ROBOTS DON'T HAVE HEARTS, YOU FOOL. But okay, I'll save those Ginions :p
This is really well done! I think maybe you could have more of the little aliens to work with. I only managed to save 3.
@barrier Thanks, yeah i should do some balancing in the future
Wow, this game has a surprising amount of depth! I really liked it :D It's also really damn tough to beat, haha! Keeping those little fellas warm isn't easy. Some tips: maybe label the machines, so I don't end up throwing a ginion in the lower machine because I think that it will produce a battery ':) Other than that, I ended up getting stuck underneath my own rocketship (but that's just a little bug). Good job on making it, nice work! Ps. your artwork and animations are superb!
Spectacular. First play I didn't quite get what I was supposed to do - didn't realize the Ginions were dying until it was too late and I wasted a lot of time fiddling around, but second play got me to the end.
The artwork is beautiful - that li'l robot has a lot of character for a tiny sprite and the Ginions are cute. The sounds are great. It feels like you're floating in the lonely void of space. I thoroughly enjoyed this.
A fun little game, i really enjoyed playing it and trying to save the ginions. But i am a bad robot, only 1 of them surviveved. Every other Ginion died for batterys or motherboard upgrades. A well done game with nice artwork ^^
@virtual-turtle-studio Thanks man. My artwork is not really good. That robot and ginions are something like 10 pixels by 10 pixels
Really good. I like how the howling sound makes perfect sense in a game like this. With music, it wouldn't be the same. I feel like you have done it well, I don't think you need to label the machines, because this way you learn by discovery. In one run I ran out of gillions. I suppose it's intended you have to wait until you die without energy, right? Anyway, cool one!
Also the artwork is perfectly fine. Keep in mind: it's better when you do the most with what you have, or with what you KNOW to do. And you did. It's minimalistic. It DOESN'T need more. And as a whole, the graphics and the rest of the game really match together.
One of my favourite games until now, congratulations! I really like the atmosphere and the final decission. Maybe I miss some kind of signal about where are the Ginion appearing.
@daruudaruu I don't need music, umm okay that saved me a lot of time
I don't know if you did but the game actually ends when you charge up the spaceship and load it with scraps  But other than that yeah, you die after some time. At first, it was raining ginions all of the time. But I changed that because that way it wouldn't make sense that they crashed their spaceship. Thanks for the feedback!
@sapphiris Thanks, great point. An old-school radar might be cool and nice to have. Definitely on my todo list for post-compo version
Awesome stuff! Pretty challenging and the art and sounds are great. Cool idea too! Sacrificing a few little Ginions to save the others fits the theme perfect.
Good game ! I really liked it, you should continue it ! (add a controls option for your europeans fellas :p )
Absolutely amazing game, I love the concept and the artstyle, good work.
I liked the concept of using batteries and toaster to keep the robot alive.
Good game! I liked the artstyle, and it's a nice take on the theme. Good job
Woops, I sascrificed them all, as if they were juste some kind of ressource. And then I read the instructions and played again.
0 died from cold, 5 sacrificed for batteries (1 for me, 1 for keeping them warm, 3 for the ship) and 7 saved.
The music is nice but doesn't really fit the icy planet I think. The graphics on the other hand are VERY well done and cute. Good job
You're right in the theme and your concept is interesting. I was so sad for the tiny creatures.
Great entry! The core gameplay mechanic was solid, graphics and audio were simple but effective. Too bad the genocide option won't actually let you choose it, an alternate ending would have been cool. Nicely done.
awesome good~! i fun.
@sheldonzs Thanks for the feedback. Yeah i really really wanted to make an alternative ending where all of them die and you wait for the storm to calm down and continue your life...
But i literally made the ending scene at 2am
I am going to make a post-compo version with alternate ending and much more depth because that sounds cool
Really liked the game! Nice way of applying the theme!
Great game! The balance of experimentation vs discovery really helps to keep the player on. The "what happens if I put this there" shines on the game. The art is great, all very coherent and interesting. About the art, some textures were missing, maybe? I had pink blinks on the creatures that didn't seem to match the game's visuals. There's a solid design work there and a very good entry! Congrats!
I love it! You get perfect scores from me! You're pretty good at this gamedev thing, aren't you!!
@mestrerothld Thanks, dude! I think I made the learning curve "by mistake" but it looks like it worked pretty well. And the reason is whatever you do, it gives you a little notification of what happened. Will use that technique in most of my games
Wow! That cgMusic thing is the real deal! Oh, your game is also pretty nice I suppose. *(jk, it's awesome!)*
It feels weird to even bother with upgrades, since the game is so short. You can complete it with only a handfull of sacriifices if you don't do any upgrades. The upgrades could be useful if the game was longer, but as it stands, is a pointless murder machine. There was also a few things that weren't instantly obvious, but should have been. One such thing was the heater, which had red filament, indicating it being on, whilst really it was off. Took me a while to realise that the heater had to be powered and healed the ginions.
Otherwise, the game was fairly straight forward, and whilst it didn't provide any challenge, was rather fun. Nice creation!
I very like your game :D Very well executed ;)
