Great stuff. Fun gimmicky thing but with a perfectly sparsely included gameplay mechanic making it just as engaging as it needs to be.

The game feel and audio on this game was very excellent and really enticed me to keep playing. I wanted to unlock all the options but to had to keep feeding the beast which kind of took away of the fun in my opinion. definitely one of the better entries I've played!
I really liked how this was written, and while I don't really think I entirely got it I really did enjoy it. The art is really good too! My only gripe is some lacking spaces in the text. Great entry!
Thanks everyone for checking out my game and the nice comments! I've uploaded a small Post-Jam update that adds a **desktop version** as well as fixes the music looping. You can download the desktop version on itch!
Thanks to @spierek for the suggestion. :)
@pablodap thanks for the feedback! It's still a hardware limitation, the way the keys of your keyboard are wired makes it so sometimes you can press 5 keys but sometimes not, depending on the combination.
@spierek Thanks for checking it out! One alternate gamemode to play with friends is to take turns putting down a finger, like the real twister game!
The idea isn't that bad at all, but I feel there's a lot that could've been better. An indication of where I was cutting would be a start. There's a lot of bugs as well, such as the ice block stopping on some slopes. All in all it wasn't a very fun experience, but it's clear that some effort was put into this and I applaud you for it! The logo and graphics are also very nice looking!
PS: I recommend opting out of the Audio category as you're game didn't have audio and it'll only drag your score down!
Amazing game, and really funny too! It would be cool if you expanded it to do more things, like combine more options etc. Really great entry though!
This game is so pure and the mechanic is really neat. It's not executed super well, though, which is a shame. Sacrificing moves often makes the levels impossible unless you sacrifice your attack. Maybe have more things to sacrifice or change up the level design to accommodate losing abilities? The background blends a bit too much with the character making him very hard to see. The animations were done very nice and I really liked the devil's design!
Fantastic entry! I really liked figuring out the way the system worked so I could beat it. And from what I understand you're masking it very well with the dialogue that it makes for a very compelling game! Graphics are beautiful, by the way. Stellar work!
My only gripe, and this is a small one, is that there were a few bugs where it said "*{own location}*" instead of a location.
The premise is incredibly funny and a good take on the theme and the audio was decent as well. My only complaint is that when a guy is strapped on top of a turn it was nearly impossible to see what direction that is. The levels got too complicated too quickly as well. A better indication of which tracks could be switched would have been great too.
Certainly not a bad entry!
You're link doesn't work! You need to input this link instead: https://simplegames-1.itch.io/tiny-square
For some reason there were two black squares on the screen which made the game impossible to navigate. The graphics were cute, though!
This is easily my favourite entry so far! The presentation was nothing short of fantastic and the dialogue was genuinely funny and thought-provoking. I love the premise, makes me want to see an actual story or game about it.
I feel like the low resolution was a bad decision as it made the game very confusing. A color palette would have benefited the visuals too. For what it is though, it's really cute and actually made sense despite its simplicity.
The game could have done with a tutorial/explanation because I had absolutely no idea what to do. Congratulations on doing your first Ludum Dare, though!
Definitely a great entry, right of the bat. The pixel art characters were cute and well animated despite it's simplicity and the game feel was actually rather good! The audio was pretty great too!
However, please don't make a jump in the z-axis with that camera angle. That one jump at the start of the game, left side of the room is straight-up unfair and annoying.
Great entry!
I'm not a fan of the feel of the controls and it felt very kazio. I don't know if that's what you were going for though. It was just the perfect length and it enticed me enough to see it through to the end with all parts.
