The game feel is really good, getting upgrades are satisfying, and each upgrade makes a significant change. Also you manage to do all this solo @verbante which is very impressive. :) Would love to see more of you, and more of this metroidvania!

I really liked the map design, and graphics. I had fun with the gameplay, nice job! :)
Movement is a bit rough, but overall very cool game !
Fun game. I found it difficult to reach higher areas.

Liked how you got the upgrades, and loved that there was a wall jump mechanic, although it was a bit rough and got a bit frustrating sometimes. I had fun and playing, and the homemade sound effects, and some music on top was good for the mood.

@pierkwadrat @craftlord @mekuri @vlad-dae Based on your ( and my room mate's :D ) feedback, I tweaked the wall jump mechanic in the post jam version (which is on itch.io) a bit to make it more accessible and easier. It didn't feel too difficult for me probably because I played ALL kinds of platformer before and some had harder wall jump mechanics :D. So thank you for pointing out and let me now if it's still too hard. Also thank you for your compliments about music, sound effects, graphics, effects and overall funness, coolness.

The game feels good! the ukulele's song is a hit and goats are cute and full of hate at the same time! D: I loved the mix between the calm music and the leafs that fall down slowly. I were in a status of absolute peacefulness while playing. Good work indeed! :)
Nice. A bit difficult though. I got the impression that the game was very polished even though you had only three days to finish it. Good job ;)
Tough game but fun! I found it a little tricky to gauge when I was able to throw the knives and I found the turning-around wasn't very responsive but that added to the complexity of the game. Loved the art and the goats. The music was also very soothing and gave a cool mood impression. Just one point, I found the base jump height to be very high, which took me into spikes a lot of the time which was a tad frustrating >_<

I think the base code I started with, has a delay when turning around on ground. I didn't found it to be significant but now that you mertioned I will look into it. It isn't super clear where will knives go and I agree it adds to the complexity (of did you mean turning delay does this? Anyway I'll look into this too). Regarding the base jump height, usually the intended solution is to drop down to a wall before jumping. Tho I just realised this is kind of a mean intended solution because you can control how much you'll jump in most platformers (maybe I should make mine like that too). Thank you about goats and music. It makes me sad that I can never up the cute goats. It was the climax of my art career and now awaits a long mundane decline :)

@cevantime Nice. It's the first time someone calling one of my games polished. I may hang this to my wall :D Which part did you find diffucult?

@hav24 aah thanks maan! It's awesome that the game put you in a state of peacefullness.
@verbante basically jumping from a wall. Not very used to that kind of control. When I said polished, I didn't necessarly meant graphically :P but I had the feeling that you had a good control of what you were doing. Oh by the way, it's always a pleasure to see people make a good use of godot :)

@cevantime Thanks, it means more to me now. I love Godot and it is pretty capable, tho sometimes it is hard to figure out how to achieve something. Such as walljump :D (I'm proud of my code). You were playing the postJam version tho right, walljump is way easier in postjam

I couldn't beat it. I was stuck after I climbed the floating paltforms after the mountain of goats. Two platforms were blocking my way, and I couldn't figure out how to get past them. I tried to go in the other direction, but I found no other way to progress. Did I miss something?

@quasar47 Did you get the dash prior to that? By killing the goat at the top of the lefternmost room at the second floor. I think it is possible to proceed until the part you described without the dash. Tho passing that part is still tricky with the dash, and could use some rework. You either have to exploit infinite-one-walljump which becomes possible by combining walljump and dash. Or you have dash- land on the right wall- walljump and dash left. Sorry for that part :D
Hey, this is pretty neat! Pretty ambitious to try a Metroidvania for a game jam. ;) I think you were able to pull it off pretty well! The music and the artwork were both relaxing and charming, probably my favorite aspect of it, really.
You maaaaaaayyyy want to look into picking a more standard resolution to display your game in, though. I'm running a dual-monitor setup, both with a resolution of 2650x1440, and the game looked a little something like this:
dualscreen.png
As you can see, it kinda bleeds into my second monitor there. Not sure how that's happening, but it's also clipping off my character's current health in the bottom-left corner. :(
As for the gameplay, I definitely found it engaging enough. One suggestion I may have is, if they only attack you currently have is a straight-thrown knife attack, it's kiiiind of unfair to have the first enemies you encounter in the game be flying enemies that come at you from above. It's very difficult to kill those enemies without taking at least one point of damage if you have a limited attack toolset at the beginning.
Still though, this seems like a pretty classic Metroidvania-style game, well done!

Nice! I can see a lot of work here for a one person jam project! The scroll and level design are pretty neat and polished, though the theme's a bit off. Glad to see more Godot games here. Good job!
