Wow! What a great take on Breakout! Feels really good and looks great with the colors you chose. How do you get to the next room? I wasn't sure if the skulls keep spawning because I didn't kill them fast enough or if they just spawn for a while. I'm still working on my optimal strategy.
Oh man! This is fantastic!!! Downwell + Pinball + Castlevania = Bloodcaster! Art is excellent and the vibes are exceptional. Amazing work! (Great name as well!)

Really well done game! It reminds me of Downwell a lot! Good usage of the theme!
Best game I've played yet! This is super fun. Love the 4 color art style. This feels like the most intense pong game ever made. Really awesome work!
Graphics are really amazing and arkanoid + theme combination great! Good job!
1. I have to tell Windows to force off DPI scaling, or it overflows and I can't see the HUD anymore. There may be an option in Godot to tell it to force DPI. 2. The enemies appear to move and shoot randomly, which is a missed opportunity to program interesting behavior. Good enemies don't need complex AI, they just need a pattern I can plan around.
I like the Downwell aesthetic so it's nice to see it again.

A very good spin on the classic breakout game. Although the artstyle is very very similiar to Downwell's it's actually a big plus. It works well with the gameplay, simple and effective. I could probably play the game for hours, although there could be some different enemies (maybe I just didn't get far enough). Overall very good!
I LOVE this game. Frenetic, game feel just right. The music and the graphics were awesome. Just a nitpick: please include a button to actually quit your game instead of making me go ALT+F4 <3

Awesome entry, the art is magnificent and the concept fits the theme perfectly. The only issue I have with this is that you can accidentally kill yourself if you have only one hp left, I wish it would just prevent your from shooting instead. Had a ton of fun though!

As other people have said, really like this take on breakout, the graphics are great. If I had one issue it's that it doesn't go beyond. I was really hoping for other enemy types, maybe some enemies that bounce the ball in weird ways, speed it up, slow it down, only vulnerable from certain directions. That aside, really solid entry.

The idea is very interesting although it takes a lot from an arkanoid game, i loved the music and art too, great job !!

Very nice! I love the downwell aesthetic, as well as managing my life/ammo by playing catch and dodge!
Brilliant use of the theme, beautiful art style. That was fun af!
This game seems really fun, except It somehow doesn't work on my computer. :(
@brownricestudio Can you tell me how it doesn't work? which OS are you using? you can send me a message at twitter.com/yongminparks or my itch.io page
@triplefox Thanks for telling me, I didn't keep that DPI scaling in mind. Since I don't own Windows machine, I only tested on macOS. I will look into it.
@yongminpark Aspect ratio simply breaks too much that I can't even see my character.
@brownricestudio can you show me a screenshot? I'm trying to fix and asking other people to figure out, but they need to see how is the game window looks like.
Also, does aspect ratio breaks in windowed mode too?

This is great. Loved the sounds, music, graphics, colors, everything! Albeit "simple", it was fairly well executed!

Great Game!! I the music was great and the game play felt great. The aesthetics reminded me of down-well.

Wow im not a huge fan of brick breaker games, but this was great. the art, the music and the mood I got playing where all fantastic! Great work. I like that fact that if you are out of blood you end your own life!
Man, this game is hard. Maybe I am just bad, which I do suck at most games. The art is great it reminds me a lot of Downwell and that's a good thing. Overall this is a great use of the theme in a mechanically way.

Really well polished game! I like the multi-purpose use of the core mechanic.
Man this was a fun, and a nice use of the theme too. The art is simple but pretty and neat to look at, and the music is great. The game's pretty hard too, and I like a challenge.
This is great! Love the sounds, the look, the gameplay. I really didn't want to stop playing. My only complaint is that your health is at the very top of the screen, but the game encourages you to keep your eye on the player. There were a few times that I not thinking I was out of blood shot off my last bit. Maybe having a visual queue on the player to indicate that I'm at least low so I can start playing more conservative or at least shoot a glance up to see what I am at. Overall great job! Great use of theme! You're awesome.
That was really original and on theme! Some feedback: - Great art. Very stylistic and consistent! Good job. - Controls seems good as far speed and responsiveness. Weird choice of keybinds 'Z' for start and 'X' for shoot. While 'Z' is shown in game, I had to read your game description to find how to shoot - I was trying a few more frequently used keys such as space and mouse left button. - I liked the screen shake. Add even more juiciness - its never enough :D - You could kill yourself when you are left with 1 hp. - I LOVE that you can shoot multiple blood points at the same time. It created emergent gameplay, where you could shoot slowly, giving time for the enemies to spawn, or you could try finishing faster by shooting a lot - but you will have harder time catching everything. Congratulations, great game!

This game is nice! It's this kind of game that you play when you have to have some free time and just want to play something. The theme was integrated very good (it's a core mechanic tho :3). And I love the visuals and sounds. Good job ;)
I keep coming back to this game! My personal favourite so far!!!
@jeffrey-newton-evans I'm glad that you enjoyed. Next plan for this game is, adding a "Faith" bar that charges every time when you attack, and gives you upgrades on each charged level. It can give some advantage to being aggressive.

Great game! Simple and consistent art style, zero problem with pixel perfect. It really feels retro! Although I suggest you to give in-game information about 'X' button or replace it with 'Z'. Anyway good job!

Oh man! This graphic style is my weakness. This prototype is really fun, you should try to add some more content (like different enemys and any form of healing) and publish it as a mobile game.
Really good job!

Awesome entry! Played really well and was a cool spin on a classic game! Only suggestion would be to try to develop your own visual style (even though i love the downwell influence!) and really make this your own!

Wow, what can I say that hasn't been said already. I really like the mechanic. I think you've got a winner here.
Please tell me that you're making a mobile version of this! The game is very good, and the art style with only 3 colors is beautiful!

Really fun. Graphic and music are amazing. The hit box of the player and blood is so work just how I want, making grabbing that blood bullet as it's almost completely underneath you feel awesome. I could see this really working well as a mobile game. Great work.
Oh boy, this is an amazing entry! The graphics are great, the music, the game-play, it all just fits so well together! I guess I only felt mild discomfort with the aiming mechanic at first, but I got used to it, and the spells ricocheting off of walls/enemies also helped. Really good work!

Your game looks really interesting, but I can't get it to run on my computer :( The screen doesn't want to show up, and when it does, it's only for a split second at a time. Do you know if there's a way around it (I'm on Windows 7)?
@niterich My sister said she cannot play on her laptop with Windows 8. I need to apologize to you that I only tested on macOS since that's the only thing I own. Few other people already reported the same issue. And I searched a lot to fix that ratio problem and still couldn't find the reason. But thanks for mentioning your Windows version, now I have another clue.

Reminds me of downwell. I enjoyed the challlenge but wish there was more variety in enemy types. I could see this being a commercial release of some sort. Nice job.
Really fun and really hard at the same time
Excellent feel and a great take on breakout! The screen shake is beautiful!

great game!
on linux tapping a movement key instantly moves me to one side or other of the screen, not able to play it. Looks fun, really wanted to try it. I wanted to try taking a look at your source code and see if I could get it working on my pc, but I don't see it linked anywhere on your itch.io page?

Nice graphics, cool concept! I included it in my compilation video series of games from the Ludum Dare, if you’d like to take a look :) https://youtu.be/kK0cQutPhIg
super cool game -- really love the idea and it worked so well -- need more blood!
