I really liked non-euclydean puzzles, thanks. Had some fun searching for those shelves, nice! Last book is my favorite ;)
Awesome! Loved every bit, I felt a little strange removing memories of daughters and weddings, but quite funny overall. Thanks for this gem ;)
Unfortunately I can't make it work in my Windows 10 computer, it stays a black centered window and nothing happens. A pity because I loved the graphics and the concept.
Glad to see more games made with Godot! I didn't know at first you can shot slime and got 0% every time. Nice concept anyway!
I enjoyed this one pretty much! The situations are hilarious, and this reminds me a lot to a book from Eduardo Mendoza "No word from Gurb", I hope it's an homage. Thanks!
Really loved the concept and the graphics, it gets easy fast to kill the brawlers, but it's hard time when three chests in a row aligns. Nice! I'm level 12 right now and enjoyed a lot. One of the best games this jam. Thanks!
Funny game! Really good to put those nasties to death so I can climb up to the top. Damn, this reminds me of some previous jobs I had... Good job! ;)
Nice game! The pixel art and music are lovely, a little bit hard to control, and difficult raises because no "invincible time" after being hit, but a great game nonetheless. Thanks!
Hahaha, nice game! The controls are quite hard but I managed to escape after 15 deaths... I'm full of ape shit. Thanks for the good time!
Nice job, I appreciate the tutorial, even if it's a bit long, but soon the game becomes repetitive. Liked the music.
That's a funny plot, haha! Had some great time splattering zombie-tomatoes, thanks. The final boss should be a pinneapple, definitely.
Amazing game, so deep, the ambient sound and the music, the art... loved every bit. Thanks for this masterpiece.
I spent half my insanity finding how to open the door in the first room, haha, this ruined the mood a bit, but totally my fault for not reading before. Thanks for the goosebumps, nice game.
Nice! Loved the pixel art, the music and the unexpected new game++ experience. Also loved to see more Godot games here. Thanks!
Glad to see more games done with Godot, even if the black hole engulfed me and 60 billion people, haha. Enjoyed the game, the ui is a bit hard to grasp, but nice gameplay after all. Thanks!
Really loved it! Got stuck at lvl 21 (the last one?) I liked the art and the sound and the puzzle design. Good job! PS: I've just finished the last level. GREAT puzzle design, congrats!
Nice puzzler here, good job on the simplicity of the design, clear gameplay and good puzzles.
Loved the level design, how to include three different paths in so little space. Also an unexpected second level when I thought it was the end... Amazing. A round entry. Thanks.
Great puzzler here! Loved the mechanics and the last proper level, had quite an amazing brain time solving it. Thank you!
OMG this kawaii typing battle videogame! The pace of the game is good, loved the cute graphics and the chaos at sacrifice time. Enjoyed a lot, though it's quite difficult. Good job!
My god, one of the best entries of the jam, no doubt. Loved the art and the pace, the game is fluid and leave no place to boredom. I suffer from Evil RNG illness, so I can't get pass level 4, but had a great (and hard) time trying! This is a rock solid entry. Thanks!
Amazing game, loved the polish on graphical, sound and collectibles, quite replayable also. Gob job!
Nice game, I'm a big McMillen fan myself and loved your style. I got to 105 score points and got totally alone, so I can't sacrifice anybody (not even myself, would've be something) Good job!
Really liked the game! Just hard enough to be challenging, but not too much. Had some fun reaching the end, thank you.
Lovely game! Reminds me somehow of Aether, liked the voices and the graphics a lot, saved everyone in 10 minutes, needed a bit more of the game. Good job!
Nice game! At 13K points the screen was so full of chaos that all I could do without dying was flee like coward, haha. Although this kept me alive for some more minutes. Loved all the little references to space films and games. Great entry, thank you!
Nice roguelite! It's not that hard to grasp what's happening after a while (and some deaths), enjoyed quite a bit running around. Thanks!
Nice casual game, liked the art and the idea (although a bit cruelish) Don't know how I got to the game over screen but that's fine.
Nice mashup you did here, the gameplay is great although I tried to play solo and it's hard hard work. Good job!
Nice game! I very liked the art and the music. Also, the theme fits perfectly and the sacrifices are kinda punishing, good move. What I find counterintuitive is that parties take turns, not characters. When a team gets reduced to one character, this one must be overwhelmed by a party of four, but it takes four turns instead. I enjoyed the game anyway. Thank you!
At first I was totally freaking out thinking my browser had mess up with textures or something, then I understood, hehehe. Nice twist in the car driving genre, much replayability albeit not much to discover more than the main mechanic. A nice contribution, anyway. Thanks
Nice one, had some fun poking around the bank, but my take is that with this walking speed no wonder the robber got caught, haha. Good job
Nice puzzler! The difficuly curve makes a big leap in the last level, but it's rewarding. Liked the graphics and puzzle design. Good job!
Great job! I haven't laughted so much in days, hahaha. It's a cross between Wolfenstein3D and Nanowar of Steel. The graphics are lively and lovely, the gameplay it's actually really fun, and the music... Oh, the music. Although I missed a final boss battle... Thank you!
Very original puzzler! The narrator creates a funny atmosphere, the sprites are lovely and the puzzles well done. Good job!
Fun, I liked old celtic god catchy phrases, haha. I'd like a spin-off where you play as him, not the old f*rt santa. Good job!
Great game! It's like "Kill the Bad Guy" meets "Angry Birds". I'm ashamed to say I enjoyed taking those limbs out, haha. I've reach the God of Freedom, so everything's ok right now. Thank you!
Good pick on the theme, I didn't get too far on the charts though. Liked the simplicity of graphics. Nice job
Good resource management game, although after three levels it gets a bit repetitive. Liked the names and bios of people, contrasting with the impersonal stick figures. Nice job!
No matter what you say, in my mind this are happening in the same universe as The Red Strings Club. It's always pleasant to live an experience designed by Deconstructeam. Thank you for this great artwork.
Good entry! It reminds me of The Swapper and, of course, LIMBO. Good to see other Godot projects, specially if sharing the source code. A great experience overall. Thanks!
Big entry! I loved how you unlock new abilities but at what cost? Also liked this powerups act as checkpoints... I couldn't have finished the game without it. Really enjoyed the lowrez although the camera dizzied me a bit, but nothing serious. A very good piece of art in overall. Thank you!
Good game! Enjoyed sneaking around with the corpses and solving the puzzles, found a bug where I sacrificed the last body and the end screen was shown during a frame just before starting again the game. Really liked the ambient and the graphics. Great job!
Nice looking funny game with catchy tune. Enjoyed when the character went off-limits. It's an open world? :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Good job
Nice game! Three levels feels short but enough to get the potential behind the mechanics. Good job!
Twisty! Really loved discovering the abilities of each character, great surprise! Good job!
Got me some satan to help me. You won't believe what happened next...
Nice twist in the idle/clicker genre, liked the art, although demons of the same kind tend to group and bother each other, so there's no point to get more than one of each type. As others said, difficult scaling should be the next for the game to be a challenge. Good job overall!
Really enjoyable puzzle-platformer, liked the art and the soft plushies. Twitter interaction is a nice extra also. Good job!
Nice story, played twice to check multiple paths, the ambient is dark and brutal, loved every bit. Thank you!
Nice! I can see a lot of work here for a one person jam project! The scroll and level design are pretty neat and polished, though the theme's a bit off. Glad to see more Godot games here. Good job!
Throw them Bobs into the abyss! Nice idea and execution. Loved the gorish pixels :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
@renan-moura @ants-aare @sir-syko @abso @avi @hugonun @niborious Thank you all for playing! Glad you liked it!
I'd love to have made more levels, but time was crushing me. More mechanics were planned, and more prominence of current ones... Maybe I'll be back to update it once the jam finishes.
@cambryx Glad you liked the experience! I tried to expose the mechanics by forcing the player into some situations, but I think it went quite well overall. I also hoped to set more levels, I'll expand it once the jam is over. Shame I can only like your comment once :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Thanks for playing and commenting!
@hugo-kieffer Glad you liked the story, thanks for playing!
@eva-abollivier That was the first thought it came to mind when the theme came out. I'm glad it resonated within you. Thanks!
@rk3omega glad you had fun! I enjoy "aha" moments in videogames, that you found some of those in my game makes me happy. You're right on the main character, it looks a bit bland compared to the rest, may rework in a possible future release. Thank you!
@irock glad you liked the narrative! Even though English is more like my third language, I tried to explain what I feel directly and may have made some mistakes, my bad.
For the movement and mechanics, I wanted small levels to introduce them visually and unmistakably, but it may not be clear to everyone. Negative feedback sounds looks like the answer here. Also, direction of enemies could be made more obvious somehow.
Now that you mention easing, I played with it a lot during development, because ease-out made the player collide with more enemies than I wanted. I left this for late consideration, but ended in the final release as it is now.
Thanks for taking your time to play (and replay) the game and comment
@shieldgenerator7 Thanks for playing! What do you think I could improve to make the mechanics more understandable? (I still owe you a tweet about my plush, I'll keep it as a hostage)
@hukee Nice! Glad you enjoyed and played until the very end. Or is it? Thanks for playing!
@kenn50games can you elaborate on this? Would like to know what to fix for the game to be clear.
@kirke I sacrificed (pun) art direction (music, sprites) in order to have more time for game, story and level design. I think it went quite well. Glad you liked it! Hope to add more levels in a post-jam edition. Thanks for playing!
@freakoftheyear glad you liked it! I grabbed music and art from public domain sources so I can have more time for designing and coding. You can get the details at the game's page description in itch.io
Thanks for playing!
@subtlydramatic glad you enjoyed! I'm more of a "pixel art" guy, but they're quite hard to do right in a small time frame, so I focused on development and design. Thanks for your kind words and for playing!
@codesity @sadsmile @sadzanenyama Glad you enjoyed it! It's grateful when someone praises your work. Thanks for playing and commenting!
@huvaakoodia thank you for the extense review, really helpful!
About the sacrifice theme, I'd like to add choice mechanics, but this involved harder and clever level design which I haven't mastered enough. The player just *must* sacrifice life to reach the goal. There's no alternative to this, unfortunately. But who knows, maybe in the future I can revisit this idea...
Totally agree on the visuals, I should have put more effort on showing what's happening around the mechanics. Blinking icons, red colors, just the sound isn't enough.
The narrative could have been better, since I'm not a writer nor English is my first language, but I could've work harder on this part. Just dumped my thoughts and emotions into this as it happened. No offense taken, that's why we're here.
I'm very grateful for the time you took to play and comment, thank you again!
@raphael-maia @raindrinker some mechanics I had in mind didn't make it to the final game, I hope to make a big update in the future, glad you liked it.
@simanis glad you got here by recommendation, I'm pretty bad at marketing so that's really nice, even more so that you liked it not being a puzzle-lover. About the controls, I might rework this on future releases, thanks!
@hectigo @conk noted some enhancements so it's clear what's the goal and the differences between the mechanics.
@imdagger @maytch @jiri-hysek @theonethatneverwas Thanks everyone for playing!
Nice game, though I got to 11 deaths and got tired. The sound and graphics are great, quite fit. Good job!
Cool, rocking atmosphere, it reminds me of Lost Vikings, but instead of habilities you teamwork to surpass inabilities. Physics look a bit glitchy, specially when jumping, but this doesn't tarnish the end result. Good job!
Enjoyed playing although it kinda gets repetitive after three levels, I see and appreciate the effort made to build the game, thanks.
Nice game, don't be so critical to yourself. It's only natural to want our games to have lots of features, but time is light and short. So, as the theme says, sacrifices must be made. Jams are great moments to learn, to put yourself out of the comfort zone, to try new things... Be it a new engine, using GitHub, or doing task management. The game look is simple but it's also difficult, and the idea is great, fits perfectly the theme. Do not be discouraged and keep enjoying what you do!
Kinda hard to spam-click when mouse is leaving the area every now and then. Maybe it's my problem having two monitors... Don't know. Nice clicker game, anyway. Thanks
Nice take on the theme, although levels were a bit smaller and the health sacrifice is always the best pick. I think I skipped some levels because it appeared the sacrifice screen again when starting. Good job overall.
The art is nice, but the game gets flat after some waves, specially when some waves are totally... empty? I don't know if it's a bug. I like the voice acting, gets in the overall atmosphere. Nice job
Thanks to you @kirke @lucidus and all the team for making an enjoyable game. I'm not a platformer fan but I enjoyed a lot playing all the way to the end. I'm also an achiever, so I can't let those skulls all over the place. I hope more people reach the final altar!
Had to play three times until I get the point, looks like a mix of tower defense and rts-lite. Kinda difficult, though. Thanks
Lovely game, I saw it on twitter and run to play it, but I get tired at the 6th chest. Agreed with @shawn-moore, this can be a good funny game, it just needs a twist for engagement. Good job anyway!
Nice one, had a hard time getting to wave number 6, main problem was the castle and trees blocking my view of lateral enemies. The overall feeling is great, liked the polishing of the UI. Good job!
Nice, I like the low-poly theme, music is good but becomes repetitive fast. The twist on the theme is great. Good job.
Nice twist to the infinite runner genre, loved the slowmo time and the robot dance. It's hard to now where you're directing the robot, but it adds up to the game... Good job!
Loved this twisted version of The Lost Vikings, hahaha. Pretty funny and engaging, puzzles grow in difficulty and have some "aha" moments when you discover the mechanics of each character. It made me want more levels. Sure the controls are a bit weird, but you get the feeling fast. Thanks for this gem!
Nice clicker game, although if you've played enough of those this should be easy (no need to sacrifice points at all). Thanks for the experience
Hi, I tried the game but it looks quite buggy... At first it didn't got my keystrokes, then after a restart it started making a loud sound when sacrificing objects... Sorry, I could not rate the game that way. The pixel art looks great so far. Hope you can fix those bugs! Keep the good work!
Nice contribution, I wondered how many dead ends can a maze have... I think I visited all of them. Good job
