The audio seems to come only out of my left headphone, besides the game over screen :(

I like that the downward slope makes you slide instead of walk. Good work for your first LD.
Congrats to finishing your first jam! :) The gameplay is basic but effective - There might however be a system that checks if there is still a path that can be taken? On my first two rounds the way was blocked by fire without any chance to get through :(
I can see where you are going, but the fire generation was a bit too random for me. It just suddenly appeared where you where moving to without warning, and also would often block a path forcing you to take damage
Great first attempt at a jam game and I loved the death effect. Keep it up and I look forward to playing one of your games in a future jam.
Funny game! Liked that there was music. For me it was a bit too hard, so I didn't play it for too long.
Thank you, I just spent like half an hour playing it over and over again. I love the fire theme, feels like home because we had a similar idea. So theres a warning for everyone who wants to play your game: once you started you wont be able to stop that easily. I didn't get past room 7 and I have to ask: is there an ending?
@awesomealliterationalliance to be honest, I also thought of adding an ending but I didn't have too much time left so I just made it like a high score thing :D
I enjoyed this game. I didn't do very well though! I liked the particle effect death. Great LD entry :raised_hands:
Nice game! The randomess was a bit too random with the fire though, with a few impossible scenarios. The sliding levels were a really nice touch. For a first jam this is super impressive. Well done!
Quite fun and simple gameplay but the controls are sometimes not responsive especially the jump I died a lot because the player does not jump even after pressing the up arrow key.
Fun game idea! Totally had some "thanks game!" moments when the fire spawned right to my feet! :D The death animation was a nice touch! Good job!
Thank you all for playing! I agree, the fire is too random lol. The controls being unresponsive is also due to my inexperience in Game Dev (I just can't figure it out!)
