Wow I really like the look of this game. It really reminds me of Adventure on the Atari 2600. Twinstick style gameplay is always fun in my book and your controlls feel good not slippy or anything like that. I really like that the audio changes when your shot gets upgraded because in the mix of all those particals it can be difficult to identify when your health is low enough.

i struggled a bit at the beginning with the interface and the concept because I don't really understand why you can move the health and damage bar, but the gameplay is nice and smooth. Clean graphics and audio too.
Overall fun functional and good use of theme...
So right off the break i disregard any on screen text and i start wandering around, find a green key, these little guys start attacking me i shoot back and my weapons are shit.... im dodging and weaving thinking cmon die already, then i take some shots, all of the sudden i am god in this world, my once wee little bullets are now massive rockets and it seems i am a force to be reckoned with... after killing all the initial guys I realized health and weapon power are inversely proportional.... sacrificing health for weapon power, i like it..
moving on through the green door, i have yet to make it passed this room. I found the aiming a bit difficult to get a hang of as I was trying to peak corners, I have a tendency to like to go fast, anyhow, i couldnt get passed the south west facing diagonal... I think if i had a controller in hand, and it had twin stick shooter controls I would have had an easier time.
The sound effects reflecting weapon power were great... they let me know instantly when I had a more powerfull weapon, there was no question as to what caliber my bullets were at any given moment. if an enemy was too close for me to catch a glimpse of the bullet type/size before impact, the sounds let me know what I had shot... And since I tend to hold down fire, it also gave me a bit of an auditory clue as to where my health was at as well..
@tornoz when i saw your comment I was confused, went back and tried to mess with the health and power bars... it would appear in a true LD hack fashion those are sliders and their values are only set when they change.... so even though you can move them around, it does not effect the actual in game values..

@aCuriosity haha ok, I was confused because I thought this was how you'd lower your health to gain attack power but they would revert back when the values changes for real

@tornoz @acuriosity Those are indeed ui sliders, and I apparently forgot to turn off the interactable bit. Thanks for the catch on that. I'll fix it.

Definitely had fun but man I suck at this game. Got to the blue key after a few tries but died immediately thereafter. Afraid that's the extent of my progress. Love the audio, all the little plops of my bullets, the satisfying rockets. Good stuff.

Really fun to play, though I never got to the final boss.
I liked the concept of this game! The visuals and audio are consistent and I have to point out that the changing gun sounds here are really good! It plays really well too! The only problem here is the fact that the game lacks checkpoints which makes it pretty hard to beat and makes the pace very slow.

Audio is awesome. All the squishy sounds, music (that little melody when it enters, snare) were really well thought. Graphichs and gameply is also really nice. I died a lot and kinda gave up because we have to start all over every time. Save spots would have been nice since the game gets hard and replaying first stages isn't very interesting. Also the sound crashed on restart (I had to reload the page). Overall a great game :)

So fun to play! The audio was great and made it very satisfying to play. The bullets were so fun to play with especially when you had the triple shot. The way they just powered there way through the crowd was great. Well done!

Very neat use of theme. I got a strong Atari Adventure/Berzerk vibe. The explosions, music, visual design, and sounds were very cool. I found it a bit hard when I got to the narrow tunnel with the red guys - very hard to lure them out, and I had to stay so close to dead to hurt them, I died a lot. Seemed like maybe it ramped up a bit too fast there all at once, at least for me. Nice job, and good luck.
It was weird to play. But it was fun. Nice effort. Yeh

Cool game and great implementation of the theme. Struggled to see the bullets in the first couple of rooms due to the similarity of the background colour but other than that it was good fun.

Really nice splash effect and music. I also love the simple color palette.
Realy nice looking game, the particles polish the gameplay like a charm, the music works pretty well, maybe its a bit hard for some parts but nothing impossible to me. Nice job! Thanks for this game.
I really like the sound effects. The game implementation and mechanics was nice too. It was really quite evil with a full reset on death. Especially in conjunction with where you had to get deep into enemy territory against enemies you haven't met before and they all activated on getting the key. I saw that you were fixing checkpoints, but I would also suggest letting the player meet the each new enemy type in a relatively safe environment first time so you get a chance to figure out how it works and only after that put the player in some real danger. In general it could probably do with being a bit easier level design giving the player a bit more space in some narrow corridors and also making sure that there's like 1-3 seconds upon entering a new room when the enemies never react to the player.
Cool concept to deal more damage. The art style is retro 80s cool and worked very well. great music and sound effects
Very nice game. I like the concept of weapons getting stronger as you lose life. The squishy sound effects were really well done as well as the particle systems. The first time I played, the music wouldn't play. I couldn't make it past the room with the enemies that reflect your small shots. There just didn't seem to be enough room to move around, and you have to keep your health relatively low to do any damage.

Graphics and audio are very nice, remind me a lot of 80's games mood, i found the game a little too hard though.
I didn't get how it fits with the theme ... but i enjoyed it.
Good job !
