I love the concept, the aesthetic and the gameplay. One thing: maybe you should make clearer the difference between height steps, they were a bit difficult to distinguish.

Hey! I loved the game. A bit floaty for my platformer tastes, but I kept playing til the end and I would be playing it more if it was more game! Good job.
I LOVED the music haha! It's hard to differentiate the characters sometimes!
Cool aesthetic. I have a feedback suggestion to you, let's see if I can explain it as my english is not native: when you are pressing right and up in the keyboard, and you crash against a wall, the character stops. It would be pretty nice to have the character just keep moving right instead of negating all your input.
One of the best games of this jam. Congratulations!
Loved the art and the idea. Consider applying a 'force back' motion when you're hurt!
Was funny! It would be great tho, if when you select a role, said role appeared on the head of the character in the role selection screen. Would make it more clear.
Also, this is really nitpicking, but try to use a single pixel size if you're using pixelart, although I've just seen it in the title screen.
Very nice game. Love the vector-style graphics. It's really fun, the gamefeel is great.
Hey! As the jam submission time wasn't over and there's a few commenters who have problems with the controls, I've just updated the game with more alternative control schemes. Now you can use SPACEBAR to jump and ALT/ALTGR to grab enemies
@neon-glass (they're called Eggwards. Poor eggward) <3
@michno You actually should be able to! Keep the key pressed and the character will jump to the top level.
@randomphantom Yeah I've never come to be happy with that. As a curiosity, it actually isn't entirely random! It takes in mind the number of monsters of each type actually in the field, and it has a veeery low chance to ask for an enemy that's not spawned. But I never managed to make it exactly like wanted!
Thank you all for playing! :)
I really, really loved this one! Listen, I find it harsh to have a TIME to write the words. While I'm finding a clever substitute for "fire" Mr. Slime McSlime is hitting me hard, haha!
I didn't really know what to do with the numbers on screen. The voice wasn't clear. But I enjoyed the level design. Cool work :)
It's a reeeally strange use of the theme BUT the game is extremely good, I loved it! It's addicting and it has great gameplay. As a suggestion for the next time, maybe if it was a crosshair or something... I felt I died sometimes because I didn't know where I was pointing at (keeping track of the little canon the player has was difficult).
Really good. I like how the howling sound makes perfect sense in a game like this. With music, it wouldn't be the same. I feel like you have done it well, I don't think you need to label the machines, because this way you learn by discovery. In one run I ran out of gillions. I suppose it's intended you have to wait until you die without energy, right? Anyway, cool one!
Also the artwork is perfectly fine. Keep in mind: it's better when you do the most with what you have, or with what you KNOW to do. And you did. It's minimalistic. It DOESN'T need more. And as a whole, the graphics and the rest of the game really match together.
This is extremely good. Well done, team! I love the narrative flow in this one. It's superb. The graphics are charming and comfy, and the music is astounding (fingerspit's a goddess with this moody, sorrow feeling). I love how the music was layered and progressed.
If I had to say ONE bad thing... I clicked the right mouse button a couple of times and I skipped some dialog when I didn't want to T_T
Good job!
I love the music!!
Two things: it would be great to have a better visual feedback to the player when they 'use' a skull into a fire. Something like a flash, a bang, you know.
And the most important: don't feel bad, I'm just saying this to all games based on colour alone: think about colourblind people. Use silhouettes. Symbols. But no colours alone.
This is really good, the graphics are really charismatic, and the music is superb. Hey! Put the LD submission link on itch! I discovered your game through another hosted there and I had to search it manually here to vote!
I LOVE this game. Frenetic, game feel just right. The music and the graphics were awesome. Just a nitpick: please include a button to actually quit your game instead of making me go ALT+F4 <3
Quite engaging! Ridiculously polished for a game jam! Good job! I miss a 'click' sound for when I move the pieces.
Charming game with charismatic graphics. I feel hard to distinguish the spike traps from the first dungeon (past the bridge) but its really addicting! It's a shame dying once makes you restart the game!
The game idea is cool, but please, remember to give proper visual or audio feedback to the player whenever they're hit or they hit an enemy. It could have been a lot better!
Cool concept! Maybe some sound effects for when a teddy dies outside your view would have been cool
It's fun! The controls were a tad slippery, but if I'd have to signal one thing that thing would have to be the fact that you have to restart all the game from the beginnin when you die, specially because there's no feedback when you're being hurt, too.
I made 21! The game is pretty fun! I love rythym games. I was laughing the WHOLE time everytime the sacrifices went WAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Hahaha
The diagonals are pretty hard to strike, tho!
OMG this is too funny, haha! I love the aesthetic. Sometimes right click to change the color of the chicken doesn't work, so it feels a bit clunky. But it's a fun concept. The camera may be a bit too confusing though. Great work!
PD: Praise chickens our true lords.
I REALLY love your game, in all aspects. Great, simple, crisp and beautiful pixelart (minimalistic in a good way). Great chiptune music (what did you use to make it? Curious).
I liked the concept a lot, but what I love the most is the order you presented the levels. A nice, nice, nice way to make a tutorial!
Ohhhhh maaan, I reaaaally liked the idea behind the game and it is so funny but... I find myself unable to play with ASKL. A piece of advice: I THINK it would be great to have tha actual letters show in the traps. Because even if I KNOW what letters correspond to what colour, I find it very hard to coordinate my fingers.
Also, and this is important: think about colour-blind people. They can't play this game. But if you add the letters...
Very cool concept! I was surprised by the game, was really fun! I know pixelart is probably not your strongest skill, but consider using only one size of pixel unit! That's the only critique I can make though, the game is cool, the concept is great and the interpretation of the theme is superb.
Haha! I love this! You could have put different faces to the island to make up for the absence of a health bar.
Haha I was in fact wondering what was up with those fishy fishes
