Very addicting game. Please develop this further! Mostly balancing, but also maybe some new guns?!
I found a bug where if you repeatedly charge more then charge less, the total amount of money you charge goes down, but the loyalty also goes down. Did you double check your multiplication? or is this a feature
@laniph Thanks!
@chris-coe yeah sorry about the level select. I got lazy and made the level unlock as soon as the final tile of that level is loaded into the game. Thanks for playing!
Graphically, this game is wonderful. It delivers in color design, character recognition, and in telegraphing of moves on a level that very few games can do in a Jam. I love the look and aesthetic of this game
Where this game falls short, on the other hand, is in movement and controls. I cannot play this game for more than a minute without getting frustrated. I really would like to, but there are some aspects that I can't grapple with. The movement feels floaty, and the dash feels incredibly hard to aim. The controls were slightly confusing, but that boils down to me being used to a certain control scheme when playing this type of game.
Again, I don't dislike the game, I just think the sloppy controls ruin the experience. Great work on sound design, visual design, and menus.
Great and simple game. Really nostalgic because it reminds me of the ice gym from Pokémon Ruby.

Hope you like it ;P
Absolutely incredible game. Whether you've realized it or not, you've really got something going here.
I love this game. You're rewarding accurate players, but also creating interesting situations from the walls that are placed when you miss. You can opt to only shoot the enemies, or create a strategic fort where you can take them on in bite-sized chunks. What I really like about this game is the fun and interesting situations that your mistakes can create, and the subtle ways you are pushed to perform better. There's a dynamic in the core gameplay that keeps me strategizing. I'm captivated by the simplicity.
There are naturally areas where this game can be improved, but this game is absolutely one of my favourites this jam.
I am recommending this to all of my friends
I really like the knockback on the eggs. Really satisfying with the little blast and the audio to it. What I don't get is how this is sacrificial? Do you sacrifice your siblings? Pretty good game otherwise
I can't judge this game. There are too many conflicting emotions. The game looks good, the platforming plays kinda clunkily, the tongue action is really satisfying, jumping on enemies feels great, there's a great deal of humour. Overall good work.
It's giving me an idea for a game where you play as a fisherman and you have a fishing rod and you toss stuff into the air like with the tongue here.
Broke up with my phone. 10/10
@vatigo Yes absolutely, the feedback is really iffy. We considered a color change and a sound effect, but time didn't allow it. I'll look at some similar games and see how they do it to take our game to the next level
@rytannic The soul increase system is just multiplication of the soul goal. I think finding the right soul amounts per level takes a bit more testing than we had time for. Not sure why the character jitters. Could be something with physics update and regular update being run at different times. Thanks so much!
@kanacell The souls carrying over was intentional! It just felt better to see the progress, and I think it made for a gameplay that rewarded a skilled player. The hitbox of the scythe could be moved a bit, but again I think the placement kinda rewarded a more cautious playstyle.
@derek-volker Thanks so much! We tried to have a focus on tactile and fun gameplay more than game mechanics this time, and I think it payed off. The music is definitely a point of improvement. I'm not really experienced enough of a music writer to write fitting music. Do you have an example of music that would be fitting? I would love to hear what you think
Downwell
i love this game
Some sweet game this cat's bringing home! I got stuck on level 7 and then my puzzle sponge retired, but neat game nonetheless. The cat petting was the best part.
I have successfully played the hell out of this game.
I have beaten the boss.
I have understood the boss.
I have analyzed the boss.
I have accepted the boss.
I have taken the boss into my heart.
But most of all, I have clicked my left mouse button.
10/10 thing to do instead of homework or sleep.
Some addictive shit you guys made here. I tried balancing out my stocks as much as possible and at one point the price of arms dropped so low that I was literally swimming in 'em. Could 'a just made a giant pole of arms and worked from home, pointing my giant arm through my piggy roof.

Thanks for participating!
HOO BOY WHAT A BLAST
To be honest I sunk a few more minutes into this than I thought I would. The gameplay is compelling, and the tone of the game is great if taken with a bit of salt. The graphics give me some sweet sweet mspa vibes and that rap song in level 3 is hilarious.
If anything I would have the speed not decay as fast, so you can really build some momentum.
Since there I couldn't get into another room, I'm not sure how the gameplay is
I love the idea of perspective affecting gameplay like that. Really outside of the box thinking, combining 2d and 3d like that
Amazing, I like how simple the game is.
Awesome art, I'm stunned as to how it was made so quickly.
@GettingRekt There is a known error where either the recipe is assigned incorrectly or the recipe doesn't work at all. We are looking into it and will probably have the cooking be easier and clearer in a coming patch
@Sandra-Jasionowska You can turn the pages in the book by scrolling, but we might add buttons in post-jam
Absolutely adorable and charming game, I would love to play this as a complete game
Great game, great concept, and great execution. What I would love to see is a bit more stable gameplay, as trying to do it in controlled jumps sometimes lead to falling off ledges. Maybe a square hitbox? Although that would probably lead to problems of its own. Bottom line is that it's a very pretty and appealing game that I would totally buy
There were a lot of problems with the gameplay itself, but I enjoyed the idea a great deal.
This felt very epic and thematic. I love the simplistic graphics and especially the sun. The controls could have been more clear, what with the buttons and all, but you figure it out eventually. The gameplay itself was very interesting, and could definitely be refined or even tailored to a very entertaining puzzle game
Despite controls being a bit wishy washy in terms of stability, I love the game. It's a great deal of fun, and the tone of the game is great.
hoLY SHIT THIS GAME IS A MASTAPIECE
