LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Surf Camp: The Legend of the Surf Ace by GertJohnny 2014-04-30T05:45:00

This is amazing. Had so much fun with the surfing. I have no idea what the Rock Paper Scissors part is supposed to be about but whatever! A gamejam entry with progression? I'm impressed

Delve by conormn 2014-04-30T03:06:00

Gorgeous game. Super beautiful to gaze and listen to :)

Beneath the surface with Sir Walter Wuffington by Larzan 2014-05-17T07:01:00

Love the concept of flipping from overhead to side view, integrating this more with the collectable mechanic and removing some of the controlling frustrations (slow clunky movements rather than the feeling of being in a boat) could lead to some great explorative gameplay. Nice aesthetics, although I'm going out on a limb here and expressing a dislike for the duck sound!

DownDown by mrexcessive 2014-05-17T06:57:00

Nice concept, I like the way the puzzle element of the game slowly reveals itself through the first few levels. Lower penalty on failure (in terms and audio and restarting) would make the experience far more streamlined. Also developing a theme more linked to the idea of numbers (just using numbers themselves perhaps) would help communicate the mechanics to the player without the need for that side widget.

Worm Simulator 2014: Ultimate Home Wrecker Edition by MarsBar 2014-04-30T05:45:00

Great sense of speed, I felt like the smoke monster form lost. Movement of the worm was a bit floaty though, might be more interesting if it felt it had more weight.

Darkness Shines Through by Empyrealhell 2014-04-30T03:34:00

That whispering sound effect freaked me out! Which is a good thing. Was fun to explore the area and the cult theme is great.

I kind of got stuck, couldn't figure out where to go after getting the first clue (with the running shoes). Was jumping around and died/reset a few times but still couldn't figure out where to go.

The Enemy Within by paps 2014-05-17T07:05:00

First ailen made me half jump out my skin. Great use of music, modelling (the eyes!) and lighting to set a tone. Frustrated at how lost I got tho.

Sky Shepherd by kumoi 2014-04-30T07:15:00

Great realization of the concept; the visuals, sound and controls all feel so fun. I wish it were possible to juggle the sheep so I could avoid things!

Pearl Dive by ethankennerly 2014-05-17T06:36:00

Nice simple control mechanism that leaves a lot of potential movement for the avatar. Not a big fan of the waiting necessary around the sharks, doing nothing in a game is a personal gripe of mine tho :P

Splash Europa by pkenney 2014-04-30T03:45:00

Really freakin fun! Took a while to get the hang of the physics but it feels real good when you get the flow right. Love the 2 surfaces changing how the physics work, really genius use of the theme.

Very impressive, although it's soooo hard. It's like Flappy Bird but failing means you can't get to a new level!

Splash Europa by pkenney 2014-04-30T03:46:00

Shanghai by Warboys 2014-04-29T03:50:00

Reduced file size from 53mb to 5.3mb! I (Sam) was silly enough to use WAV files.

Should load much quicker now!

Shanghai by Warboys 2014-05-03T10:19:00

Sorry Larzan, that's probably because of the city-not-loading bug. We're going to have an Android version up soon, hopefully with OSX and Windows too, so that might solve the problem.

Shanghai by Warboys 2014-05-04T09:15:00

Added an Android version! THE way to play (as you can tell from the resolution, the game was designed with mobile in mind). It should also fix that bloody city-not-loading bug!

Literary Diver by sugarbyte 2014-04-30T02:53:00

Simple and fun. The obstacle generation/level design was nice. I didn't quite understand what the literary stuff was about.. I was thinking maybe I'd get some more details about what I collected when the game ended, but that didn't happen

Tiny C by M4rw4 2014-04-30T10:22:00

Nice idea to use size as a measure of damage, would love to see this developed with more mechanics where size is important (e.g. narrow paths).

Necro by Kara Jayde 2014-04-30T02:43:00

Interesting game. Level 1 was a little easy but those white cells were totally cornering me by level 2.

Like others have said, maybe it's a little slow. Breaking the skin probably isn't necessary, as it takes a good 10+ seconds to get through with no risk. You could probably just go deeper into the same body.

Kill or Kill by GreatBigJerk 2014-05-17T07:37:00

Great art design and comical overloading of game mechanics.

Acid Adventure by Infinerd 2014-04-30T10:28:00

Beautiful art, I really wanted to get in an explore the world but was held back by some awkward platforming elements. The second door in particular reminded me of Alex Kidd in Miracle World and gave me hot flushes. Really like the main character design, I wonder if there are any other ways to engage the player?

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Oculus Souls by OrangeeZ 2014-08-28T04:38:00

Love the music and the art. The combat is a little clunky and it's really difficult. I kept dying before I could find out what donating the sweets could do ;(

(PS: My game; Outdoor, is fixed! It shouldn't bug out anymore, if you fancy seeing what can happen at the end)

World Lord by Luke Molnar 2014-08-28T05:04:00

Navigating the big map with the 4 separated collectibles was really fun. Would be great to have more of that maze-navigation gameplay. Great job on puzzle creation for such a short time, content is always a pain in the ass.

Steam by Pinktreeleaf 2014-09-13T06:57:00

Really nice art, super cute. I'm not too into the amount of dialogue I had to read though, I'm an uncivilized man :P

Anti Matter by Chris Maire 2014-09-13T06:51:00

Found it extremely hard, a bit stingy with the money :P

The idea is very interesting, it would be cool to see it developed further

Outdoor by Warboys 2014-08-28T03:08:00

Hey guys, I've fixed the bug so it should work if you feel like playing through again!

Thank you for the comments and ratings :)

Outdoor by Warboys 2014-09-03T02:41:00

Thanks Dave :) Yeah I didn't have much time to balance and half the stats technically have no effects (Parenting, for example). One piece of advice is to always train sufficiently in Combat, First Aid, and Speed. Hunting, Flora & Fauna are also pretty useful depending on the type of apocalypse that's generated (Insectoids, Apes or Robots).

Divided We Fail by ninjascript 2014-08-31T12:11:00

Super hard... my eyes were straining too (trying to see bees against a white background :P).

Fun stuff though, love the animation and art

Hello Operator by Chris M 2014-08-26T03:18:00

This turned out really well! Intentionally frustrating and I even exclaimed "Stop thinking, woman!!", so you really nailed what you were going for.

Great stuff :)

Parallel Rift by liquidminduk 2014-08-26T03:28:00

Love it! Looks and sounds beautiful and the gameplay is really cool. Pretty addictive!

Starpiercer by Schrodinger Games 2014-08-28T05:26:00

Really like the art and sound, the effects are beautiful (both the audio and visual ones).

The endless runner obstacle generation could do with some tweaking though... it felt way too easy for very long periods of time, so much so that I just stopped playing because my session was taking forever... rather than due to the challenge.

0730 by H03N 2014-09-13T06:26:00

I'm really not sure what's going on. I love the art, and Captain America does indeed suck, but I'm getting that teleport home 'bug'. Is it a bug? Or is it like Every Day The Same Dream and I'm missing something?

BingaR - Story driven platformer by DvanderAart 2014-08-28T04:48:00

Enjoyable game. I liked the sort of bullet hell + platformer mix. Challenging stuff.

The noise at the end made me crap my pants though... it was like a Screamer!!

(PS: My game; Outdoor, should work now. In case you want to see the end, there's a new dropbox link with a bug fix)

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Randomaze by Nikteddy92 2014-12-14T10:39:00

How do you skip the dialogue? I loaded the skippable dialogue version but can only see the 'mute music' button. I played once but I can't give it a fair review if I can't play some more :)

Randomaze by Nikteddy92 2014-12-14T11:05:00

Dialogue is super cute, nice touch! The maze gameplay is fun and the timer feels pretty balanced. I died a few times before figuring out I needed that rainbow card but after that I had a great time :)

Good job on the cube perspective btw, that was a fun touch!

Punch Squad by Sos 2014-12-15T01:50:00

I came last. Sadness.

Not quite sure how to really influence the outcome, but it looks, sounds and feels beautiful. And who doesn't want to kick grannies?!

Dads Gold by Crushenator 2014-12-13T10:56:00

Very creative and unique, nice job with the idea. Of course, I went left because you told me not to ;)

Visual Out by madameberry 2014-12-09T01:53:00

Really cool overall mood, I got stuck in the pit and couldn't figure out how to get out of that room (the teleporter didn't go both ways). Would love to know how to get past that bit to see the end :)

1 Screen Hero by zerocreativity1 2014-12-16T05:09:00

My god, the polish! This is an audio visual treat for sure. The level selection mechanic is really cool, although the difficulty curve is a little off. This is like release level quality though, nicely done

For the Homeland! by Verz 2014-12-11T10:42:00

The art is amazing; animations and sprites themselves. Really gorgeous.

I had no idea what the game was about though. There was some economic information but I don't know what effect it was having or if I was doing anything useful. No pushback at all so I stopped playing after a short while. If someone can explain what the complex strategies are, I'd be happy to play some more.

OMNI by Noah Ratcliff 2014-12-10T08:31:00

Very nifty concept, worked really well. I couldn't figure out jumping for ages (space to jump in the browser version would be helpful), but once I did it was great. I just wish there were checkpoints because I'm awful at platformers and it was too frustrating to start from the beginning every time I fucked up xD

BlockFlop by ParaPup 2014-12-09T01:27:00

Sorry, I'm gonna be the QA guy!
- When I touched the top of the screen I got stuck (probably the same for all sides)
- If I touched the green square without being on top of it, I still won.

Interesting concept, a bit like a speed Snake without the tail part. Would be cool if the difficulty ramped up quicker because honestly I got a little bored by the 8th level

Insecticide by Nate Kling 2014-12-09T01:19:00

The pixel art is gorgeous, great animations and unit design! Got to wait for when I get into the office to play multiplayer, playing against myself at the moment xD

Hyper Soccer by klianc09 2014-12-15T00:39:00

Nice idea, the AI is pretty good! My biggest issue is that the game is so fast paced that switching players seems risky (in case you get the wrong one) and too time consuming to be effective.

Love the powers on the dudes though, hopefully I can find someone to play multiplayer with me :)

Prison Riot by RetroEpic 2014-12-09T11:45:00

The idea is interesting, like a Tower Defense version of Five Nights at Freddies, but I found myself just sitting around watching due to a lack of things to interact with. You just shut the gate and turn on the guns, right?

Interesting concept and it would be great to see more done with it!

12 Hours by Wilson 2014-12-14T10:21:00

This is really cool! Love the mechanic and great use of daylight and the passage of time to work with the stealth mechanics. I just wish the guards were a little more predictable so you could choose a bush and not be suddenly surprised by the change of path xD

Great mood too, btw. Would love a full game version of this, it would work great on mobile as well.

Boss Rush by Nick Weihs 2014-12-16T05:26:00

I couldn't figure out how to kill the axe guy but I managed it eventually by just jumping into him and spamming, he was tough!

Really nice idea for a game though, would be sweet to see a full version with like 20 bosses and all kinds of unlocks and different weapons. Animations on the main character were great and it was pretty challenging (the archer was easy but the 1st and 3rd dudes kicked my ass).

Rubble by Aevek 2014-12-15T00:51:00

Really nice mood, I love the rubble movement between levels and the smaller arena with every level. Had some big collision issues when trying to avoid the spinning blades though, which killed me enough times for me to get angry and quit

Ironically, my entry also has a few collision issues ;) Damn collision!

One Scene Prison by nbilyk 2014-12-09T02:04:00

Had absolutely no idea what was going on half the time but I did make it to the end! Pretty funny overall, prison security is so lax xD

One Screen Game by swipefaststudios 2014-12-14T10:54:00

Loved the instructions in your voice, cool idea! Although self explanatory game in general ;)

I too would have loved a non full restart, those spikes are tricksy hobbits.

Atomic Space Vikings by AtomicVikings 2014-12-10T03:18:00

Great game, seriously. Really fun stuff. The only issue I have (which is what a lot of others have been saying) is that only the Carrier can kill the base which means you have to wait ages even if you've already effectively won the game. Letting everyone attack the base would open up a lot more strategies

SCREEN HEAD by NickZangus 2014-12-11T10:20:00

Fun premise and I love the switching dudes mechanic. Could take it a lot of places with more enemy types. Good stuff!

Avoid Rage by jackrugile 2014-12-14T10:49:00

Exactly what I love to see from a Ludum Dare game. An extremely simple but ingenious mechanic and a bucket load of style and substance. Color changing is gorgeous and the mechanic feels like a gamified PIN number entry! Gotta perfect my micro skillz

Great job, man!

Squareon by okkolobr 2014-12-15T12:25:00

Really neat idea, very different from the usual game I've played. Nice job! Now to treat my eyestrain ;)

BBQ DAD by Luke Molnar 2014-12-15T12:57:00

198! I'm super average... so sad. I guess I've got to pre-emptively cook stuff to get the high scores... that sounds like a very irresponsible dad to me!

Very fun game and, like everyone else has said, amazing voicework. One of my favourites so far!

I want a BUUURGER PADDY!

Entity Unchained by ViliX64 2014-12-14T12:05:00

Didn't think I'd be into the ASCII but in the end it was great! Nice job with the style and feeling of the combat, it was cool. I wish there was a little more variety to the enemies that spawned though. Perhaps I was unlucky but it appears that every room in the same level has the same enemy config.

Commando Finest Hour by Meta-link 2014-12-15T00:57:00

Ahhh zombie footballers spawning right behind me! Apart from that, it was a fun little game. Have no idea what you are going for with the theme, but the craziness made it more enjoyable :)

I'd have loved to actually shoot the gun though, instead of it acting like a melee weapon. Those footballers hurt!

Law Breaker by deepnight 2014-12-09T10:15:00

Looks absolutely gorgeous, would have been cool to be able to jack cop cars though ;)

One criticism (hope it's constructive) is the lack of walls to protect against projectiles. The cop dudes shoot through everything so you can't use the environment much against them. Outrunning them didn't feel particularly skillful, but more of a time constraint ("if I drive long enough, they'll be too far behind").

Force Feedback by kumoi 2014-12-11T10:13:00

Haha that was pretty good, loved the physics in the room and the game

Screen Ego Aegis by LegacyCrono 2014-12-16T14:27:00

This was a lot of fun. I love that graphical effect of showing the game in the screen as you play. Really cool!

Daddy Ghoul by Maxom 2014-12-14T10:16:00

Interesting mechanic... so you have to die in a place that's safe and then lure guys away with your next life so the corpse rots and spawns bugs to kill the ghosts? Haha that was a long sentence.

Graphics and lighting was very pretty and a unique mechanic indeed! Nice job

Alex Takes a Test by Chris M 2014-12-08T08:36:00

Really unique, loving the dual aspect part of the game. The TV dodging is super intense with that music!

And I think that's the most beautiful door I ever did see.

Existential by LukeZaz 2014-12-14T09:41:00

Really like the idea of stuff going off the screen being destroyed, I just wish you had a level design that promoted backtracking or whatnot to make use of it more.

Hive by JoshDBB 2014-12-11T01:33:00

Hey Joshua, I can't get the game to work

"Unable to load mono library from "C:/Users/XXX/Desktop/Ludum Dare Games/Hive/Hive_Data/Mono/mono.dll" (error = 126)."

Labyrinthian by BlackBulletIV 2014-12-14T10:08:00

Great lighting, very cool effect. So disorienting which I suppose is what you were going for. Top notch mood!

Gameplay wise I really wanted to like this, it reminds me of Darkwood which looks super cool, but I was just dying to everything so easily. By the time you see what's hitting you, it's already too late... and I found myself constantly shooting my gun so that the muzzle flash would light the area around me! That as a mechanic would be really cool, like an expendable flash you can use if you really need to see all around you... but when available at all times it becomes abuseable (although I still died too much!)

A Fine White Line by Taunia Sabanski 2014-12-15T12:12:00

Very pretty and sounds great but I just couldn't figure out what to do. I eventually cleaned the hammer with a cloth, although I first spent 30 seconds clicking a sink. Then I tried to put it in an incinerator but that didn't work, so i washed it and had to put it back... but I went to the basement and the attic and couldn't find any sort of place a hammer would go!

Some more help would be much appreciated in-game. It's a really great concept and super expandable, I'd love to see a full game about it, but in this level I just can't make sense of anything with my reasonably logical brain

Avalanche by uvwar 2014-12-14T10:45:00

Honestly I couldn't get past the Avalanche on my 4th try and by that point the AWESOME MUSIC was driving me insane. Can it be won?!

Nice humor and I love the low poly style... and that dreaded music :D

Oi! Menu!? by davient 2014-12-09T01:10:00

Hilarious and completely nuts!

Oi! Menu!? by davient 2014-12-16T10:45:00

Nah Krunoslav, it's English for "HEY YOU!" ;)

Terra Kata by jmborden 2014-12-11T01:36:00

Wow this is super tough! Nice idea though, it's just a shame that half the time the terrain generated isn't possible to pass (or I'm just shit at the game haha)

Random Name Attack by bnmkt 2014-12-11T10:09:00

Good job for your first game man, all the comments here say the same stuff I would so just commenting to show support :)

Hazard Lab by JohnGalt 2014-12-09T11:59:00

I played Level 2 (i liked the fire symbol) and it was hard but I didn't feel there was anything I could do to make it easier. Once the strains got too long, the whole thing seemed so arbitrary and random.

Neat idea though.

Flailing Arm Ninja vs Pirates! by RougeRogue 2014-12-14T10:33:00

Dat control list.

Once I figured it out, it's fun! As someone mentioned, not sure how much strategy can be gleaned from it... but the music and art is great and the boss is really really CREEPY. Gonna have nightmares about that guy.

Neon Z City by Odefus 2014-12-08T08:33:00

Very interesting concept indeed, although I wish there was some way to disconnect yourself from the world so you can move to the other side of the city without dragging your safe guys into the middle xD

Lots of potential expansion with the idea, nice job!

Houston, We've Got a Problem by MrBadIvan 2014-12-16T08:56:00

I like this idea a lot. I love games like this and The Yawhg where you experiment with certain configurations to try and find the best one. I got to around 713 days by my 3rd try :)

Overall the main issue is that there's such a lack of agency since you're just reading what happens and it appears to be quite random (whereas most of these games tend to have fixed outcomes). For example, one time I had 3 Defender guys.. I posted one on each end of the ship and one in the middle (in case positioning matters) and the first event to happen was a predator eating a worker. What can I do except roll the dice again?

The theming, graphics and sound are great and it's very dark in theme, which is great :) I made a similar game last year called Outdoor. Right up my alley. Can't wait to play the updated version!

Space Iron by Caspila 2014-12-11T10:25:00

Really fun. I love the grenade, especially the sound effect, although that lazer phaser thing felt a bit useless. The difficulty started really low for ages but then suddenly went into hyper mode xD

Loved the song too

Office Gaming Inception by AMS 2014-12-11T10:03:00

Haha this is absolutely brilliant. What a great idea and an absolutely madcap game to play :)

none by Frederick Purifoy 2014-12-14T09:47:00

I should have read the description to see the point of the game xD I really feel you need to add an arrow or something to show the direction of your circle, because it's impossible to know where you're heading if you stop!

The idea is interesting, running around a spacestation and fixing systems, but with no map or idea what anything in the station is.. I was just driving around and doing nothing apparently!

Rainbow-Maze by grid96 2014-12-13T10:46:00

Fiendishly difficult. I couldn't figure out the speed tile one so that's how far I got. I also skipped the level where you have to get through the passage before the door closes because I swear it's not possible in the laws of physics to get down there and through in time!

You Are Lost by farwyler 2014-12-09T01:33:00

Might be missing something but I couldn't do anything but get eaten xD

Beautifully presented game though, the art and style is gorgeous

Liquid Media Games by liquidmedia 2014-12-15T00:44:00

Like many others, I really don't understand what's happening or what the point is. The controls didn't seem to work for me either, except movement. I couldn't fire or rotate.

It's a shame because I love hardcore physics simulations (Spintires yay!)

Rocket Jump Rampage by Code Medicine 2014-12-11T03:49:00

Really fun and great concept. The art is beautiful, as are the animations

I was dying (literally and figuratively) for some air control though, especially on level 3 where I just had to give up from frustration. Level 3 was actually really well designed though, despite being my quitting point.

One fix I'd really recommend is speeding up the respawn time, it's unnecessarily high for a game where you die so much

The Lonely Realm of Tom Thaum, the Space Wizard by JJEvil 2014-12-11T01:51:00

Probably the most frustrating game I've ever played lol. The concept itself is really neat, I love the idea behind it... but the balancing had me pulling my hair out. Extract costs way too much Will and I have no idea when it will even work (if noticed some indication as to when it would actually grab something, maybe it would be ok). The tower itself I got to like stage 5 or something but then there were no tower parts or Will spawning so I had to just stand there and watch it all die.

Maybe I'm completely missing something though. If it was balanced it would be amazing, I think.

Attack of the Questionable Snowmen by nine baobabs 2014-12-13T10:39:00

Simple but fun. I found it a little easy I suppose, as you could herd the snowmen together and endlessly run around them. As it takes so long to kill them, I found myself just suiciding because I got a little tired of kiting

Bionic Bliss by Mechamew 2014-12-15T13:09:00

Amazing entry! The level of polish is astounding. Really funny and well written too. Great work

PS: I'll try and figure out how to compile to Mac in Gamemaker to get you a build for Silian Rail :)

Richard Bruck in the Dark by Kovalsky 2014-12-11T10:35:00

Gorgeous art, although I found interacting with the hammers and collecting planks a little unintuitive. Overall I kind of had no idea what I was doing when all the black stuff comes into the house and it was really hard to tell where my character was or if he was doing anything useful

CUBE Clicker by Polyganz 2014-12-11T09:56:00

It's beauuuuutiful. Definitely should develop this into some packaged thingy, it's getting a lot of love!

PS: Add goblins.

Pengie by GeorgeBroussard 2014-12-14T11:54:00

Once I figured out you could run off one side and appear on the other, I finally got it! Nice game. A little like a Mario combined with Super Crate Box. Satisfying feeling bump mechanic and fun challenging gameplay :) Nice one!

LD33 — You are the Monster

Beastial Beats Tour by Warboys 2015-08-25T00:29:00

Were you using a Gamepad? Currently I don't have keyboard support

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Double Kick Heroes by blackmagic 2015-12-16T14:03:00

Phenomenal art and sound production, this shit is like full retail game quality. I'm like jaw-droppingly impressed.

Problems?

There wasn't much gameplay. It's not really a shoot 'em up because you're not aiming or moving or shooting. As a rhythm action game it's a little too simplistic.

Well level 3 was just dreadful, the song and the note chart didn't seem to match half the time. It felt like some tech metal off-beat stuff that just didn't really vibe with me.

The very long screen resolution was also killing my eyes, I've played tons of rhythm action games before but none of them gave me eye strain and a headache as bad as this one. Because there's only one button, this also helps contribute to it and general readability issues (i.e. Track 3).

Sorry if I come across as negative, it's an amazing piece of work and therefore I feel it's more important to be honest and nit-picky. With games of this graphical quality, I find many reviewers have rose-tinted glasses on.

Don't Mess With Totems by winesays 2015-12-16T09:29:00

Beautiful with some great feedback for the SLAMdown! Not a tremendous fan of the gameplay, although I didn't realize you could double jump until I just read the controls here :P I was about to comment that some of the generated obstacles are impossible to pass, but I suppose a double jump would have made it ok.

It felt like there was pretty much no pressure at times to advance up when I got stuck trying to jump a ridge, so I could just take my time and spam jump without any consequences.

PSYCHOTENNIS by pkenney 2015-12-20T22:29:00

Thanks pkenney for your feedback on Slum Runner. I'll definitely be playing PSYCHOTENNIS as soon as I can. Away for Christmas but I'll get to it in the new year, just want to let you know :)

PSYCHOTENNIS by pkenney 2015-12-28T16:34:00

This was pretty fun! It reminds me of a single player Lethal League, which is always great :) I'd have loved a little bit more control over where my ball went in relation to my strike (it felt like you could only hit the ball one way), apart from that great job!

Really like the art style too, nicely done

Dead Man's Volley by DragonXVI 2015-12-16T09:24:00

Definitely the best game I've played so far in terms of polish and a great idea. Nicely done! I found it to be waaaaaay too difficult (didn't defeat ANYONE) but the mechanic is really cool and the art/audio is tremendous.

St. Orchint's Orphanage by Double Zero One Zero 2015-12-16T13:15:00

I really like the idea and you've totally nailed the mood with such great art and sound, but there were a lot of quality of life issues that sort of hampered the experience for me.

The game auto pausing all the time was infuriating, it's like every 10 seconds I have to click the play button... no idea how anyone plays with something faster than the default speed :p

Food as 'expenses' didn't register with me for ages, for some reason... not sure why, perhaps me just being stupid. I also couldn't figure out how to put kids into school except when the current term ends. I started with 10 kids and had to have 15 for the mission, so I added 5 after the first 10 graduated and then the mission ended before I could finish. Overall I was in a lot of confusion most of the way through it haha.

I liked that you were sort of pushed to stick all the kids in coal mines, as you weren't earning enough money to feed everyone. Kids dying never seemed to really be an issue to address, as it was a slow trickle, so I suppose it's possible to regret your decisions later when you start running out of kids!

Mobsferatu by CremaGames 2015-12-18T13:56:00

Great stuff... don't know what to say apart from that it's superb all over. One minor bug I experienced was when the front of my mob wasn't the main dude I was controlling, that was weird. I fell down a hole but then picked up my mob lying on the floor later :P

Get to the Points by recursor 2015-12-16T12:54:00

Quite therapeutic to play :) I like the voice noises for the popping balls.

The game itself is fun, I found the solution was very easy for the first 5-6 levels that I played.. then it was easy but trying to get the arrows to point in the right way was the hard part. Getting them to split correctly was most of the problem for me

Kudzu: I Can Grow Forever... by Ryusui 2015-12-15T12:27:00

The way you've got the bugs attacking is really nice. I feel I can weave in and out of them while trying to stay in the sun. The plant growing in the background is really gorgeous too, nice owrk :)

Lands of TSR Lore by Christina Antoinette Neofotistou 2015-12-15T14:12:00

Dat miss chance! Really good looking game, I haven't actually played these ye olde style dungeon crawlers so the whole movement and exploration took getting used to.

Celestine got dead while I was figuring them out, damn slimes!

RE: Kickstarter.
Need to see a lot more for a Kickstarter approval (in-game and a roadmap for future features and where it will go from here).

Coalesce by alyphen 2015-12-16T09:17:00

I get a login unsuccessful message :( Shame because I really wanna play!

Pete and the Beanstalk by SeriousCreeper 2015-12-16T10:07:00

This is brilliant! Exhilarating, satisfying, and super polished. I played a few other game with a similar endless running side switch mechanic but this is by far the best in terms of game design (which is what I value ;) )

CMDR LR by timtipgames 2015-12-16T11:29:00

Tons of fun! I like how complete it all feels. Great polish, smooth controls, fun level designs. Love the score submission too, it's amazing how much it makes you want to optimize your play and retry each level.

Two thumbs up!

WONKS by moltanem2000 2015-12-15T13:58:00

Never seen a 3D Game Maker game before, would you recommend it? I only do 2D stuff in GM.

Nice mood to this game, and the audio is really nice. I didn't realize the game wasn't finished so I just ran around picking up seeds for 5 minutes ;)

Fun with magnets! by Ithildin 2015-12-16T09:53:00

The style is lovely and I like the idea of the gameplay. Personally I found it to be a little slow to ramp up, and the controls (not being able to go left and right when you want) were frustrating. It would have been really cool if pressing left/right would move the platform and pressing both buttons together would toggle the polarity.

Harmony Bloom by Bensonance 2015-12-16T13:43:00

It's super unclear that the plant plots are linked to those coloured squares, took me a good 3 minutes to figure that one out... then I had to backtrack all the way to the start to do the ones I'd wandered past :p

The mood is really nice, and I love the effects (especially planting some big fuchsia flower in that dead forest). Very swords and sworcery feeling too.

The Daring Entrepreneur by zedutchgandalf 2015-12-18T12:23:00

I like incremental games and the key to a good one is great balance. I find that there's a large gulf of nothing to do between buying the Neon Sign and expanding your store (I have 20 customers and a line, but nothing to click). Also after expanding I've not got many options.

Add some more things to buy and I think you've got something good going here :)

Tamagotchi Hell by Troyan 2015-12-18T13:08:00

God I really wanted to play this one but I can't figure out what's going on for the life of me. I give it a red bottle and the bar fills up, a white one and it goes down? Sometimes I do a red one and it goes down.

Agghh!

I won't do a rating yet, since I need to actually understand the game first :P

Grow, Thrive, Evolve by Taffaz 2015-12-16T12:16:00

I had a good time :) I really liked the music, very suiting to the survival of the fittest!

There was something very unsettling about the create art and chasing behaviour, was scary when those birds were after you!

Vice Grip by wulfdesign 2015-12-15T18:00:00

Interesting theme. The jumping and running mechanics felt good, although I also fell through some moving platforms and felt that getting damaged could do with a bit more feedback.

Arc by ChuiGum 2015-12-28T17:01:00

Jesus effing Christ this is hard. Brilliant game concept and it feels pretty tight, although I'd 100% make the music less obnoxious because it felt like some dude was prodding my brain with a needle while I was trying to concentrate super hard. This game rewards patience and the music made me insane :P

Great job though, solid concept and it's devilishly addictive despite making me cry for 5-10 minutes. I got 5 as my best score, pathetic but I ain't got the patience for this!

Plants Attack by Luxorix 2015-12-15T13:20:00

Pretty game with simple but addictive gameplay, like it! The electro shocker things are very satisfying :)

Skill Clicker by XtremePrime 2015-12-16T10:13:00

I like clicker games but usually when they start replacing clicks with automated machines (i.e. Grannies in Cookie Clicker) because my finger hurts haha.

Do the resources you pick matter at all? My finger killed too much for me to dive deep into the content. It would be very interesting for a clicker to have some sort of resource requirements where you couldn't complete all of them (which is the standard clicker formula) or if you used the clicker gameplay but for something like supplying a town with resources that it demands.

PS: Using Right mouse to go back in the menu would be a lot more intuitive too (I think you can still use ESC to exit the game if you're worried about the two-button limit!).

Journey of a Ball by guoboism 2015-12-15T11:59:00

Really good job, Bruce. Great mood again, you're so good at the mood stuff. The water level was my favourite, very unique controls for that one.

The end was tense, but I think you missed a great opportunity. The kid should have kicked the ball over the fence again! I would cried laughing (I did just at the thought :P)

Growing experiment by LabOne 2015-12-15T12:34:00

There is something kind of horrifying with those pink ball chains hunting you down. The game itself is kind of hard. With all the enemies chasing you, I never had a chance to really turn around and shoot anyone!

Impulse by Nega Drive 2015-12-16T09:47:00

Got 9.22km... sort of proud, haha. Pretty hard game due to the sluggish feeling of the ship and the reaaaally tight gaps.

Overall it's pretty damn fun! I like endless runners and some of the patterns here were really challenging to get past on the fly, but they felt mostly fair.

Cultivate by kmakai 2016-01-03T21:18:00

This was really nice. I like the writing a lot and it's very impressive how you've created such distinctive characters in such a short time. That Simon guy has ISSUES :P

Loved the Tennis mini-game btw, very inventive.

Give and Take by Move127 2015-12-18T14:21:00

I'm not 100% sure what's happening behind the scenes, but this is lovely. I like how it sort of grows a life of its own, allowing you to just watch it and be hypnotized :)

Death is Growing by muriel 2015-12-15T11:44:00

Overall the idea for randomized skills is really nice, but I think the actual killing of dudes needs a little more work. It feels more frustrating than fun a lot of the time, I also keep getting popped into the air for some unknown reason.

The UI also isn't super clear as to how much life you have or what's going on in the game, mainly because i'm so focused on the action in the center of the screen that I can't avert my attention to the UI on the edges. Maybe pop stuff up?

Let's Play Simulator 2016 by zulman 2015-12-28T17:13:00

Very interesting to make a sort of video game trivia competition out of a Let's Play theme, but hey... it's kinda fun! The references were a bit off for me half the time, mainly with the developer, but I could guess pretty regularly based on the game name and genre.

Looks and sounds great too, nice work.

Money Tree by vogon101 2015-12-15T18:26:00

I'm really bad at these types of games, don't have the patience for all the numbers! Still, it's a cool concept and I like that you can sort of choose your own difficulty by following as many stocks as you think you can handle... for me that was 1 :P

Someone Who Isn't Mario Teaches How Not to Type by TCP786 2015-12-15T13:07:00

Haha that music. Kind of wish there was a version with actual words to type, I like typing games :)

Parse The Sky by dustyroom 2015-12-16T10:02:00

Superb audio-visual experience, just read the above comments to see my shared view on how gorgeous the game is. The controls felt really off to me, though. I could never get the plane to go where I wanted which was a big shame.

The Snowball effect by NuvlearGames 2015-12-15T13:22:00

Not understanding this game very well. If I don't press anything I still keep going? And the snowball is bigger than the screen?

Will play again if there's something I've missed :p

Hard Decisions by vortex 2015-12-18T11:43:00

I guess I won and lost at the same time? Played a few times doing negative and positive reactions and then a mix of both, I suppose there's no way out of being blown to smithereen? ;)

Really like the art style and mood (it would have been extra nice with some audio), and the subject matter is compelling... if the options were a little binary. I really hope there isn't a system of responding with only A or B with access to nukes!

Garden Grow by justinooncx 2015-12-27T21:11:00

Hah, I was not expecting that! From reading the instructions I was expecting some sort of growing game but I actually got a pretty fun survival platformer (never played anything like that before!).

Really interesting idea and it's a lot of fun. Nice work!

Winter Quest by michidk 2015-12-15T13:38:00

I tried the first level 3 times and I guess I have to pick up every single snow particle to make it over the canyon? It was just taking way too long and I lost patience with the trial and error :(

Looks like a cool concept though, a little like katamary damacy

Xtreme Crop Duster Simulator '82 by rjhelms 2015-12-18T10:36:00

Fun game overall. I'd have loved to have seen some more feedback when pressing up or down. I thought the only way to move down was by pointing your nose for a lot of it, so it was ultra hard because there's no feedback for when you're just descending with a single down press.

LD games are always so damn difficult, I feel like a very inadequate gamer :p

LOAD"KHOMODORIA+2.RPG",8,1 by Creative Sectors 2015-12-28T17:45:00

Wow, tons of content, great job on that. Very ambitious project, as an RPG needs a ton of writing and branching choices to really be compelling but there are the seeds of something really cool in here.

Although it's a pain to say, as you had such little time, but a little more variety in the music would make the whole thing a little less repetitive ;) But that's the most obvious advice ever. The boss fight seemed very arbitrary too, I had no idea what would do damage and when. It seemed that pressing Right > Left was the only reliable way to reduce the golem's health bar but that might have just been coincidence.

Once again though, good work!

RE: Slum Runner. I maaaay work more on it. I had another mechanic (access cards) already built but didn't have the time to make levels for it, especially as each level had to continue the story somewhat. Unfortunately the way I built the game (super hacky) made each level a real pain to build, and then with the story interludes I'd have to refactor to allow multi-stage levels or write content between each level for the foreseeable future :P

So we'll see, it depends on how it's received and how much work it will be to probably code the whole thing again and perhaps see if a real artist is interested ;)

Crusader Climber Quest 64 by SSJMetroid 2015-12-15T11:33:00

Hahaha this is brilliant! Really love the mechanic and the audio is hilarious. I'd totally want to play a more polished and full version of this... it would be cool to have checkpoints and maybe add a Hero's Quest as he climbs the bean stalk :)

SAAAM by Ogniok 2015-12-18T12:36:00

Man these graphics suck. Juuust kidding! Overall tremendous level of polish.

It felt like SOMA mixed with Stanley Parable, which is cool.

Like a few others have said, the pacing is really slow... I wanted to see more and different choices but I can't put myself through all the intro dialogue again and again. Another gripe is that Left-click is to disobey and right-click is to obey. Feels backwards to me.

I decided to basically go down to storage to see what would happen if I screwed around. As it's a 72 hour jam, I'm sure it would be tough, but I feel that choice needed to have a longer pathway. It felt like I just went downstairs, pressed a button... then game over. Kind of annoying since I'd spent so much time doing the start stuff. Stanley gets around this by starting you at the 2-door decision, so something similar would be nice (like maybe starting you at the elevator).

Lost Contact by commodoreKid 2015-12-15T12:47:00

When I figured out I needed to build mines, everything fit into place ;)

Fun game, maybe could do with some difficulty ramp up (perhaps increase the costs of additional turrets and mines). The music is great too

Oklahoma Tempest by Fanatrick 2015-12-15T18:30:00

Beautiful art, those sun-rays... Mmmmm. Gameplay-wise, I'm looking for a little more depth with the movement of the tornado. I don't know how effectively I could fling things with my movements (i.e. Throwing a tractor into a dude), but I was hoping I could.

SUPER SCIENCE CORP by Hot Box Games 2015-12-18T11:36:00

Really brilliant stuff. Hilarious dialogue, solid gameplay, horrifying creatures (god those gaping maw things were terrifying). Not sure what else to say! The hand cannon bullets seemed a little buggy at times, hitting invisible collision objects somewhere. That's my only gripe! Also I was hoping that sweeping would be more used in terms of the combat design, although I got to use it a ton in the last room... great work!

Beyond Happily Ever After by MoonlightBomber 2015-12-15T11:20:00

Nice message, although I don't know if I agree with the self-actualization and bodies comment :P

Beyond Happily Ever After by MoonlightBomber 2015-12-15T11:21:00

Nice message, although I don't know if I agree with the self-actualization and bodies comment :P

It seems like this couple is extremely unlucky and people are quite devious wherever this is set. They have so many criminal interactions!

Santa Rush by Dohxis 2015-12-16T12:26:00

Super duper hard. I really like the graphics but I couldn't get too much into the gameplay because of the difficulty! :(

bat story by maunovaha 2015-12-15T18:21:00

Really like the flying mechanic, felt great although switching was sometimes a little tough. The guards were assholes though, they kept stepping on my head and I couldn't escape haha.

Got to the end eventually though... did I die? :O

Wöbble by joe 2015-12-15T13:51:00

Really nice mood to this, and the growing shrinking mechanic is fiendish at times :) I wish I didn't need so much trial and error, but it was fun trying to figure out when and where I should expand/shrink

Lifenodes. by Remicy 2015-12-16T13:48:00

Very thoughtful entry. I was hoping to get ending #15 but I couldn't figure it out. #14 was nice though :)

It's Something by RougeRogue 2015-12-15T12:19:00

Geez this is hard! The first song is doable but the second one is like lightning speed haha. Nice work though, especially if you're doing exams :) Love rhythm games though (I made a broken one last LD).

Btw is there a reason why the bar is so close to the bottom of the screen? It would be really helpful to be hitting them around the top and not when you've only got around 100px to determine what the pattern is :P

Hero Feed Co. by SkullPixel 2015-12-16T13:32:00

Frustratingly hard but I really love the idea of the game. It would be great to have some slower/stupider enemies at the beginning so you can figure out the gameplay somewhat.

Art style is great, works very well.

Spread by gogo199432 2015-12-16T10:19:00

Great sense of style and a really unique theme and idea. Nice job!

The 5-lights puzzle I seemed to complete but didn't understand at all, the 3-4 times it popped up! haha

I also got stuck at one point on the first really big level, after I infected the TV there was no-where else to go and I couldn't seem to scroll the screen back to another branching point. Not sure if that was me screwing up or the game :P

Feed Me! by UrbanHelsing 2015-12-18T12:56:00

Wonderful idea and unique controls. I liked them a lot at first but then rowing hurt my fingers eventually, would be superb with Xbox controller support!

Isoshoot by kiiro94 2015-12-15T12:15:00

Fun little game! I died once and restarted, then died again and the game didn't let me restart (just a bug report for ya).

I don't know what it is but I really love the style and angled approach to the game. The multi-hits to kill a block mechanic rewards accuracy, which I liked a lot.

Nice job!

Squirrel Forest by Luminar 2015-12-27T21:35:00

Wonderful music and a really nice mood. The gameplay itself was firstly super confusing as nothing seemed to happen and I didn't realize it was a tower defense for ages :P

After a while I understood what was happening but found the balance of progression quite topsy turvy and slow. With some balancing this could be really cool.

Back on Earth by anael 2015-12-16T09:13:00

Gorgeous looking game, the art and animations (mmmm the key!) are sexy! I also really like how the game ends. I was expecting it to continue but the final sentence just stuck there is quite powerful.

Boo capitalism ;)

Barber Chop by AngrySquirrels 2015-12-15T18:17:00

Brilliant stuff. Played a lot of rhythm games since I started rating and this is the best one by far. Firstly it's synced properly (seriously lol), and secondly the progression in the note patterns is very well designed. Felt very natural for me to just jump into, which is usually tough for new rhythm games.

Great aesthetics too. Superb job :)

Bicephalisnake by tphx 2015-12-15T11:28:00

Really interesting idea, it took a while to get to grips with at first but once I figured it out things became a lot easier and less frustrating. Room wrap is definitely a good design choice, I didn't know you could do it for a while but then I hit a wall and learnt ;)

It gets really hard really fast, which is something to think about if you keep working on it. Because you need to think a lot more than regular snake, the length + speed increases take you from 'Ahh it's a little bit slow' to 'OMG MY ASS IS IN MY FACE' real fast!

Montenegro 1961 by fergarram 2015-12-18T12:50:00

I got stuck after filling the bucket. Looks great though and has a really nice mood. Had to use hints on the comments here too much though :(

[JJJ] - Jolly Jail Jumper by AwesomeAlliterationAlliance 2015-12-28T16:54:00

Well this is wonderful, phenomenal job on animation and the level design is fiendish. I found the final tutorial stage to be really tough so on Level 1 I got completely destroyed (I kept dying when I got past the first part of the level, I don't know why I was dying).

Only gripes I have are the crazy difficulty curve, which probably could have been made less severe, and also the way that you often have to die a few times before you can complete a level because it's impossible to know when obstacles will appear without having been killed by them first. Also tab + space are strange controls in my opinion, I often got my head mixed up in particularly fast areas

Great stuff though, seriously. This is one of the best games I've played in any LD.

Kitty Glacier Surfing by HUMANICS 2015-12-28T08:53:00

Kitty Glacier Surfing... OKAY! Overall I liked the feel of surfing once I got used to the controls, although I didn't feel the need to jump much. I think I was trying to avoid everything and only just realized you could kill snowmen. I just flew into them and died :D

It would be wonderful to have a bit more feedback when you get hit and lose a life. Sometimes I was hitting rocks and taking no damage, whereas if I was even 1 meter away from a tree it felt like I got damaged by it.

Just a fatty cat by logon13 2015-12-15T18:04:00

Some weird issues with moving forward sometimes but overall I like the movement, feels very unique. The cardboard cutout art style is really nice too.

Can't Jump by x92rwzb 2015-12-16T10:50:00

I can't get past the first level :( Can you share some sort of hint so I can play more? I won't rate yet, as I can't give it a fair review

One Man Spaceship by MrDave 2015-12-18T12:18:00

Hilarious audio and a really unique experience, good job!

Models! by Obvious Industries 2015-12-15T11:51:00

Haha this is just nuts, absurd humor really adds a ton to the game. The walking mechanic caused me to fail a lot at the start (thankfully everything was hilarious so I kept at it), but once I got the hang of it I was twirling around and making unicorn rainbow puke.

Mt Etubo by thebrickanator 2015-12-28T16:41:00

Excellent style and I absolutely loved the intro and tutorial combination. The game is reaaaaally hard. Those tiny blobs of lava were the big killers for me, it felt nigh on impossible to dodge them and the balance of the amount of dudes felt quite unforgiving.

Still, I like the concept a lot and movement also felt very good on top of the style! Nice work

Boom Boom Balloon! by DavidErosa 2016-01-03T15:05:00

Heh this is a fun little game, really liked the mood and sounds to go with the very precise gameplay. It feels really good and the difficulty ramps up nicely. Good work :)

FLOW by Romixal 2015-12-18T14:30:00

Interesting experience. Does it have an end or just goes on infinitely? I kept hunting the static but eventually I have to sadly admit that I got bored after about 5 mins of trying to find it.

Really pretty piece of work though

Bloodrinker and the Terrible Tower by Ilseroth 2015-12-18T11:50:00

Love the concept, just need some sort of clarity as to when and where you are in relation to the platform and when you jump. I fell down the tower way too many times, which was super annoying. Nonetheless, I really like the feeling of jumping from this angle (in theory) and with some more active and satisfying combat this could be really cool

Hopeless Planet by korvyashka 2015-12-16T09:42:00

I really love this idea, feeding the pet to give him stats and then sending him to hunt for stuff. It's a little like a super-fast turn based version of Fallout Shelter's exploring. Lots of potential here!

For this jam version, I found it pretty hard. Not knowing what will hurt you or harm you was painful trial and error (eating pet shit gives you HP but eating a mushroom hurts you?). When the pet comes back with nothing after 4 days and you picked the best % chance, it feels like a slap in the face :(

Still, great potential and with a little more communication and balancing it could be really really good

Interstellar Cruise by Drauthius 2015-12-28T09:05:00

Enjoyable game! I became bankrupt super quickly on my first try as I didn't read the instructions about income clearly xD

After that I felt the game was a little easy, I had very little need to expand or build more than 1/2 of each room as none of the needs were particularly high. Got to around 63 citizens before ending my game.

Like others have said, not being able to cancel selection is a big problem. Sometimes the game wouldn't allow a connection that looked perfectly fine to me, which was frustrating.

Overall though, great game and I'd love to see more of it :)

Yggshroom by Ghen 2015-12-27T21:46:00

OMG that sound... so annoying haha.

Apart from that this is a nice little game! I played another concept almost identical to this with a robot and some nukes, but this is a much better gameplay experience for sure. Nice work on the graphics too!

Lol at the backstory, completely nuts.

Avoid and Un-Avoid by Andrew 2015-12-16T11:14:00

This was a lot of fun. I really like the switching mechanic although sometimes it's a little tough to gain health as purple if the big beam doesn't spawn

Little Big Dash by Evannex 2015-12-18T10:05:00

Brilliant idea, very unique. I had a lot of trouble as there didn't seem to be enough time to grow after I'd seen what's coming up. This is a case where I'd totally want hand-crafted level design over generation, at least until I got the hang of things.

Blood Cleaner by Tanton-XHX 2016-01-03T14:49:00

This was really fun! I like the rotation weapon change mechanic a lot, in fact I was working on something similar years and years ago but never fleshed it out. Nice to see it works :)

The difficulty is pretty high very early on, so many bullets but I'm trying to aim my diagonals at the enemies on the floor so it was really tough!

High Noon Swinger by saucygames 2016-01-03T21:24:00

This is really interesting, very unique art style and I really enjoyed the tense gameplay. Sometimes I wish the computer wasn't so good, or that you had a couple of lives, but overall it's good stuff!

The Wild Flower's Song by NidzaKornjaca 2015-12-15T13:31:00

Pretty :) I really wish I could appreciate poetry, but alas!

Note on the gameplay, I wanted to move around and make the tree grow in all kinds of ways, but often I'd see the next pickup too late and not be able to reach it in time. So in the end I just sat back and let it grow straight up until pickups arrived.

Time Block by Dalkor 2015-12-16T13:51:00

Another tough game (why don't people ever ramp up difficulty slowly in LD games? lol), with really unique controls.

aSCALErate by Strike 2015-12-16T09:08:00

The RNG is strong with this one :P Fun little game, could only test single-player unfortunately.

Not sure how much I like the shrink mechanic, grow is cool but when you pick up 3 shrinks in a row it just feels so terribly unfair :(

OSHIYA! PUSH! by inbetweengames 2015-12-18T10:20:00

Haha what a great theme, and a very unique concept. Great job on the production side, it looks and sounds crazy and it's very amusing.

I found the gameplay a little loose and muddy... i.e. I couldn't really tell if I was playing correctly or not and I seemed to miss the rhythm stuff completely for the first 2 levels :P

Hello Darkness by jcmonkey 2015-12-18T14:36:00

Dude, keep your principles! I just read the summed up feedback and while I agree with the audio being pretty bad, you don't have to compromise EVERYTHING. I got up to level 7 and nothing felt too long, the spikes didn't need a notification (although running into them AFTER they've popped up shouldn't kill you), avoiding mobs is also perfectly cool. The mine mechanic wasn't very well developed, but there's nothing wrong with it in essence, you just need a more complete system of mob AI and behaviours so that you can create some tricky puzzles or challenging gameplay with the mines.

Grats on your first LD, keep it up!

Ogre Smash by muffty 2015-12-15T18:35:00

Haha I have no idea what's happening but it seems really interesting. I played it like a memory game, trying to remember what I said before and repeat it properly. Not sure why hitting a tree hurt me :P

So yeah, a little explanation as to what's happening would be cool... for some reason I'm assuming it's some awesome AI training program but maybe it's all in my human head :D

Retro Rebound Challenge! by schizoid2k 2015-12-18T10:28:00

OWWWWHHH! My feelings exactly ;)

I found the first 'lets start easy' level to be the hardest! At least until I got to the green blocks and then I was screwed :P

The ball seems to have physics applied to it? So it didn't feel completely like breakout (where it would always reach a wall and bounce), so that was interesting. I wish the gap below you would open up a lot slower on the harder levels, or maybe reset a bit after losing a ball. It's even possible to lose a ball and then the gap is so big that your next ball is impossible to reach in time. So work that out and I can see it being a lot more fun :)

Lurking Lights by xiin 2015-12-15T12:53:00

Great mood, the art style is really cool and the music is nice. Like others have said, increasing the move speed would do wonders... I was hopping everywhere to move faster!

Red Concert by tantumgames 2015-12-28T17:09:00

Very polished with a great style. There's a lot of problems with the general game feel, as the feeling of shooting, getting hit, and movement/picking up stuff, is quite sluggish. The story felt a bit weird too, not sure what was going on... you're some rock n roll spy? :P

Punch Beat by AboLD 2015-12-18T10:59:00

Reminds me of One Finger Death Punch (which is always a good thing)! I feel it got quite buggy, as I was punching guys from miles away at times, but then guys were running through me at others. Not sure if it was behaviour bugginess or display errors.

Beautiful art and animation, the music was interesting and got kinda weird (but I guess that's what happens when you have players interacting with it)

Repulsion by DieBackStudios 2015-12-15T14:16:00

Fun game. The pumping style is awesome, an audio-visual treat :) Found the game pretty hard, and punishing, but I can see myself enjoying it if I sunk the time in

2 Roll by lawendt 2015-12-18T10:01:00

Damn this game is hard! I had a really tough time getting through more than 2 doors before the thorns got me.

Really cool concept and a great mood. Despite me sucking, I had a good time and would totally play an 'easier at the start' version some more :)

Attack Of The Radioactive Octopus From A Planet Near Mars by donvermo 2015-12-15T11:09:00

Nice idea! The music got really good as the game went on and I really like the difficulty progression. It's hard to keep track of all the tentacles, I'm sure with a lot of play you can work out some system to keep them all in useful places.

Grow by mitya1234 2015-12-15T11:38:00

I really like the idea, but I might be too stupid to play it... is the game generated so that it's always possible to grow? Sometimes I feel I don't get given enough moves, but perhaps I'm just failing and don't realize it.

Really nice mood to this one.

(PS: No idea why Furrnot can make his rude comment, he hasn't got an entry :/)

Turbo Tram Drift by Drury 2015-12-16T10:34:00

Damn that music is gorgeous! Great mood too.

This game is haaaard, the first few times I played I got wildly different experiences. Once I had no other trams for about 20 seconds and other times I had tons of trams and no turns. So nice job on the variety and generation :)

Soniverse by FindX 2015-12-15T18:10:00

Nice. Reminds me of Bit Trip Runner for some reason, although it's nothing like it :P Aaaanyway, really nice track, love how it builds up.

Only issue I had is that after you pick up a Green ball, you can't pick up another green ball until 'Track Unlocked' stops being displayed. I guess it's not a bug, since the music would advance too quickly, but it was a little annoying as I'd always get 2 balls in quick succession and wanted to grab 'em!

Let Me Explain by OwT 2015-12-16T12:28:00

I also tried clicking options for most of the game, which luckily enough was the right thing to do seemingly!

Great bleak mood and a very dismal story, which is great because that's what you were going for :)

Save The Humans! by James McVitty 2015-12-15T13:26:00

Grats on your first game! The flying is really fun and I like collecting things while dodging asteroids. The first time I played I think I finished the game in 30 seconds... the spawning of items is pretty random?

Hatchling by Farelle 2015-12-15T12:06:00

Like bobismijnnaam said, it's hard to tell what state the egg is in (except when it's dead). I played about 4-5 times and got him pretty big.. but then he died all the same :'(

Normal Factory by exhidor 2015-12-15T12:58:00

Nice idea. The switching of the colors and left and right is really confusing at times, but I suppose that's where the challenge comes from :)

Gravity Shifter by Soka 2015-12-16T09:58:00

Nice idea and I really wanted to play further, but I just found the gameplay way too frustrating.

The hitbox on the ball is a little larger than the model, which was a minor gripe, but overall the game made me rage because of the single direction of rotation. I know the puzzles were based around this, but they made me wanna punch a baby haha!

Belly Smash by Drunkain 2015-12-18T14:15:00

Dat polish. Amazing production quality fo sho! Gameplay is reasonably fun, not a huge amount to it but I still had a great time just being in the game and lapping up all the audio-visuals!

Two buttons to save the city ! by LavWa 2015-12-27T21:25:00

It's amazing how fun this can be, really great job identifying such a simple mechanic and then making a good game out of it. I really enjoyed myself with this, and was surprised how hard it became after I initially thought it was way too easy and would never be too hard.

I suppose once you leave 0 and 1, it becomes more than two button controls though ;)

Organ-izer by The Merge Conflicts 2015-12-18T14:25:00

Really fun cute little game, survived to 69 years old :)

You did a great job with the dropping and raising mechanic to allow some really slick maneuvers when you have multiple dudes who want to go up and down. Great design!

Frantic Farming by Fidrik 2015-12-16T09:34:00

Not my type of game but I can see the potential here. It would be great if there was some more feedback from your plants... I guess that's unrealistic but it would do wonders to help the player in-game :D

Thorn - The Dreamer by greenscreen 2015-12-18T10:54:00

Really liked the music and mood, very light-hearted and relaxing. Despite being quite slow for a 'runner' it was really tough due to the balance of cloud positioning and the turning speed.

2-Eyes-Only Bar by Grey_Kruzhok 2015-12-15T14:05:00

The colour switching is a nice touch, although sometimes I found the game sort of put me in an impossible situation. A 1-eye guy behind a 2-eye guy while you're on the other side of the screen is tough/impossible to deal with... Unless I am allowed to shoot two-eye guys... am I? I was avoiding them ;)

The Climbers by NirabazGAMES 2015-12-27T21:07:00

Nice little climber although I found the guys randomly being blown around (seemingly random at least) which tended to just help me stay alive forever!

I love the little quotes from the dudes as you're swinging, nice touch :)

Tiny Tyrant by tyrants.not.found.team 2015-12-15T13:02:00

I can't remember half the combinations, damn my addled brain! Love the humor and the whole theme of it. The initial statement is complete nonsense :D

Growing Beat by David Cookie 2015-12-15T17:56:00

I rocked it :P

Nice little song and game. 5 hours is impressive!

The Child Spirit by Oneiric Worlds 2015-12-16T14:09:00

Gorgeous art style, it's wonderful! I liked the jump and turn mechanics quite a lot, despite not being a big platform gamer. I couldn't find Moo in the end, but I collected like 20 animals. It was weird they were blocking the screen but hey, I don't understand the spirit world ;)

GURU by TomenLuca 2015-12-18T13:21:00

Wow, just brilliant stuff. Nails absolutely everything. Only criticism I have is that the actual gameplay itself doesn't seem that deep, and the communication of why and how followers join you is a little off. Really innovative concept though and the theme is excellent.

Great job!

Shaving Day : The Shave After Tomorrow by gloim 2015-12-28T16:29:00

Fun for a little while it seems like you can't lose :p I was shaving for a good 3 minutes and there wasn't much challenge.

Grats on your first entry though, everyone's first LD is a big achievement. Keep at it!

Build Town by TeamMJZ 2015-12-28T08:46:00

Like others have said, the farm pathfinding made them kind of useless to me so all I had to do was collect wood and build tons of houses :P

Nice work though, the music choice is great and it has a really nice relaxing mood to it that kept me playing for around 10 mins or so.

I'd remove the tutorial btw, as it doesn't teach much and is just a faster ending version of the main game (at least from what I could see). I had to kill the app to leave the tutorial and play the main game, so an ESC key would be cool :)

Dude On Fire by voca 2015-12-18T14:38:00

Cute as all hell but yeah, like others have said, it should really be in landscape. Extremely hard to play, I think my best score was 5 and I played for around 5 minutes xD

Herballistic by Neoludo 2015-12-15T12:11:00

Art is gorgeous, really like the minimal clean style in a post-apocalypse. Game felt a little easy/slow to start, Water and Love never really seemed to be in short supply the way I was playing.

Those trees btw, beautiful effect.

Kingdom By The Sea by Jesse Freeman 2015-12-16T14:31:00

Hey Jesse, we met at the Berlin Talk & Play and talked about Warrior of Dragons quite a bit. You sure do like the deadly RNG don't ya? :P

First game I got two plagues in 4 turns and died after getting my first farm. In my second game I spawned with only a forest next to me, but thankfully no plagues, so I survived the 4-5 turns it takes to develop my only piece of land into a farm. I languish with one villager for a few more turns, get my second farm, then I get a plague twice in a row and it's GG.

ARGGGH!
