I think this is my favorite entry so far. I mean: every time you die you come back with a different head, which is a vegetable, the character dies in a very cute way, the song is cute, there's a butterfly (which, as you would expect, I could not sacrifice)... I could go on. This game has a very specific type of humor that I enjoy. Great job!
I really liked the art, the characters, the smooth UI was spot on! A very simple experience, but very effective in conveying the theme.
Fun game, perfect execution of the theme, cool audio, graphics were spot on (they kinda made me feel sorry for the cute slimes).

@snugglehero @eddie-li @aetylus @kaish Thank you all for your comments. This is the very second game I made by myself (I'm just an artist, not a programmer), and I'm mostly making these because I want to practice my writing and practice putting my writing out for people to read and enjoy.
@pennycook The sacrifice comes in two ways: first, the way we sacrifice our existence and essence to live the way we do - following already made-up patterns and beaten paths - and how this makes us feel; and second, in the way that the rock absorbs the main character's essence in order to change and ease the main character's suffering (observable from the middle of the game).

Cool game, it feels pretty dark, which I consider commendable for the theme. The game would benefit from a small UX addition: besides having "hungry days" and "rabbits" on the HUD, there could be another line showing "rabbits caught", so the player is sure that he has a rabbit caught (there are no other indications of that in-game). Good job!
Albeit simple, this game made me pose a moral question: who should I actually save? The controls were a bit buggy. Good entry, nonetheless.

So this is an actual game that is played by manipulating the files in the folder! It's an unseen level of meta for me. Totally creative! Loved it!
That's quite an almost perfect execution of the theme! Pixel art was on point (the light reflections on the walls were really well done, imo). I just felt that the sound made the game's mood a bit more sinister than it should - maybe. Great entry anyways!
Such a dark tale in an unforgiving world/setting. I feel so sorry for all the characters! Maybe a few passages could use more work concerning continuity (such as fixing parts where character that's already dead is being called by the others). I wish there was more variety in music, but it's understandable given the short amount of time,

This is the kind of game I love seeing in jams: simple, sassy, light and fun! I managed to get a good ending and was really happy with it!

Whoa there's so many thorough comments here about this game so I'll be quick: great execution of the theme, great choice of song, the controls were fast enough. I just wish there was an animation for when the character was hit.
I really liked it! The concept was well implemented with a very different set up. I liked that the scenery changes as you replay and the fact that there are upgrades to buy is a plus.
