Nice game!
Maybe some introductions or help at the game start and a end at the last level can polish the game in the good way, but anyway its a jam and I can understand that you didnt had the time for this.
I realy enjoyed the concept and the graphics works perfectly!
Thanks for the game ;)
I realy enjoyed it, It looks like a mix between "the fly game" and Pikmin.
It's sad that there is a lot of conflicts in the mechanics which often break what we are planning to do but if you fix it, it will be a true amazing game. (I understand that this type of game is realy hard to do as solid as a realy finished game in a ludum).
Awesome graphics and music by the way, 5/5 for those without any hesitation!
Nice job guys!
Nice looking game, I guess it need a more immersive introduction to the world like a main menu or a cimetic, because the concept just works and dont need to be polished by this side. I found it a bit hard to understand a strategy to catch those rabbits beside the objective so I had to make a lot of long journeys for one rabbit which without music can be annoying for the player.
I think if you add a background music, an introduction and something to do during those rabbit phases where you just run on them (maybe just a dash, I dont know), it's a perfect game for me.
Nice job, a pretty cool game here.
I enjoyed this game, maybe more hints on how addons works in game can help the player during the game? Because it just works but it need more explanations for a better start I think! :)
Nice job, a lot of work here!
Nice graphics and gameplay, realy enjoyed it. The slimy faces are awesome ahah. Good job!
I realy like the 3D low res art! Maybe with keyboard you have to be to precise for planting actions but it works anyway. Nice props features in the house. Thanks for the experience!
Realy nice theme usage, funny sound for sure ahah.
Interesting gameplay mechanics, maybe the controls doesnt fit them at their maximum potential? I think a RTS style control may be better if you still count the flak at one unit obviously.
Nice job dude! I realy enjoyed it.
Realy nice graphics, I like the way you did it for a jam, not costing to much but works enough to make this game beautiful. I realy like how the sacrifice mechanics works in this style of game. It reminds me "muramasa : the demon blade" which is a game where you have a lot of blades but you cant carry all of them in a fight.
Nice job guys!
I realy like the introduction idea where you turn around the tower and show messages for properly starting the game. The concept is nice but maybe more feedbacks when you do an action can make the game more enjoyable. Nice job!
I realy like how the sacrifices are looking, I think I will try in the future this view system where you see the player moves in an option menu: "jump is this key, pressing space: a player jump in a window". Nice game, nice job!
Nice robocraft like game, I see the hard work behind this, nice job guys!
Nice game, I like the graphics and how you revisited the snake concept, it works pretty well in this way. I want to hear some 8-bit music on that game :)
Nice job!
Amazing game, the graphics and the sound are gorgeous, nice introduction, it makes the game pretty immersive and finally the controls works as they have to when we are talking about a spaceship game.
Nice job guys!
I enjoyed the game, The music works pretty well with those graphics, the gameplay is funny to play. Maybe some variations in the future? Nice job!
Nice game, it make me think to the ascii art game "candy box". Maybe the end (farming 10+ banks when you have the necessary income) is a bit to long. The art style is gorgeous :)
Thanks for the experience!
Nice game here, I like the rts tutorial concept (I give you this troup, go here).
I had some troubles on the selection because you pass maybe to easily from the single selection mode to the window selection mode, a limit between those can be a good idea (dont print the window before it get a minimum size maybe?).
When you select something the previous selection count to, which is a bit annoying without pressing any additional key like shift.
The sound design works pretty well and give to the player the necessary feedbacks and the graphics works. Maybe more challenges can be a good idea, like triggering the wolf barking on a key with a cooldown or something?
Nice job guys, realy enjoyed this rts like game.
Realy nice experience. The music in background looks like a "this war of mine" one, it works pretty well. Nice job!
Realy nice low poly style, it works pretty well!
Hi there! I realy like the art style: Trees with this white fade out on the floor and on the edges works pretty well, the blur on running animations is cool, maybe the head of the wolf when its running is to abstract but it works anyway. The music nicely highlight the graphics. The puppies are so cute ahah. As you said, this game is not perfect but I'l take it as it is and I liked what I saw. Nice job!
I think the main idea is cool!
Some easy tips that can help the game (It's obviously not sure):
If you set the walkspeed to a higher level and give the ability of the player to get a pile of projectiles, it can be funniest to play.
Also having waves of ennemies to kill can be something not that hard to implement and can complexify the gameplay.
I also had some troubles to find the canon, maybe having more lighting inside the tower can fix this problem? Or just javing multiple canons outside (monster hunter like) and a massive canon on the tower (not inside) which has something greater than lambda canons?
At least, it was funny to run around and finally understand what are the projectiles.
Thanks for the experience!
Maybe the music is to repetitive and you have sometimes the "resident evil" camera problem which is that you think going in a direction by pressing a key but you're not. In the other way, the graphisms are gorgeous + the theme and the gameplay are working nicely. Good job guys, i see all the work in graphisms and programmation and that's huge.
I realy like those games based on keyboard, the more you play, faster you are and the more you enjoy playing. The music works pretty well, this made the game not frustrating.
Some hints, things to improve if you want to continue this one (Maybe those are problems for me and not for the other players):
The difference between the N and the H is not clear and its a bit to long to understand that when you did a draw combo that can fill the main bar, all the words can now fill the bar (I did many time at the start a word combo and a switch to EAT or SLEEP after this instead of continue typing words in the DRAW category).
That's all, nice job and thanks for making this game! :)
Depending of the theme, this game was amazing.
Maybe 1 thing, the "validation" sound is probably a bit to high, but at least the music is great and immersive and about the emotion, you realy feel the sacrifices that you have to do to reach the next level (maybe the next city to save?). Not hard to take in hands, not hard to end, nice design.
Thanks for the experience.
Realy nice game, here are some things that I noticed:
Its a bit annoying that space bar do another action than the classic one, we have this "zelda botw" strange effect where we want to jump and an another character is selected. (in botw you throw a lot of time your weapon for nothing because the controls works in a weird way).
Maybe the "restart game" button just beside the "restart level" one can be frustrating if you miss-press the key (on trackmania its the delete key to restart the game for example).
The characters lines works pretty well and makes the game very immersive, the graphics are awesome, maybe the return of the jumps are a bit to high but you can restart the level easily and you dont have to wait to long before the moment where you failed so its ok, and I understand that this type of jumps can be done this way because of the game design (mechanics based on jumps).
The gamedesign is realy polished and I realy appreciate how you took the theme, its original compared of many of the other games, this take the player by its feels when you just understand "oh, why I did so easily all those sacrifices when it was possible without".
Awesome job guys!
Pretty nice game, I like the paper design, maybe some times I have the feel that I won but not in the way that I was supposed to do? Realy intesting game mechanics, probably one of the best that I tried during this ludum.
Great job!
The concept to do a game in 2 phases is cool. Maybe, the camera during shooting phase can be improve to get a better filling but anyway, its a jam :) Nice job!
It works prety well, I realy enjoyed playing this game until the end.
I like how you see your player moving on the map along the path like a common map cinematic. Maybe its to easy but I can understand that its not that easy for every player so its ok for me. The graphics and the sound works together like a charm but maybe the font that you used is a bit difficult to read in a full screen mode? Thanks for the tutorial by the way, it realy help.
Nice job guys!
I realy like the art design and the feeling when you do the actions (drag and drop + sound + graphisms) works pretty well. The game design looks enough balanced when you go deeper inside mechanics.
Nice job!
Nice game, the graphics are awesome, the music works, maybe we miss some feedback like previously said when we are taking damage, the aim with the mouse is sometime lock in a direction which can be frustrating. I probably want more massive destruction weapons with of course more ennemies to fit them ahah. I can feel the hard work behind this. Thanks for this and nice job guys!
Nice graphisms, the animation do the job and the choice of colours is elegant. I had some trouble to know when I had reach the full potential of this game, but it was relaxing and interesting to play.
Thanks for the experience.
Interesting game, It was hard to understand that you have to click on buttons and when you understood it, it was simply to hard to click on them, maybe something easier like letters on them to press can be a solution? To finish, the graphics are polished and it works pretty well with this "hunger game" style narration. :)
I enjoyed the game, maybe disabling pawn collisions when picking up sacrifices will help a lot for camera bugs. Nice job dude!
Graphics are amazing and the gameplay works pretty well. Maybe the swing with the sword is a bit to slow, I know that it's intentional but I think less delay can give to the game more nervousness. The audio is pretty good! its funny to see how stupid can we are when you have to trade an armor or a dog, and you chose to leave the armor ahah. Nice job!
The graphics are gorgeous and the gameplay works pretty well. Maybe a tutorial will give more hints to the player for a better start? Nice job!
Nice game.
I like this type of old school games with loading spell bars on top of the player head and a large dungeon scroller.
Nice job!
I chosed luxury, I'm a monster :'(
Realy cool gameplay mechanics, it's original and I liked it.
I like the artstyle and the RTS controls works pretty well with this AI system which target the nearest ennemy. Maybe a single selection when you just click without draging anything will make the game better but I know, it was a jam and it works actually without that so it's fine anyway. Nice job dude! I realy enjoyed it :)
This game works pretty well but the difficulty curve without tutorial is maybe a bit to hard? Also the controls (ASDW) which are depending of the player orientation are hard to take for me (but its probably me, to dumb to understand those controls as they are ahah). Nice job guys and thanks for this game!
I realy like the art style animated on 2 frames. I ended it in 682 secs, but hell, my last item was boots and it was hard to find the last path ahah! Nice job, thanks for the experience.
Very nice polished game, thanks for the tutorial, you took the time to make one and it realy help. The graphics works pretty well, the music is not frustrating and the gameplay works like a charm. Nice job!
The idea of typing commands is not something new, but its all time a pleasure to see how games can be designed with that, the command menu is also one of the coolest ones with this concept. Wasnt able to end the game, its a bit hard. A tutorial will just make it easier to understand i guess? (or maybe i'm just to bad ahah). Thanks for the experience.
Wow, amazing job guys, my tears were rising on the mom part, I have no words, It realy highlight how our student condition can be hard sometimes like when your work and your life are too heavy to carry. You all time have choices to do and you only understand at the end of your studies that you did those choices, because you thought they werent choices. Thanks for making this game, I will call my mom now ahah!
Nice game, it will be great to have a sprint which can decrease depending of your percentage of blood to allow a better backtracking. Maybe the depth of field is a bit to strong? The graphics works pretty well and I feel the quantity of work behind this (in programmation and graphics direction). Nice job!
Thanks everyone, this game is based on a stanley parable GDC conference, I know that I'm not one of the stanley parable creators and this type of humor cant work on every human on earth but if it can make a bit lighter a hard day for a few people, I'm happy that it worked in this way. Thanks again for your feedbacks. (And sorry for my english which is as bad as my jokes ahah).
@hugo-kieffer yes it's exactly this part of the conference which was my main inspiration and more generally the conference by itself (plus some parts of antichamber). I tried to mixup this humour in a more general context with a theme which can lead the game direction.
I know that the time of the experience doesnt fit every people (especially meta game experienced peoples) but I tried something which works, maybe in a reduced time, but which can works without any "boring corridors".
It was my first jam only by myself (I did it like a compo in 48h) so I had to think about "how I'm gonna make my post process materials to work without hd models" and some things like that which cost me a lot of time to.
I think I will try for my next solo jams some more complex mechanics like portals and maybe some voices for having a more "antichamber style" in mechanics and a more "stanley style" in the narrative scenario.
Thanks for your feedback !
I like wizard games, I think it can be a good idea to continue this one. The voice acting was good, maybe the time needed for spell cast is not clear. I think for most of the problems, you already know that it need more time on to fix it and you probably have the hints to do that. Keep going like that guys! It was fun to play.
The main idea works well.
I think that you can die a bit to fast but at least it's funny to play!
Thanks for the experience.
This game is hard to take in hands, it makes me think to "human fall flat" in the controls and the gameplay but the player rotation is still to slow i guess? The graphics and the sound works pretty well and the fact that you can throw everything is realy funny depending of what you have with you :) . Nice job!
Hi there! I'm a bit sad to not hear any music which can highlight those gorgeous graphics. The gameplay works, maybe the key mapping is not the best one? CTRL + SHIFT doesnt work very nice. I was jumping again and again at the start because the jump animation is so cool :). Nice job!
Making a game with different phases in a jam is hard but you realized it with success! The graphics with the music work very well. :) Good job!
