LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Synapse by Geckoo1337 2017-12-14T16:22:39Z

I love minimalistic puzzle games and when I saw your cover I though I would enjoy it. And you didn't disappoint ! Overall a relaxing and quick experience that would benefit from a fine tuning of your controls.

The Curse of Power by sbeif 2017-12-06T10:17:42Z

You can hit all the ennemies at once if they are superimposed which makes the game pretty easy. It was a good idea to include multiple endings to counteract that and add replay value. Art is effective but not very appealing.

Phobos by Yokimbo 2017-12-06T09:28:57Z

Love the art style and the color palette you chose.

Need more coffee by StateOff 2017-12-06T10:06:16Z

After a few tries I managed to beat it but, yeah the difficulty curve is pretty steep. Love the art, sound and the concept was pretty fun.

Human Rises by Tinis Games 2017-12-14T16:17:00Z

Your game is very hard to get into : we have to read a wall of text right at the start, it would be more efficient to introduce the player gradually to all of your game mechanics. There are also some UI issues that other players already mentioned, which is problematic in a game that is only played trough its UI. Overall, i think that with a bit of fine tuning, your game could become enjoyable and its a shame that the game jam format didn't give you enough time for that.

LootOnline by totsboy 2017-12-06T09:54:33Z

Fun experience, I found it really funny that the items you get from loot boxes drop on the ground and just stay there useless.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Within by jhell 2018-12-04T12:49:50Z

It took me some time understand the mechanics. Maybe the player's health could be a bar that very obviously depletes itself, instead of being numbers stuck in a far corner of the screen. That way, the player would immediatly see when he is doing something wrong. Otherwise, the mechanic in itself is interesting, and well implemented in the level design and the notes set a nice and foreboding mood. Well done!

Duplicube by joewan 2018-12-04T15:23:24Z

The idea to use death or corpses to create platforms is not new, but I found the way you use it very fresh. I was pleasantly surprised ^^ I also liked the minimalistic esthetic. The only problem I found was the difficulty: the level design in itself is fine, but if you make just one mistake (like creating a platform in the wrong place) you have to do the level all over again. To alleviate that, you could have created shorter levels, or a mean to undo previous actions.

ISHI - Eternal Companion by Maruki 2018-12-04T13:15:38Z

I liked the chill mood you created at first with the color palette and the music, and that it slowly becomes unnerving as the story goes on... I just didn't understand how the endings work: I had 9 "mind" and 1 "body", and I still got the body ending.

Diaball by Antti Haavikko 2018-12-04T21:12:10Z

Wow, this is very polished and juicy! It's impressive for a game made in such a short time. Also, well done with the tutorial in the title screen. It's a very elegant and efficient way to introduce the mechanics of the game. The art is nice too, it reminds me of World of Goo.

Eternal Home Floristry by Deconstructeam 2018-12-04T20:57:46Z

Great story and interesting themes. But that's to be expected from a Deconstructeam game! I love the unique spin you put in a classic dystopian setting, making a whole new experience.

Consilium - A history of life and choices by Gaming Night 2018-12-05T20:56:56Z

Playing your game was a peacefull and relaxing experience, making it a very original way to interpret a theme like "sacrifices must be made". The artstyle is very nice, the color palette and the sounds soothing. The only complaint I have is that the player doesn't make any real choice. Unless I missed something, you always have to use water, then wind and sun. And there is no clear benefit for the player to leave some territories undevelopped.

SQUARES by BrownRiceStudio 2018-12-05T20:33:59Z

The gameplay concept is very good and is helped by the fact that you have to make split second decisions in the heat of the moment. However, once you know by heart every gun, you know wich one to get and won't sacrifice any more points that way. Otherwise, I liked that you took the time to give some polish with the screenshake.

Accept this Offering by xPheRe 2018-12-04T21:21:35Z

I really liked how you linked each puzzle with a situation in real life. A really nice touch that really makes us want to play to the end.

smite by zanders3 2018-12-05T20:09:32Z

It was pretty confusing, I didn't understand how to play. I think each character has a different purpose, and that you have to keep a certain balance so that nothing blows up? Other than that, I think the sprites are pretty cute :)

Esus by Ced 2018-12-05T20:16:24Z

Wow, the art is really gorgeous... Your game lacks polish, true, but your universe really has potential to be explored in a full game. Impressive for a first game!
