Bonus points for being about cherry blossoms!
Seriously though great game, great puzzles, great graphics, great everything ^_^ I really enjoyed this. And I've added it to my play later folder so I can try to beat all the levels.
I... Can't stop playing this!! Every time it goes to a new level I feel like I have to beat it! I Incredible job! I have no idea how you made this much in the time frame. Best game I've played so far.
Quite a fun entry! ^_^
Good little game! In case you weren't aware though on full screen 1280x720 the menu isn't completely visible :D
I really liked this entry, I wasn't able to complete it though. And There might be a bug, if you go south then west, nothing happens, also going back north afterwards leads to a few audio clips playing at once ^_^
I had a lot of fun with this game! Cute simple graphics, and solid gameplay. Job well done.
Very challenging on a PC, but you did say it was meant for mobile, so well done ^_^
Art is amazing! :D
I really like this!
This is incredibly cute! And really hard to score well, Great job!
Very cool game, I really enjoyed this. It takes a bit to figure out the controls though.
This was really cool, great atmosphere!
I'm terrible at this! Lol but it was quite fun!
32 bit version for windows doesn't launch, the 64 bit version took some fiddling to get working. If it doesn't work try redownloading and running as admin, that made it work for me ^_^ Using Windows 10 in case that's relevent.
Once I got it working, it was a good game! Nice puzzles and interesting concept. Well done!
Hmm it doesn't seem to work for me. "MSVCP120D.dll is missing from your computer. "
Great entry, I made it through a few levels, but I fell on one and pressed r hoping to restart the level rather than having to hop all the way back to the start. But pressing R reset me at the first level... So I stopped playing for now ^_^
Not to challenging, not too easy. The restart thing frustrated me though. Overall a great entry, so Job well done!
Great game you've got here! I played a few levels and put it in my save for later folder ^_^ Very well done.
Interesting concept, and I get that you use the bugs to bring food and water to the plant, but I'm not sure how to win :D I failed the game lol.
Great entry! Very fast, but very strong feeling of "I can do better than that." when you die. ^_^
This was really cool! I hope you continue this afterwards. The puzzles were challenging enough to be interesting without being too hard. Job well done!
I really wanted to play this one, I added the .exe to the end of the "SPAM Simulator 2015" file but when run, it brings up only a still image and I can't interact with it in any way :(
Nicely done, and super challenging!
Oh I like this! Very clever, and addicting too. Great entry!
This seems interesting, but I can't play since my x key only works about 20% of the time! lol. Nice concept though ^_^
Thank you to everyone who has played and commented so far! Your feedback will help me to make a better game next go round! The game was meant to be really challenging, akin to geometry dash or the impossible game.
Thanks so much for everyone's feedback! Every comment will help me make the next one better!
@Warboys Actually the initial plan was to have a number of levels that got progressively harder, then to also have an endless mode. I ran out of time to do both though, and the endless mode was actually easier to implement. ^_^
Okay so works great for me on Windows 10, but ironically the debugging tower seems to be bugged! :D You can't place it, even after having the prerequisite. And you can't destroy it if the enemy builds it.
Very fun game though, regardless, so great job!
Love this! I had a good time with this game, Great job!
Great idea, but I don't have anyone to play co-op with! ^_^ Much too hard solo.
Great game! Very challenging to go where you want to go.
Great little game. There wasn't any audio for me though. I played the web version on Opera.
The game was great :D Really fun to play. Music is catchy too, so great job!
Very nice game, and I love the music. Well done!
Great little game, solid gameplay, especially for only 5 hours! I only managed to get to 41.
I love city builders and while this would definitely need a lot more features to be a full game, it is absolutely amazing given the time frame. Job well done! And I hope you continue to work on this.
Interesting, nice concept but much too challenging for me :D
Great game as expected :D
Woo 3836! Man that's a challenge! Nice game, I enjoyed it.
Great game! Very addicting, level 3 is very frustrating without a checkpoint though. :D Would benefit greatly from sound, but overall an amazing entry. Well done!
This page doesn't exist ^_^
Great little game! Took a few tries to complete! Job well done! :)
The exe wont run for me >.< http://imgur.com/a/OF5JF This is what it gives me, whether I try in Admin mode or not
I came back to play and rate. The problem I had initially turned out to be caused by my antivirus, so nothing on the game's end at all. Overall this is a solid game, I enjoyed playing. I was actually able to complete this, which is surprising since i'm usually lousy at similar games. Job well done!
Fantastically done. Beautiful, and challenging without being frustrating!
Brutally hard, but beautiful execution. Amazing job as always! :D
I actually thoroughly enjoyed this! It was quite entertaining trying to match the patterns. Job well done!
I did a tower defense game myself for this Ludum Dare, however I definitely enjoyed yours more. I like the concept, it was very well done, though a little bit un-documented. I had a bit of a challenge at first figuring out how best to position the towers. But I had great fun once I figured it out.
@RoarOfTheEarth Oh thank you so much! That means a lot ^_^
@whatfruit @n8m8 thank you both for playing!! ^_^ I'm glad you enjoyed!
Thank you again to everyone who has played so far! Yeah I know it could definitely use more balancing, that was one of the hardest parts for me, but sadly I ran out of time towards the end for any further balancing.
I honestly quite like this! I could see this being a lot of fun with some more time put into it. Overall a great entry here!
Wow >.< Well it's incredibly addicting! Very challenging, I love it!
Well Done!! ^_^ I like it a lot, completed the levels! I'd vote for more :P
Hey! Just tried to download, all it comes with is the Exe though, wont run without the Data folder with it :D
Came back to check on this and I'm glad you uploaded the rest. This is a cute little game. Simple, but well done. Great job. I noticed that you can spam the attack button, even though the animation is still playing, So it is relatively easy to kill them when they are in reach.
Nicely Done! Quite a challenging little game ^_^
You said this is your first ludum dare, how'd you like it?
Hmm, It may have just been an issue with the WebGL version, but I can't see the game portion, I can read the text, and get into the game. And I can hear the tiles dropping, but the middle bit is solid black. I'll try again on my home computer when I can download the windows version!
Wow! Absolutely Amazing game. Honestly I love the concept, and it's much more challenging than I thought at first, but in the best way possible! :D
This is adorable! Really well done entry!
My hand is killing me now, but that was quite fun! Great entry.
@nachtwitch @sam-awk @lyghtningwither Thank you for playing! I updated the description to have some starter tips, in case anyone moving forwards needs the advice.
@bjeaurn thanks so much for the kind words! I made the decision/mistake to make all the models for the town at the start, and I love the town models, but I think they sunk too much of my time, since I didn't even start CODING the game features until about noon on Saturday! I'm glad you enjoyed, thanks for playing!
Thanks so much for playing everyone!
@kanonix Initially I was going to re-do the layout of the town, that was just the way it was set up for testing when I first imported the assets, but alas I ran out of time, and the map stayed the same! Haha oh the joys of a time limit! Oh and Not sure if you noticed, but there was a sprint option to move faster.
@darylsteak I really wanted to add an in game hint/tip section but I never got around to it. Putting it in the description was the next best thing! Hopefully I'll be around for the next LD also, now that my job schedule permits it, I don't plan on missing them if I can help it.
@hcursino Oh no! It should close the menu if you press shift while it's open. Strange that it wouldn't close.
@thiago-nascimento thank you for playing!
@blint6 HAHA yeah the character was.... not meant to be in the final game!! Oh wow, shift was wasting your energy too much? It was meant to be a slow depletion, not rapid. I might have to take a look at that to find the cause.
Really awesome entry! It's definitely challenging though.
10/10 would play again. I would love to see this expanded into a post compo version! Truly a well done game!
I was very interested in this, but your itch page isn't found, did you maybe forget to set it to public?
This looks really interesting! However, the itch page doesn't exist, did you maybe forget to set it public?
Gentle Brain Teaser, I love when I can complete the entire game rather quickly. And the art was perfect for this, Job really well done!
I love this concept, however I'm unable to play it, It freezes and crashes when I click on the email box. I'll definitely try this again later on my home PC and hopefully I'll have more luck getting it to work.
It was a library windows desktop with google chrome but with it being a library computer it was probably just old or out of date on something. But I'm glad I came back to play it at home, this was super awesome! Job really well done, and I'd love a post LD version of this for sure.
Great job! This was a lot of fun, I couldn't figure out the last two though. Overall really impressive!
Super entry, I rarely sit an play through games to the end. The last level was too challenging for me, but seriously enjoyable.
Great little game!
Very cute take on the theme. Nice job!
Simple and cute! This is a really solid entry, well done!
Great entry, and I especially love the screen wobble! It's such a nice polishing touch.
Hmm interested, but unfortunately all I had was a blank black screen. I couldn't see anything at all, not sure if that's the idea or if there was an issue on my part. I'll try it again later on my home computer.
I'll make sure I let you know if it works when I get home. As for what I tried on just now, it's a Windows desktop using google chrome.
This could use a little bit more in game explanation, but otherwise it's a great entry. I couldn't figure out how to get it to accept the password once entered, so I wasn't able to complete the game. Definitely would play an expanded version of this game if you work on it post LD.
I enjoy minimalistic games like this. Polished and simple, it's exactly what it needs to be! :D Great job!
Stunning visuals, and a great game to go along with it. This is one of my favorite entries so far!
Woah this was so much fun! I did have a little trouble knowing which direction I was going to head in with the mouse controls, I think that was just me not being too familiar with hex controls on mouse. Fantastic entry that was VERY fun to play!
@mololo thank you so much for playing! I realized a little late about the spawn circles! I forgot to make them invisible when I uploaded/exported LOL. Sorry about that!
This was super fun! sometimes It wasn't clear if I could eat something, but all in all awesome!
Such a jolly take on the theme! Really well done!!
OMG this is such an experience! So spooky! Ending is great, and the credits were also a treat!
This is VERY challenging but amazingly done! I always love games with time loops and this is no exception! I'd love to see a post jam version!
Fantastic job on this one! It's a blast to play, makes you feel like you're in full control!
Super tough game, but incredibly well done!
This was super fun! Level 2 was SUPER tough comparative to the first, but WOW great entry!
This looks super cute, music works well. A bit too hard, it's pretty much impossible to get to the witch, highest score 0... LOL. Solid entry, would be perfect with a little balancing on the bullet frequency
This was super cool! Love the concept, just the right amount of chaos from the controls! It works perfectly as a short little game, much more and my fingers may have fallen off! <3 Loved this!
This truly was VERY fun to play! Seriously great job!
A bit too challenging for me in some places, but a very good entry! Nothing vs the game mind you, just not good at platformers personally, and I think the vertical nature made it more tough! Fantastic music and art, great concept! <3
Oh woah! This is really awesome!! SO awesome that it's still up getting stronger! ^_^
It's not a typical "game" in the sense of replay-ability, however I think for what it is, and for the time frame you did very well! Great job! I enjoyed the experience!
Fantastic Job! But WOW this is challenging! 0.o I managed to make 2 matches I think on my best game lol
This is an absolutely beautiful game. I love the simple design, it really adds to the mood as a whole. This is a great entry. I feel like it fell a little short on the theme, I've played quite a few survival idle games, so I didn't really feel like the genres were incompatible. However the game as a whole was very well done! Great job!
This is a very solid game here! I love this take on the theme, and I love cooking games so you got extra points from me there! :D Only issue I had was occasionally I would lose the ability to click on things, I had to click out of the game and back in it to fix the issue, which by that time I usually ran out of time. I'm not sure if that's a bug with the game, or just my computer being stupid. But perhaps locking the cursor to the screen would avoid that even being possible. Either way, very nice entry!
This is a very nice game! A little tough to pick stuff up from time to time, I had to position myself very carefully to get the "Take" words to appear. Other than that I really enjoyed this. It's well balanced as well, challenging but not impossible! Great entry!
@Scott-Steffes 0.o oh no! thank you for telling me! I have fixed the zip file to have all of the required parts lol!
@drprettypatty Thank you so much for the detailed feedback! I had so much more I wanted to do for this game, but I lost about 20 hours from various computer problems and unity problems, and eventually I scrapped the entire folder and started from scratch yesterday afternoon. Initially there was multiplayer (until I broke it somehow) and it was much more challenging and entertaining because everyone's bullets stayed in the scene making everything more chaotic. I noticed that the Rhythm aspect of the game was a little weak a little too late into the development, so sadly I wasn't able to add anything else to it. Anyways, I appreciate the feedback! And I'll stop by to play yours as soon as this posts!
@drprettypatty I honestly wouldn't mind to keep working on this, and if there are a few people genuinely interested in seeing the multiplayer working, I would happily continue working on it. This is the first time I wasn't sick of working on my game at the end of LD, I guess that means I'm making progress! Usually I get so annoyed with nothing working out properly, that by the end I just don't want to look at it anymore! haha
@BenPeterson Thank you for playing! The multiplayer was working fine until I implemented the main menu that let you choose 1/2/4 player modes so I don't think it would be that difficult to fix it, I just didn't have time in the compo and I have a new job starting tomorrow morning so I wanted to make sure I was ready and rested for it!
@Dakota Jones Thank you so much! The main reason the art is even halfway decent is because of my computer problems actually! So at least something good came out of it haha. While i was waiting on unity to reinstall, I was working on graphics! Yeah I noticed that about the shields too, unfortunately that was something that required MANY tiny changes to the threshold which is time consuming, so I ended up calling it good enough and moving on lol!
@Apple Dash Thank you for rating and playing! The problem with the final score is strange! I specifically fixed that about 2 hours before submission hour, so I'm not sure how it managed to creep it's way back into the final build! At least you can still see your actual score through the game over screen! lol. I thought it was a good fit to the theme, The two genre's being Rhythm, and Shooter, which don't normally go together. But If you've seen games where this combo was used, and it worked I'd love links/names, I'd quite like to play them! lol
Thank you so much to those who have played so far! It is greatly appreciated! If I've replied to you, that means I have also played and rated your games!
@Petro-Shoferystov Yeah with as many problems that arose during the jam, the final game had more bugs than I would normally have been okay with, but I had to fix the game-breaking ones first, and sadly there was too much still needing to be done when sumbission hour hit. But at least it works! (sorta) haha
@SelfTitled I initially had it shoot as you held down, but it was too fast, so I just ended up limiting it, I could have chose a better way to limit it but once I had it working, it was not a feature I revisited. Perhaps I was overly ambitious, but it was a valuable learning experience.
@achebit Initially I didn't have the zoom out, but it was extremely simple to do, and it seemed really cool when I tried it out. So it made it in to the final cut! :D The shield gets off sync from time to time, but it would have taken me too long to get the frequency range just right, so I got it "good-enough" and moved on.
@notb Thank you so much! I tried to do a bit more with the graphics this LD, I'm not sure the graphics and the theme really mesh well, but I definitely think it's better than my previous entries.
@Efmi_ Thanks for playing!!
I absolutely LOVE city building games, and it's amazing what you managed to put together in just a weekend. I applaud all of the effort you put into this game, it was very entertaining to play. I would love to see what you could do with this game with more time. Either way I say fantastic job!
Great Job @Efmi_ ! It was awesome to watch this game come together on the stream! And it's really cool to be able to play it now, There was one issue where I lose health when nothing was touching me, but other than that bug, I really enjoyed it! PS: it's just as terrifying when I play it too, so now I understand why the super's kept scaring you! haha
Great little game here! I had some difficulty with aiming my attacks but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this! Job well done!! :D
I despise spiders with a passion, but this game was very neat! I love the web idea to make platforming easier! It took a little bit to get used to the controls, but I actually spent quite a bit of time playing this! Great job!
A really solid entry that could benefit from some fine tweaks to the controls and movement of the guard cars. Otherwise, a really nice entry. With some more work and polish, it would be a pretty awesome game!
Great take on a classic! I absolutely love this! It's very difficult to hit what you're aiming for (perhaps because I'm bad at pong) but it makes for a good challenge. Really nice that you can play with two people, overall a great entry! Job very well done!
Nicely done of course! Thoroughly enjoyed the stream, and it's nice to see & play the finished result! It's mildly challenging to control the character movement, but otherwise a very nice entry! Job well done!
This seems like a really neat little game, but it ran VERY slowly on my computer for some reason, so I wasn't able to complete it. But from a first impressions standpoint, very well done!
This game is phenomenal. As someone who struggles with depression myself, this really hits home. You managed to sum up the feeling very well, and I applaud you for that. The challenge initially is a bit steep, but I feel that it fits well here. Great entry and Great job!
WOAH this was surprisingly fun and challenge! Incredibly well done, the hand drawn graphics style works perfectly here, and the controls are very intuitive. Honestly a great entry! The enemies are terrifying by the way, the way they lunge at you with that sound is creepy! But again, it all works so well together, so I'll accept the nightmares haha!
@BenPeterson LOL Yeah I bet they were! oh that's great!
I agree with @BitJester Media the itch.io link doesn't work for me either
Very nice take on the theme! I love text adventures, and this was no exception!
