Thanks to everyone for all the comments and taking the time to play the game. All your suggestions are greatly appreciated and I agree with them all, a lot of them were always intended to go into the game but time got the better of me and I didn't have time to code them.
Really enjoyed the game, one of the favourite ones I've played so far.
Found a bug on level 4 (I think). I had pit first, t-rex left path, mammoth right path, then winter, then temple, then apple. The men went the right path, through winter and had two men left then the masked man held open the temple gate for the other man and the game just remained with him holding open the gate and not dying or going through. Other than that, top marks.
Enjoyed it and I'm glad I'm not in the bomb disposal business because I couldn't handle that sort of pressure.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I never experienced any sound issues in dev (apart from the annoyance of the swim sound) so not sure what is causing that or what it is which sucks.

Spore was definitely the inspiration for this game and I hadn't heard of flow or agar.io but I checked out agar.io and was impressed.

Cool game but needed some kind of health bar to show how poorly I was doing.
Nice game, made it to level 6 before I accidentally resized the window and my character kept running left. Took me a little time to realise you need to make sure you point your sword towards the enemy and not just blindly click.
If you keep developing it I would add a double jump in there to help reach some higher platforms but I didn't have any massive difficulties with those, just a couple of frustrating falls.

Good game, I found I had loads of pollen and not enough seeds though, not sure if I did something wrong or there was some way of making sure you got seeds.

Didn't read the instructions so for ages didn't realise I could click plants for week :) Had to look at the source code before I realised. Cool addictive game.
For those struggling to get past the first jump you can double jump, however if you are holding a direction key then it doesn't work so double jump then move right.
Good effort Boonearth, my second attempt at a game didn't get this far so keep it up.

Enjoyed playing this but it was very difficult. The drop with spike on each side took a fair few tries. There is a small bug where your bean count doesn't reset if you press a key other than escape to restart. Didn't really affect the game as I still lost even with all the extra bean power.

Nice graphics and music. The snake animation and the death animation was cool. Wasn't entirely sure what I should be doing as I couldn't seem to interact with anything other than the chests.

You are obviously part of American propaganda as I kept dying and the missiles of the glorious leader can not be stopped! All joking aside a nice effort with a good style and the music was good too. Couple of the flags spawned where they couldn't be reached but other than that spot on.
@pauljs Thanks for the comment. Completely agree with needing better graphics and music, something all my LD entries suffer from that I should really focus on next time.

Do you mean slow down to a crawl gameplay wise or speed? If the latter I think that must be a performance issue I haven't spotted. If you mean gameplay wise then I think the main fix is to upgrade your move speed to max and focus on tier 3 spawners for the gemhearts.
@geeitsomelaldy Yeah I think I hinted at the move speed issue in the instructions because I had the same issue but found that without that speed the end game was a bit too slow as things were more spread out. Thanks for playing and commenting.

Nice game, I couldn't quite figure out the strategy but I think I was being too nice.
Got over 100 floors before my fingers had had enough :) Cool music but wasn't sure if there was a win/lose condition. Also adding a keyboard shortcut for upgrades would help as I was using both hands to mash the space bar so had to slow down to upgrade.

Enjoyed this game, played it for a lot longer than I intended. I did notice a few things that could be tweaked: The watering indicator is too subtle, it needs to be explicitly mentioned in the guide or made more obvious. Also sometimes it appears you are watering due to the indicator beating faster but it just keeps going. Not sur eif I'm impatient or it's slightly off. It'd also be good to add to the controls screen that you need to throw the food off the edge. I really liked the effect when chaos meter filled.
Great game, found it difficult on level 3 and took about 6 attempts but cracked it and carried on.

Cool game, really satisfying to be on the defensive and then line it up and plough through a big pile of the enemy (ping ping ping ping). Got a high score of 54 after a small plateau at high 20s. Seems like it would be difficult to get too much further as the screen was getting full.
Nice, enjoyed the game but for some reason the level kept resetting on the first aid one. It may hav ebeen me doing something wrong but there was no indication of why. Also input occasionally didn't work at start of a level and I needed to reset it before it started working again.
Great game, really enjoyed it. It started to get a little difficult to figure out the recipes once you got more ingredients though.

Really great game, I got a bit stuck for a bit thinking I had to beat Surfree :) Ended up getting a high score of over 4000. Finally got to see some boobies though which was nice.
The graphics were impressive. Got slightly confused about what ingredients added what, particularly trhe blue mushrooms as I didn't expect them to add green. Once I figured it out I managed to make a nice dish.

We struggled with it and decided that we'd rather produce a game that we'd like to play outside of a jam rather than a game that would do well in a jam. However, I have added a beginner mode that greatly reduces the scope and adds some info boxes to aid the player. Not perfect but I didn't want to deviate too far from original vision so it wasn't unfair with regards to judging.

Nice effort, I managed to get to 290 before a tiny one sped past my fat fingers
It seemed really easy with the keyboard and I didn't really get a sense of progress as it felt I was doing the same thing at the same rate regardless of the number of birds. I'd have liked the addition of birds to have a greater effect on the bar so I'd have to correct for it with bird placement having a noticeable effect on the tilt.
Nice game. Only complaint I had was I'd often try and drag the next component but it wouldn't let me until the animation had finished. Made it feel slightly clunky. Otherwise good effort.

Cool game, got to 18.5 after killing a lot of llamas. It would have been cool to have a button to zoom out and see the entire tower but I enjoyed it.
Really hard game, took me about 20 tries and reading some of the comments before I got to grips with the mechanics. I think some UI so you knew how well you were doing would be a useful addition but a fun game after learning it.

Nice game I enjoyed it and managed to beat it. I agree with a previous commenter that screen shake could have enhanced the unstable feeling. A couple of minor issues that could be improved, the red platforms could have been differentiated between those that would disappear when stepped on along with the ones trhat can't be jumped through. THe jumping height was a bit unpredictable on the moving vertical platform which contributed to me struggling to get through the spike gap but it wasn't too bad. Overall I had fun playing it and appreciated the effort to make a polished feature complete game.

Can't get the web version to load. I had the same issue, you probably need to disable compression in your Player Setting within the Build menu. The option is under publishing settings.

Wow, there have been some great games already this year and this is no exception. It combines two games I love, Vampire Survivors and Rogue Legacy. It has that "One More Turn" appeal, I must have thought, I'll finish this run then rate the game only to click on a new heir and boom back into the loop.

Great game, loved so much about it. The music was awesome, the little air bubbles when you broke something underwater were cool and from my playthrough it seemed well balanced. On normal difficulty, I got to the lsat person just as water was starting to threaten them.

Nice game, best I could get was "Good at Math". Only critique was the stick didn't seem to respond how I'd expect, seemed to have too much inertia keeping it moving the same direction regardless of hand position.

Really cool game, it's so tactical but easy to understand what is happening. The indicator for which zombie is attacking is really good and shows the mechanic well as I initially thought they'd attack the turn they moved next to you (which doesn't make sense now I think about it).
Really cool game, it was really addictive I kept wanting to take another turn. May have been good to get a bit more control on the way down so you could glide and collect coins but not 100% sure as it may effect the simple loop. Great job.
@nathan-wiles Yeah it is a bit slow at the start but it speeds up once you destroy a few large asteroids to get upgrades. I tried to balance it out so at the start you couldn't stop all the asteroids but by the end you felt like you were delaying the super asteroid. May need more tweaking to find the sweet spot however. Thanks for your feedback.
@byazzle Yeah, that was a last minute hack because I'd forgotten that Application.Quit() doesn't work on WebGL builds. I need to fix that when I can bare to look at Unity again. Thanks for the feedback.

@kleszcz Thanks, the Earth's HP is the status bar at the bottom and tracked by how many people are safe. I did have sfx for the firing but it got annoying really quickly.

Nice, really liked how you did the lava flow. The effect when it hits a wall and gets pushed over by the rest of the lava is really satisfying to watch even when it's about to hit your castle. Good job.
Nice, for info I pasted the delay.js file into the chrome developer console and it worked for me. I could delay the times. Can you make a new one for delaying my child waking up in the morning after a ludum dare?
Not sure if it's just me but I can't get any input registered on the menu so can't start the game.
@vectrex28 Yeah I was, I tried Enter but it didn't work. I just downloaded it and gave it a go in the emulator. I know the NES wasn't famous for holding your hand but it would have been nice to have a nice easy starter level as it was a bit tricky to get used to the keys with the pressure of the wall. Great game though.

Nice game, great visuals, couldn't quite figure out how to start fishing but when I did the stardew valley fishing mechanic was implemented well.
Minor issue on web build in that I needed to press escape to change the sensitivity as it was way to high but that took me out of full screen. Because it captured the mouse I couldn't go back into full screen without breaking the focus using the windows key. Maybe a button on the menu to close menu screen would be good.

Nice work, I must admit the first time through I forgot what key it was to shoot so played the entire game dunking. I played again and paid more attention to the rules and it was almost a completely different game. Timing your catches, layups, hitting the angles to get more than one basket was so much fun. Nice game, I didn't realise what to do first time round and I think I got in a spot where I couldn't catch the rabbit. Second time through I caught it twice and then blocks kept getting added and FUUUUUUUUN was on the bottom but it didn't appear to be doing anything.
Cool game, really enjoyed it. Did encounter an issue (on WebGL version) where it froze after 2 bombs exploded in quick succession. Not sure if related to that however.
It gave me vibes of some of the tetris variants I've seen on YouTube such as soft body tetris and aerodynamic tetris. Great job.

Really liked how you did the lava but I'm not sure I understood the game. The defenses I was building didn't seem to do much, or at least it wasn't as visible as it could be. Also had about 50 of them by the end of the first level but not space to put them as I'd been overrun.
Great idea and the fact the red balls move based on your previous run and are set up so they'll definitely hit you really ties the game to the theme. Movement and jumping was super slick too which gave the game a really polished feel.
This looks good and I like the artwork but I really can't figure out how to play. It took me a while to find the income screen but I'm not sure what to do. Tried a number of times but keep getting it wrong.

Nice game, I like the art style but wasn't sure what the DS things were for. Quite satisfying when you had the bat as that was so much nicer than the knife.
