figuring out what it was going to do, so unfortunately it only dispenses confetti for now :P
I enjoyed this racer. The hitbox maybe felt a little too big for going over bumps, but fun overall :)
I really enjoy this, great use of the theme. This game is all about real-time planning, which is fun and frenetic. I would've liked some UI, like arrows, to show where enemies were approaching from off-screen. Would be cool to see it level based adding different challenges/mechanics :)
It's super addictive but really difficult! It was a lot of fun experimenting. Would have loved a fast-forward button, or something to speed up time once the puzzle was solved :)
Cool little game. I wasn't too sure what I was meant to do once I had ran out of bullets
Simple concept but good fun, nice take on the theme!
Thanks everyone for playing! It's a short, weird game - but I am a short weird man - so it's only logical the games are the same ;)
Apologies for the bugginess I have uploaded a new build that fixes issues!
@iluvatar @mathemagician @cottontshirtz
Getting a lot more attention than we expected! I'll give the quiz a boost in bandwidth for the hosting tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who has played so far 😊
